I have visited Gio several times for both brunch and dinner. It is consistently good. They have plenty of parking in a shared lot with other businesses The decor is modern and classy but not pretentious. There is so much natural light streaming in from the big windows. The staff is phenomenal and personable. Every dish I've had has been top-tier and my companions have all enjoyed their choices as well. I love that they offer hot beignets during brunch hours. I recommend reservations, no matter the time of day.

We remember this place first as Vito's. Vito's before the name switched to GIO. GIO has been a top choice for us when looking for a place to gather with family and friends whether to celebrate a life event or just an excuse to come together for comfort Italian food. We came here for Sunday brunch to celebrate my aunt's birthday in mid February. Venue and ambiance did not disappoint and provided that warm and welcoming vibe as we entered the restaurant. The complimentary donut holes for the table is a great way to start our dining experience. The brunch menu had a variety of items from omelets, familiar breakfast items, breakfast pizzas, along with sandwiches and salads. There was something available for each of our preferences. I ordered the veggie omelet and my mom ordered the grilled chicken avocado sandwich. Everyone else at our table dug into their food before I could take photos. It appears breakfast pizza was most ordered item at our table. We enjoyed our meals and the portions are decent sized for the prices on the menu. We were all able to take home left overs for our next meal which is a bonus for extra good eats and saving time later preparing future meal. Our server was busy, yet he made sure our whole party was attended to the whole time. He even surprised my aunt with a complimentary birthday dessert of her choice. We look forward to warmer weather for patio seating and added bonus is it is pup friendly. Our sweet Teddy is ready to return especially for happy hour Fridays with his mama and papa.

Met a friend here for dinner before attending an event at the Factory. Evidently many people were doing that because so many diners appeared to be on the same time table which makes it challenging for staff but they accommodated very well. I ordered a salad and the risotto which I had to ask for minor changes to each. The server assured me it was no problem and he was right! Order came out perfectly. The fresh berry salad is fantastic! Just the right combination of berries, cheese, greens. My risotto was good but not the best. Needed to be creamier IMO. My friend said her salad was good. One issue with this place is the noise level. It was so loud in there. If you struggle in a loud environment go early or late to avoid crowds.

My friend suggested this place for happy hour on a Friday and it was great. The space inside was spacious, and casually upscale/elegant. It was surprisingly slow when we went from 5-7 on a Friday. Service was friendly and efficient. All the drinks on drink menu are part of happy hour. They had ample seating inside but also had some patio seating as well. Everything on the food happy hour menu is $7. The arancini and whiskey shrimp from happy hour were good and each comes as a serving of 2. They also serve complimentary bread with individually wrapped unsalted butter, a plate of olive oil & balsamic, and a side of parmesan. Overall, would recommend and return again!

Gio Modern Italian - Chesterfield, MO Listen. If you're looking for a happy hour that feels fancy without wrecking your bank account, Gio's is your spot. I popped in with some friends and left wondering why this place isn't packed every weekday at 4:01 PM. Here's what I had (and didn't share): Elderflower Spritz - crisp, floral, and everything I wanted from a summer cocktail Lavender French 75 - looked like a dream, tasted even better Three apps ALL for me: -- White bean hummus with crostini and olives = light but satisfying -- Arancini balls = golden, cheesy goodness -- Meatballs = saucy, cheesy, and basically the main character The damage? Just $44 for TWO cocktails and THREE appetizers. I've paid more for gas and gotten less joy. The ambiance is stylish without being stuffy, the service was friendly, and the vibe gave "we brunch and we close deals." TL;DR: Delicious, affordable, and totally worth the calories. Go. Order it all. Thank me later. Chesterfield Valley Perfect lighting for food pics. You know that matters. I was craving Italian and stumbled across this place. I DoorDashed since I had left work late. It was ready and to me pretty quickly which was nice. I ordered the spicy crab linguine and added a small Caesar salad. When I got my food - I was not expecting the huge portion! I also got some complimentary bread so that was exciting since I was unsure and craving some. The Caesar salad was good - came with croutons and shaved Parmesan which always makes this salad better. The bread was good - wish it had come with butter. The spicy crab linguine was tasty. Lots of crab meat, huge portion, sauce was good and plentiful.

Starving and shameless per my usually so I did brunch and lunch at Gio's. One or the other are for quitters and I'm an expert. For Lunch, I had the whiskey shrimp and they were saucy, garlicky, Parmesany. So addictive. Bring me another order right now. For Brunch, have to keep things #stlouispescatarianapproved so lobster benedicts it is. They gave me the hollandaise on the side for Instagram pour-action. The bread was a crispy baguette instead of the boring English muffin. Service fast & bar vibes strong. I even got work done while eating! That's overachieving on a Saturday!

Went here for a brunch recently! Our service and server were amazing. She was very nice and helpful. Our favorite item was the strawberry bruschetta. All the food was good but not amazing. We got complimentary donuts for the birthday girl. We sat outside and it was beautiful. Lots of parking as the lot is huge.

I made a reservation for mother's day. We were seated 25 minutes after our reservation time. The manager was apologetic saying they were slammed for mother's day. After being seated, we had to wait another 10 minutes for water because "they had to clean the glasses". What restaurant doesn't have enough drinkware during dinner service? We were told that the soup of the day was one thing and then a completely different soup was given. The waiter said they must have just run out and switched it. Our waiter was extremely kind and offered a free dessert for the soup mix up. We did not get any bread service. The waiter said they were out, but then later came out with a basked of bread. The pasta portions are egregiously large and the taste was mid. The restaurant wasn't terrible, but I would not come here on any holiday.

I hadn't been here in ages, and going back reminded me just how much I've missed this place. I'd been eyeing their brunch menu for a while, so my boyfriend and I finally went to check it out--and it did not disappoint. We started with the shrimp appetizer, which was incredibly creamy and bursting with flavor. I ordered the chicken sandwich on focaccia--so delicious--and my boyfriend got the lox sandwich, which was super fresh. We love their nice outdoor patio, and the service was just as great. They were on top of our drinks, and everything came out quickly. From past visits, I still remember how consistently good their pizza, house salad, and pastas are. This place always delivers, and we'll definitely be back soon!

Neither of us had been here, but a friend recommended we go. It was on my list of restaurants to try so I was more than happy to go! We were served by Shannon. Shannon had such a wonderful sense of humor telling my husband no phones or watches at the dinner table he also kept the bread coming. Like I said, it was a full house so we were eating bread for a while. It was so worth the wait though. My husband got the benedito's farfalle since his favorite pasta is bow tie and I ordered the Rigatoni alla Nino. Mine was delicious and the perfect amount of spicy. The salmon was UGH. Chef's kiss, but my husband's order? I WOULD GET THAT TOO. He ate two baskets of bread though. Lucky for me. I told him he better ask for the rest of his to go because it will have my name written all over it! I was so close to finishing mine but alas, I was too full. Luckily not full enough because we got this dessert. This secret dessert lol what a show. It was made at our table. (I love when restaurants do this) it looked like vanilla bean ice cream with amaretto, a sauce I couldn't tell what that was, and sliced almonds. I am sure I'm missing other ingredients but HOLY COW. Everyone in the restaurant was staring. It was quiet the show. I was scared my hair would go up in flames but he's a pro. That would not happen. The first visit but certainly not the last. The linguine di mare was enjoyable, though somewhat heavy-handed with butter and garlic, which slightly overshadowed the dish's balance. Unfortunately, the service significantly detracted from the overall experience. Despite having a reservation at 6:30pm, and a simple order for two, our entrées did not arrive until approximately an hour after ordering. The delay was excessive and ultimately forced us to leave as soon as the food arrived, leaving us to hastily eat a few bites from the styrofoam to-go containers rather than enjoy them as intended. Given the $160 price point, the experience fell well short of expectations, making it difficult to recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I got a pizza (the Arugula) and unfortunately I feel as though I ordered wrong (which was my own fault), I didn't really care for it. The food will be very familiar from the perspective that everything we had was excellent. We started with calamari, and to our surprise there were also a small group of onion straws on the plate. We then moved on to the Napoli salad, it is as described on the menu...crisp, and appropriately dressed. Then we had the special pizza of the evening, it was a black garlic base (not strong) with mushrooms and burrata on top - delicious. We also happen to be sitting next to the area with the pizza oven - a must see if you are there. We did sit inside, but outdoor seating was available. What might not be so familiar, but I thought was great, was a more casual atmosphere, and decor, I would classify is as upscale casual. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and I will be back!

I showed him the glass and he apologized and said he'd be back after putting in the order. In just a couple minutes he returned with a new glass, new bottle of beer and another apology. I've had similar issues at other facilities but he handled it better, and more professionally than any of them. I did think the manager could have stopped by, not looking for a free drink just to say we're sorry... my date and I both had their version of the choose two section. She had loaded baked potato and said it was great, and she got the chicken breast sandwich which she said was very good. To drink she had a margarita, no salt, and said it was good. For dinner, we had the filet mignon with potatoes and green beans as well as the creamy Cajun pasta. The filet was overcooked, but had really good flavor, the green beans with bacon were lackluster. The Cajun pasta was quite tasty, but it really lacked protein (only a few slices of a sausage and a few shrimp). We had the salted caramel bread pudding for dessert, it was good, but I probably wouldn't get it again. Overall, the experience was okay, food was good enough. Otherwise, this would have been a one-star review. I have a friend that I don't get to see very often, and we like to get together for dinner occasionally. We've tried a few places, but they just didn't grab us enough to make any of them our new meeting place. We tried The Old Spaghetti Factory a few months ago, and we liked it so much that we both felt we had finally found a place we liked well enough to make it our new spot. Then we came back. In the few months since we were last there, they've drastically changed how they operate. Now, you are REQUIRED to purchase a three-course meal, whether you want one or not. ALL entrees come with a mandatory salad and a mandatory scoop of ice cream for dessert, neither of which I had the slightest interest in. Too bad. It's required. I never touched my salad, and when it came time for ice cream, I just asked our waiter not to bring it. I wasn't going to eat it, and it would have been wasted, just like the salad. I don't mind the concept of a three-course meal, because maybe some people want that. I'm just not one of them. I don't like being told what I have to order, whether I want it or not. Our bartender, whose name I fail to remember, was excellent. She had great beer recommendations. We tried the Hefe Weissbier (my favorite, which paired perfectly with both appetizers), the Meteor Pils, and the Gaffel Kolsch. I'd recommend all of them if you're a beer drinker! The spinach dumplings are a must. They are bursting with spinach flavor and swimming in a rich brown butter sauce. We also tried the alpine dip, which comes with an enormous soft pretzel. It was okay, but the dip wasn't exactly what we were expecting. I'd probably pass on the alpine dip next time. Overall an amazing experience and I look forward to enjoying a full meal there next visit. Be advised that they pride themselves on seasonal menus so if you're eyeing a menu item, get yourself there to try it before it's gone!
