Another hidden gem! I was able to get a seat on the patio. The outdoor area is cozy and a perfect spot to spend an evening. Stevie was my server that night and she provided friendly top notch service. I ordered a spicy margarita for my cocktail. I was a little disappointed with the drink. It was very cucumber forward, had a nice heat, but lacked that signature lime flavor and tartness required of a good margarita. The brussel sprouts and cheese grits were a must try for me. The pork chop was the perfect entree to accompany these sides. The brussel sprouts were charred and crispy. The balsamic glaze paired nicely with the charred flavor. The pork chop is served in a very generous portion juicy and tender. The citrus sauce paired nicely with the pork. The cheese grits were creamy and delicious. All in all a delightful meal. The portions were generous enough for me to have hearty meal of leftovers the next day. The menu is fairly concise with burgers, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, beer/pork/chicken entrees, and salads. They have something for just about everyone. The appetizer menu offers loaded brussel sprouts with bacon balsamic and feta. This would have been too much to tackle by myself. Firefly was a fairly decent place, easy location to find in Chesterfield with plenty of parking available. The restaurant is a bit loud, but we didn't mind it, it was a busy Saturday night. Bar service was great, table service was lacking. We started with a few drinks (margaritas) and they were quite good. For an app, we got the wings with firefly sauce, the sauce was really good and the wings were cooked perfect. For dinner, we had the filet mignon with potatoes and green beans as well as the creamy Cajun pasta. The filet was overcooked, but had really good flavor, the green beans with bacon were lackluster. The Cajun pasta was quite tasty, but it really lacked protein (only a few slices of a sausage and a few shrimp). We had the salted caramel bread pudding for dessert, it was good, but I probably wouldn't get it again. Overall, the experience was okay, food was good enough. Went here to meet a lady for dinner on Friday night, she had suggested the location but I had not been here before. Our server was awesome, the meals were great, I'll start with the server, he brought us a couple of drinks and left us to look over the menu. I filled my glass with a bottle of beer and noticed the glass was chipped along the rim. The place was hopping so I didn't get to catch him until he took our food order. I showed him the glass and he apologized and said he'd be back after putting in the order. In just a couple minutes he returned with a new glass, new bottle of beer and another apology. I've had similar issues at other facilities but he handled it better, and more professionally than any of them. I did think the manager could have stopped by, not looking for a free drink just to say we're sorry... my date and I both had their version of the choose two section. She had loaded baked potato and said it was great, and she got the chicken breast sandwich which she said was very good. To drink she had a margarita, no salt, and said it was good. I had the wedge salad and it was so large I couldn't even try my sandwich. I did eat it at home and the salmon blt was very good. I recommend this place and while we lucked out hitting a busy place on a Friday night without reservations, my date beat me there and got seated when a table opened up. The host took me to the table the moment I said I was meeting a lady there. Parking can be tuff, my date parked several rows away from the entry and if it had been raining that would have been a pain. I believe the location is the old Wild Horse Creek Pub on Long road. I dressed in casual jeans and a dress shirt and I hit between the families with kids and older couples out for a dressed up dinner. It is SO good and was a good amount for 3 people to share as an app. The Firefly Pizza was my main dish and was such a fresh take on flavor combinations on a pizza. Fantastic find, in Chesterfield! I'm so glad I checked out this place, after looking on Yelp as I always do...I've driven through Chesterfield SO many times, on my way to visit my Wife's Family outside of Cape Girardeau, and never really searched to see what's available. This Grill was fantastic, and I Highly recommend their Pork Chop entree...very good! I apologize, though, I would have had pictures of my dish and my Wifey's salmon dish she ordered, but man we were so hungry after a show at the Fox Theater in St.Louis, that we Crushed our meal quickly...not a peep of table talk! The wings were delicious, but the Brussel sprouts were something like I have never tasted before. They were sweet, crunch and bursting with flavor!!!! My wife enjoyed the chicken sandwiches. It was couples night, and a first visit to Firefly for me. Kyle was fabulous in every way, thank you Kyle! We got their spicy queso and chips--honestly I think it is the best I've ever had. The chips seem like a thin version of pita chips and they were delectable! The queso was perfect consistency and heat. I spoiled my appetite by eating too much of it all lol. My entree was the wedge salad with added grilled chicken. Their small size was dinner sized imo; it was very good however the chicken was a little dry. This is a lovely place. They have a great patio area outside to eat at. Period for lunch. They have some combinations that you can get where you pick two things for $17. I opted for that and selected the firefly salad with a half of a chopped cheese sandwich. The salad was a typical salad served with egg, cucumbers, cheddar cheese, and croutons. The sandwich was braised, beef, caramelized, shallots, pimento cheese on a sourdough bread. They basically took all of the ingredients and mixed it all together and spread it on the bread. It was different, good, but it felt like it was lacking something maybe it needed some lettuce or something on it. Anyhow, was happy I tried it. Host took down my phone number so we took ourselves to the side to wait. Not much space for waiting though unless you go outside. My husband and I went here based on the reviews and how others had mentioned they handled food allergies. Our server was fantastic, took down all of my allergies and verified them before leaving the table. Unfortunately, the kitchen had left a whole piece of what I was allergic to underneath my fries/ sandwich which I didn't see until I had already eaten part of my meal. Our waiter was Logan and he was so sweet! Great service, he checked in on us several times. The food was delicious. I had the small Greek salad with chicken the chicken was perfectly grilled, juicy and warm, the lettuce was fresh and had a good amount of Kalmata olives, and feta . Went to Firefly for family dinner! We had 11 people and our waitress was amazing. She was efficient and very accommodating. At one point, she even ran to grab the last glass of champagne for one of our guests before they ran out! We started with appetizers; the loaded fries had great flavor with the aioli and garlic Parmesan and then, we also had the traditional St Louis style toasted cannelloni bites which were good, but nothing that stood out from a standard toasted ravioli. I loved the chopped cheese sandwich! Although, I could've gotten the pick any 2 rather than the full entree size. The Mac n cheese side was super good with a nice creamy texture - I would definitely recommend trying this fan favorite! The restaurant had a welcoming farmhouse vibe and was pretty full! I would also recommend making a reservation for a large party like ours to ensure getting seated without a wait. Firefly Grill gets its right. This is the third year in a row our hockey team has done a team lunch here and each year they deliver great food and service. Firefly is conveniently located about 5 min south from the Maryville Hockey rink and if you call ahead (I give them a few days notice) they can be set up and ready for your team. They have a separate room so kids can be kids and you can relax a bit more that the kids aren't annoying other patrons. The room has TVs and is very close to their large bar. Food wise- you can't go wrong with anything. We love their wings, their soups, sandwiches and pizzas. read more
