Went here to meet a lady for dinner on Friday night, she had suggested the location but I had not been here before. Our server was awesome, the meals were great, I'll start with the server, he brought us a couple of drinks and left us to look over the menu. I filled my glass with a bottle of beer and noticed the glass was chipped along the rim. The place was hopping so I didn't get to catch him until he took our food order. I showed him the glass and he apologized and said he'd be back after putting in the order. In just a couple minutes he returned with a new glass, new bottle of beer and another apology. I've had similar issues at other facilities but he handled it better, and more professionally than any of them. I did think the manager could have stopped by, not looking for a free drink just to say we're sorry... my date and I both had their version of the choose two section. She had loaded baked potato and said it was great, and she got the chicken breast sandwich which she said was very good. To drink she had a margarita, no salt, and said it was good. I had the wedge salad and it was so large I couldn't even try my sandwich. I did eat it at home and the salmon blt was very good. I recommend this place and while we lucked out hitting a busy place on a Friday night without reservations, my date beat me there and got seated when a table opened up. The host took me to the table the moment I said I was meeting a lady there. Parking can be tuff, my date parked several rows away from the entry and if it had been raining that would have been a pain. I believe the location is the old Wild Horse Creek Pub on Long road. I dressed in casual jeans and a dress shirt and I hit between the families with kids and older couples out for a dressed up dinner. Firefly was a fairly decent place, easy location to find in Chesterfield with plenty of parking available. The restaurant is a bit loud, but we didn't mind it, it was a busy Saturday night. Bar service was great, table service was lacking. We started with a few drinks (margaritas) and they were quite good. For an app, we got the wings with firefly sauce, the sauce was really good and the wings were cooked perfect. For dinner, we had the filet mignon with potatoes and green beans as well as the creamy Cajun pasta. The filet was overcooked, but had really good flavor, the green beans with bacon were lackluster. The Cajun pasta was quite tasty, but it really lacked protein (only a few slices of a sausage and a few shrimp). We had the salted caramel bread pudding for dessert, it was good, but I probably wouldn't get it again. Overall, the experience was okay, food was good enough. Worth a try if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. read more

Fantastic find, in Chesterfield! I'm so glad I checked out this place, after looking on Yelp as I always do...I've driven through Chesterfield SO many times, on my way to visit my Wife's Family outside of Cape Girardeau, and never really searched to see what's available. This Grill was fantastic, and I Highly recommend their Pork Chop entree...very good! I apologize, though, I would have had pictures of my dish and my Wifey's salmon dish she ordered, but man we were so hungry after a show at the Fox Theater in St.Louis, that we Crushed our meal quickly...not a peep of table talk! I do feel bad, though, cause I ALWAYS look at people's pictures of the food, to help decide what I want!‍ Anyway, don't sleep on this place...everything on the menu is solid, the service is great, and the drinks are on point too. It is SO good and was a good amount for 3 people to share as an app. The Firefly Pizza was my main dish and was such a fresh take on flavor combinations on a pizza. My hubby an I had a free afternoon so ventured out to do some errands and then searched for a place nearby and Firefly Grill popped up in our radar. We stopped in at 3ish and were pleasantly greeted by the host. Our server, Natalia, stopped by and our experience was great. It was couples night, and a first visit to Firefly for me. Kyle was fabulous in every way, thank you Kyle! We got their spicy queso and chips--honestly I think it is the best I've ever had. The chips seem like a thin version of pita chips and they were delectable! The queso was perfect consistency and heat. I spoiled my appetite by eating too much of it all lol. My entree was the wedge salad with added grilled chicken. Their small size was dinner sized imo; it was very good however the chicken was a little dry. I went with a friend for lunch and i got a chicken club and she got a chicken philly sandwich. Both were very good and we both took half home with us as there was plenty. She also got their couscous since not many place offer that as a side and said it was very good. The perfect date night dinner spot. The entrees range between $15 for a sandwich to $44 for the filet. The service was fast and friendly. This is a lovely place. They have a great patio area outside to eat at. Period for lunch. They have some combinations that you can get where you pick two things for $17. I opted for that and selected the firefly salad with a half of a chopped cheese sandwich. The salad was a typical salad served with egg, cucumbers, cheddar cheese, and croutons. The sandwich was braised, beef, caramelized, shallots, pimento cheese on a sourdough bread. They basically took all of the ingredients and mixed it all together and spread it on the bread. It was different, good, but it felt like it was lacking something maybe it needed some lettuce or something on it. Anyhow, was happy I tried it. Nice casual place, a little loud but that's a personal preference. I made reservations, we got there on time and was told we had to wait. Host took down my phone number so we took ourselves to the side to wait. Not much space for waiting though unless you go outside. Then we started our dinner with some spinach artichoke dip served with carrots, celery, pieces of toasted breads and some chips. Flavors were good but it didn't contain much artichoke. I had the small Greek salad with chicken the chicken was perfectly grilled, juicy and warm, the lettuce was fresh and had a good amount of Kalmata olives, and feta . I'm not a fan of tomatoes or lettuce but I did have the pickles. Acidic cut long and about 3/16s thick delicious The carmalized shallots were an intresting pick. They were good but bunched up on a half of my burger making the texture a bit off but I still finished it. Fries crispy and salty. Went to Firefly for family dinner! We had 11 people and our waitress was amazing. She was efficient and very accommodating. At one point, she even ran to grab the last glass of champagne for one of our guests before they ran out! We started with appetizers; the loaded fries had great flavor with the aioli and garlic Parmesan and then, we also had the traditional St Louis style toasted cannelloni bites which were good, but nothing that stood out from a standard toasted ravioli. I loved the chopped cheese sandwich! Although, I could've gotten the pick any 2 rather than the full entree size. The Mac n cheese side was super good with a nice creamy texture - I would definitely recommend trying this fan favorite! The restaurant had a welcoming farmhouse vibe and was pretty full! I would also recommend making a reservation for a large party like ours to ensure getting seated without a wait. Done just right with the crispy edges and the buttery brioche bun. I even ate the bun! My partner had the Greek salad with grilled chicken and it looked and tasted fantastic. Service was super solid. Kids menu was a little pricey. But good food, enough to bring home a container for later meals! Not so with the adult food, it was too good to not demolish the plate! We will return! read more

Firefly Grill gets its right. This is the third year in a row our hockey team has done a team lunch here and each year they deliver great food and service. Firefly is conveniently located about 5 min south from the Maryville Hockey rink and if you call ahead (I give them a few days notice) they can be set up and ready for your team. They have a separate room so kids can be kids and you can relax a bit more that the kids aren't annoying other patrons. The room has TVs and is very close to their large bar. It was my first time going to firefly Grill. My daughter and fiancé had been there before and really enjoyed it and told me I must go. Fast-forward a month later or so my cousin had booked a nice little get together there. We had a nice little banquet set up for wings and bruschetta. I am a sucker for wings and must say the firefly grill wings are superb. From the boneless to the firefly sauce to the dry, they're all good. Needless to say, I filled up on wings. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. They took time to take photos of our party and even move tables out of the way to get the best picture. We came here during the middle of the day so we got sat very quickly and our food pretty fast! Our server was attentive and when there was an issue with my mom's drink the bar tender came right up to us and talked about it. My mom said this burger was the best burger she ever had and the food tasted amazing! Everything was seasoned and their special sauce was really good! The only problem we had came with the pizza my parents said the dough was plain and very doughy, my brother didn't have that issue but he did think there was too much meat and the toppings keep falling off the pizza.
