Girlfriend was very interested in the tacos, so we opt for a trio of their spicy tacos. Service was quick and we found a seat to dig in. Overall, the chicken was tasty but the rest was okay. The sauce was kind of like franks red hot but a bit tangier but a little milder. It's a solid sauce, but I usually prefer a little more heat. The taco shells were generic, out of a bag tortillas. Nothing special of note there, just plain flour tortillas. they didn't bulk out the tacos with lots of extra slaw, but the chicken portion was very small for the size of tortilla they used. In the future, they should look at street taco tortillas. they're a bit smaller, but would make the chicken look like a significantly larger portion. Then if they use a seasoned crispy batter then dunk the tenders in the sauce then it would be a very awesome bite. for what we got, it was good but not great. They need to make little tweaks to get them to great, but it's easy enough to do. I hope to see some quality improvements going forward, but for now they are a solid choice if you're in the mood for unhealthy chicken.

Mainly because our side of the family has a lot of food allergies especially my wife and kids. My sister reassured me that the vendor they booked takes these things seriously and curates a menu that offers many options especially with people with diet restrictions. The food was amazing. No complaints. My wife was more than happy and she even went up for seconds. They even offered special kids meals for my son and daughter. My kids ate all their food to the point where they ended up falling asleep right in time for the dancing to start. Allowing my wife and I a moment to step on to the dance floor for a nice couples dance. The staff was also incredibly friendly and attentive. They even had this guy walking around in a hot dog costume handing out hotdogs at the end of the night. It was awesome and hilarious. It's an old truck, that has been refurbished, has a cool history and has been in business as a red hot dog truck for over 50 years. Maggie's has hot dogs, kielbasa and chili. They also have drinks, chips and cookies. Maggie's uses Mucke's natural casing dogs, which is definitely not something that most CT places use. Maggie's does not have any specialty hot dogs per se, but they do have their own chili and some other standard toppings to choose from. I ordered a hot dog with chili and mustard. I haven't had a Mucke's in a while. It seemed like it was probably steamed. Good flavor. Good snap. The chili sauce was meaty and tasty. Definitely above average for CT. The mustard was good too. I would definitely recommend Maggie's if you're in the area and want a hot dog or chili to go. 4.5 Stars

Robert "Red" McCormick later rescued and restored it, and it's been serving hot dogs for more than fifty years now. At this point it's basically a local icon for those who know, and can be found over on East River Drive in East Hartford. The menu is simple--hot dogs, kielbasa, chili, drinks, chips, cookies--and that's exactly the right call for a place like this. I had two hot dogs and both were great. Quick service, good flavor, and they were wrapped well enough that I had zero concerns about anything spilling on the way back to the office. Overall, a fun, straightforward lunch stop with good food, and fun character and history. If you appreciate old-school spots that keep things simple, this one's worth a visit.

Waitress was rude and inexperienced. Should have offered to comp something to make up for the aggravation. Restaurant is too loud and tables too close together. Save your money and time and go somewhere else.
