I ordered "The Special" which had a couple of Parmesan choices and soup or salad. I ordered the chicken Parmesan which came with a salad and Italian bread. The salad had iceberg lettuce, onion and tomatoes and a red wine vinegar and olive oil dressing. The bread was absolutely wonderful - size of a hoagie and really soft except for a light crispy layer and it came with butter. The Chicken Parmesan was really hot and had spaghetti in red sauce cooked with Parmesan chicken and mozzarella cheese on top. Special was only &9.95 for dinner.

Queen Pizza did not disappoint! Which makes them a gem especially during these trying times that we're all facing. They've remained open this whole time during COVID-19 & have accommodated a curbside area for pickup. The overall pickup was a little long due to the line of multiple cars but hey what can you expect when the food is that good. I regret the years I've always just driven by and never stopped but since then I would surely recommend them. Everything I've tried whether dining in or take out has been very good and reasonably priced. The other plus the staff is polite, attentive and give timely service.

Came here to kill some time. Was happy to find a spot on this road that serves alcohol and some pretty basic but fulfilling appetizers. Mozzarella sticks were just what we needed. Definitely a family joint with regular clientele. I'd come back to try the great-smelling pizza.

I have been driving by this pizza restaurant for at least 15 years & never gave it a thought...one day I was enjoying the most delicious pizza asked where it was from QUEEN PIZZA. I had to get on my next Pizza run. Well I got a small cheese (because that's all my boyfriend likes...I know weird right?!). It was delish! I was surprised at how good it was even though it was just cheese. It wasn't oily & had the right amount of cheese. I tried the eggplant fries based on a couple reviews I saw. You will NOT be disappointed! Try the eggplant fries, you won't regret it!

Hands down the best tomato sauce I've had... Ever? Every pizza place in town or out that I try I compare to this sauce. Its got a somewhat sweet taste to it. Ordered delivery today just a cheese pizza, $16 after tip of $2. $14 is to me expensive for a cheese pizza. I'm that guy that has pizza once to twice per week and am used to paying more so like $11 for a large cheese at the most. So price is out there. Delivery took 45 minutes to get here... And we are literally right around the corner.. As in one block... Driver seemed miserable. Basically threw the pizza at me before he even handed me the slip to sign. Didn't say a word. Not "how are you". Not "sign this PLEASE", not "thank you"... Nothing As for the pizza... Perfectly cooked REAL cheese.. Crispy darkened gooey cheese. That delicious sauce I was yapping about earlier.. And then the crust.. Soft and doughy towards middle. And crispy non burnt crusts . Not greasy at all. Over all .. As per usual delicious food. Be sure if you order also get the mozz sticks. Didn't get them this time but normally do since we get to dip them in the delicious sauce.. Cool thing is they also have homebaked goods normally like chocolate chip cookies and brownies.

They had just gotten new kiosk ordering so they were learning the system and helping us at the same time . Not a huge place or anything fancy but they make up for it with the food ! THE BEST waffles I've ever had -hands down! So fluffy , flavorful and covered in powered sugar . Chicken tenders were seasoned really well and not fried hard . Loved that it was not processed fake chicken . Again , nothing fancy but the food is the star there !

Apparently the most popular item are their tenders and I will agree! It's delicious! The 10-pc tenders are decently sized for $16.99. As soon as I walk-in, I am greeted with a beautiful smile and a friendly host! I also got the waffle fries and Mac and cheese with this order okay a Strawberry milkshake that looks very appetizing! The chicken is peppery and crunchy. The waffle fries are also well seasoned. I can't wait to try the Mac and cheese when I get home! They have an assortment of sauces with varying heat. Will you play it safe or you will you take the risk and sweat it! The business is clean and well kept. The colors are vibrant and very inviting. They have a good view of Main Street too!

I'm back! The restaurant is located on 389 Main St. in East Hartford, CT. It's been a few months…read moresince I was last here (December) which is a crime. Carmine's is a fresh from scratch kitchen that is ALWAYS open. Their appetizers, pastas, entrees and desserts combine old-world traditional Italian flavor with a modern flair for presentation, and the freshest ingredients around. Menu staples like rigatoni bolognese, fettuccine carbonara and chicken Milanese are coupled with unique recipes like chicken ala vodka and toasted almond cake. They've staffed the kitchen with a dream team of chefs and you can tell instantly! They also do parties, catering and online ordering/delivery. The restaurant is well known for its live music. There is never a cover and parking is always free. This place and produces absolutely amazing food and drinks. I have noticed quite a few menu changes. The Happy Hour menu has expanded. It's also no longer all day Monday. The main menu no longer has prices on featured drinks (although that's the tre d these days). Note that the Bar Bites menu is available open to close! The Main Menu looks the same although there is a new Wine List (that's a first here). The music is very pleasant and the right volume level. It's always a big cool in here too. For my first drink, I'm having a Pratt N Whiskey. This is made with Woodford Reserve Bourbon, sweet vermouth, red wine and sour mix. It's definitely an unusual drink. It's not garnished, but it tastes great. The wine sticks out for sure. It's clearly a shaken drink not often found with a whiskey component except for maybe Whiskey Sours. For my first item, I'm having the House Salad made with spring mix, basil, tomatoes, julienned (thinly sliced) carrots, cucumbers and house red wine vinaigrette dressing. This is a big portion! I love this dressing! This tastes great! For my next item, I'm trying the Carmine's Secret Tenderloins. These are off of Carmine's "Secret Menu." They are pan seared, caramelized chicken tenderloins, made with wine, olive oil, cracked black pepper (dried black peppercorns broken into coarse, uneven pieces), kosher salt (a coarse, flaky salt named for its use in the Jewish koshering process of drawing blood from meat), shredded Parmesan and a very special "secret sauce." I'm curious as to what this sauce tastes like. Wow! Nice presentation! These are good! I love that sauce! There's a good crowd in here (20 people). Only one worker (bartender and server). She's damn good at what she does! For my next drink, I'm having a Connecticut Cosmo. This is made with Litchfield Vodka, Wild Moon Cranberry, Triple Sec and lime juice. This vodka is the Gold Medal Winner 2018 & 2019 at the New York International Spirits Competition. Silver Medal Winner at the 2017 San Francisco World Spirits Competition! Our Gluten-Free Batchers' Vodka is distilled from luscious corn grown during the beautiful summer months in Somers, CT. We distill 4 ¾ times and use a gravity-fed charcoal filter that takes 12 hours to filter 100 gallons. The longer the vodka sits on the charcoal, the more impurities are removed, which creates an incredibly smooth taste. Bottled at 80 proof. It is impeccably clean, slightly sweet, velvety smooth mouthfeel and sweet buttery overtones. It's smooth with a warm finish with subtle notes of sweet ripe corn at the end. I actually sat down next to the owner of the Distillery at a wine pairing dinner at Flemings in West Hartford about 7-8 years ago. This looks nice! Wow! This has great flavor! For my next item, I'm having the Rigatoni Matinara. Rigatoni is a large, tube-shaped pasta with ridges on the outside and straight-cut ends. Marinara sauce is a tomato sauce usually made with tomatoes, garlic, herbs, and onions. I don't eat pasta all that often. This will serve as my appetizer before I hit the main course. This is a BIG portion! It is very good! For my entree I'm having the Pan Seared Salmon which is "hand cut" salmon with zesty orange glaze served over mashed potatoes with seasonal vegetables (broccoli). Add LOTS of crushed red pepper. Nod that's "LOTS." This is spicy! My kinda spicy! The plate is nice and hot! I like the presentation. This tastes great! What a great meal here!

I can't believe we were charged for bread - twice! We got a small half of a loaf (not even as big…read moreas a half grinder roll) and asked for more. Never have I ever paid for bread in a restaurant and we were asked if we wanted bread - no mention of we had to pay extra for it. Side salads are an extra charge too. If you get a chicken meal expect it to have a very charred taste to it. We found the food to be middle of the road and not very big portions considering we usually take food home from other places. There was a birthday party going on in the restaurant, not in a separate room. Not that it bothered us, but it was extremely loud in there and it seemed to bother the table next to us. Don't expect a quiet dinner in this place. Getting the attention of the waitress was impossible. I had to stand at the bar and wait to pay our bill. The party had the entrance blocked because they were filming and we had to exit through a side entrance, which didn't bother us, but not the best from a safety point of view. Do we recommend the place - no. Will we go back - no.

Good fresh sandwiches, little pricy…read more Came here because the good burger place was full up. Opted to get a quick sandwich for the road instead. The place is small, and the staff were very much in work mode. Not very friendly but efficient. I ordered the Italian combo and the girlfriend got a custom made. The staff got the sandwiches made quickly and I was back in the car in no time. It's a good sub, but not a 14 dollar sub. There's a decent amount of meat and it was fresh. But the upcharge for the grinder roll and the portion was pricy for what I got. Would've liked to see some more veggies on the roll to bulk it out. Or some spreads to amp the flavor up. It's a good stop for a basic sandwich. But it's not as good as some other places I've been to in that area. It works for what it is

We politely asked the staff member to lower the volume, and she did. Our sandwiches arrived, but as soon as two other customers left, Bad Bunny came on full blast again. We asked her to lower the volume once more, as it felt more like a nightclub than a sandwich shop. Eventually, we decided to leave, said our goodbyes, and went next door to the cigar shop, where we could still hear the loud music thumping through the walls. Honestly, it was pretty obnoxious. As for the sandwiches.... Average

The only bad thing about this place is that it's not open later!…read more I went here one time with some coworkers when we were on a break for lunch in the area, and I think about it often! Everything here is fantastic, but my recommendation is the three squared. The cutlet is fantastic and the mix of the red peppers with the arugula and cheese is delicious! It just hits the spot.

I've driven by the Cove Deli a quadrillion times and never even noticed it. Around 8:30 am, I used…read morethe "open now" filter and then Yelp-searched restaurants for my "current location". Cove Deli was the only place that I hadn't already tried that I would try. Selection made. Cove Deli is located in what could be a charming grey multi-level residence towards the far north side of the Silas Deane in Wethersfield. It's sign is grey/blue and looks like it would be obscured by the shade for some of the day. Guess that's why I never noticed. They serve things such as breakfast sandwiches, coffee, burgers, salads, lunch sandwiches and prepared meals for home consumption. The inside was well-cared for and decorated in a manner fitting the nice exterior of the building. I would be comfortable eating there, although I'm still mostly in takeout mode. I ordered something I usually only order in Manhattan - an everything bagel with lox, red onion, tomato, capers and cream cheese. Cove Deli promptly answered my call, and my order, which Cove Deli calls "Lox on a Bagel", was ready when I arrived about 10 minutes later. Service was friendly. The "Lox on a Bagel" was decent, but is a couple of steps down from the best New York places that I've tried. The ingredients were all fine, but there were no real standouts. I would definitely return to try something different at the Cove Deli, but I prefer other places in the area for bagels. Three Stars
