I happened to visit Ellington Pizza when a friend suggested to meet here for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised and glad we found this place. We had pizza for dinner and they make some delicious pizza. A small pizza was good for two people to share. The crust was very well done, lite and not overly doughy. They also offer beer and selected variety of wine as a part of their menu. They have a nice and friendly group of staff as well. I will definitely come back here and try more items off their menu.

This is the lunch (weekdays till 3.30 I think) portion. Very good. The Chicken Marsala excellent also. Worth stopping in.

We have been long time customers of Ellington Pizza until today. In this time of Covid-19, my husband and I have been very careful when going out in public since we are in our 60s. We ordered pizza tonight and when we picked it up we saw there was a sign on the door requiring customers to wear masks. I was. However when I got inside, nobody working there was masked. We decided not to accept the pizza. When I asked where their masks were, she pointed to the mask on the counter. She was very rude and we will never go back.

Sign on the door says "Please have a face mask on or your face covered before entering! Thanks"

Great entrees, bad appetizers…read more Little marks is our stop for a quick casual bite around Vernon. Enjoy the smoked meats, sides are okay, but the quality is usually really good. My review this time is highlighting my biggest gripe. We got a half-rack of ribs, Santa Fe egg rolls, and a meatloaf sandwich. For 16 bucks, we get two egg rolls put on a giant plate with arugula put on the bottom to try and disguise the shame. This isn't the first time we've had issues with the portion size of an appetizer at this location either. I know appetizers are not entrees, I know that some things take more time to craft and prepare. If the portion is going to be small and expensive, use smaller plates, make sure the flavor is strong, and make them thick. Even if they gave us 3 and put them in a fry basket would've been a better showing than an awkward attempt of an egg roll salad In contrast, for 18 bucks I get this beautifully smoked meatloaf sandwich with a slew of caramelized onions and a perfectly placed breaded mozzarella to give that epic cheese pull. Along with sweet potato fries and Cole slaw and a pickle. We complained about the egg rolls and got them removed from the bill, so my review score doesn't reflect them. The entrees are stellar, the sides are afterthoughts, and the price is appropriate for the quality. They need better attention to detail on their sides to make them that truly epic bbq spot, and if they do that they can be one of the greats. But I'm using this review to hopefully pass on some knowledge to those planning to swing by. Stick to the entrees and you'll have a great experience. Stray from the mains, and your experience can vary.

Yes, they offer the very best of your favorite restaurant classics, but they also add high-end, high-quality options that you cannot find anywhere else in the area. They do weekly specials (check their Instagram or call!) that always blow my mind. I literally stalk their social media each week waiting for their new options! A stop on the way back to UCONN when I was a student there. The "go to" place after our kids' school events. Shortly after we moved to Manchester, over 38 years ago, the restaurant was closed for renovations. We were looking forward to seeing the revamped restaurant. Well, we were even more surprised when we stepped in the door - nothing had changed! Cleaner, perhaps new Naugahyde on the seats, but that mural on the wall was the same - those elves were timeless. When you sit down, you get a small paper cup of water. The menus are on the the wall - soups, sandwiches & ice cream. I'd always heard they had a patent on the way their cheeseburgers were made - a burger topped with crispy cheese. A must have. Prior to Covid, the condiments tray had ketchup, mustard & chopped onions. Now, there are packets of the condiments. No onions though. We shared an order of fries - crispy & good. I was too full to have ice cream after our meal, so we brought a half gallon (yes - a real half gallon) of our favorite flavor home - chocolate almond joy. Yum! Note - you need cash. No cards. There is an ATM in the restaurant.

Since it's a popular choice, expect crowds til late afternoon for lunch. I didn't notice their breakfast menu among those posted on the walls, but apparently it is served til 11am. As for lunch, the cole slaw is surprisingly superior to most if not all other diners/cafes. Though prices have increased with inflation, still a great value and more competitive than many other comparable places in the state. Furthermore, the consistent taste and nostalgic ambiance are all still intact. Main offerings are between-bread - i.e., sandwiches, so limited options if you have dietary restrictions like having to eat gluten-free (soups contain gluten; I didn't ask if any of the platters could be made GF though), but their iconic fried cheese is still available as an a la carte side. Ice cream flavors include seasonal highlights like pumpkin chocolate chip, and their shakes are generous and delicious. I recommend asking what additional flavors they have available that are not listed on the wall menu. If there are kids in your party, be sure to look out for the table placard with the Children's Menu; the kids in our group enjoyed the chicken platter which included fries, a drink, and 2 substantial breaded chicken fillets.

Came here on short notice with a large group from work and quickly got a private room assigned (nice!) With a really nice dedicated waitress. She was the best part of the experience always there and making sure the team was taken care of. Ambiance was nice as well, nice wooden tables, rustic modern vibe, definitely got the upscale bar vibe going. Pricing isn't too bad, drinks are reasonable and food prices reflect an upscale bar atmosphere. A few issues though, minor and major - parking is a pain, good if they're busy but parking lot not big enough and the area isn't conducive to street parking. Never a fan of stressing about parking. Bigger issue is the food quality is very mediocre. Chicken tenders looked worse and cost more than raising canes (and weren't crispy nor full of chicken). Nachos lacked enough topping - it was like 80% chips... you can't skimp on the cheese... or the meat. Fries weren't that crispy... wings were decent but definitely not enough blue cheese for a double order (should have brought 2 or 3, not just 1). Would like to come back here if the food can match the rest of the venue.

Just myself and a couple other patrons at far sides of the place. Bartender was playing waitress as well. Very nice but very casual. Opted for their fruit juice mocktail and the jammin burger with loaded fries. Food and drink came out quick, so I took my pics and dug in. The mocktail was pretty much orange and pineapple juice with a fruit garnish. It was fine for what you got, and the price was reasonable at 4 bucks. Nothing special, but something to sip on if you're with company. The burger was executed flawlessly. Cooked well, not seasoned but done so with intention. The buttered bun and jam were salty to begin with, so they chose to unseason the burger, relying on the condiments to balance the dish out. The chef has skill, and you can tell it by their preparation. The trouble was the quality of the ingredients. The burger is straight ground meat, pressed to a patty and frozen. The chef did what they could to gussy up the burger, but was working with ingredients they could not control. When they had control in the ingredients and preparation, they put in care. The actual burger patty was very much the biggest detriment to the dish. The fries were good, cheap cheese and bagged fries but ample amounts of toppings and cooked perfectly. Good, but there's evidence that there could be something better. As a chain location tied to a bowling alley, it's perfectly fine pub bites. The servers are nice, but I feel that the chef is constrained. If given the opportunity, the chef could produce some magic on the plates. but they are stuck to the playbook, the source ingredients and the margins they need to stay in. That cheapens the food to cookie cutter molds and is a crying shame. The foods acceptable, the staff is good, and the venue is clean. One day I hope they can shed the chain and let the chef take the wheel. till then though, it's okay
