Breakfast Burrito

What a great find! Was in White Center meeting up with a friend after a walk in Lincoln Park & we decided to try Patrick's. Small bungalow turned into a restaurant. Cute vibes with butter art, plants and cozy home feel. Seating is small scale (3x4 tops and 3x2 tops). You can order at the counter and find a seat. Coffee and water are self serve. Friendly and customer focused staff, daily specials and a pastry display so welcoming you want to try everything! Friend ordered the biscuits and gravy with a pineapple scone. I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon. Both of us loved the food and agreed that the portions were enough for two meals. We also both agreed we would like to come back to try other menu items or more of the pastries.

Unko Patrick does it again! Stopped by to grab some quick eats and left with a HAUL. Unko also didn't let me leave without musubi and juice sheeeesh. The portugee bean soup was GAS, certified bangah. Everything fire over here

Went to Patrick's Café about 1 PM. There's a lot of street parking nearby. There's also indoor and outdoor seating. The servers were very friendly and it wasn't too busy when I went. The food came out promptly. I ordered the moco Loco, I like the char on the patty. It came with a lot of rice and gravy, and also some grilled onions. The inside of the restaurant is clean and has a lot of cute merch, snacks and baked goods . Planning to come back to get some cinnamon rolls.

If there was ever an award for the cutest mom and pop Hawaiian fusion spot it's Patrick's Cafe. We stumbled upon Patrick's Cafe and Bakery and now it's a favorite top spot. It's a small house and offers local Hawaiian food from coconut cake, loco moco and Mac salad. We decided to order the Kuala Pork (we normally stay away from pork) however the lady was saying it was a favorite and we couldn't say no. It was with cabbage and rice and a side of Mac salad. I will be dreaming about the Mac salad. We weren't able to try the bakery portion but I can 100 percent guarantee we will be back! Thanks Patrick's Cafe for the homey warm welcoming and amazing service.

Turkey croissant sandwich

I can always count on Patrick to make me the food I need, whether it's egg foo young, Portuguese sausage, eggs, and rice, or a fresh turkey croissant sandwich for lunch. Where else can you find a fresh pineapple scone? Everything is delicious. The turkey in this sandwich is sliced thick with tomato and romaine lettuce. It came with chips. Service is fantastic and kind. I always tell people that Patrick's food is better than his brother's because you can taste the love and aloha.

Chicken long rice

This place is super homey and cooks up some great food. We ordered the chicken long rice and fried rice with egg on top. Everything was super flavorful and the food came out fast! The fried rice really hit the spot with a little bit of Tabasco sauce on top. For dessert we got a POG cake and it was moist and not too sweet. It's a small area inside and has about 4-5 tables. We came on a Sunday at 12pm and luckily didn't need to wait!

Hawaiiain Cookies are to die for! They make em in house and fresh. If you're looking for a hole in the wall place to have brunch this is the spot. The loco moco was a bit bland and croissant sandwich was good but not amazing as their baked items!

Yummy Assorted Breakfast platter: Croissant Sandwich, Egg Bites, Danish, Mini Spam Musubi, scones.

By what time are the haupia cinnamon rolls available? Last time I went they weren't ready yet

Neel H., Relax, brah. This isn't a multi-national corporation with a rigid time schedule. It's one guy (Patrick) and a couple employees.

Can you accommodate a customer with celiac disease? As in, having both GF options and proper cleaning & preparation to reduce risk of cross-contact?

Alice M., I'm just a customer, but I think you are trying to make a watch out of a clock or are hoping to file a lawsuit. This business is one guy plus a couple employees.

Someone told me that you make custard pies? Is this true? I've been craving this for months and haven't worked up the energy to make one. Haha.

Yes I do. I’ll have some for the weekend. I only make 5” pies but if you want a 9” size it’s special order

Is the patio back open?

Weather permitting yes patio is wide open at 6’ social distancing

It wouldn't be a Hawaiian bakery with out Malasadas. Do you have them?

I can make them but I do not have the proper space time and equipment.

Does anyone know if he is the same PATRICK who used to bake for the stone house cafe on Rainier? I am on the hunt for that coconut cream pie!!!!

Yes I am.

We also shared the combo silog which was a great way to sample more of the menu. I enjoyed the garlic rice and ilocos especially. The diner feels so cozy and homey - old photos of the owner and customers and magnets his guests left are a nice touch. Friendly and attentive service despite the busyness.

You order at the front before being seated which means food arrives shortly after sitting down. With that noted, I wouldn't return to wait that long. First visit, to try a relatively famous spot, sure. Inside is a bit tight, but conversation can be had. My friends got the lumpia-silog and bistek-silog. Lumpia was tasty, but not particularly outstanding. Bistek was dry. The beef was tough to chew, seasoned alright on the outside but likely overcooked if not old. I opted for the oxtail silog which was delicious but pricey. Oxtail Silog - for $29, this plate definitely gets a double take. After waiting in the hour line, I figured I should commit for a tasty meal. Oxtail comes in a side bowl alongside a bit of hearty broth which the rice absorbs well. Meat is tender, falls off the bone, but pulling around oxtail bones isn't the simplest, so definitely have to bite around crevices. All in all, this plate was delicious but think it comes with a huge tourist tax I've had better value for oxtail plates. Ube Pancake Stack - four sizeable pancakes. Some pictures, including my own, don't do these justice. I can definitely get behind the hype. They're drenched in a rich ube sauce and there's plenty to go around. Honestly the ube flavor is present on the pancakes, but it feels relatively faint because the sauce is extremely sweet and flavorful, minimizing the pancake taste and expanding the gap between flavors. That being said, I think I would enjoy the pancakes with less sauce (or preferably, on the side).

They served the coffees with a little shortbread cookie, and these little details really elevated the whole experience. Also, the cappuccino was so foamy, and it hit the spot immediately. The breakfast menu was also fantastic. The TPC Breakfast plate included sausage, potatoes, bacon, bread, and some scrambled eggs. There also was an option to add Beecher's cheese on the eggs, and I'd say it was totally worth it. Most importantly, the Dutch baby was as good as they'd advertised. It comes out on a piping hot skillet which kept the dessert warm till the end of the meal. The service was very quick even though they were entirely booked out for the time we were there for. I appreciated the patience from the servers and their helpful directions in picking the menu items. I will warn you that we had to reserve our spot months in advance. This is probably because the restaurant is great but pretty limited in seating space. However, it was definitely worth the wait, so don't be discouraged.
