Dr. Perry is incredibly caring and amazing. I waited only a little bit (previous appointment went over) and she was super nice about it. She still met with me, even after I was a bit difficult and had wanted to cancel and then re-book due to insurance policy. I got to take home many skincare samples from today's visit! I feel immediately better after taking the OTC medication that Dr. Perry recommended me. She had some samples on hand, and it made a huge difference. Dr. Perry was able to identify my issues immediately and shared her comprehensive knowledge with me step by step. I not only feel better, but left having learnt many things about my condition and more. :) I recommend her to anyone looking for a dermatologist. read more

She doesn't know how to bill to insurance, and she sends your specimens to labs that won't cover you. It's been two years since I received her services, and I'm still getting charges... She is the absolute worst. She needs to hire an office manager, or at least grow even slightly competent herself. Unacceptable. Avoid. read more

Dr. Perry is amazing! The moment i walked into her office it felt like I stepped into a different world. she had some relaxing music on and it was cozy in the reception area. She was detailed, answered all my questions(even other questions I had regarding another condition). Exceptional bedside manners! I was nervous about the procedure but she took her time to explain every step she was doing, what to expect during the procedure and after its done. When the local anesthesia started to wear off I was uncomfortable and so I called her. She responded quickly and took care of my concern. Although I hope I wont need any procedure anytime soon, I would definitely come back to see her if and when I need a dermatologist. read more

I scheduled an appointment with MD Perry for my 7 year old daughter. MD Perry is very kind, humble, and caring. She explained everything in the most simple, understanding terms to my daughter and I. She informed us on topics from skin care, to stress and diet. Her educational pamphlets were clear and precise. I've been to other Dermatologist that are quick to prescribe creams and be done, but not MD Perry. I am so glad I found a dermatologist that cares. read more

Dr. Patricia Perry is a a true professional and is down to earth. Great Bed side manners. - guys she's real! Not like many other doctors who don't even say hello as they come in to see the patients. I took my daughter a 16 year old to see Dr. Perry for a funky mold. Dr. Kerry was detailed and thorough and explained it was nothing to be worried about, of course it was a relief for both of us. Dr. Perry was amazing in how she speaks to teens- my daughter loved her genuine kindness and her love of her profession shines thru. We love you Dr. Patricia Perry. read more

Hands down best doctor I have ever seen. So caring, knowledgeable, and kind. I would recommend anyone who needs a dermatologist to go see Dr Perry. read more

I visited Dr. Perry a few months ago about a keloid. She was very informative about it because I actually had no idea what it was. She was calm and patient and friendly and eased my mind about it using personal testimony. The young lady at the front desk was very helpful and friendly as well. Dr. Perry is someone i would recommend for anyone to see if they want to be in the hands of a real professional. She told me if I had any questions I could call at anytime and she would be more then happy to help. I had a great experience and I think anybody else would to read more

Very warm atmosphere. Dr Perry is very knowledgeable, she is patient and she's kind. I feel like there is hope.

She's Amazing! Dr. Perry is one of the best Dr's I've ever been to. She's personable, caring and straight forward, not to mention extremely knowledgable. I went to her with an acne problem that I've struggled with since childhood. She gave me some medication and clearly explained to me what I would experience. The breakouts got worse before they got much better because my body was adjusting to the treatment, exactly as she said it would. I guess because dermatology is largely a cosmetic practice, i've seen some pretty rude patients come in, and Dr. Perry always handles it with poise. I say this because I've read some of the previous comments, and having seen it for myself, I have to say. Don't let that discourage you from going to see her. She's the sweetest person and really cares about every one of her clients. read more

Dr. Perry is a gem of a doctor. She's been my dermatologist now for several years and has always handled my visits with the upmost professionalism. Not to mention, she's also very personable and extremely easy to talk to. You can tell she loves what she does and cares for her patients. I'd recommend her to anyone. read more

Terrible experience with Dr. Perry. The first appt I was impressed and followed the suggested treatment but it did not help my acne which was a completely new treatment to me. On the second appt, my skin was obviously worse. The doctor was mad and yelling at me like I was a child. She told me I had to be 100% perfect in all things she told me to do. She did not change my treatments at all, just sent me away and suggested that I can make a follow up, " if I feel like it". For the next 6 weeks I followed her plan EXACTLY, only to see the worst break outs I have ever had. Was I going to return to her and pay another $50 just to prove to her what a terrible treatment plan she had me on? Definitely not. I would recommend that you stay away from this doctor, especially her terrible attitude to patients. I am a working professional and I need a trustworthy dermatologist that can be professional and caring, that is not what I experienced with Dr. Perry. Side note, her receptionist is extremely nice and very helpful. read more

Worst experience with a physician of my 50-year life. Doctor was unsmiling and brutally brusque in my two appointments. Chided me for not scheduling a skin exam and said my general physician should do them every year (??? isn't that why I went to her, but no, I didn't ask for the exam and never got one). Did a biopsy and promised me results in a week. After I made three phone calls, receptionist said there was "mix up" with the lab results. Nearly two weeks later, Dr. Perry finally called me (no apologies, mind you, for putting me thru agony and for late test results). And the result? Beneign (thank goodness). I will not be returning to or recommending Dr. Perry to anyone. Side note: Receptionist was friendly, but was listening to her iPod (not very professional). read more

I trust and respect Dr. Perry very much. I have referred patients to her and EVERYONE has agreed that she is professional, kind, informed and most importantly, great at what she does. From the serious (skin cancers) to sublime (botox), she is a doctor I'm glad to have and recommend. read more

***UNFORTUNATELY THIS REVIEW WAS DELETED BY YELP WEB ADMINISTRATION, SO I AM REPOSTING HERE, 7/22/2013***: I think it's unfortunate that such a terrific doctor is being held liable in some of the poor reviews below, for our health care system standards of billing or the going market rate of seeing a top doctor as a new patient for a visit, so I really must weigh in: Dr. Perry is an ongoing presence in my healthcare, and an important player in my dermalogic care. If you want a professional who is knowledgable, engaged, committed, and with high expectations for your diagnosis, treatment and recovery, then do see Dr. Patricia Perry, she is one of the very best. If you want low-rent doctors who will squabble with you over their price, or advise what your insurance may or may not pay on your behalf--then look elsewhere. She's a terrific doctor and, again, I find these few negative reviews so unfortunate and misleading. Do see her and see for yourself her quality of care. read more

Wow. So it's not just me giving Dr. Perry one star. Need I really say anything? I will anyway. I went to Dr. Perry to have a small but curious looking growth on my back examined. In summary, she assessed that it was likely a benign growth that would simply go away on its own. Fine. I was literally in and out of there in 10 minutes - no exaggeration. Then my insurance was billed $120 (my portion came to a percentage of that). Really?? $120 to look at my shoulder and then send me home? That's the equivalent of $720/hr. This is exactly why we have a healthcare crisis in this country. I don't question her qualifications, but I do question her motivation. So I sent her a letter expressing my concern and requesting a reduction. Nope - she wouldn't even consider it, backing up her excessive fee by defending her qualifications and claiming that her fees are in line with other similar doctors in the area. Funny, I just scheduled an appointment for a full body exam with another dermatologist just a couple miles away. Estimated fee over the phone: $50-$70. And I know this is a legit doctor because it's the same office I went to before the doctor I was seeing, moved. I don't make a habit of writing letters asking for reductions in office fees, but there have been a few times that I've experienced 'sticker shock' when getting the bill in the mail. Every time that I have requested a reduction, it has never even been an issue. Not once. read more

Dr. Perry cost me $500 in tests on a mole that she removed that I had had my whole life. She ordered the tests (without telling me or asking) to protect herself from any possible lawsuits. This is how she practices medicine. Rather than consider the patient's cost she protects herself in the - literally- one in a million chance there is a problem. read more

Dr. Perry is an outstanding doctor who is an experienced and dedicated professional who cares deeply about her patients and their well-being. She has a remarkable gift of making you feel at ease and comfortable. I have spoken with other people who have been treated by Dr. Perry who had nothing but success stories to described. Her care and professionalism is exceptional. I would highly recommend her to my family and friends. read more

I went to Dr. Perry for a rash on my elbow, which turned out to be psoriasis. I have never had skin issues, so I didn't have a dermatologist and simply found her online (she is in network for my insurance company). I was her first appointment of the day, and she was late. I saw her walk in because it is a small office, I am used to waiting for doctors, so I didn't think much of it. Once in the room with her, she was brisk, rushed and quite frankly, rude. She kept looking at her watch and after she diagnosed me, I asked her if she could take a quick look at a mole on my back. She told me I didn't book an appointment for that and refused. I had only been in the room with her for 5 minutes, and she was the one who was 15 minutes late! She gave me a prescription, and told me to come back in if it didn't work. Well, it didn't. I called her office two weeks later and talked to the girl at the front desk. She put Dr. Perry on the phone. The doctor raised her voice and said "I told you there is no cure for psoriasis!" I knew this, but I also remembered her telling me to come back in if the cream was ineffective. Bottom line, this woman has a poor bedside manner and clearly is either overworked, over stressed or just plain rude. Find someone else. LA is a big place with lots of good doctors. read more

My father was referred to Dr Patricia Perry by his Primary doctor because he had what looked like a rash all over his body. Dr Perry has an unbelievable attitude problem and said it was a reaction to a medication, gave him an ointment. When the problem did not get any better, my Dad returned for a biopsy for which Dr Perry once again said "it was from a medication." I personally called after the meds had been changed and my Dad wasn't getting any better and Dr Perry was the RUDEST woman I had ever spoken to! She blamed my Dad for not getting her a list of his meds, for which I replied that all his meds are on the computer system (which they are; I work in the medical field) and then she said "if I wanted to speak with her; that I needed to make an appointment so that she could charge me!" I was speechless!!! Also, my father was later diagnosed with Norwegian Scabies which is extremely contagious .. and all I can say, is that I hope Dr Perry got them herself for the way she treated my Father and myself!! She needs to learn to respect her patients. read more
