Keep in mind, when reading "reviews" that sick people are often angry and stressed, so take harsh comments with a grain of salt. I had a lot of issues with Dr. Neskovic which is why I found a new doctor. First of all, to help me deal with my weight issue he suggest his Otivia food program which are a pyramid scheme and only help with weight loss if you stick to their expensive food. To help me with depression he suggested watching Eddie Murphy movies would lighten my mood and cheer me up. I love Eddie Murphy but watching a movie doesn't cure depression. I would expect a doctor to know that. He also suggest I do things to relax. When I explained I play video games to relax he laughed in my face and told me twice "video games are for kids." Finally, when I told him about my female therapist he reffered to her as a "lady doctor". He also said it's sad that women are taking over and that it's getting harder for men to get work. I am very disappointed to write this review because, up until the past few months, I would award Dr. Neskovic a 5-star rating. I will describe 2 recent incidents that caused me to seek another primary physician. Earlier this year I received a phone call from his office and was told that my insurance company wished me to come in for a physical. Since I'd never really had a physical with Dr. Neskovic, I was glad to comply. When I appeared for my appointment, I was weighed, blood pressure taken and my ear received a cursory glance because I mentioned that my balance wasn't good. The rest of the visit was used to review the results of an eighteen month old blood test. That was the extent of my "physical." I don't know what my insurance paid him for this visit, but whatever it was, twas too much. During my first visit with my new doctor, I was asked about my prescription for Alendronate Sodium. She wanted to know when I first began taking this medication because it is unsafe to take it beyond 5 years. I promised to return with the date this med was issued. My insurance carrier attempted to contact Dr. Neskovic to secure this important date. He explained he couldn't help out with the request because it was "a direct prescription" and he had no record of when it was first issued. The Blue Shield rep promised that she'd investigate, even if it meant going through all of my prescriptions. She got back to me later, saying that it was first issued in January, 2012. I should have discontinue using this medication a year ago. Dr. Neskovic never informed me of this important piece of information. Dr. Neskovic is a gracious man and I am sad to write this poor review, since there were many years during which I was very satisfied with being his patient. Really wanted to like this doctor. Back office staff is professional and doctor himself is very upbeat and friendly BUT... He talks way more than he listens. In fact, even after repeating the same question 3 times, he still dodged it and marked the file as "all patient questions answered." That in itself is a major problem and had me considering finding a new primary care provider but the deciding factor was when he FLATLY REFUSED TO PROVIDE MY MEDICAL RECORDS. Dr. himself actually told me that federal law prohibits him from sharing medical records directly with the patient. Quite the opposite, the law guarantees patient rights to our own medical records. Why such a request would be denied is beyond me. I prefer a doctor who won't lie to me and who is willing to follow the law. read more

Stay far away from this office, as they are discourteous and thieves: A senior patient was charged over 1000 for an office visit resulting in excessive blood work for the intent to bill patient. Patients Medical/Medicare insurance eligibility was not verified by office staff prior to appointment, as all Doctors offices are mandated to do, prior to rendering service, specially with elderly patients. Will be contacting the Better Business Bureau, as this falls under CANHR financial abuse criteria for seniors. RN, Marlene at Dr. Neskovic's office is extremely rude, irritable and unprofessional. Marlene's office demeanor and mannerisms towards patients is appalling. After their office was negligent in verifying medical/medicare eligibility for my mother, we were charged for a bill in the thousands. The medical bill was not of importance. When we inquired regarding our bill, Marlene, RN took the initiative to advise us to find another doctor. What a shame, for Dr. Neskovic. After years of medical school and thousands of dollars spent to open his private practice, to find that his NURSE is directing customers elsewhere is comical, yet devastating to his career and his practice. Doctor, please educate your staff and allow for them to have the proper training and tools necessary to assist your patients in a professional manner. Marlene, sets a bad example for your office, provides an unsafe and unwelcoming atmosphere for your patients, and takes it upon herself to deter your life long patients and promising patients elsewhere, which may be detrimental to your practice. Simple conflicts can be resolved in a professional and courteous manner. I am confident that your office can do better. read more

Don't waste your time! My wife and I have been looking for a GP and thought we would try him based on the one review (silly us). My appt was at 3:30 and we showed up at 3:00. First off the building is very funky and feels dirty. OK, we thought, let's give him a chance. We get to his office, still funky but hey, we're here. Fill out the paperwork but don't get into his exam room until 3:45. We sit in the exam room until 4:15 and still no one shows up, not even someone to explain the lateness. I had high hopes when I booked an appointment with Dr. Neskovic. I had recently signed on with a different insurance company and was looking for a new go-to general MD nearby. I was intrigued when I found his Yelp page; there were a ton of raving reviews and he was generally received as being nice and enthusiastic about his job. This guy sounded like he was going to be the one! Sadly, this was a far cry from what I had hoped it would be. After going in for my appointment and filling out all the first-time-patient-forms, I was told to wait in the waiting room until I would be called in. About 20-25 minutes later, I met Dr. Neskovic. He was delighted and so unbelievably kind. All smiles and all talk about how we were going to tackle my weight issues together, as a team, and how we would become e-mail buddies by encouraging one another throughout my weight-loss journey. Somehow, for some reason, our conversation suddenly became engulfed into a one-sided spewing promotion for a weight-loss program called, "Take Shape For Life." I sat there, taking in all the blatant promotion and plug-ins for the company, never being asked if I would even be remotely interested in going that route or not. He used up most of our appointment time telling me all the perks of the program, and eventually, he informed me of its monthly costs. Never once did I show or seem interested in the weight-loss program, but still, I decided it would be something that I could address in due time, and that, overall, the experience seemed pleasant. He prescribed me some birth control, and a few other medications. I informed him that I had hurt my knee by accidentally twisting it, and of all the variety of pain medications that had not minimized the pain in the slightest. He asked me what I thought should be prescribed, and I merely suggested that Tylenol 3 seemed appropriate. He refused to prescribe it to me and instead prescribed me something weaker and in retrospect, completely useless in combating my strained knee pain. After a few days of being on both medications, I had e-mailed Dr. Neskovic about how nauseating the birth control had been making me feel and how my pain was still unbearable. I told him I needed something stronger and a different birth control or that I would be switching to a new doctor immediately. He complied, and sent both prescriptions over to my pharmacy, which was a relief. Sadly, I was still incredibly nauseous, even on a different birth control. I e-mailed him about it and later opened his reply; he was recommending me to a gynecologist who could help me further since he would and could not help me moving forward. He claimed it was now an area out of his expertise. He also included how urgent it was for me to join his program again. Needing to be on some form of birth control, I called his office in an effort to speak with Dr. Neskovic. I was hoping he would possibly find a birth control to prescribe me for the meantime until I could see a specialist, (the urgency of being on birth control at this time was somewhat of a necessity, however, it is personal and I don't want to include it in this review). When we finally spoke, he told me that I had been e-mailing him too much. I was taken aback by his blunt delivery. As I tried to explain that I was simply notifying him of my negative experience with medications he had prescribed, he cut me off to inform me, once again, about his weight-loss program, telling me it was the best way for me to go, that I should book an appointment to see him so we could talk about it more. The phone call was rushed and I barely could believe what had just happened. Not only was he refusing to hear me out, but he had totally implied that by e-mailing him, I had become a nuisance. That was it for me. I was tired of hearing about his stupid weight-loss program, and I didn't care or intend on joining it, EVER. Out of curiosity and pure frustration, I called the office back and asked the receptionist pointblank if he was making commission off of recruiting people to the plan. I've never been so frustrated about how a doctor could just blatantly overlook his patient's needs and still attempt to sell his agenda. It was the constant, shameless advertising and promoting that ended it for me. Now, I am left stranded, without proper birth control, waiting to see a specialist. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. He may seem like the sweetest and caring healthcare professional, but he really is just in it for all the $$$ he can make for the program he's backing. Don't fall victim to the constant attempts to get you to sign on. You can lose weight WITH and WITHOUT the plan. Losing weight is all about making personal decisions and sacrifices, so shouldn't the journey you decide to take be one that is 100% your personal preference? Dr. Neskovic may have offered me one course of action, but he never bothered to inform me of other possible avenues. SMH. read more

i met Dr. Neskovic when I showed up to photograph his ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Burbank Chamber of Commerce. It was at a time I felt a change in physicians was a good idea since I didn't feel my current doctor took enough time with me, even after waiting a long time in the outer waiting room and then again in the examining room. Over the past few years since switching to Dr. Neskovic (who I call a friend now) I've never had to wait more than a few minutes - and I never feel rushed out of his office. I am sure this review will end up at the end of all the glowing comments. I am a disgruntled old grouch. However, I came to Dr. Neskovic because I hoped I would get good care as I age. He advertises that he specializes in Gerontology, My first visit was intended to be a wellness visit as I was due for one. This involves a comprehensive exam although he only entered data into his computer. He recommended blood tests even though I mentioned to him that I did not fast the night before. I was not told in advance to fast. Based on one non fasting bank of tests he diagnosed me with type 2 diabetes and ascertained that I did not need a (digital) physical prostate exam based on my normal PSA (even though I have a history of prostate problems). In order to try to convince me to enter a diet plan, that he profits from, he told me that a tooth infection was due to my (so called) type 2 condition. He told me that, a recently but previously treated tooth absess was because of my (so called) diabetes. He is totally obsessed with this diet regimen. You could call him a "diet doctor" because it appears that he gets a percentage on his sale of this product. You might say, "it is for the health of the client" but you realize that it is all about the sale. I have since reached my goal weight without his diet of 800 calories per day for a 6" !" 188 pound male and in addition made some dietary changes. As for my tooth, It healed within two days without antibiotics or painkillers. His office is sometimes unreachable by email or telephone. He has plenty of time to call on Sunday morning to find out why I stopped coming to his office. Others may have had acceptable treatment but my experience is a definite negative. The good news is that now I go to a traditional doctor who takes Medicare patients and carefully examines me. On my first visit, to my new doctor, I was recommended to four different specialists to follow up on my examination. I feel that I am finally in good hands. read more

Dr. Neskovic is a disaster. We chose him for my father because he was affiliated with Glendale Memorial - but when my father went in he explained that he never actually goes to the hospital to see patients. When my father came out with adjusted medications we asked him to review them - he siad "Well they're the experts" and didn't look at the medication changes. When we asked him to fill out a form for my father's government benefits, he charged $65. When we needed another form filled out he demanded $200. He offered absolutely no medical expertise and was unable to correctly diagnose a common skin condition. If you want no medical care, go to this man. If you want medical care, find another doctor. read more
