I again had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Alinsod (for a general physical) as my primary care physician, and I can't praise him enough. He was incredibly patient, taking the time to listen to all my concerns and answering my questions thoroughly. Dr. Alinsod's genuine care made me feel valued, and his attention to detail reassured me that I was in good hands. I left the appointment feeling physically better and emotionally uplifted. I highly recommend Dr. Alinsod for his exceptional care and personalized approach. If I were to offer any constructive suggestions, it would be to measure and gather more data in-office. For example: body-mass-index, baseline hearing, baseline vision (I acknowledge the existence of audiologists and optometrists, but having basic data for the visit would be useful), lung function/capacity, basic strength, basic flexibility, and basic skin exam. I realize that doing this would likely necessitate the acquisition of additional equipment, but it would certainly help the patient to avoid what may be seen as unnecessary trips to yet more offices. Dr Alinsod is awesome! I haven't seen a doctor in years, but I was instantly put at ease with Dr Alinsod. He's very friendly (in a good way) and caring and I love that he took the time to explain and review each part of my blood test results with me. He referred me to a fantastic dermatologist as well. The staff and nurses are friendly and efficient as well. Only downside is that the parking isn't free, but you could look for street parking. Highly recommended PCP! read more

She takes the time to listen and go over any concerns or questions. While I always liked her, today's exchange is what made me leave this review. She made sure to contact me and go over my lab results Friday evening so that she doesn't leave me wondering and worried over the weekend. When I thanked her for staying late and doing this, her response made my heart melt - she remembered that I was training to be a nurse and told me that she was paying it forward and was hoping that i would be as dedicated to my future patients. Doctor Treasa Davis doesn't have her own Yelp listing, but she works in this office so I'll put her kudos here. It's a long hard struggle to find a doctor who really seems to care, and really listens to you. My struggle ended when I became a patient of Dr. Davis. So many doctors, knowledgeable as they are, have a condescending or dismissive or uncaring attitude. Maybe they do care, but they don't come off that way. Not here. I've been coming to Dr. Allinsod (Dr. A) for more than 5 years now; I don't currently have medical insurance but still prefer to come here because of the quality staff. It's not just Dr. A that makes going to the doctor not such an awful experience, the staff are helpful, courteous and make a point to get to know their patients. I never wait massive amounts of time when I have an appointment, and the times I've called needing to get in right away they do their best to get me in, and have up to this point. I highly recommending coming here if you want to feel heard by the people helping you rather than just a number that they want to get in and out as quickly as possible. read more

Dr. Alinsod is probably the best physician this side of the Mississippi. My family has been seeing his for over 10 years. He is a part of the family now. We never had any issues getting an appointment or getting a re-fill for medications. Furthermore, he always sits down and explains in great detail each and every issue. He always has a kind word to say and treats you great. Additionally, his office staff is amazing. Maria has been there for years and is always so friendly. I would not go anywhere else. We are one of the lucky few to have him has our physician. Every time we change our health insurance, we make sure he is on our plan before we switch. Terrible front counter. Over six months trying to get a general physical. The office's constantly rescheduling last minute gives me no option but to look for another Doctor. This last rescheduling I was set to see Dr Allinsod and last minute dump me to Dr Pao's replacement changing my time of appointment and creating a conflict of schedules yet once again. If you value your time and schedule look elsewhere. When Dr. Pao did practice at this office I would come in for a visit with an issue if another issue arose during the visit they would not address the issue. Instead they would want you to schedule another appointment for that secondary issue. read more

Dr. Alinsod is the best GP, hands down. He has been my doctor for almost 4 years now and it has been wonderful not having to dread going to see him. As others have pointed out, he really takes time and pays attention to his patients instead of having to repeat yourself and your history every time you visit (or multiple times in the same visit). But what I personally enjoy is that he doesn't just throw pills at a problem and give you some vague description of what is happening, but really takes the time to show you and explain the problem, how your body is reacting, WHY you need whatever he is prescribing, and how it will help. I really don't like taking medications that I don't understand or that are not absolutely necessary to the condition or healing process, so that is really important to me. He also is mindful that medications and care can be costly and takes the best course of action he can while minding a 'budget.' For example, I had a really bad case of bronchitis and ended up going to the urgent care. The Dr. there prescribed me 3 different inhalers AND a steroid and an antibiotic - at the pharmacy, I was informed that 2 of the inhalers were interchangeable, so I only filled the order for one. 4 prescriptions totaling over $100 (after insurance), I had a follow-up with Dr. Alinsod the following week with my condition not much better - The 2 inhalers I got were (again) the same medication and were generally for asthmatic attacks! Not cool, Urgent Care - not cool. So (really) long story short: Alinsod is king of the doctors. You will not be disappointed in him OR his office staff. read more

I have gone here since I was a child and they treat me like shit. Their main concern here is not the patients, but billing you and your insurance as much as possible. I ask for blood work, and they tack on 5 other tests I did not ask for including a covid test, which i had to ask them to remove. Then in order to discuss a concern I had about my blood work, instead of contacting me with the results I HAD TO CONTACT THEM!! Then in order to speak with my doc they asked me to pay a co-pay?!?! You guys ought to have your licenses revoked. These doctors suffer from a case of over inflated egos and seem to think they are exempt from the laws of economics. "Patient" is just a fancy word for customer. You are a business just like walmart or anything else, and if you treat your customers poorly you will lose them. This office also prescribed me Adderall (that I specifically said I did not want) because the non addictive, non narcotic alternative drug I asked for probably didn't have reps visiting their office and offering them vacations for prescribing quotas. They told me it was okay to do heavy cardio on. Well boy were they wrong and I suffered some type of heart problem that felt like a heart attack after taking this meth substitute drug and working out. Pro tip when visiting, don't ever talk about drug use from your past with them. You're better off lying. They will hold it against you and treat you like an addict for life, even if it's just for cannabis. If you have a medical issue that could be helped using medicine, they will just tell you to do some common sense thing you could have easily read off of google instead of actually providing you with medicines that are made for your symptoms. Seriously go somewhere else or just throw your money in the trash. It'd be better off there, and you would end up with the same results. read more

That's very unique to see a Dr. start as a nurse. He's very well rounded in general in terms of healthcare. Dr. Alinsod's practice is completely modern with the latest technology. All documentation is electronic. He carries a touch screen laptop with him to receive patient records and to document. He is an iPhone user and will show his patients various health apps that can help people achieve better health. Dr. Alinsod will provide several solutions to remediate an issue. Option 1 usually is an alternative not requiring any form of prescriptions or medical procedures. He will give the patient the option to decide what the patient wants. He emphasizes on making lifestyle changes first to remediate a problem. He wants the patient to be healthy in general without any dependance on medicine or health treatment. Option 2 can be prescriptions to help with a problem or be medical treatment. Annual physicals are comprehensive including an EKG. I never had an EKG until I had Alinsod as my physician. My annual physical results are emailed me for convenience. This guy is a top notch physician. Look, Dr. Alinsod is a nice doctor. Numerous times, I go in thinking I'm dying and he convinces me to not go casket-shopping over a particular ache or pain. However, one of his office policies annoys me. His office will only allow a prescription to be renewed for one year without making a new appointment. I do NOT have time to make a redundant appointment to renew my prescription for Imitrex / Sumatriptan! Some patients (like me) are long-term-users of unremarkable, non-addictive prescriptions -- like this migraine medication. I had my pharmacy call Dr. Alinsod to renew my prescription like he usually does and you know WHAT? They REFUSED to renew it unless I scheduled an appointment! You see, family practice businesses do not make any money renewing prescriptions. They only make money from visits. So practices like Dr. Alinsod that put business above patient convenience FORCE you to come in every-so-often to get long-term-prescriptions renewed. I don't have time for that song and dance. Dr. Alinsod seems nice and competent. But in all honesty? I want a physician who renews my prescriptions without demanding that I tithe to the appointment/visit offering plate. read more

I've been with Dr. Alinsod for well over 10 years, probably when he started his own practice. He is a great and is definitely THE reason I have not switch my family plan to Kaiser even though it would be cheaper. Like everyone else says, he definitely takes the time to get to know you and spends time with you when you go in. Not like other doctors who may or not may remember who you are or what your medical background is until they look at your file. I recently switch my husband over to Dr. Alinsod and am about to switch my daughter over too. The major reason for switching my daughter over to Dr. Alinsod is that after an injury to her knee, I can appreciate the attention Dr. Alinsod and his staff gives to their patients to get fast referrals and also their up-to-date technology including use of email and electronic medical charts. I went to him on a referral from my cousin 3 years ago. She has since left him. I now know why. I called and made an appt for my husband and called to make sure they took and ACA PPO, they did. 4 weeks later, they called to cancel his appt because they said they no longer took that insurance. I called them back to say he had waited 4 weeks already for the appt. They said, for established patients they take the insurance but not since he was considered a "new" patient. I asked them to discuss that with Dr. Alinsod because I had been an established patient for 3 years. They called back to say that they passed that on the Dr. Alinson, but no go. I asked that he give me a call when he had a free moment. His office called me back to inform me that he told them to call me and tell me that he had no time for personal calls and that it was my prerogative to take my family elsewhere. Dr. Alinsod is kind, compassionate, generous with his time, does run late at times (but always super courteous and apologetic), and has a sweet bedside manner. He does listen, he expects you to ask questions, and allows time. We've been going there for 10 plus years, and when our insurance didn't qualify us for him, we paid out of pocket. We're happy to do so - he's worth it. Staff is almost uniformly the same as the Doctor, with 1-2 minor exceptions. Hi! Sorry to put a bad review for a Doctor/clinic I really liked at my first visit. Today was my second, I had to wait 2+hours for my visit. They said there was a fire drill and were running a few minutes behind (it was definitely not a few minutes). After my LONG wait, the doctor didn't even see me (Dr. Davis). They sent in a nurse practitioner with no explanation at all. WOW! Then during my visit, I asked a few questions that I usually ask during my annual check up about 2 moles. They are charging me $67.59 extra - the NP could have told me about this expense and I wouldn't have asked. My father is a doctor, and I could just go home and ask him instead. When the biller told me about this additional expense - I was shocked. Also, while I was waiting I overheard the office staff tell a Pharma sales person that one of the docs whose name is on a sign, hasn't even been at this office for over a year and a half. I was going to overlook the wait time, because I had a good first experience with Dr. Davis. Who now doesn't even care enough to show her face. It seems that both my husband and I will not be going back to this office. read more

This review is actually for just Dr. Davis. It's been long overdue. I saw her a few years back, and she misdiagnosed me. She ran some tests and after a few days, called me to tell me my diagnosis. She prescribed medications and I of course took them, trusting her. Then a few weeks later, she calls me to tell me that she had made a mistake! I come to find out I was actually pregnant, I didn't have whatever she diagnosed and she prescribed some antibiotics that could have been potentially harmful to my unborn baby. I stopped seeing her after that. Recently, I decided to give her a second chance, since someone told me they had a good experience, and I figured, that we're all human. But boy, did I regret that decision today. I scheduled an appointment earlier in the week for what I think are pretty serious issues. I get to my appointment early enough, since I too work at a health facility. (Animals) So, I can understand and appreciate the doctor's and staff's time. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for me. I waited in the exam room for 45 minutes! No one bothered to check up on me. I checked in with her nurse after 30 minutes, she said that she would be in in a few minutes. 15 minutes after that, the doctor comes in and asks how I'm doing. I of course let her know I'm upset, and she coldly asks, "Is this going to work? I'm sorry, but is this going to work?" Like are you kidding? I just waited 45 minutes for her and she didn't even have the patience to hear me out. Right away I didn't feel comfortable and decided that she wasn't the doctor for me. If you have all the time in the world and would like to get misdiagnosed, go and see her.. My time is precious and I got out early from work to go to my appointment and was late to pick up my daughter from daycare. But she didn't seem to care. Never again will I see her.
