I have been a patient of Dr. Piano's for a long time, and will continue to do so in the foreseeable future. Dr. Piano takes a personal interest in my health and well-being, and I always feel that she cares about my quality of life. The staff - Gina, Pang, and Joann - are excellent, attentive, and reliable; I know that I can always count on them. Make an appointment and your wait times will be very short; don't be entitled and just walk-in hoping they will jump through every hoop to see you right away (this is NOT an Urgent Care facility). It's easy to complain about the cost and quality of healthcare today, but I am more than willing to say that Dr. Piano is the best primary care physician that I have ever had. Thank You!! read more

Dr Raquel Quema at this office is very good, always takes her time, and it feels as if she genuinely cares. However, the admin/nurse staff could use an overhaul. I get a call saying that my referral ppwk is ready for pickup, and the times that I can pick it up. When I show up, no one can find it, and the nurse (Angeline-something) says she already faxed it over to the facility. So why then did she leave a message saying that it needed pickup? Or why didn't she update her message saying "no need to come in"? She looks as if I am bothering her when she, in vain, looks for it, and when she finally (15-20 minutes later) gets the Dr to sign another one and hands it over, she says: "Have a great day!" with the same attitude as if I had just crashed into her car and demolished it. While I was there waiting, I hear another client complain about a phone message they had left that said she could walk in to get her ppwk signed, but when she now is there, she finds out she needed an appointment...but, of course, that wasn't mentioned in the message. It is kind of hard to get appointments to come in and see a doctor at this place; sometimes the next appointment is several weeks out, which doesn't really work if you are in pain or sick. Thus, they suggest walking in during their limited availability times. You wait for a lo-ong time, and the process is frustrating. If this place wasn't so darn convenient for me, I would stop going. read more

Dr. Piano is the best Primary Care Physician I've ever had in my whole life!! She's been helping me with some complicated health issues for several years. I'm so grateful that she knows how to treat me so well - she also knows all the good specialists. I can't thank her enough!! Her staff is amazing as well! I also wanted to add that I recently saw Dr. Navarro from the same office (as Dr. Piano has a waiting list at least a few weeks long at all times) and Dr. Navarro was great as well. She's younger, but experienced enough to know what she's talking about. Her approach is conservative (which I like and agree with) and she was right on on an issue I was having and gave correct advice to resolve it. I won't hesitate at all going to see her if Dr. Piano is not available. The third doctor there though - I can't remember her name, I don't think I'll see again. No biggie, but she misdiagnosed me with something that I later had to go back for Dr Piano to skilfully figure out. read more

I've been going to West Magnolia Medical Center where Dr.Piano works for years now and have been holding back a review until now. When Dr.Navarro worked here it was great, she was caring and always knew what to do. Ever since I've been dealing with Dr.Piano and always leave feeling like she just wants to get me in and out and never addresses my issues correctly. This past week was my final straw and I will be finding a new doctor. I had gone in 3 times over the last month with issues that she claimed to be allergies but the last time I went everything was worse. Dr.Piano made sure to tell me "I told you it's just allergies", ok that is great but it turned into a cold that has me very sick. She ended up hurrying me out of the appointment and giving me allergy pills and an antibiotic. This time I was hoping it was going to work but it did not and I ended up in urgent care that Sunday. I was informed by the doctor that Dr.Piano gave me INCORRECT medicine. She gave me medicine for a skin infection or UTI, which NEITHER are issues that I had. Due to her lack of care i was given the wrong medicine and ended up 10x worse since her medicine was for the incorrect problem. On top of this dont even bother to call the the after hours doctor, he will cut you off and be extremely short with you. I wasnt even able to tell him my symptoms before he asked my age and asked if it burned when I peed. I got one word in about my ears hurting and he said "You have an ear infection go to the urgent care good lucky bye." he hung up and did not not hear but ONE word about what was wrong. The only good thing about her practice is the nurse practioner Melinda, she is kind and caring. read more

Dr. Florinda Piano is difficult to schedule appointments at your requested time-frame. My main issue I experienced was with the receptionist. I was talking to the receptionist via phone and asked politely if she can mail me a copy of a receipt of my visit and procedure Dr. Piano had done on my wrist exam. I explained to her that it's for my insurance company (auto) regarding to the incident of my car accident. Joanne (I believe that's her name) was very hostile and uncooperative giving me a hard time about it to the point that I had to have my auto insurance talk to her. My insurance rep put me on the phone and did a three-way calling and Joanne told my insurance rep I did not state it is related to an auto accident. I was shocked and can't believe why she said that. OMG, that was one of the first questions Dr. Piano asked me on my first visit of what caused the wrist pain injury, and I did told Dr. Piano "It's related to the car accident when I got side-swiped from a hit-and-run and twisted my hand from turning the wheel in an awkward position." Joanne said Dr. Piano did not put anything down about a car accident. Does the doctor have a loss of memory? Or is the receptionist the one who carelessly didn't put that down? I had other physicians referred by Dr. Piano to get further exams on regarding to this auto accident. Why would Dr. Piano refer me to others if she didn't know it was an auto accident? I just can't believe how this turned out to be big problem over a simple thing. I don't even understand why Joanne was being so rude and defensive to my insurance rep. So awful, unprofessional, stupid. What a way to experience this on my first visit. read more

Horrible, just horrible. Waiting time on walk ins all morning, they rarely answer calls. Don't help at all. Receptionist rude and don't even make eye contact. Even on appointments take 3 weeks to a month, mean time I'm dying. 4th time here and this is why I rather not come to the doctor. My kids and friends have Kaiser, but my work health insurance doesn't cover it so far I haven't found decent doctor decent area that takes Anthem. Any suggestions feel free to message me. Horrible experience with Dr. Florinda Piano. I had read decent reviews so I thought I'd give her a shot. I spoke to her about Celiac Disease my first (and only) appointment with her, and told her about my concerns with it. She basically shoed away what I was saying, told me "Celiac is a fad" and that I more than likely have IBS. For anyone who has gut issues, this is the exact thing you don't want to hear from a doctor. A doctor should comfort you and try to get to the bottom of your symptoms and be knowledgeable. She was misinformed on the symptoms of Celiac, and either way, to discount what your patient is saying and scoff at a request to get blood work is just completely unprofessional and cold. No, thank you. She might be an OK PCP for some, but I will not be returning. read more

She may be a fantastic doctor, but I think she is over-referred by other doctors and thus she is ALWAYS busy. And when I do make it in, she doesn't have a very good bedside manner, and generally I leave (at first) feeling like I overreacted and have no problem but once I get home, realizing I didn't have my problems addressed and still had issues. But if you can remain firm about something being an issue, she will listen and help you. read more

Walk in hours horrible 3 hour wait, better pay up and go to urgent care. Good luck getting the doctor to call back after you leave a message wait a week, also you have to basically tell the front desk its personal like 500 times before they place the message because they want more info from you. Waiting over 2 1/2 hours to see the doctor during the walking hours and they tell me there is still a walking person I front plus an appointment ahead of me . It might take 3+ hours to see the doctor. It's to hard to get appointments here most of the time I go to urgent care to see a doctor the same day. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! This office is horrible. It's impossible to get an appointment in a timely manner. And when you finally DO see the doctor you feel like she can't get out of the room fast enough. Zero bedside manner and the front desk lady thinks by calling you, "honey" it excuses her incompetancy. Avoid this place if you can. Not worth the headache! This office is way too busy to give proper medical attention. I'm FINALLY switching Doctors because I'm tired of going to Urgent Care every time I need to see a doctor. Piano has been my doctor ever since she took Navarro's patients (Navarro was my doc) but I've still yet to ever meet Piano. Why? Because this office is so overbooked all of the time that I can never get an appointment in a timely manner. So I just go to Urgent Care. If you DO get an appointment, wait times are a joke... and I always see either a fill-in doctor or Piano's nurse. Never Piano. Hence, I need a new doctor. Piano isn't the only game in town. read more

As a patient, one has to understand that there are office policies and wait times, therefore your expectations should be practical. I Can NEVER get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time nor can I ever get anyone on the phone to Make an appointment. I literally go to Urgent Care way more than I go to this office because I can never get seen. They always offer their "Walk In" times but who has time to go in and sit and wait with hopes that you'll get seen in a timely manner? I think this office takes way too many patients than they are adequately staffed to receive. That's probably why they ignore calls and don't return messages. They simply can't handle the volume of patients -- at least in my own experience, which has been several years. Fortunately I haven't had any serious problems. read more

The front desk staff is horribly rude! I understand that she sees alot of patients in any given day, but she needs to remain courteous and professional at all times! I was told i could not get a note to return to work after being sick for over a week, that i had to see the doctor as a walk in, which takes hours. When i explained that i called 6 times the day before and left two messages, she said she could not understand me. If she could not understand me, how did she know it was me? My phone number is on file, why not call me back and ask if it was me that called? I hate that i will need to look for a new doctor, but if you cant get into to see the doctor when you need to, what good is that doctor anyway? read more
