It has taken me 13 months to be able to do this. Because I fear retaliation by this dr I am posting anonymously, though knowing elements of this story he may know it is me.
To this day I still have to catch my breath when I think about my story. I will keep it as short as possible, though my letter to the medical board is 26+ pages of a misdiagnosis this dr is at the head of.
My OB sent me to the diagnostic radiologist because he had better equipment, but I feel he had a diagnosis in mind and didn't want to do the dirty work, but that is important because I strongly have reason to believe he helped soil the diagnosis before I came here.
My husband and I were able to be fit in for a quick 10 minutes. We walked into a disgusting room that was also messy with books piled haphazardly on every surface to the ceiling. No joke.
As soon as the wand hit my abdomen I heard a heart beat and we were in such happy tears. We said "that's a good heartbeat right"? He said "yeah but it's a bad pregnancy are you in pain?" I responded "no", and he leaves the room. My husband took a picture of the screen.
He comes back and says I spoke to your dr and you need to go to the emergency room. And proceeded to go on about where my uterus is and where the baby is. He was incredibly wrong about what he was pointing to. Thank goodness we had a picture.
I sat in the hallway and changed my clothes and got my blood drawn and the nurse asked what brought me in and I said corneal pregnancy (rarer form of ectopic) and he said, wow that's extremely rare and you are the third one in the last few weeks.
Longer story short, A surgeon Met with Feit and got the report from him in person (I found it odd he hand delivered). The surgeon then came to me and my husband and said I will need a Fallopian tube, part of my uterus and my baby removed. I was being wheeled to surgery and I told the surgeon to stop and listen to me. That I am 8 weeks pregnant but I have zero pain and I know it's important whether or not I'm in pain. Then my husband showed her the picture from the ultrasound. She said, "ok you aren't in pain?" I said "no". She goes "ok let me go talk to someone". She came down half hour later with discharge papers and sent me to self drive to an out of network hospital instead of doing new images herself.
I get to the new hospital where I was told I have a perfectly healthy pregnancy. We showed them the picture my husband took and what the dr had said was my uterus versus what was my baby. He said a fibroid was my uterus and my baby (sitting very obviously in my uterus) was part in the horn of my uterus part in my Fallopian tube. By the way my whole pregnancy was a dream, not a moment of even raised blood pressure or swollen feet.
A month and a half ago I celebrated the first birthday of my son who also turns out to be gifted. No joke, he is so smart and above his age level by 6 months that we have to work with him in advanced lessons at his school.
I sent a complaint and a report to the medical board. read more
