Pro Tech is an oasis in the desert of incompetent pool repair companies on the north shore of Long Island. However, they require that they keep the credit card number of their customers on file, a policy that originally gave us pause, but it turns out that they are very trustworthy and good at communicating clearly what their charges are. Also, rather than giving you a precise time they will come, they give you a range of dates (4-5) that they will visit and then a day before they specify a two or three hour range of possibilities. Prices at the high end of market. We've found however, that they are well worth the extra cost.

They secured a builders permit, but the last step in the process for a CO is a final inspection - they never took care of that. What would have cost $100 at the time winds up costing over $1000 when you find out it wasn't done and you need to take care of it before selling your house. Be very careful before selecting these guys!

They broke the ladder and threw the ring from the ladder to the bottom of the pool during the opening. The worker looked at us and just kept working. The pump wasn't turned on. We called Pinto to fix our pool. They were amazing and provided excellent service. If you can take a cover off and throw shock in your pool, you can save over $300 by not calling this company.

They always comment how nice the pool liner feels on their feet as opposed to gunite or cement. Over the years, I have required items to be repaired which was accomplished with pristine service. Most recently, I was offered an upgrade to my phone remote access. I seized the opportunity. I control all with the aiming Logic App. It also includes light shows, which was another upgrade. I have to admit, friends of mine with pools do not have the same bells and whistles on their pool as I have although paid many times more. The team of Patty, Steve and Mike are such a pleasure to deal with. I give them my highest recommendations. Before you make a final decision on your pool, call Steve. Btw, they set it up such that the maintenance is very simple or should I say almost maintenance free except for cleaning. Chemistry balance also very easy, as needed. I became a local expert in pools and quality products all learned from Bilt Rite. I remain extremely please with the highest quality equipment recommended to me which continues to allow me to be maintenance free. I do it all myself, except for opening and closing procedures. The quality of my neighbors' pools, although paying much more, was highly inferior and certainly not user friendly. I can control all from my phone, having installed an Aqua Pod and Modem. Sure beats going out every time to turn on heater or filter. As far as service is concerned, when something goes wrong, unrelated to the installation, they will definitely take care of it to perfection. I recently needed a "board" replaced. It was done with the utmost care and professionalism, coming back a second time to ensure it was fully operational. It was also followed up by the office to ensure all worked out perfectly well. There might be a rare occasion of an unsatisfied customer with customer service. I can only tell you that I have never experienced anything but the highest level of service and getting the job done always. Any issue related to pool function is always cared for promptly. If it can be done over the phone then it will be communicated in that manner, otherwise in person. I wish to highlight the main person in charge of customer service, Patty. Her responsibility is huge. She is in charge of keeping everyone on time with their opening and closing of pools, new construction schedule, rare issues with pools that need attention. She does it in the most professional manner. She answers all emails and phone calls in a very timely way and always get the job done. Just remember, when you show respect and professionalism, you will be treated back the same way, to your highest level of satisfaction. I would like to close by saying they know everything about vinyl pools. They have decades of experience. They do not do gunite pools and have therefore developed an expertise in Vinyl and its associated equipment. Where do I begin to tell you all how lucky I was to find the people at Suffolk Liner. When I went…read moreto open my pool this May, we saw that we lost about 75% of the water. Finding a quality company to come in and handle this problem during the "peak" time of the year for pool openings and service was really difficult. My pool company who built the pool (8 yrs old) were of no use, they wouldn't help me because"I wasn't an active customer. I found Suffolk liner by luck when I was at my dentist. I was getting a root canal and I was telling him the story of my pool. He said to me that he used Suffolk liner and was very happy. I already hired someone but began to have second thoughts when they did not show when they said they would. When I got in my car, I called Suffolk Liner and spoke to Jan, the owner. He had said that they were extremely busy but he will help me and have his site manager to get in touch with me. The next day, I was contacted by Arak, who assured me that he will take care of us and get this resolved as soon as possible. WE made an appointment for the next day. Arak came to the house and looked at the pool and liner problem which was now tearing from stress and he again assured me that he will get us into our pool by July 4th. We sat and chose a beautiful liner that was totally different from our prior liner and he gave me a very fair price that I was happy with. He again soured me that this will be all resolved soon and that the liner will be ordered the next day. (I already had the measurement s and was using the same liner company, which saved us time because no measurements were needed). He said the liner will be in in 2 weeks and then we will set up the install. Suffolk liner called me at about 2 weeks and we set the date for install. The installation crew was just amazing! The team of 4 powerhouses were Moniek, Marek, Eryk and John. They came fired up for the install and immediately went in, drained the remaining water and then began slicing up the old liner and placing into garbage bags that were not too heavy and easily handled. They placed all the liner bags in a spot that I designated fro easy load into my car to take to the dump. (Hampton Bays- we hire our own garbage pick up and I brought the liner to the dump). They do not take the liner away, which I was fine with. The crew began to work diligently to reshape my pool basically going over the entire pool with a trowel making it perfect. They also had to remove all summer plates (3) and my 6 lights, which is a cumbersome task. I also had 6 drains in the deep end to be removed and reset as well. They worked into the night setting the new liner into place with what I feel was a perfect installation. They all strategically moved that liner and got it ready for filling and setting the vacuum to remove air as the liner fills. 2 days later they came back to do all the cutouts of skimmers and then reinstall my lights. Once the at was done, they called me out to see that everything was working perfectly and I continued to fill the pool. They even did some last minute rolling of a spot on the bottom to make it nice and smooth. The team and the entire staff at Suffolk liner were all truly amazing and went above and beyond to help me out and get us back in our pool by July 4th!! Jan was a life saver going out of his way to see that they got me into the schedule immediately. Arak was our savior delivering a top notch team of installers and a beautiful liner. The entire job was smooth and. Amazing to watch. Please check out my before and after pictures!!! I enthusiastically recommend Suffolk Liner for your new liner installation!
