Food was so-so and service was terrible. Extremely rude when checking out. I definitely would not eat there again.

We asked to sit and order drinks. They said yes. Then when people arrived they insisted that we order two tapas. When we ordered two tapas, they asked that we order two more or leave. We left.

There were many restaurants and tapas place in this area of Barcelona. Lots of tourists also. I picked this one I don't know why. I was happy for their prompt service, good food and wine. Definitely a tourists place, but a good one. Paella was tasty and anchovies with vinegar was good. Olives and red wine, they are good almost all places in Barcelona!

This for "4 tapas dishes" for 15 euro. Tourist trap!

4 tapas for 15 euros. Sounds good right? Nope. They fail to mention that they're mini, and that all 4 tapas that came in one itty bitty platter could not even fulfill one little girl. I'm barely 5'2 and less than 120 lbs. They saw our group of 3, but didn't warn us we would not be full. Portion size is measly, about 1/3 the size of a normal tapas dish. I had tapas the last two nights so I would know. We were so hungry before the meal AND after the meal. The worst thing was they were very aware of their unethical business. My friend called out the waitress and said, "This is the worst meal we've had here. Did you know that we wouldn't be full off of this? " "Yes" the waitress says shamelessly. Also, there was a one euro fee for sitting outside. Thanks for telling us. No one should come here.

I've been coming to Barcelona for countless times and this is a very first place I won't recommended to anyone. Plus this is a first time I sent my food back in the past 10 years. Their tapas were just ok, not as good as other places I went to before. -Garlic potatoes tastes nothing like garlic. It was more like potatoes dips in olive oil. -Grilled small peppers were under salted. -Seafood paella was horrible and it was the plate I had to send back. It was inedible fishy. I asked my friends to took a bite of the rice and they all agreed the seafood was bad. (We didn't even touch the seafood.) The rice tasted that fishy we didn't want to get food poison by tasting any of those seafood. The server told me it made with seafood so it suppose to taste like seafood..fresh seafood yes, a week old seafood NO! My friends speak Spanish so they told the guy we know what seafood paella taste like. Finally he took it back. Thank you! -Tiramisu was alright. It was different than regular tiramisu. First I just taste more like a custard cream with coco powder on top but once I dig my spoon all the way down I could taste a coffee syrup. This dish actually was the best I had that night beside my sangria :) -Catalunya cream brûlée was super eggy with a thick burn sugar on top..my friends and I had a bite and no one dare to take a second. -Sangria was good. I never experience any bad sangria in Barcelona ;) Sorry for this bad review. There are many tapas places in BCN so if you guys don't step up a little bit, you will be able to fool those poor tourist once but no one would ever come back.

Great food. It came out veRy quick. Only down fall was drink cane with tons of ice but when we asked for less ice on the next one they did it. Bread was very thin with tomatoe but we had extra white bread. I recommend dulling the bread into the oil of the chorizo. We had chorizo pulpit Caesar salad croquettes cheese ham calamari and the olives. All perfect amounts.ready for dessert it looks good! Except the expression double was not really a double

The Basque style octopus was fresh and tender.

Ok so I am somewhat of a tapas snob. I grew up in Spain so I known what things are supposed to look like, and especially how they're supposed to taste. We had a delicious meal here: of tapas. Portions were fine. They're supposed to be small, but shared between the 2 of us, we made a fine meal. Don't know what the haters were so upset about. Not us!

What's up Philly!!! It's your boy!!! Well I must say it's been a minute since I've given a review. But I got married & me & my wife decided to honeymoon in Barcelona Spain. And let me tell you this city is full of life. Folks in this town treat everyday like the weekend. Each day & night people fill the streets just enjoying life. With restaurants & taverns everywhere you go. Now me & wifey dined at a few spots ( some hits & misses) but one particular restaurant won our respect in the fact that the food & service was so good we went back to dine there 3 times. And every time was a great experience. The food was on point. Remember this name Pa Tapas in Gothic Quarter Barcelona. Great food, Great service & Great prices. Trust me you won't be disappointed. Ok till next time. Peace!!!

Touristy. 10% service charge. Food is good but a bit pricier for what it is. There are street performances who come by for tips.

This was recommended by friends awhile back, I remembered the modern ambiance, amazing Tapas, friendly service and the place was as busy then until now. For this big restaurant caliber, it's pretty crowded yet they do a good job with a fast turnaround. We did the early Dinner and by the time we got out there was already a long line for late Diners. The fact that even after a decade, it's rare that I go back to the same spot let alone they're still around after all these years. You already know that tells a lot and I feel bad for those who didn't have the same great experience, hope they give it another shot. See y'all soon! Salut, Vermouth!

My son had been here last year and thought, it was a solid. We put our name in, went to a nearby park bench to wait and watch people for 50 minutes. The servers outside are grumpy as to many people are crowding the sidewalk and impeding his service. Finally, our name was called, were seated at the bar, and watched a chef make the magic dishes. The menu is huge and I can't help but watch the delicious dishes flying by us. So little time and yet so many great choices, this won't be easy. We began with the beef tenderloin montadito foie gras. It was presented as a open face sandwich on a bagette. We split it as it had a huge piece of foie gras. The tenderloin was tough and the tapas tasted like indivdual components, not a blended or refined profile. The grilled razor clams were nicely cooked, slightly gritty and needed to be washed more thoroughly. The Spanish omelet wedge was spiritual, dish of the night award. The onion made the dish! The sliced fried artichoke was finely shaved, and again lacked a enjoyable flavor that I would order again. The chips with fried eggs and Jabugo ham was different, tasty and a concept I would not of thought about. Delicious! Casveseria Catalanahe was packed and stacked for a reason. A high vibe and energy even in the face of a revolt at the check in desk from hungry dinners. I came say without hesitation, we will give them a second try. The staff was friendly, engaging, warm and a good sense of humor, nothing but smiles. I can't wait for our next trip to Cerveseria Catalana and let them tell me what to order. Good luck and see you sooner than later.

We were happy to enter the cozy La Alcoba Azul and seated by a smiling host immediately & presented with menus. The interior looks almost like a wine cellar with brick vaulted ceilings. The offerings are best described as fusion tapas but there are a few traditional bites as well. Our waiter presented us with an amuse bouché of pumpkin hummus topped with roasted pepitas on an herbed toasted baguette crisp. DELICIOUS! We confidently ordered the tomato tartare with avocado cream, basil, olive powder and rosemary olive oil caviar as well as a half order of cured Iberican meats featuring chorizo, loin, sausage and ham, an order of the hummus with black olives, parsley, pine nuts and pita triangles. All were terrific! We especially enjoyed the meats and tomato tartare. I enjoyed a red sangria that was satisfying and happened to be topped with cinnamon...a first and welcome addition for me. La Alcoba Azul is a spot we'll keep on our tapas go to list! You shouldn't hesitate to visit.

Our server, Amaya, was funny, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. He took great care of us, and every single recommendation he made was delicious. I wish I knew all the Spanish names of the dishes because everything was amazing. The highlights for us were the Bacalao -- so tender and full of flavor -- and honestly the best octopus I've ever had in my life. We also loved the soft steak with duck liver served on a slice of French baguette, the shrimp skewers, patatas, and the Spanish ham with tomato toasts. Every dish was unforgettable. On top of the incredible food, the restaurant itself has such an elegant atmosphere with beautiful décor that made the whole dining experience even more special. While all of the food was great, for me the codfish was hands-down the star of the show and probably one of the best dishes that I ate on the trip. The flavor of the sauce combined with the texture of the fish actually blew me away, and I can see why my server highly recommended this to me.
