Very romantic and cozy restaurant both in door and patio seating. Perfect for a birthday or rehersal dinner. Huge selection of pasta, we got short rib pasta which was delicious. The best part which you must not miss is the desert! Must have the tiramisu and what's even better is the cheesecake!!!!!
A wonderful find! The pasta was absolutely delicious and it's my new favorite pasta spot in Miami! The pasta itself is so flavorful and the way they combine it with sauces is just perfection. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also liked the vibe inside the restaurant - it has modern luxury atmosphere that is great for a date night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the tiramisu. It wasn't bad but the pasta set the bar very high. I think it was missing flavor in the cookie, maybe it should've had whiskey base or something. Would be happy to come back!
We got three pastas to share, all the top recommendations from the server and the chef. Each pasta was amazing and different in flavor. The paccheri ai tre pomodoro was a wonderful tomato based sauce with some sweetness from the datterini tomatoes. It's lighter but still savory with the consistency of the sauce. The spaghetti carbonara was not overly salty and had the perfect amount of richness. The conchiglioni al sugo de carne had a heft amount of meat in the sauce yet each bite wasn't overwhelming. Can't go wrong with either of these dishes. Will definitely be back to try the others.
Great Italian in Midtown. I had the carbonara with perfectly al dente spaghetti, and my friend loved the fresh pasta with beef ragù and she said it was delicious. The lunch special included dessert, so we finished with pistachio gelato and coffee, which was a perfect ending. Street parking was available and easy to find.

The waitresses were incredibly kind and attentive, always checking in and making sure we were having a good time without being intrusive. The service honestly made the experience even better. All the pastas are fresh and perfectly al dente, just like true Italian style should be. I tried the Rigatoni all'Amatriciana, and the sauce was bold and powerful with authentic Roman flavors -- absolutely delicious. The tagliatelle Bolognese had a rich, well-balanced ragù that tasted slow-cooked and homemade. The agnolotti filled with ribs were super flavorful and comforting. I also ordered a glass of wine that unfortunately tasted a bit oxidized, but the waitress handled it very professionally and kindly replaced it with a Nebbiolo, which was excellent and paired perfectly with the food. I still need to go back to try their carbonara -- it's a classic and definitely next on my list. Highly recommend if you're looking for fresh pasta, authentic flavors, and great service.
I always rave about this place to coworkers. This is the second job I've had I was able to convert people to Pasta e basta fans!! Came with co workers for their lunch special I believe it's pasta dessert and espresso for under $25 ! I got the carbonara , it's so flavorful and the pancetta is juicy and crispy. Food is always fresh and consistent in taste. I got the tiramisu for my lunch dessert it was so good and also taste very fresh. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat in the garden and it makes you forget you are in the middle of Miami. Place is small, but very charming - it has a cool and hip med/California vibe. We showed up to celebrate an event without a reservation on a Friday night around 8:45p (peak hour), and the staff was very polite and accommodating - we waited maybe 15 minutes before they found us a table for 3. The food was great: I had the carbonara - it was delicious - I rarely, if ever, give high praise, and this dish was a 6 out of 5 - it was not like any carbonara I've ever had, but it was delicious. The crispy cured guanciale (pig cheek) was out of this world (really crispy and flavorful - mind you since it's cured it's very salty, but I love salty). And the pecorino Romano had a strong acidity to it making the dish the best carbonara I've ever had. We also ordered the BEEF LASAGNA and CONCHIGLIONI AL SUGO DI CARNE (short rib pasta). I only tried the lasagna and it was decent, I would order it - I'd rate it a 4 of 5. I did not try the short rib pasta, but my friend said it was great. Throughout the experience, the staff kept frequently, professionally and 'seamlessly' checking on us without intruding at any point - they were prepared for recommendations and knew how to politely handle anything you threw at them. For desert we tried the CHEESECAKE BASCA (basque cheesecake) and it was delicious 5 out of 5 - portion is so good it's not big enough. We also tried the SALAME AL CIOCCOLATO, which are homemade chocolate cookies from a sausage form factor - they bake them into sausage shape with Callebaut Cocoa. Crushed Biscuits and Coffee Kalua. Then slice them like salame - you get four pieces - I don't like chocolate, and I enjoyed these, especially contrasted against the cheesecake. 5/5 for chocolate lovers. If you want a cool hip but intimate restaurant to take a date or a lunch business partner, this is a good spot. Make sure you make a res in advance - we just lucked out, but don't expect to find a table if you show up at peak hours.

Came here with a friend on a weekday for lunch. Excited that there was a lunch special (pasta, coffee, dessert for $22). Complimentary bread standard and decent, love when it's complimentary. The staff said the most popular pastas were the rigatoni carbonara, cacio e pepe, and the cavatelli al sugo de carne. I ended up ordering the rigatoni carbonara and my friend got the cavatelli. I loved the al dente texture of both of our pastas. If I had to choose, my favorite would be the cavatelli because of the denser texture of the cavatelli and the beef was really good with it. For the coffee, my friend and I were able to choose the decaf options, I got an espresso, she got a latte--both good and great pairing with dessert. We shared the tiramisu and the fig crostada. If you like fruity tart flavors, the crostada is for you, otherwise I preferred the creamier tiramisu. Parking available close by as street parking either in front or across the street. Service was attentive. Ambience was nice and comfortable. Overall a fantastic lunch deal, definitely will consider coming back for the lunch special.
I had been wanting to come here since it opened, I've had only heard good things about it. Finally came for dinner for a friend's birthday. As we entered the restaurant, the staff greeted us and we were promptly seated. The restaurant is quaint, and decor is minimalistic and beautiful, with a large outdoor dining area. Our servers were very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. I tasted a salad made with tomato, avocado and heart of palms-- I was hooked! I couldn't stop eating it. It was delicious and I want more of it. We also tasted 3 different types of pasta which I also enjoyed very much.. The sauces were *chefs kiss * I will definitely come back for more.
We had dinner with some of our friends last night and wow Pasta e Basta was amazing! The lasagna was incredible with the creamy bechamel sauce and the short rib pasta was extremely flavorful. We couldn't help but try the tiramisu and chocolate cake which both did not disappoint. Worst Customer Service Experience Ever This was hands down the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. The manager, GianMaria el manager una Basura de persona , treated my daughter and me with complete disrespect and discrimination. We were made to feel unwelcome from the moment he approached us. What truly crossed the line was when my baby's food was asked to thrown away several times. As a parent, this was shocking, humiliating, and unacceptable. There was zero empathy, no attempt to resolve the situation, and no accountability--only attitude and arrogance from management. No family should ever be treated this way, especially when a baby is involved. Customer service was nonexistent, and management behavior was disgraceful. I will never return and strongly warn other families to avoid this place They did not offer any kids menu options, we were the ones who asked if there was something that they could adapt; they said pasta with any sauce, the manager did not offer anything for my baby, we asked the waiter. we obviously understood that we could not bring food; so we put them in boxes as they required, but the manager keep harassing; and told us that my daughter has 5 minutes (yes, 5 minutes to eat her food); he asked to leave the place. The owner should learn to be humble and human; even the best meal if is offered with disgrace and disrespect is garbage. I usually do not this type of review but last night was an absolute disaster, worst experience ever.

First time visiting, and we were off to a good start with super convenient parking right outside the restaurant. JP was very professional and attentive. Pasta e Basta continues to deliver excellence. This time we ordered the Cacio e Pepe with truffles and the carbonara. The Cacio e Pepe was balanced, but still flavorful. The choice of white truffles was an excellent one as it does not overpower the dish. The traditional flavors at there, just slightly enhanced for the truffle lovers. The carbonara was faithful to the classic, also balanced and packing the nostalgia of your Roman pastas. The portions are perfect as well. Pasta can be overpowering and we believe there is taste in delivering the optimal portion size. The wine list is carefully curated, although they were missing a few bottles we would've loved to try. We ended up drinking the vermentino, always a good choice. My husband and I were so impressed with this restaurant in Miami! We had such a hard time deciding what to order because everything sounded so good! Both of us were very impressed with our gluten-free pastas! The sauces were delicious and we both finished everything! This place is very pretty inside! Many open tables during lunch. We were seated promptly. The waitstaff was very kind and welcoming. For apps we had: -Insalata Mista with tuna, tomatoes, mozzarella and olives. They didn't put enough dressing so it was dry. they only put oil and vinegar it needed like a Cesar or Italian dressing. -polpette al sugo- our favorite thing we had that day. moist tender meatballs with bread to dip and a lot of sauce For mains we had: conchiglioni al sugo di carne- big shells with short rib. very dry not a lot of sauce do not recommend this dish -rigatoni carbonera- i enjoyed this dish more, although i prefer carbonera with spaghetti or bucatini. The sauce was flavorful. It is a great deal to come here during lunchtime! They currently have a lunch deal where you have a coffee, entrée, and dessert for a set price. I would be willing to come back again to try a few more dishes and to get the meatballs again. read more

Great date night spot. So yummy! Portions were a little small but filling. The guys each ordered two dishes, afraid they would still be hungry at the end, but were stuffed and didn't finish it all. Overall we enjoyed but it was a little hot. The space is small and the constant opening of the patio door brought in a lot of hot air and we were sat right next to the door. Pair that with multiple hot dishes on the table and we were sweating. Our server Maria was so nice!!! Loved having her insight and her honest recommendations on what and how we should order. Unique pasta spot in midtown! Pasta e Basta is a tiny, super intimate restaurant, that offers good service and pasta. The show stopper here is the really the bread, but the experience in general was nice. The seafood past DEFINITELY could have used more proteins, but all in all it was a pleasant evening. I suggest arriving early as they do sell out of things (like beer) even on non busy nights. read more
What an amazing find while on my biz trip to Miami! My team brought me to this restaurant to have a client meeting, and Pasta e Basta did not disappoint! The restaurant is quaint and beautifully decorated with a modern touch. Truly makes you want to stay and chill for the day. Our service was spot on, thank you Maria! For my lunch meal, I grabbed the Frutti Di Mare, which had a perfect al dente pasta and nice portion of tasty seafood! I topped the meal off with a double espresso and hour Tiramisu. read more
As a big fan of Italian food, I was very excited to try Pasta e Basta for the first time. Ambiance: Somehow this place felt like home to me. Its so quiet, the furniture is really nice and the atmosphere is kinda peaceful. Food: The appetizer called La Scarpetta was surprisingly good. We chose the bolognese one and it was so tasty! Must try. I had the Paccheri Al Tre Pomodoro which is one of their main dishes and in my opinion, it was ok! The sauce was really fresh but in general I was not impressed by it. My husband had the Carbonara and it was great. Both pastas were perfectly cooked. For dessert we had the Basque Cheesecake and I loooved it. Delicious! Service: Even though we didnt have a reservation, the staff were able to accomodate us which I think its always nice. Overall the experience was good. I came here with a few friends after one saw an Insta post of their tagliatelle Bolognese. A group of us started the long weekend by finally meeting up for dinner Friday. Getting there first - I know, a rarity - I waited at the bar while enjoying a glass of "Vigna Senzanome" moscato. With it not being overly sweet and having a hint of sparkling in it, even one of my dining companions who's not a moscato fan said she enjoyed it. After we secured our spot in the outside patio (there's also a cozy inside dining room), we started with their fluffy bread and olive oil. The bread was also a table favorite. I don't believe they had balsamic vinegar though. My choice of appetizer was their pork meatballs. Served in a smoky pomodoro sauce and with more pieces of the yummy bread, this dish was a star. Heck, I shared it on my insta immediately! Likewise with the star of the show, the dish that brought me here: the Tagliatelle a la Bolognese. The noodles had a great texture, just a dash beyond al dente, and the yummy ground pork & ragu sauce were very well prepared. As we were eating family style, this dish was another fave around the table. The reason my review drops to 3 stars is alas also because we ordered family style. One of my friends ordered their rigatoni a la carbonara. Sampling it, I agreed with her that the pork was a little too salty for everyone's taste. The original "requester" even had to send it back. In contrast, the 4-cheese gnocchi was lacking in flavor. However, the red sauce ravioli that made up a friend's order was another saving grace. I enjoyed both desserts we tried: the creamy and smooth basque cheesecake as well as the fig tart. A minor pet peeve was the water. We have our own organic tap water from Hialeah that even the major commercial bottled water companies use. Why we have to pay $8 for "Acqua Panna" even though they have tap water (brought after our bill) was annoying. Also, I am not sure if even with a reservation, but typically you have 90 minutes per seating. I understand it with the space being cozy, just "hurry up". Of course, there's also an 18% automatic tip, although they do split the check, In summary, it earned a spot on my placeholder list for now. If we had stuck to their red sauce dishes this review would have certainly been higher! read more

Stopped in for lunch - first off, the aesthetic of this adorable restaurant is to die for. Gorgeous neutral tones, fabulous interior design, extremely comfortable seating. Secondly, the kindest wait staff and the most patient - eager to ensure you have the best visit possible. The pasta was FANTASTIC. Handmade onsite, eat bite was scrumptious and extremely filling. Anticipate a major food coma at the end! The lunch special allows you to choose any pasta, dessert, and coffee for one price - highly recommend! Mon-Friday, 12-3 Reservation suggested, but not required at lunch. read more
I had been looking for an Italian spot in Miami for a while for a bday dinner that does easy reservations. I am so glad that I went for Pasta E Basta. The reservation was for 11 people and they were so accommodating . The table was so spacious and we sat outdoors. The food was delicious ! The pasta was cooked just right. The tiramisu was the best I've had here ! The service was excellent they checked in so many times asking if everything was okay . The prices were reasonable. I had a lovely birthday dinner here. It is located in Midtown. A great spot for photos as well. Easy street parking. I am definitely coming back here . A great pasta find in Miami. read more

This is hands down one of the best restaurants in the midtown area! There's free parking available right across the street from the restaurant which is a plus. We were a party of 5 and as soon as we walked in we were greeted by the hostess, who gave us a warm welcome and told us to wait a few minutes. We were blow away by the chic and modern decor, they did a great job with creating a beautiful restaurant that makes you forget you're in Miami. We sat in the beautiful patio, which if you have the option to pick the patio on a beautiful breezy Miami evening! Then you really should! You should try the meatballs which were out of this world, the menu is simple, but don't let that full you all of these dishes are packed with unique flavors! We tried a few pasta dishes and they were all 10/10! Just know that the serving size is for one person, so definitely order a few dishes if you want to share with a large group! Everything from the service to the music, to the weather was perfect! We needed with the famous tiramisu which is a must try if you go to this restaurant! If you're looking for a place to have an intimate date night or hang out with friends, make sure to check this restaurant out, you will not regret it! read more

When you first walk into the restaurant, at first glance it seems like a tiny place with only a few tables, but they actually have a whole outdoor section as well. The ambiance is beautiful, romantic, and nice. To start I had a glass of rosé and the complimentary bread and oil. I tried a pasta dish off the chefs recommendations (pomodori) and although it was good, it tasted like pasta I could get from anywhere else. Same with the spaghetti pomodoro. We finished our water halfway through the meal and asked for a refill which we didn't get, so we were quiet thirsty but other then that our server was polite, maybe he was just busy. Not pictured : tiramisu and mango sorbet. The tiramisu was delicious and tasted strong of coffee (perfect for coffee lovers) and the mango sorbet tasted like an authentic mango! Very fresh and delicious! The prices of the dishes were reasonable considering this is Miami and the aesthetic is upscale. read more
