I felt like I was back in Italy. The restaurant is small and cozy and oh so beautiful and classy. The food was delicious, well priced, and good portion. Very authentic! It's a must try. The lunch special can't be beat, a pasta, dessert, and coffee for $22... #winning. Service was great, the server was very attentive.

Fantastic! It's small and cozy, with a comfortable atmosphere. The style is simple and casual, yet it retains a refined elegance. I absolutely love this authentic Italian pasta spot. For those of us living in the city center, it is truly a hidden gem. Our waiter, Mirko, was excellent.

I always rave about this place to coworkers. This is the second job I've had I was able to convert people to Pasta e basta fans!! Came with co workers for their lunch special I believe it's pasta dessert and espresso for under $25 ! I got the carbonara , it's so flavorful and the pancetta is juicy and crispy. Food is always fresh and consistent in taste. I got the tiramisu for my lunch dessert it was so good and also taste very fresh. We sat in the garden and it makes you forget you are in the middle of Miami. The vibe feels like you are on vacation in a wine garden. I can say it's a small place and fills up all at once for lunch so service can be a touch slow for extra request. But the overall experience is worth it

Place is small, but very charming - it has a cool and hip med/California vibe. We showed up to celebrate an event without a reservation on a Friday night around 8:45p (peak hour), and the staff was very polite and accommodating - we waited maybe 15 minutes before they found us a table for 3. The food was great: I had the carbonara - it was delicious - I rarely, if ever, give high praise, and this dish was a 6 out of 5 - it was not like any carbonara I've ever had, but it was delicious. The crispy cured guanciale (pig cheek) was out of this world (really crispy and flavorful - mind you since it's cured it's very salty, but I love salty). And the pecorino Romano had a strong acidity to it making the dish the best carbonara I've ever had. We also ordered the BEEF LASAGNA and CONCHIGLIONI AL SUGO DI CARNE (short rib pasta). I only tried the lasagna and it was decent, I would order it - I'd rate it a 4 of 5. I did not try the short rib pasta, but my friend said it was great. Throughout the experience, the staff kept frequently, professionally and 'seamlessly' checking on us without intruding at any point - they were prepared for recommendations and knew how to politely handle anything you threw at them. For desert we tried the CHEESECAKE BASCA (basque cheesecake) and it was delicious 5 out of 5 - portion is so good it's not big enough. We also tried the SALAME AL CIOCCOLATO, which are homemade chocolate cookies from a sausage form factor - they bake them into sausage shape with Callebaut Cocoa. Crushed Biscuits and Coffee Kalua. Then slice them like salame - you get four pieces - I don't like chocolate, and I enjoyed these, especially contrasted against the cheesecake. 5/5 for chocolate lovers. If you want a cool hip but intimate restaurant to take a date or a lunch business partner, this is a good spot. Make sure you make a res in advance - we just lucked out, but don't expect to find a table if you show up at peak hours.

Cavatelli al sugo di carne (lunch special)

Came here with a friend on a weekday for lunch. Excited that there was a lunch special (pasta, coffee, dessert for $22). Complimentary bread standard and decent, love when it's complimentary. The staff said the most popular pastas were the rigatoni carbonara, cacio e pepe, and the cavatelli al sugo de carne. I ended up ordering the rigatoni carbonara and my friend got the cavatelli. I loved the al dente texture of both of our pastas. If I had to choose, my favorite would be the cavatelli because of the denser texture of the cavatelli and the beef was really good with it. For the coffee, my friend and I were able to choose the decaf options, I got an espresso, she got a latte--both good and great pairing with dessert. We shared the tiramisu and the fig crostada. If you like fruity tart flavors, the crostada is for you, otherwise I preferred the creamier tiramisu. Parking available close by as street parking either in front or across the street. Service was attentive. Ambience was nice and comfortable. Overall a fantastic lunch deal, definitely will consider coming back for the lunch special.

I had been wanting to come here since it opened, I've had only heard good things about it. Finally came for dinner for a friend's birthday. As we entered the restaurant, the staff greeted us and we were promptly seated. The restaurant is quaint, and decor is minimalistic and beautiful, with a large outdoor dining area. Our servers were very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and friendly. I tasted a salad made with tomato, avocado and heart of palms-- I was hooked! I couldn't stop eating it. It was delicious and I want more of it. We also tasted 3 different types of pasta which I also enjoyed very much.. The sauces were *chefs kiss * I will definitely come back for more.

Very good, classic pastas. Adequately priced, located at a street across from the Midtown mall. Service is correct.

    Cacio de Pepe

This restaurant was amazing! The inside was super cute, offers indoor and outdoor seating. They had multiple gluten free noodle options that could be exchanged for any of the pasta dishes. Love that the dishes are also seed oil free!

Absolutely wonderful service. Incredibly fresh and flavorful pasta. Nice atmosphere both indoors and outdoors, great selection of music. All the dishes had an excellent bite. Sourdough bread was also quite fresh.

Pasta e Basta is the kind of spot you stumble upon and immediately wonder how you didn't know about it sooner. The food truly tastes like the home country--fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Our server, Mirko, was not only knowledgeable about the dishes but also spoke both Italian and Spanish, adding to the authentic feel. We decided to share three dishes, which was the best decision--it gave us a range of flavors from their menu. The pasta was perfectly cooked, sauces rich and balanced, and the tiramisu was an unforgettable sweet finish. The garden patio is lively and vibrant, while the indoor space feels more intimate and chic--so you can choose your vibe depending on the night. Parking is on the street (paid or, if you're lucky, near the residences on the west side). Walk-ins are welcomed, and they always have weekend specials that are worth asking about. Other diners rave about the Carbonara, Amatriciana, and Vegetarian Lasagna, and I can see why--every plate is carefully made. We also appreciated their thoughtful wine list, which even included kosher wine, a rare touch that really stood out. The service is warm and consistent--our experience was echoed by other reviewers who mentioned the staff and even the manager go out of their way to make you feel welcome. If you're in Midtown and craving real Italian pasta, this place is a must. Whether you sit on the bustling patio or inside for a cozier evening, Pasta e Basta delivers an authentic Italian dining experience that feels both special and inviting.

My husband and I were so impressed with this restaurant in Miami! We had such a hard time deciding what to order because everything sounded so good! Both of us were very impressed with our gluten-free pastas! The sauces were delicious and we both finished everything! The restaurant is small, but classy and quaint. Our waiter, Allan, was very friendly and helpful when ordering! Will definitely go back!

Conchiglioni Al sugo and rigatoni carbonara

This place is very pretty inside! Many open tables during lunch. We were seated promptly. The waitstaff was very kind and welcoming. For apps we had: -Insalata Mista with tuna, tomatoes, mozzarella and olives. They didn't put enough dressing so it was dry. they only put oil and vinegar it needed like a Cesar or Italian dressing. -polpette al sugo- our favorite thing we had that day. moist tender meatballs with bread to dip and a lot of sauce For mains we had: conchiglioni al sugo di carne- big shells with short rib. very dry not a lot of sauce do not recommend this dish -rigatoni carbonera- i enjoyed this dish more, although i prefer carbonera with spaghetti or bucatini. The sauce was flavorful. It is a great deal to come here during lunchtime! They currently have a lunch deal where you have a coffee, entrée, and dessert for a set price. I would be willing to come back again to try a few more dishes and to get the meatballs again.

We started with the bone marrow appetizer, and it was truly outstanding -- incredibly balanced, rich without being overwhelming, and so good we couldn't stop talking about it. We ordered the steak and eggs. The crunchy brioche, earthy mushroom purée, and beautifully sliced steak came together perfectly, and the saltiness of the caviar tied everything together in a really thoughtful way. The picanha was another standout! incredibly tender and full of flavor. We paired it with the broccolini and wagyu fat potatoes, both of which were absolutely delicious. To finish, we shared the ube cheesecake empanada. We were a bit hesitant at first, but it turned out to be the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal. The cocktails throughout the night were also excellent. We enjoyed the restaurant so much that we brought friends back later the same week. That visit was just as impressive -- we ordered the tomahawk steak, garden salad, bone marrow (again!), steak and eggs, truffle fries, broccolini, carrots, and tried all of the desserts. Once again, everything was delicious across the board. The only area for improvement would be the service. Everyone was kind and attentive, but at times too quick to clear plates and not proactive enough with the next course. At a restaurant of this caliber, I'd expect the dessert menu to be offered immediately after plates are cleared, rather than needing to track down a server. Overall, the food is exceptional, and we'll absolutely be back.

We chose the tasting menu at the counter. The execution of the initial dishes in the tastings were well seasoned. But quickly it was clear that given the restaurant was becoming busy and the food service and the drink pairings were not in sync. Part of a tasting experience is being wowed and enjoying the progression of dishes as you would a performance. Javier and our waiter in particular made sure by the end to ensure our experience was smoothed out. One note about the tasting experience is it lacked a certain level of finesse. While the service team did explain the dishes beautifully, it would have been nice for the chef to come out and explain even one of the dishes, especially with a restaurant that has the potential to share a rich background in history about the dishes and flavors. I found that to be particularly surprising that was not the case. In all of the tastings we have participated in (NY, Paris, Miami, Barcelona, Rome, Shanghai...) the chef has always come by even if for a second and it's in those moments that you really get a sense of the passion and the experience of a tasting. After all the origin story is the thread that would have pulled the elements together. It would have elevated this from an average to a more memorable experience. Overall, the food was solid, but regrettably not memorable. There are certainly elements that can benefit from workshopping (timing, chef engagement, consistent execution of dishes) however would be remiss if I didn't shout out Javier and our waiter for their receptiveness and making a positive end to the evening.

Seating is mostly outdoors and beautifully decorated, definitely a nice selection for an intimate event. Service was wonderful! The spanakopita was nicely flaky, the spinach filling wasn't overly bitter or pungent (my boyfriend is not a fan of strong feta flavors and enjoyed this while I am a feta enthusiast, we felt that this was right in the middle of our demands which worked great). We both love moussaka which is what my boyfriend ended up getting, dare we say it was our favorite moussaka out of any Greek restaurant in America thus far (coming from New Yorkers frequently visiting Astoria). It was broiled to perfection to give the cheese/béchamel layer a light crunch at the top and maintaining that richness underneath. The eggplant and ground meat were well seasoned. I really enjoyed my stuffed peppers as well (rice pilaf, ground beef, and feta on top), the tomato broth/sauce gave a nice sweet and savory flavor with the meal. Finally, a superb pistachio baklava, 10/10. Super impressed with what Miami had to offer for Mediterranean.

While my friend sampled a few of the more complex options, I stuck to my standard Ranch Water, which was delivered perfectly. The service stood out here. The bartenders operated as a highly coordinated team, moving fast and effectively to manage a busy crowd without losing the ability to make personal connections through conversation. I don't know why you wouldn't check all three systems before telling someone they don't have a reservation but nonetheless after about 5-7 minutes she finally found it. We were seated promptly and the server who sat us got our first drinks and our water and from there the service of our permanent waitress was a little subpar. We seemed to wait an excessive amount of time for things and sometimes I feel it's because they have the guaranteed gratuity added. For me, this is a reason why the service should be even better because you are not going in this place spending less than $100 per person for even the cheapest things on the menu. We ordered the 4oz of crab legs, the steak tartare with caviar and the steak platter. The food was all very delicious but the bill was astronomical compared to the portion size. It was a great experience to have, but if I never go back I won't be disappointed. The steak platter was my favorite thing that we ate because of all of the homemade things that accompanied the steak so that would be something I would go back for.
