My experience at Luna pasta e Dolci ristorante was amazing! I went with a friend of mine and we had empanadas (the spinach and cheese one was so delicious). The Golden plate is something I can't stop thinking about, it's a ricotta and truffle tortellini pasta with mushrooms, ordering this is a must!! my friend had the salmon ravioli and it was sooo good! We came for drinks and dessert, and those were wonderful. Their service was also spectacular. This opened up in the old Bar Melli spot. It's got a totally different vibe inside, but same basic layout with a bar up front, seating, and the kitchen in back. Our server was awesome, so that made it all perfect. I'm only giving Luna 5 stars because they won't allow me to give them more. Wow.. just wow. Cute, cozy place with ridiculous pasta! We tried four different dishes last night, including the nightly special which was beef stroganoff gnocchi... 10 out of 10 on all 4. The spicy rigatoni was ****ing RIDICULOUS. So good... just a subtle kick of spice from the pepperoncini but the rigatoni was so perfectly al dente.. just mind blowing. My wife and kid also got the lasagna and the golden plate. The lasagna is a little different since it has some bechamel sauce incorporated into it... could have used a little more of the pomdoro tomato or bolognese sauce but we were so focused on everything else, we didn't ask.. HOWEVER, if we had, the wonderful staff there would have gotten it for us. Great food, wonderful people, go.. but don't go on a night we go because we want a table!! Luna has nice a chill vibe, which made me sure I was going to have a pretty good meal. The staff is attentive and are always filling your glass. Whoa. What an amazing little gem. A friend told me they love the empanadas at this Italian restaurant. I felt that a little sus. However upon trying their lamb empanadas to go, I could see what they were talking about! Perfectly fresh baked, flakey and doughy shell with a scrumptious filling. I also got the crab ravioli to go. They were able to swap the sauce for me to a pure tomato sauce, since I couldn't do cream. You can also order frozen ravioli by the pound and they have a lot of flavors! The Ravoli was fresh. A hidden little gem serving up some incredible Italian cuisine! The place might be on the smaller side, but the tables are spaced out well so you're not on top of the other party. Love the fact that the menu is small so you know the food is going to be fresh. Our waitress came by quickly to take our orders and food came out at a good pace. They start you off with complimentary focaccia bread with an aioli dip which was good. For appetizer we started with the burrata classica. It was the perfect ratio of burrata, prosciutto, and tomatoes. It also had a very nice surprise of fresh pesto at the bottom. For entree we went with the Bucatini Carbonara which was an absolute hit. It was so delicious. My favorite part was the guanciale and the creaminess of the sauce. For dessert we got a scoop of the pistachio ice cream that had some pistachio spread on top which really enhanced the pistachio flavor. It was the perfect end to the night. read more

I LOVE a low profile cozy restaurant with great food and service. And I can say Luna Pasta e Dolci checks all these boxes! We went on a friday night - no reservation and sat at the bar for a drink while we waited for the table. I had wine and my husband had an ICE COLD beer - very rare to find in Miami. Service was incredible - we felt really welcomed by the staff! Food was also impeccable. We had jamon croquetas, the lasagna and the salmon ravioli. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. I was especially surprised by the salmon ravioli as it was really fresh, tasty and it was a great size portion - not small at all. I liked how this place is well spaced for the tables and not too loud, but the pastas were not mind blowing, only slightly above average. The only thing I'd consider going back for might be the flap steak. I didn't get a picture of it, but it was tender and well seasoned. However, there are other places to get a steak so I'm not sure why I'd go back specifically for this steak and pasta dish since there was nothing particularly special about it other than good execution. read more

I have been wanting to try this pasta spot for years . A friend planned her birthday here and I was excited ! It is in Biscayne. It is a cozy pasta spot. The menu had varied dishes . I knew that I had to try the Spicy Rigatoni. The service was excellent. The owner came and checked in on us numerous times . The vibe was classy. The prices were decent. Another local spot in MiMo district and spectacular! They make all their pastas in house. They have a takeout spot just a block down. Plenty of parking in the back with a 3 hr validation with the QR code that you get inside. Ordered the arugula salad to start and the bread with a delicious special butter spread. The server recommended The Golden plate, and I added shrimp to it. Sooo flavorful, if you love truffle and mushroom this is the plate. Nice quiet vibes with friendly people. Their food was top notch. Dinner came with complimentary focaccia bread and some aioli sauce. We ordered 2 glasses of red wine "Malbec". Bread was fluffy and tasty with rosemary. For appetizers we decided to go with the Burrata. The cheese was super creamy and came with tomatoes, basil and pesto sauce. Oh.... Also included slices of prosciutto which was freshly sliced. You can taste how fresh it was. Now when it comes to the main course, it was difficult to choose as everything sounded great. We saw a table that ordered the lasagna which looked amazinggg. Next time we'll try that. We decided to try the bucatini carbonara. It was delicious. Flavorful, and pasta was cooked perfectly. Includes guanciale which gave it a nice touch. Finally we had some space for dessert so we just got a scoop of Pistachio gelato which had a pistachio cream on top. Super good and homemade. It's a 45 min from our house but we gladly drive there. We moved to FL 2 years ago and it quickly became ame our fave, the pear ravioli and the squid ink pasta are to die for!!!! We love this family-owned place. We have been going since 2019 and it remained consistently good. The pasta is delicious. My favorite is Mafalde pasta and I definitely recommend it. On the way there my buddy and I had decided to go there again The decor has a simple and clean appearance. Once again the food was extraordinary. Had a special salad buratta with tomatoes and roasted red peppers with jumbo shrimp, fresh basil leaves; served with a little olive oil with unique spices, perfectly mixed as not to discern any of them. I could have had 2 of those for dinner Dinner great, I tried their lasagna, different than what I've have more northern Italian. My buddy had the shrimp fra diavolo with pasta cooked in squid ink. Stellar service. Great pasta dishes. The complimentary eggplant based dip with the bread is delicious. Wish they would expand their alcoholic beverage offerings to include liquor (an espresso martini would hit the spot with some of these pastas). I had their red sangria which was way too sweet and tasted like I was drinking straight sugar juice with a splash of red wine, wouldn't order it ever again. They validate parking in their lot but there is not much parking available in general. Also easy to confuse the restaurant location with the takeaway location that is just one block south - their signage is not very clear for the restaurant, but for reference it is directly across from El Bagel. The Golden Plate is 100% worth ordering but would recommend to share with your table due to how rich it is from the truffle. Take all your leftovers home with you, some of the pastas tasted better reheated than they did fresh. read more

We came here for a date night on a Sunday evening for my birthday. The restaurant has a small bar at the front with a cappuccino bar and decent size wine selection. There's about 16 tables in the restaurant and an open air kitchen in the back. There was great dinner music playing the entire evening. The food selection was excellent and there was an additional selection of specials. Both my wife and I enjoyed our meals. I did the beef. Bolognese and my wife did the fillet Risotto. Both of us would highly recommend those dishes. We started with the Burrata and Prosciutto antipasta , which was also excellent and ended the dinner with two cappuccinos and the almond apple tart with vanilla ice cream. Absolutely everything we ate was excellent. This is the perfect restaurant for an evening out. It's at a great cost point when you wanna have a date night and not break the bank! There's a large enough selection that we can come again and again without eating the same thing twice. Service was excellent as well. read more
