There are little tables set outside with umbrellas along the street and this spot always has patrons both inside and out. There is a huge variety of items from which to choose and they do serve wine and beer. On this visit, the Gorgonzola and Pear salad was ordered. It was offered with a balsamic vinaigrette. The tuna was nicely seared and tasted fresh. The size of the salad relative to the price is a little off as I felt the portion size could have been larger compared to what the salad and tuna is charged. The woman that runs the shop is incredibly personable and friendly. She makes you want to give her your business whether you are hunger or not. Quite good quality food. I don't get here as much as I should! I tried the mushroom burger today that came with fries or a side salad. I thought the burger was equally tasty as healthy. The food here is really good. The Italian coffee here is also nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I felt it a bit humid, so sat inside this visit. Unfortunately, inside may have been warmer than outside absent air flow. I didn't like that there were also a number of flies flying around inside when the food came out. Some of the tables were messy and hadn't been tended too. The bathroom in the back is a bit tucked away in a store room. I hate to say, I dropped a point due to cleanliness this visit. I had wanted to try this place for quite some time, so finally I went there on a "Foodie-Day" in Miami last month. Well, disappointing at best. We went for a quick bite in the early afternoon, during the week, so the place wasn't busy at all. Still, we went in, sat at one of the small tables and...wait and wait and wait. They had maybe 3-4 tables with patrons outside, while inside it was empty. Several employees were walking by us, nobody even thought of approaching us for a menu, water or anything; we were pretty much ignored. After a while, over 10-15 minutes, I got up and walked to the counter and asked the guy what we were supposed to do to get someone to come to the table as we had been waiting for about 15 minutes and although we were noticed by the personnel, nobody came to us. The answer was "order here and we'll take the food to you". No apologies, nothing of that sort; mind you, it was anything but obvious that we were supposed to do that, because we saw waiters serving the table outside. That really got me frustrated so I told the guy what they were waiting to come and tell us to do so, but the level of interest he had in the whole matter was between low and inexistent. Anyway, we ordered the salmon carpaccio and the bresaola. Salmon was okay, the bresaola, for the first time in my life, was pretty much inedible. Beside a "plastic taste", I couldn't chew, it was full of nerves inside that I never even knew exist in bresaola. I was unable to finish the dish, so we called the check and left. Now, I don't know about the rest of the menu, but the service was probably the worst we had in years and we are pretty patient; being Italian we don't need to be served super quick, but that was ridiculous. And I have never seen bresaola like that, I don't know if it was old, or they got it from some low quality place, but it was like chewing a gum. Being that Miami is full of options, I don't think I am going to get back to this place. read more

Inside there is a corner with Instagram worthy wall décor with tables and high top seats. Outside has a tent and small tables too. Menu They are known for their paninis. We tried the two pictured. Some have two options for a large/full size or small/half size. The cashier recommended the Leandro Panini. I wasn't too hungry and the small was perfect. It has grilled chicken, cheese, olive oil, and perhaps a light mustard like sauce. Very light yet flavorful. The salmon burger was larger in size and taste. Again the olive oil, sauces and salmon was cooked to perfection. We were surprised that there were no sides included. Price For around $8 to $12 per panini. Not knowing that here you have to order first and then sit wherever you want, we went straight to sit at a table inside. After a few libations at the nearby Elite event, I needed something solid to munch and within walking distance. D'oro was golden, especially thay though they were closing at 10pm I was able to get a full meal. My cashier was also very pleasant. The space seems geared toward takeout, with a small seating area both inside and out (puppy friendly). They also have a large wine selection and deli cuts; perfect to take out for a picnic or dinner at home. However, for those of us who set off smoke alarms when we try to cook, they have a great selection of pre-made pastas. I started with their bruschetta prosciutto, loaded with perfectly salty prosciutto and creamy mozz. These actually had such a generous amount of meat that I had room for only half of my main. The fusilli bolognese I enjoyed had a perfect bounce just north of al dente with plenty of tomatoes, ground beef ragu as well as an add-on of extra marinara sauce. Besides great taste, my to-go container was densely packed with food I was able to split into last night and tonight's dinner. The temperature was just right, and I didn't have to reheat it. Super cute place with great paninis and empanadas. Try their prosciutto, gorgonzola with figues panini or their beef empanada with a nice glass of Montepulciano. You can't go wrong. The desserts seem amazing but we have yet to try them. They also have a little retail wine section for you to either take home or drink in the restaurant. Although parking may seem like a challenge in downtown, you have ample options between street parking, garages and bayside parking. Great indoor decor and outdoor patio on quiet street. This hidden gem offers freshly-made bruschetta, salads, and sandwiches, as well as desserts and unique beverages. They also have a market where you can pick up Italian imports like olive oil, pasta, tuna, and fancy peppercorns. I've been for lunch a couple times and had a different sandwich each time. The Tito with soppresata, artichokes, goat cheese and sweet paprika is fantastic - served on crusty bread - it's definitely a filling meal. I've also had the Nerone with speck, figs, and gorgonzola, though I thought it could've done with more figs. Prices are reasonable, and the service at lunch is friendly and speedy. Four of us decided to meet up for lunch downtown on a recent Friday. After some back and forth, we decided to try D'Oro. This place has a decent lunch menu with several different bruschetta, panini and salad offerings. On this day I think all four of us got their lunch special, which was their soup of the day (chilled mango), your choice of two of their small paninis and a soda or bottled water for $9.99. This place has a limited amount of seating inside, and a few high tables and chairs under a giant umbrella on the sidewalk in front. It was overcast an a bit drizzly on this day; while 2 of the ladies were ordering their meals, I grabbed 2 of the tables out front and moved them together under the umbrella so we were able to be sheltered by it. IMO, this "Caffe & Market" was a very good choice for lunch. The soup and both paninis were really excellent, and the portions were about the perfect size so this lunch offering was filling, but not overly so. The only real negative, which I won't count against this place in my overall rating as it's really a general one that would apply to many of the restaurants downtown, is that D'Oro may be a great breakfast or lunch option for people who work downtown, but the biggest thing holding this restaurant back from attracting other patrons is the lack of available parking. Meter parking on the streets is extremely limited, especially though the week, and to park in a nearby garage for the hour I was here was more than $12, or more than the cost of my lunch itself. If the city of Miami truly wants to attract more businesses to the downtown area and they wish more people to patronize the businesses in that area, they really need to do something to improve the parking options. read more

I love real Italian places and this Italian cafe is no exception. They serve simple foods from prepared sandwiches of various sizes (even bite-size) to salads and pasta. Their largest variety of dishes are going to have to be the sandwiches - and I have to say they're good as they're concerned by the quality of their cheeses, meat cuts, and bread too. Even the mundane such as "mixed mushrooms" were tantalizing delicious! I've also come back often for their Italian-style coffee (regular and decaf). Even their macchiato was impeccable - a smooth and good-flavored coffee without any bitterness with excellent foam.
