    Shrimp Scampi Pizza
    Priestly C.

This is my second time trying their Shrimp Scampi Pizza. My co workers raved about how good it was, so I decided to order it from work. The first time around, I wasn't impressed at all. I decided to give it another try, and went there in person. You can't get a Shrimp Scampi single silce, so I got the Gamino size (6 slice pie). Don't know what happened the first time, but it was AMAZING. Loved it!

Visiting lifelong friends in The Boondocks lmao We ordered pizza from a pizza restaurant In Wallkill and enjoyed Buffalo Wings with an unusually tasty creamy sauce which certainly outdoes Amy Hooters. Great robust chicken wings & drumsticks tenderly cooked. The best part is the celery was separately packed in foil and not tucked inside causing it to get wilted. The Stromboli that could shoe an elephant was nicely cooked and not burned. The cheese wasn't too stringy but firm with very flavorful sauce on the side. The pizza was perfectly cooked and not too runny from greasy moot's most shops use. The sauce had plenty of tomatoey flavor as well as a perfectly cook crust. Rob having a strikingly strong resemblance to The Big Show MME Wrestler LOL, is also a local Volunteer Fire Fighter serving his community. I would strongly recommend patronizing this restaurant to return the support Rob shows his community.

I am from Texas visiting family and tried this place the first time. Wow! Food was incredible and the staff was very friendly when they delivered to my family's home. I ordered a second time and it did not disappoint! The Shrimp scampi pizza really surprised us. Everything was delish! I will definitely be getting my fill before I leave back home!

I'm really only giving this place one star because pizza can never be bad enough to earn zero. I called for pizza and wings to pickup and was told they were out of wings. So I asked for chicken fingers which they were also apparently out of. I should have just assumed they were out of pizza too and left it at that. The pizza was flat out burnt. I couldn't believe they would even serve that, they should be ashamed. All the pizza places in Pine Bush and Walden make better pizza, I can't believe people actually think this is the best around. Hardly any sauce, skimped on the cheese and flavorless dough- except the crunchy black bottom. I don't think that just being burnt was the only problem either, some spots were just brown and those were also devoid of taste. I was looking forward to this place because of the Yelp! reviews, but was sadly disappointed. *Just FYI, the picture doesn't really do justice for the color. Also, a TripAdvisor review confirms their notorious pattern for burnt pies.

The chicken parmesan was excellent, but the lasagna was Out of this World amazing, the best I've ever had. Pasta was so silky tasting, light & airy. Perfect. The portion size was also ginormous, but I managed to finish it all ! Loved it. Marinara sauce was also spot on. The bread that came to the table before our meals was superb, and my wife had a sangria with her meal which she enjoyed very much. Came back a few nights later, but this time we had to do a takeout order (our dog had been injured at the farm the day before and we did not want to leave her at the airbnb by herself). So I picked up two entrees -- a shrimp fettuccine alfredo and a salmon dinner. The salmon was first-rate, but the shrimp fettuccine alfredo was clearly the winner tonight, it was fantastic. We appreciate that they did not go overboard with the alfredo sauce (like so many restaurants do), the chef clearly knows how to prepare Italian dishes. We also had a slice of cheesecake and a tiramisu for dessert -- both were stellar, we loved them ! Lombardi's Restaurant in Gardiner, NY is Top Notch in my book. The staff are very friendly & attentive, especially David, he was extremely personable and funny. We live over two hours away in Connecticut, but we plan to come back to Lombardi's in the near future, that's how much we enjoyed our dining experiences there.

The crust had that solid crisp with a good chew, the sauce actually tasted balanced instead of sugary, and the portions came out like they wanted you leaving full. Brooklyn-style pie vibes with classic Italian-American dishes that hit the spot after a long day. The Beast says the real win here is consistency -- clean place, friendly staff, and service that feels local instead of robotic. You can tell they care about what's coming out of the kitchen. Garlic knots disappeared fast, pasta portions were hefty, and the pizza held up slice after slice. Atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming without trying too hard. Good family dinner spot, easy casual date night, or just a solid "I need good Italian food now" move. Not trying to be ultra high-end fine dining -- just quality comfort food done right. Pizza Beast Rating: 8.6/10 "Amalfi came through with crispy crust, solid sauce, and that neighborhood Italian feel that keeps you coming back."

Loved ordering the mix and match flight where we got to taste the sangrias and wines. ALERT: NO MORE $3 MARTINIS!!!!!!…read more So I definitely was one of the people who let the cat out of the bag on this one! I hate gate keeping and I know myself, my husband, and many of my friends supported this place. I mean seriously $3 martini night was something that made this place a gem but without it I honestly don't see us coming back! This place truly has sooooo much potential. I wish I could help them with some ideas to really make this restaurant the spot to be. I can tell you now though charging $19 for a martini is not it!! Also I tried their new banana bread martini and it wasn't great. Which makes it worst that it's so much more money. I mean I am truly a nobody but I have a list of ideas for them if they ever want to know because this place truly has great bones. Here's one for free. On one of your lowest sale nights I'm assuming Thursday because that's when you had your $3 special, why not offer girl dinner? A $25 special that includes two basic flavored martinis and French fries. For $30 include two Caesar or house salads. I gaurantee people with order that. And you can't tell me you are getting hit too hard for food cost for salad and fries? But also you gotta change your decor up a bit. Look at the surrounding restaurants that are charging that much for a martini and the vibe of the place. If I'm going to spend bougie money I want to feel like I'm in a bougie spot!

We were not disappointed. We were seated promptly by our lovely hostess, and Shaun immediately came over to recite specials and to take our orders. He was attentive and we knew we were in good hands! We started with the Dr. Fox Cocktail: Angostura bitters, Bulleit Rye, Apple Liqueur, Dry Curacao, and Sweet Vermouth, which was perfect. It was accompanied by a hummus trio to spread on the bread. There was also a delicious foccacio. Next we were served a perfect salad, delicately dressed, and what made the salad so delightful was that the lettuce was torn into manageable pieces. A pet peeve of mine is large lettuce leaves that are difficult to wrangle, and this was not the case here. There were also tiny bits of cauliflower that gave the salad a nice texture and crunch.  I had the Stuffed Artichoke and my husband had Shrimp Gamberi on an Arugula salad. Both were substantial and beautifully seasoned. We had two glasses of an Argentine Tomero Malbec. It was a generous pour. For the main course, I had Polla al Limone (Lemon Chicken) over spinach. A simple dish done well. My husband had the Halibut special, a classic Mediterranean baked halibut with tomatoes, capers, and olives. So good that he finished it all...a rarity for him. (The halibut was pricey and it would be appreciated if the price was mentioned when the specials were gone over. Perhaps we should have asked.) We finished with a Sorbetto al Lampone, a tart raspberry sorbet in a dark chocolate shell and sliced.  And as we left, our sweet hostess brought over Lucianno, the most adorable puppy, to send us off with puppy kisses! We definitely will be back...especially for the wild boar ragu over pappadelles. One nitpicking observation. The entrance to the restaurant was a tad shabby. We mistook it for the service entrance. It needs to be spruced up to match the superb food inside!

Usually I like to pick what dishes are considered popular on Beli but I really wanted to try them, they're just too hot and not very satisfying to kick off your palate. The bread was okay, a little (very) messy and the hummus trio was cute but not necessary or particularly tasty. The pollo al limone and gamberoni e fagioli were good, a little dry but not a deal breaker. Service was nice, the place is pretty casual so I would recommend for a regular casual date night, it's not fine dining--the experience was nice but not luxurious. What I mean is it's cozy and inviting, not elegant and stuffy. Cheers!

My friend placed a pickup order and I brought home the special - Deal 2 (large pizza, baked ziti, large salad, garlic bread) plus a side of calamari to split. Asked around, got agreement to add sausage and eggplant toppings, plus we spiced it up (hot pepper, garlic, touch of pepper) before we left. Pizza: Thin crust, I could have eaten more than the 2.7 slices as we split the pie evenly among three people. Toppings are generous and taste great. Good sauce and the right balance with cheese. Baked ziti: Poor friends usually have this saved for next day. With me around, it wasn't gonna last. I indulged in this cheesy pasta goodness. Salad: OK, it's salad. We added balsamic vinagrette dressing but didn't check when we left and got a second French dressing instead. That's about the only flaw for Franco's, and that happens anywhere. Garlic bread came with some marinara. Drenched in sauce but still had a little crispness to it. If I wanted it extra crispy I could have pan-seared it, but at least it wasn't droopy. Calamari: Quite good. It had gotten a little cold by the time I was able to dive in, but if I ordered that fresh at the restaurant I bet it would be amazing hot out of the oven. For the short time I was inside, I looked around and it's a nice casual pizza joint, plenty of room to sit around, plenty of dine-ins, and a second room behind. So Franco's is a Walden joint I will recommend to all in town.
