Picked up a burger and fries yesterday. The fries were good- fresh, well-seasoned, and a good portion. The burger sucked. It was a definitely a lot of food, but there was not a lot of flavor. Got a burger with bacon, mushroom, and cheese and the whole burger tasted like nothing at all. Very dry, even after I added some condiments at home. I didn't taste the pizza, but I took a look at the pies they had at the front from which you can buy a slice, and they looked very old. This is my second time trying their Shrimp Scampi Pizza. My co workers raved about how good it was, so I decided to order it from work. The first time around, I wasn't impressed at all. I decided to give it another try, and went there in person. You can't get a Shrimp Scampi single silce, so I got the Gamino size (6 slice pie). Yesterday my family and I ordered 3 subs for takeout at the Wallkill location. My order was the so called Pasquale's special, for $14.99. This is just for a sandwich mind you, no side, not even a pickle. The "special" is: grilled chicken breast, roasted red pepper, mozzarella cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Sounds tasty, right? Wrong! We were taking our sandwiches to the park so by the time I opened mine, I was too far away, and frankly, too hungry to return it and ask for a refund. To say this sandwich was a disappointment is an understatement!!! It was just awful!! Three quarters of it consisted of giant chunks of iceberg lettuce, wilted because this is a hot sub, my bad on that. I should have asked for the lettuce on the side so it wouldn't have been so gross! But then again, without all that lettuce there would have been next to nothing on the sandwich! The over toasted roll was likely stale before it was burned to a crisp, and the fact that there was no mayo, oil and vinegar or anything to add moisture to it, made it that much worse! The chicken breast was maybe half an inch thick and completely dried out; like chewing on a bland, unseasoned piece of jerky! The tomatoes had probably been cut days before, or were just starting to turn, because the one slice I tried was so sour I spit it right back out. IF there were 4 minuscule pieces of roasted red pepper on this sandwich it was a miracle! TBT, those tiny pepper pieces were the best part of the sandwich! To top all of this off, there wasn't enough mozzarella cheese on it to feed a mouse! $14.99+ tax I paid for this disgusting meal. I threw the majority of it out because it was essentially inedible. Sadly, I think we will be taking a break from this restaurant for a while. It's terribly over priced and to add insult to injury, they tack on an additional 4% if you use a credit OR a debit card! I spent $50 on 3 sandwiches and 3 over priced cold drinks from their cooler; not including the tip I put in their jar. Thanks but no thanks! read more

Visiting lifelong friends in The Boondocks lmao We ordered pizza from a pizza restaurant In Wallkill and enjoyed Buffalo Wings with an unusually tasty creamy sauce which certainly outdoes Amy Hooters. Great robust chicken wings & drumsticks tenderly cooked. The best part is the celery was separately packed in foil and not tucked inside causing it to get wilted. The Stromboli that could shoe an elephant was nicely cooked and not burned. The cheese wasn't too stringy but firm with very flavorful sauce on the side. The pizza was perfectly cooked and not too runny from greasy moot's most shops use. The sauce had plenty of tomatoey flavor as well as a perfectly cook crust. Rob having a strikingly strong resemblance to The Big Show MME Wrestler LOL, is also a local Volunteer Fire Fighter serving his community. My friends and I often do group orders for lunch and started using Rob's earlier this year because the delivery times are fast and the pizza generally tastes pretty good. I previously posted a review of 5 stars. However... BEWARE... They are charging steep hidden fees, including a $1.50 "cheese fee" and a $3 "delivery fee". Each item that has cheese (including pizza) has a hidden $1.50 added on. The owner claims the price of cheese has gone up and he doesn't want to increase how much he charges. But adding a hidden fee of $1.50 is increasing the cost, only it's a more manipulative way of doing it. They also charge a $3 fee for delivery, regardless of the size of the order. This is in addition to the tip for the delivery person. A few days ago, it cost us $33 to get one large pie and one side order of french fries - not including the tip. No drinks, nothing. Just a pizza and fries - $33. I'm done with this place. I don't care how good the pizza is. $33 for pizza and fries, I could go somewhere and get a whole steak dinner for that price. read more

I'm really only giving this place one star because pizza can never be bad enough to earn zero. I called for pizza and wings to pickup and was told they were out of wings. So I asked for chicken fingers which they were also apparently out of. I should have just assumed they were out of pizza too and left it at that. The pizza was flat out burnt. I couldn't believe they would even serve that, they should be ashamed. All the pizza places in Pine Bush and Walden make better pizza, I can't believe people actually think this is the best around. Hardly any sauce, skimped on the cheese and flavorless dough- except the crunchy black bottom. I don't think that just being burnt was the only problem either, some spots were just brown and those were also devoid of taste. I was looking forward to this place because of the Yelp! reviews, but was sadly disappointed. *Just FYI, the picture doesn't really do justice for the color. I ordered a Bacon cheeseburger deluxe because I was cheap and didn't want to spend 15 on Tosco's pizza down the road. The cheeseburger was extremely plain no taste to the meat. The only thing that was really tasty was the fries. Besides that one worker was cutting chicken with no gloves while using a rag to wipe the counter off then same rag used to wipe the knife he was using off, same rag to wipe the cutting board he used, then used it to wipe something off the metal table rack where I'm assuming is where the cut veggies and products are. Visiting Wallkill from the South we wanted really good Italian food. We saw Rob's and decided to give it a try. Are we glad we did! The Chicken Parm, Lasagne and Spaghetti with meat sauces was excellent. The portions were huge. We returned the next day for pizza and it, too, was authentic and very good. read more

Ate in at the suggestion of my brother in-law, who told us their garlic knots were the bomb. They are, by the way. Super friendly service. Super delish pizza. It was cooked perfectly and it was a plus that garlic bread and salad came with it. But I do not recommend the chicken parm. It was too salty. The salad had way too much dressing. So it's best to request for the dressing on the side. - only 20 minutes This is a small town and they are the only restaurant here. If I could give a negative star I definitely would. We've lived in the area our entire lives and NEVER ordered food from this place before, now I realize we should've never started. We called and ordered a large pie, wings, and a meatball parm sub for delivery. We had a $15.99 coupon for the pizza and wings and the sub was $7.25. My wife asked the price and was told $31. We asked them to check again and we got a new price of $25. Upon delivery the driver told us the price was now $28. I asked him why it was so high and he said he has no idea. We were told delivery was an extra three dollars. We asked where that was written on the menu and we were informed that it wasn't, but they've been doing it for years and that's just the way it was. Upon opening our disgusting and highly disappointing food we found the wings with an indistinguishable amount of sauce (served with Italian dressing!), and the meatball parm sub had no sauce at all!!! Moved to Wallkill a bit over a year ago and tried Rob's pizza for the first time a week ago and, it simply wasn't any good. I ordered three slices, ate half of one and couldn't eat any more. I ended up throwing the leftover two and a half slices out. The sauce tasted odd, there wasn't much cheese and the crust was lackluster. I also ordered a chicken parm sandwich for later and only ate half of it because it too had an odd taste to it and just wasn't good. Good food, if you want to go on a forced crash diet. Counter girl was rude as hell. Asked me what I ordered, I told her she rolled her eyes and walked away. She walked back to the rack and proceeds to look at the rack for my order . A few minutes later she comes back up and begins asking others what their there for. Finally after 10 minutes of standing there the man making the pizzas asked me what I was there for walked back and came back to the counter 30 seconds later with my order. I have given this location a few tries. Very hit or miss and not consistent. I ordered spinach knots, they were served to me completely uncooked in the middle. I am not exaggerating when I say the middle was raw uncooked dough. The worst part is, the people I was with had already received their food. Every time I went it was something different. I would normally order delivery because I was always busy and it would take upwards of 45 minutes and I literally live only around the block. I get it, I could walk and be there in a minute, but I always had things to do, otherwise I'd be cooking myself. One time I went in there and ordered and that went fine, but 5 minutes after I had gotten there, some friends of Rob's had walked in, went BEHIND the counter, then went on to sit their very young child on the surface where they prepared their food to check the child's diaper. I was absolutely mortified. And no one saw an issue with this. That was so unbelievable in my mind. Went to this place for the first time and the experience wasn't that great, first of all they don't know how to take orders properly, and they seem to get annoyed when asked a question about what they serve and prices. I received a card in the mail from them offering a free large pie that had a expiration date on it so when I went for the large pie they gave me a medium pie and said it was a old card sent out that they was now offering a medium size pie so they didn't honor their own advertisement. I took the pie and placed a 50.00 order with that. The pizza didn't have much cheese on it and the wings didn't taste that great. Later on went back for a beef patty with and a slice of pizza, they just put the slice and beef patty in a bag together and didn't put aluminum around the patty. The patty tasted old and had a after taste to it, they also seem not to like minorities. I will not be coming here again I don't know how they stay in business with such bad service read more

Wow.. A lot of crazy reviews for Rob's. He's got mostly good reviews on other sites. Firstly, I knew about the $3 delivery fee before I ever called them for an order, I don't remember where but it was listed on the menu or the website or both. Big deal. No one likes a delivery fee, but that's becoming the norm these days. Someone's gotta pay the delivery guy, might as well be the people who order DELIVERY. Or should he jack up the price of everything in the store to cover it? Rob's pizzas are smaller than I'm used to, coming from Queens, but there's something uniquely Italian about them. They have more of a homemade design and feel.. I can't put my finger on it, but from the way he cuts the toppings to the way the crust is made... it reminds me a lot more of my grandmother's. It's not a gargantuan size pizza, but it's good enough. The sauce is my personal favorite in the area. No one has a better sauce on their pie. They might offer bigger, and they might have more on-the-menu "specialty" pies... but their sauce can't compete. Let's talk catering. Rob's got some of the best prices (by far) for his catering dishes. I wasn't sure who I wanted to cater my son's baptism party....I shopped around... Rob had the best price, and knowing he made my favorite sauce, that's where I went... and I couldn't have been happier. He offered to either stay late on Saturday or come in early on Sunday to make everything in time for my event. (Who does that? --and I'm barely a "regular" -- avoiding carbs and all that). I needed it all by noon and the delivery was there 5 minutes before. My guests devoured the food (mostly people from NYC and LI), and I don't remember if I got to taste any of it, but I did get a lot of compliments! The catering dishes were supposed to be a hold-over until I could cook the dishes I had prepared the day before.. The guests stuffed themselves on Rob's food and they barely touched mine! (Which is fine, I didn't need to make dinner the next week). I'll come back again and again. I wish I could support this local business more often, but it'll make me fat! read more

BAD VIBES My family and I would always stop at Rob's after riding the rail trail in Wallkill. Yesterday 4/23/16 my son & I had a ride and stopped in and took a seat at a booth. The place was almost empty, 2 customers & at least 3 people working that we saw. We sat at a booth and asked for water while we looked over the menu. We waited 5, then 10 then 15 minutes. No water, no waitress, no comment. My son & I started to get that uncomfortable feeling you sometimes get when you find yourself in a place that you thought you know then realized you really didn't know as well as you thought. Let me now add that my son & I are black & my wife is white. I cannot say for certain that that has anything to do with what happened but, as 2 customers being ignored in an empty restaurant; not even getting glasses of water, they gave us alot of time to wonder what was going on. For those of you who might say, "well why not just go to the counter and ask someone what's the delay".
