We ordered pick up, food was ready on time. Pizza crust is thinner and crispy which is exactly the way I like it! Good sauce, plenty of cheese. The order of wings is 12 which is 2-4 more than most places offer. The mild sauce was good, wings were crispy, no flabby skin!! The menu is extensive, lots to choose from. I was a little surprised at the price - 2 personal pizzas and order of wings was $52. But, I understand the price of everything is going up. I'm looking forward to trying more items on their menu. read more

We bought a house 5 mins up the road about two years ago and today was the first day we tried here and I'm sorry we didn't sooner! We're originally from Long Island so we are pretty judgmental about pizza anywhere else. The crust at Nicks actually has flavor, and the crust stays crispy as it cools. I had a buffalo ckn slice and a Sicilian, husband got a buffalo ckn slice and a pepperoni slice. The buffalo ckn actually had a little kick unlike most pizzerias I've been to in the Hudson Vally. The sauce and cheese on the Sicilian tasted really good and crust had the perfect crunch, not undercooked in the middle of the slice like I've see a million times. We didn't go to this place cause we rarely have cash on us and they're cash only. But they have an atm inside if you're gonna pick up and I'm just gonna make sure I keep some cash around for delivery. Idk if they deliver.. I'll have to look. But they 100% have a new customer. I've seen a few comments about being pricey. Everywhere is expensive now though, and I rather spend more money on good pizza than get slightly cheaper bland pizza somewhere else. read more

Delicious tomato and basil (Margherita) pizza!! Can definitely taste the basil and tomato in every bite. And it was so good, we ordered it again the following night. I saw the other reviews about a mean older woman worker but she was super nice when I picked up my orders both time. AND she was kind enough to put in our pie order 10 minutes prior to what we believe was closing time. Only con was that the middle of our pies were soggy but still overall delicious!! I gave this place 4 stars nine years ago. I want to edit it and just say that the prices have skyrocketed and the service has crashed in that amount of time. With all of the good pizza joints within 15-20 mins of Otisville, you might consider going somewhere else where you will spend 1/4 less money and not get someone behind the counter who will ruin your experience by being completely miserable read more

Wow. The audacity of me. How dare I call a pizza delivery place and ask for a large pie to be ... delivered! While they technically offer delivery of their overpriced food, they strongly discourage it and make every excuse of why they can't deliver. I called during prime time and asked if they deliver. The abrasive lady on the phone said yes. After I ordered a large pizza (for a whopping $19), she told me they wouldn't be delivering my pizza because the delivery minimum is $20. Great, add a soda and make it $20. The next excuse was it'd take over an hour to deliver the pizza a block away - come pick it up instead, she said. I walked in and the lady appeared agitated that she had to get up and work. After paying, I said "thank you." No response. No "have a good day", "thank you." She seemed quite miserable. Three stars because the pizza was delicious and it was ready in 20 minutes as promised. I wouldn't risk eating inside. The counter was dirty and the place overall restaurant didn't look too clean. The prices are a little steep, but not horrible. Why offer delivery if you don't want to deliver? Why work someplace if you're miserable working there? read more

Wow! This place is killer and it's all about the crust. The flavor is so delightful and it's crispy just the right amount to a delicate crunch. I ordered the ricotta white pizza and I added tomatoes, basil, and garlic and it was amazingly delicious. My heart melted with the cheese and I am missing this place already! My friends said the pizza and other food is very good at Nick's, but, being a Pizza Snob ™, I had my doubts. When I finally got a chance to eat there, I saw they had eggplant parmigiana subs on the menu. The true test. You know how it is. Eggplant parm can be an ecstatic experience, done right. Yet it is easy, all too easy, to do it wrong. Wrong in rubbery, slimy hideous ways. (I shudder.) An Eggplant Parm Snob ™ is a Pizza Snob ™ with a chip on their shoulder. Nick's eggplant parm gets an A+ from me. The eggplant was thin cut, breaded and lightly fried to melt in your mouth tenderness. The tangy, fresh tomato sauce, melted cheese and crispy roll did justice to the eggplant. A beautiful, delicious thing. My friends had pizza, burgers and fries, which delighted them, too. Hands down the best pizza in the western half of Orange County if not the entire county. As you get further out into the country finding a place that still sells slices , but nicks has a good selection specialties slices. Where does really good tasty and authentic . While their crust is not as thin as true Neapolitan, the thickness is just right to support all the delicious toppings they put on things. The people are very friendly, and the place is small and cozy and fits perfectly with the town of Otisville. if you're heading up 209 leaving Port Jervis just make a right on 211 and as youre coming to Otisville this place will be on your right. If not for the open sign in the window you might mistakenly think they're closed, but it's worth stopping in. I've had several items on their menu including the pizza, calzones, cold and hot subs and wraps. Calzones are big and taste good but very expensive. Pizza is over priced and has sub par ingredients. The best item on the menu may be their vegetarian wrap. The subs lack quality and quantity of meat, bread isn't fresh, and are once again overly priced. Inside the establishment is beat up and needs a face lift. I have witnessed the employees argue twice when picking up my order. The bathroom is disgusting. With so few establishments to select from in Otisville, they will continue their mediocre and over priced menu. I'm a born-and-raised Brooklyn kid and this satisfies my pizza cravings (and can hang with the best slice joints in NYC). Yeah, a lot of people have called out that the owners are brash -- that's part of the charm. And, if you've never worked a hot pizza oven for 12 hr days, then you probably won't appreciate the saltiness of the counter staff. It's a family joint and at this caliber of food and taste, they're all too uncommon in the country. Great to see a place out here BRINGING IT with pizza and classic red sauce eats. The first time I ordered from Nick's I was very surprised by the size of the meals they were so large then when I tasted it I was amazed at how good it was. We ordered take out for four with calamari, Buffalo wings, and antipasto as appetizers and lasagna, eggplant parmesan, baked penni and sausage and peppers as dinner and cannoli for dessert. They are very rude. They advertised on a sign outside 2 slices and a soda for $4. When I ordered it, the guy working was very annoyed. I gave him a 5 and he didn't give me change. I said I thought the price was 4 and he got more annoyed. I told him keep the dollar but if he didn't want people to order this special then he should remove the sign. Two day later I noticed the sign still up outside. They are always nasty, I rather drive 20 minutes out of town and deal with people who ate nice. read more

At first we thought it was a good restaurant since we don't have many in Otisville that deliver. Delivery is ok. Their in person experience is horrible. They are rude, especially the lady that answers the phone. Their pizza is soggy, and lacks taste. The garlic knots are burned on top, and have very little garlic. The rude woman others describe in these reviews, practically growled at me when I asked for a menu. Then when I put it back, she said in a rude manner that only customers can use the bathroom. The first few times I got gluten free penne ala vodka and was amazed at how good the vodka sauce was- that's the only reason for the 2nd star in this review. The employees and owners are rude and brash. They make even the shortest interaction uncomfortable from a customer standpoint.. not the best small business mentality. Tonight I ordered a simple pasta and paid over $20 for a portion that's been decreasing over time. On top of that- their gluten free up charge is $4 dollars!!! That's an absurd amount! We were driving through the area and found Nick's, a pizza/Italian place open at 8pm, so we stopped in. The entire place consisted of a few booths and tables, a service counter, with pizza being made behind the counter and ceramic tile decorating the walls. The Kitchen is upsatirs. But the food is amazing. We started with a nice salad dressed with a vinegarette obviously made with decent olive oil. We shared a pizza with cheese and basil (Margarita) that had a thin crust with a slight crunch...perfect. In addition we had linguine with olive oil, fresh garlic, and broccoli that was fresh and divine. Service was friendly with Nick'S wife and son (and a friend) taking care of the customers.
