Siena's Torteria Pizzeria - Dry ass salad without dressing

Let's begin shall we?…read more April 17th I ordered a cranberry walnut salad and seltzer with delivery off the slice app. Salad arrives with no salad dressing or cranberries. I call and they say they can't do anything and if I can drive in to pick up the dressing and cranberries. So I say to myself ok "small business" it's a mistake don't worry I'll give them another shot. I was wrong. April 19th today I ordered a pasta dish. 2 seltzers, rice ball & a cranberry walnut salad. Again the salad has no dressing, the seltzers are missing and no rice ball. I call again now a-little more angry than last time. Request a refund. They tell me they can't do anything. To call the app and ask for a refund. I call the app to request a refund for the salad that has no dressing for a second time. And they only refund me for the missing dressing? Where they said they will give me a refund for the salad. Who eats salad without dressing? I do not recommend this place. I only recommend if you like eating dry salad without dressing.

The pizza was ice cold, it's 30 degrees outside and you just leave the pizza on the porch!?! Moving on to the beef patty, we all know these are pre-made, frozen, and pre-packaged, but this was definately old, freezer burned, and rock hard. Even my dog wouldn't eat it. Lastly, I should have known not to order the cannoli. It you can't reheat pre-packaged food, how would you know how to make an Italian dessert. Lesson Learned!

The chicken parmesan was excellent, but the lasagna was Out of this World amazing, the best I've ever had. Pasta was so silky tasting, light & airy. Perfect. The portion size was also ginormous, but I managed to finish it all ! Loved it. Marinara sauce was also spot on. The bread that came to the table before our meals was superb, and my wife had a sangria with her meal which she enjoyed very much. Came back a few nights later, but this time we had to do a takeout order (our dog had been injured at the farm the day before and we did not want to leave her at the airbnb by herself). So I picked up two entrees -- a shrimp fettuccine alfredo and a salmon dinner. The salmon was first-rate, but the shrimp fettuccine alfredo was clearly the winner tonight, it was fantastic. We appreciate that they did not go overboard with the alfredo sauce (like so many restaurants do), the chef clearly knows how to prepare Italian dishes. We also had a slice of cheesecake and a tiramisu for dessert -- both were stellar, we loved them ! Lombardi's Restaurant in Gardiner, NY is Top Notch in my book. The staff are very friendly & attentive, especially David, he was extremely personable and funny. We live over two hours away in Connecticut, but we plan to come back to Lombardi's in the near future, that's how much we enjoyed our dining experiences there.

From the moment you walk in, the aroma hits you: fresh dough, bubbling cheese, and that perfect touch of garlic in the air. The crew's friendly, the space is clean and welcoming, and the service feels genuinely local--like they actually care about the pie they're putting in your hands. The crust is perfection--crispy on the outside, soft and airy inside--while the sauce bursts with flavor, balanced and not overly sweet. The cheese stretch is textbook, and every topping feels thoughtfully placed, not just thrown on. You can taste the pride in every bite. This isn't just a pizza stop; it's a pizza experience. The Pizza Beast verdict: Montgomery's hidden gem--a must-try masterpiece, 9.4/10.

The wine selection is great and prices are great. They are still getting draft beer settled but they have a few options plus bottled beer. Our favorite pizza is to get 1/2 Crazy Chicken, 1/2 penne vodka...love that the pizza is so crispy. Last week we had 1/2 cheese and 1/2 meatball and it was amazing also. Can't go wrong here. Different from other pizzerias in the area.

The place has an old Italy feel. The place is of wood with old painting and decor. Upon seating, our waiter introduced himself and asked for our drink and let us know the specials. We weren't too hungry so just decided to get entrees, osso bucco with risotto & linguini with clams. The waiter brought bread and this amazing Pomodoro dip. It was delicious! It took a moment but the food came piping hot. The meat fell off the bone and the risotto was rich. Highly recommended. The linguini was good but felt like it needed salt, more garlic, and umami. But the service was wonderful and overall the food was delicious esp. for this region. Definitely coming back!

As far as the food there could be some improvements. The side salad was disappointing. Just lettuce and carrots...very bland and boring. The lettuce was wilted and warm. Ordered the veal marsala. Veal was chewy and had grissle. It also was in pieces not a nice cutlet. Very underwhelming. My date had the veal franchise and that was very good. Not a very good first impression. Maybe just an off night. Room for improvement especially relating to the service.
