    Great chicken parm, huge portion!

Great food with an old school Catskills vibe (if you were there in its hey day, you'll know what I mean)! Baked clams and chicken parm were great!

Needed dinner and we're visiting the nearby water park. It was the only restaurant open at 8pm. Wifey ordered the shrimp scampi, Nona ordered the chicken parm. lil man got spaghetti and meatball and his friend got linguini and butter. I got the shrimp and corn chowder. Everything was amazing. Wifey absolutely loved the shrimp scampi and the chowder was delish. Nona said the chicken parm tasted great as well. Service was super. Even though we came in at 8, the place closes at 9. Sat us right away and took our orders. Super attentive and gave us extra bread as well. Oh did I mention the dishes were like family style. Could have had 3 people eating from the scampi and parm each. Place was clean and brightly lit. Plenty of seating as well. If we are in the area, will definitely be back. Great food, great prices and great staff.

I'm new to monticello. This is the third pizza place I've tried in the area. It is by far the best pizza I've had outside of Long Island and in a long time and I will definitely be returning. Albella instantly just became my go-to pizza place - which is really saying something because I'm a bit of a pizza snob. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was extremely clean. Looks like it might be a great restaurant too!

Came upon this restaurant on yelp searching for an Italian place to eat near the hotel casino (resorts world Catskills) we were staying at. Sooo happy we decided to come eat here. The ambience is cozy, service super friendly and inviting, prices fantastic! The food portion is ginormous, and flavor on point! We had the burrata special for appetizer, chicken parmigiana with garlic and oil pasta, and chicken parmigiana and pasta in a vodka sauce. All amazing! Unfortunately we were too full for dessert but we will visit again and start with dessert the next time !

Visited last year and the food was great. Came back for another visit last night and it didn't disappoint, Service was great. Chicken ala Mia. (Pictured) Portion was big enough that we took home enough for two more meals!

Coming here is a staple for me now. Love to bring family or friends because the food is always great and service is very friendly! I like to try new things so I am constantly trying their specials and am always taking it to-go (huge portions). Elegant restaurant with a casual pizzeria side next door, both of which are delicious. This place really does it all.

This restaurant is up-class and elegant. The food is phenomenal, not only looks amazing but tastes amazing. The atmosphere was clean, quiet, and had very great service. I was greeted with a smile and seated immediately. They dropped off tasty bread while we waiting for our meal. I 100% recommend this restaurant, whether you're stopping by to grab a slice or sitting down for a full meal.

Wow. I've been visiting the Catskills for 25 years and this was never on my radar. The bread! The best ever. I could just come and have bread and wine. Comfy, family place with good food, big portions and good prices. Loved my spaghetti and clams. Took home enough for another dinner. Other yummies: lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs.

Upon entry, it was as though you walked in to a quaint Italian restaurant on a summer evening. We were immediately greeted and seated for a table of three. The place was quiet and feels private at your table. We were greeted with requests to see if we would like to place an order for drinks. There were a good selection of wines though we do not drink. Water, bread & an adorable mini charcuterie was placed on our table as we look over the menu. There were many options but haven't had good pasta in awhile I decided to order the seafood pasta while my siblings ordered linguini with clams & beef carpaccio (third person was not very hungry). While we sit and enjoy the free table tasting, we enjoyed the ambiance and conversation. Food was freshly prepared and quickly came to the table. All meals were asked if we would like fresh black pepper and grated cheese. Oh my! The pasta were perfect all dente with the sauce full of flavor and creamy that you just want the second bite, the third until you finish the full plate. I so wanted to try other dishes since I was utterly delighted. The table all had the sentiments. We all agree we must come back. The owner stopped by the table to greet us and gave us a little of his story as I was curious how he came to Catskills and open this wonderful place! All to summarize, the service was wonderful! Food delicious, great place to have for celebration and intimate for a date. I highly recommend this place! Definitely coming back!

Solaia was an excellent choice for dinner!…read more For starters, we had a shrimp & mango salad over a bed of arugul. Light, fresh and perfectly balanced with a touch of sweetness from the mango. We followed with seared sea scallops with a creamy white wine sauce. The slight acidity of the wine and rich buttery sauce paired perfectly to complement the sweet scallops. For my entree, I had a broiled branzino with grilled vegetables. The branzino was lightly seasoned and perfectly cooked, moist and flaky! We finished our dinner with classic tiramisu. Rich and creamy! Can't wait to go back for another meal!

Review of Ciao Bella…read more I've been to Ciao Bella before and usually played it safe with the filet mignon or something similar, but tonight I decided to be a little daring--I ordered the Chicken Martini. Let me tell you, I am extremely picky when it comes to food, and this dish absolutely blew me away. Hands down, it was the most flavorful chicken I have ever eaten in my life. You want to talk about flavor? This dish had flavor coming out of the chicken's chicken's kids! At my table, one friend ordered the Lobster Ravioli, and she couldn't stop raving about how amazing it was. Another went with the classic Filet Mignon, topped with Gorgonzola sauce--another absolute hit. The folks at Ciao Bella really know what they're doing. Between the delicious food, the inviting ambience, and the terrific staff, it's an all-around fantastic dining experience. Every dish we tried tonight was a winner. I can't recommend this place enough! gunny and Ricky and the rest of the staff are hands-down, amazing most professional people ever

All four of our party had only very good things to say about their meals. Capellini with arugula and shrimp special was excellent. Another of us had the cold seafood salad as dinner and thought it was excellent. Salted caramel ice cream was amazing. The only reason for not giving this 5 stars is that it's my first time here and I prefer to go several times before doing so.

The food was quite good and the portions were either reasonable or large. However, there are things that could be improved. The lighting at the table was inadequate, though other tables seemed to have better lighting. The little light on the table provides essentially no light and doesn't look attractive. Perhaps it should be removed or replaced. The recorded music wasn't great -- stuff from the 1970s. It's impossible to please everyone with music. At this fairly high price point the restaurant could consider not playing music at all. When we inquired about dessert, the three best options were sold out leaving two other options. We opted not to order dessert. The service was good. The restaurant is good but there are still ways it can improve.

Went to be seated almost sat us in the side entrance table. I asked for the window and he sat us there with no problem. I am convinced restaurants dont read requests on reservations. I thought maybe they would bring a dessert out for my wife or for us to share for our Anniversary, but nothing was mentioned...oh well. Started with figs wrapped in prosciutto and stuffed with marscapone and a raspberry sauce, nice app and cooked nicely. For dinner I ordered the bone in veal chop with asparagus and broiled potato. It was tasty and tender. Waiter asked what temperature I want the chop. I told him 145-150 degrees. He smirked and said medium? Who asks what temperature you want your meat cooked? I cook so I know the temp. Maybe next time ask how you like it cooked? He seemed annoyed and my wife did not mention this until we returned home. I just think he isn't set out for this type of job. I didn't realize how annoyed this made my wife (still left 20% tip, all on my wife I would have left 15% and I rarely do that). The Martini was very good. I am giving 3 stars due to this waiter. Food was a solid 4.5. Probably won't go out of the way to return here.

We were not disappointed. We were seated promptly by our lovely hostess, and Shaun immediately came over to recite specials and to take our orders. He was attentive and we knew we were in good hands! We started with the Dr. Fox Cocktail: Angostura bitters, Bulleit Rye, Apple Liqueur, Dry Curacao, and Sweet Vermouth, which was perfect. It was accompanied by a hummus trio to spread on the bread. There was also a delicious foccacio. Next we were served a perfect salad, delicately dressed, and what made the salad so delightful was that the lettuce was torn into manageable pieces. A pet peeve of mine is large lettuce leaves that are difficult to wrangle, and this was not the case here. There were also tiny bits of cauliflower that gave the salad a nice texture and crunch.  I had the Stuffed Artichoke and my husband had Shrimp Gamberi on an Arugula salad. Both were substantial and beautifully seasoned. We had two glasses of an Argentine Tomero Malbec. It was a generous pour. For the main course, I had Polla al Limone (Lemon Chicken) over spinach. A simple dish done well. My husband had the Halibut special, a classic Mediterranean baked halibut with tomatoes, capers, and olives. So good that he finished it all...a rarity for him. (The halibut was pricey and it would be appreciated if the price was mentioned when the specials were gone over. Perhaps we should have asked.) We finished with a Sorbetto al Lampone, a tart raspberry sorbet in a dark chocolate shell and sliced.  And as we left, our sweet hostess brought over Lucianno, the most adorable puppy, to send us off with puppy kisses! We definitely will be back...especially for the wild boar ragu over pappadelles. One nitpicking observation. The entrance to the restaurant was a tad shabby. We mistook it for the service entrance. It needs to be spruced up to match the superb food inside!

Ima keep ranting about this part of New York. This area really don't got a lot of good flavor. And…read morewhat I mean by that, like the cooking just ain't cooking for most of these spots. And idk what it is, it could be just the local folks don't got that much flavor in their taste buds and they the anti-City folk type so most of the businesses just lack in that field. With that said... this was a pretty decent Italian spot I will say WITH that consideration in mind. I did have the ravioli with slow cooked carne inside and that was delicious. My wife got the lasagna and... it was iiiitte. Family next to us were raving about it and like they were nice and we were being polite. But like let's be real here - it tasted like Stouffer's. Not that it's a knock, but at that point, you paying for the atmosphere. Which I will say the indoors is nice. You can have a nice date night or family outing here. There's a bar and plenty of parking. The service was on point and very accommodating with our new born. Who we were chopping it up with our waiter, and found out the owner's name is also the same as our kid so that was fun talking with them on. The garlic bread - idk if it's supposed to come cold, but it had like tomato sauce on it, it was like the complimentary bread with some extra shit on it. But I wasn't feeling that, but my inner Italian side just kept dipping it in my red, and it was all good. I'm glad we came here but probably won't be back if given the chance. But we looked around, and it seemed like to be the only viable Italian restaurant in the area so, if given under the same conditions, we would be back lol. I just went back and forth there like 3 times. Is that non-Ai enough of a review for you Yelp? After they flagged me for actually structuring and editing my reviews like in old school English class. Now yelp is promoting "Yelp Assistant" even though it's Ai. Gtfo here lmao
