Special: scallops, shrimp, and lump crab meat in a champagne sauce
Lisa C.

Can't say enough about our dinner tonight! We had 2 appetizers, 2 entrees from the regular menu and 2 entrees that were tonight's specials. Seriously unbelievably delicious! We ate the apps so fast I forgot to take photos! They were stuffed mushrooms and fried calamari. Very attentive owner, bartender, and server. Will most definitely be back! Update: Had the shrimp entree the next day (tons of leftovers) and that meal was also delicious!

Chicken sorrentina

It great Sunday stop just off rt 206 and it started by us meeting the owner at the door who greeted us as we entered. We enjoyed a wonderful salad starter as appertizer. Then we enjoy chicken Nonno and special pork chop parmigiana. The meal ended with perfect expresso and tartufo

Chicken special

I drive by this place everyday and it never had an establishment they took off. Definitely change my mind and will be a regular place to eat. I had the chicken special and it was delicious. Food is fresh and cooked with care. Open space so you can have a conversation with your table and be able to hear each other. So for everyone that drives by to hop on rt 560 on the way home and see this place, Please come back and bring the family. Let's keep the Italian restaurant striving!! Definitely a great place to eat.

The chicken special in a light cream sauce. Huge portion and delicious.

The Misses was craving some baked ziti and we were tired of pizza station (love you but need space)…read moreso I called Apulia and they said they've got a version in house of it and since I heard ownership is from Italy I figured it's gonna be solid. I got there and was waiting for the food and noticed this circular bread with roasted red peppers looking like a deep dish so I asked what it was and the girl behind the counter says it's their focaccia. I couldn't stop drooling and I asked how much and she said $18 and I literally said my wife would kill me if I dropped $20 on a piece of focaccia and I'm the only one eating it (#fata$$) so as I'm waiting for my food a dude comes up to me and introduces himself as the owner and tells them to get me one on the house. I told him I used to do pastry in the city and my wife and I did our baby moon in Italy and we chatted about his background and coming to the US. Cool dude taking care of customers very hospitable. The food was legit; sauce clearly homemade, cheese fresh and delish, but the focaccia was woah.... If they put tomato sauce and cheese on top I would argue it could be the best pizza in the area. I'm a bread guy but soaked in their house sauce with that fresh cheese and we're seriously talking portnoy would come up. I tried this place when they first opened and wrote it off but really pleased I went back for a second chance. Thanks for the great hospitality and food!!!

5 Stars What a…read morefantastic experience at Apulia Risto Pizza in Franklin, NJ! I visited for dinner around 6:30 PM and ordered the Chicken Piccata with extra vegetables. The portion size was enormous--more than enough food, and as you can see from the pictures, the plate was packed with perfectly cooked pasta, tender chicken, and fresh vegetables. Everything was absolutely delicious. The vegetables were cooked al dente, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the chicken was soft, flavorful, and prepared just right. You could tell the food was made fresh because it took a little time to come out, but it arrived hot and was well worth the wait. The service was exceptional. The ladies who took care of me were friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made the entire experience even better. For the price, I felt like I received five-star service and outstanding value. It's rare to find a restaurant that delivers both quality and generous portions at a reasonable price. Franklin may not be the first place people think of when choosing a restaurant, but Apulia Risto Pizza is truly a hidden gem. I enjoyed it so much that I would gladly make the drive again, even if it's an hour from my home. Highly recommended, and I will definitely be back!

There's plenty of indoor seating, and on nicer days you can also enjoy the outdoor seating. We started with a side of meatballs that were served piping hot with a delicious sauce. Honestly, the picture doesn't do them justice. They were fantastic. The Italian sub was also excellent--everything tasted fresh and it was served on a perfectly soft Italian roll. We also ordered a personal pepperoni pizza with a thin crust, and it was just as delicious. Our server was wonderful. She kept stopping by to refill our drinks, asked where we were visiting from, and was incredibly friendly and welcoming the entire time. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and felt very welcomed. We're so glad we stopped in! If you're in the area, I highly recommend giving Tony's a try!

The regular slices have no good qualities and the grandma pizza was worse than that. The garlic knots were borderline inedible. The regular pizza tasted stale as if the crust was baked yesterday, the grandma had a terrible tasting sauce with a little area of cheese that just didn't taste like mozz, the garlic knots are lathered in a garlic spread that kind of had a citrus note that just honestly made it taste rancid. I don't know if it was an off night or maybe new owners but I was very disappointed in going here after some good looking reviews on this place.

The staff is lovely, attentive without being overbearing, and helpful with recommendations or things to try. All the food is fantastic but what we got this night was: - Calamari (forgot to take a photo it was so good), which are large rings lightly battered accompanied by a gravy boat size holder of spicy marinara sauce. - Special: Homemade meat lasagna - MASSIVE and covered with lots of meat sauce. Unless you have a bottomless pit of a stomach, you will be taking half of this home. - Special: Chicken pecan - unique and fantastic. Two large pieces of chicken along with mashed potatoes and broccoli. - Chicken parm- the pro tip is to get it with vodka sauce instead of marinara. Trust me. You won't regret it. - Rigatoni Torino- their pink vodka sauce is the place to be so that with the peas and crumbled sausage is *chef's kiss*. As an FYI, they do have a gluten free pasta in case that's needed (it's only in penne form, if you care). Fantastic meal. Cherry on top that it's BYOB, so bring a couple of bottles and some friends, and you'll have a great night.

I ordered the chicken rollantini, and it was delicious- it was one of their specials. The ambiance was really nice, and the staff were super friendly. Even though we didn't have reservations, they accommodated us without any issue. It's basically the local Italian restaurant where it feels like everyone knows each other. Plenty of parking available, which is a plus. The only downside was exiting the parking lot onto Route 10 - it's a bit of a dangerous turn.
