Haven't been in the area for a while and though we would try an old favorite. We had the shrimp casa appetizer filet with mashed and the pork chop. The shrimp was presented with a light breading in a creamy garlic lemon sauce excellent choice to start. The filet was tender and cooked to the perfect temperature. My date ordered the pork chop and substituted the polenta with the mashed. The chop was tender and perfectly spiced. Certainly one of the best dinners I've had in the area. Early dinner on a Friday night! We got right in and we're seated in a cozy corner, which I appreciate because I have some hearing loss and the large open dining room would be tricky for me to have quiet conversation. We both ordered French onion soup which was delicious! Tons of cheese on top! We ordered from the regular dinner menu, salmon griglia and shrimp fra diavolo. Both were delicious and it was plenty of food. I didn't get pics of the soup, salad, or roasted potatoes but the dinners are here to see. We had a fairly new server, Reilly, who was awesome. We dined at Casa Bellisima on a Sunday for an early dinner. The restaurant was packed with large parties but we were still welcomed by the owner and her graciousness. We had another family member as our server who was wonderful. The restaurant has a warm ambiance. We shared the hot antipasto to start. Their wine list is not extensive but we did find a good Sauvignon Blanc. Entrees: Filet of flounder with mushroom risotto Chicken Scarpariello Shrimp special Can't forget to mention their homemade biscotti. Delicious! I was excited to find an Italian restaurant with a beautiful outdoor dining set up out in the suburbs of New Jersey, but I was disappointed in the lack of flavor in my dish. I ordered the linguini in clam sauce and it tasted like it lacked all the ingredients except for the linguini and canned clams. The rigatoni bolognese was decent but nothing out of the ordinary. This had a lot more flavor than the linguini. One thing I did enjoy were the tomatoes that came with the bruschetta to snack on. The dessert I tried was also a heartbreak as I love napoleon cakes. Unfortunately it tasted completely out of a box and refrigerated for a long time. For the prices, the experience was not up to par. read more

Very disappointed. Been here many times. Tonight not good. My wife ordered pasta with broccoli rabe with crumbled sausage. She received two pieces of broccoli rabe and sliced sausage. My veal chop was literally raw and tough. Waitress was shocked when I showed her. I had a second come out and was cooked but very tough....So much so that another patron came over and asked if I was having trouble cutting the chop because he had his eye on it. This place is a joke. The food is flavorless and the sauces are watery. The pasta is over cooked into mush and it seemed like the sauces are watered down to stretch the inventory. The mixed drinks didn't have enough liquor in them and the wines had cork in them and tasted like they were swapped for a 2 buck chuck from Trader Joe's. Last May 31st, we had the rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding at Casa Bellisima with 50 people in attendance. First shock was to see another wedding party (much smaller but still...) in the same room!!!! Of course the noise was unbearable, nobody could hold a conversation, and the wedding speeches were totally lost. Our dinner started at 6pm and they were so slow bringing food (kitchen and servers were totally overwhelmed) that just at 9 pm they brought the main dish. Bride and groom had to leave at that time for Welcome Drinks at another venue, and the rest of us didn't know what to do. People were starving from long trips from home. Servers were trying their best but obviously it was an unacceptable management mistake to try to fit so many people (they were sitting other guests in the other rooms) to make as much money possible. Finally, we all left without even finishing the main dish or deserts. Major management screw up! In summary: a total disaster. I have no comments on the food (irrelevant at that point), Casa Bellisima ruined the night for everybody for their greediness. Advice: Don't even consider this place for a party read more

If you want to waste your money on food that has no flavor, then this is a place to be the stuffed mushrooms were extremely bland. My wife ordered two meals that had to go back because they had no flavor. We make them better at home. I needed a microscope to see the chicken on my plate. I ordered the chicken Colombo, I asked for it to be over pasta and I got pasta on the side with a marinara sauce however, they took my wife's meals meals off the check, but still charged me for the potatoes that she did not eat which was the side can you believe that waste of a drive waste of money won't be back we stopped at McDonald's on the way home read more

First time here the drinks were good Bartender was OK server was OK the food was bland and terrible. We had stuffed mushrooms which had no flavor three mushrooms for $14. I ordered shrimp franchise that the chef said he could make it was fried shrimp on top of some bland Frances sauce, had to return it , then we got the chicken marsala and replace of that didn't taste like marsala sauce at all. I figured if I'm paying dine in price for take out at least I will get a generous amount of food for the money... Nope. $80 later (I even tipped them) when I came home and unpacked our to dinner I realized how stingy they were. The portions were literally one forth of the size they serve. Dina, Alma, Katie and Melissa to name a few, took such great care of us. We had wonderful "al dente" fettuccine Alfredo, which is hard to find pasta done nicely. I had a great lemon drop martini, chicken saltimboca, we had the pork chop rollatini, homemade ceasar with thin Parma reggiano slices, fresh crusty bread and then chocolate chip bourbon sauced bread pudding and creme brulee. The genuine service and hospitality made the meal so special. Their hearts go into the experience. The bill was reasonable for all we ate and the portions were substantial. Last minute family outing to one of our favorite local restaurants. Food is always delicious. The staff here is great. Always taking that extra minute to talk with us about our day/week/holiday. They dote over my daughter and have since she was an infant. We had Kim as our waitress tonight. She was terrific! I had the shrimp bisque and chicken Casa Bellisima with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. Can't wait to have my leftovers tomorrow. We've been going here since it opened at least 4 times a year. Since Covid we've been there twice and both times we were very disappointed. Though I hate being rushed during dinner, I also don't like being ignored. Dinner from start to finish took 3 hours, the food was mediocre at best, and the prices have increased tremendously. I had the Seafood Malafemina which had no taste, barely any seafood, and the pasta was mushy. We watched our waitress talk to another table for 20 minutes while we sat waiting to order dessert. We flagged another waitress who took our dessert and coffee order and served it. This place is terrible. Food is drenched in sauce, the best part of the meal was the steamed veggies because they didn't ruin it with some half-cocked attempt at a wine sauce. Lukewarm shrimp cocktail and a seafood salad that was calamari and scunguili from a can. The chef is clearly incompetent. The service was atrocious, slow and inattentive. And the restaurant was empty on a Friday night. It took the waitress about 35 minutes to take our order and she never returned for a second drink.
