We were famished after a long hike so we pulled into the first decently reviewed place we came to, and almost turned back around when we saw the outside, but I'm so glad we didn't! This place is in a strip mall and the menu posted in the window was small and kind of random, but since we were starving we went in anyway. The inside was totally different than what I expected. This is a cute little family owned place with just a few tables, very causal, but also very clean and welcoming. Exactly what you'd hope for in an authentic Italian mom and pop stop. Turns out menu outside was just the specials, the full menu is HUGE. They have everything from upscale pasta dishes to sandwiches. I think even the biggest or pickiest groups would find something worth loving here. I was overwhelmed by all the choices but our server was incredibly helpful. She made several great suggestions, and told us details about preparation and serving sizes. We ended up ordering a rice ball and a series sandwich (like a chicken park but in a lighter sauce), both of which were massive and even with two people barely finished them. Both items were delicious, the bread seemed fresh, all warm and crunchy, while the rice ball was perfectly seasoned and flavorful. I can't imagine another time we'll be lost and hungry in this part of the world, but I pinned this little gem of a restaurant on my map so that if I'm passing through again I will remember to stop here! read more

I will start off by saying we usually love this place. really good dinners. This review is for there parm sandwiches. First the slice up the meat not full pieces. I ordered a veal parm. Had almost no veal in it. For that I will not go there for there parm sandwiches. I will keep ordering dinners there though. Another place we love!!! Great calzones, salad, pizza, wings!!!! Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While we're in this "pandemic/no indoor dining" situation, my wife and I have been trying to order from as many local businesses as possible. Last Friday, we got takeout from La Forchetta for the first time. We ordered a large cheese pie, half a dozen garlic knots, and a side Caesar salad. Everything was very good! My only issue was that for a large pie, it was smaller than usual. The side salad was also very small, I should have just ordered a regular salad. The garlic knots were the opposite... they were huge and delicious! Bonus is that I found out that they deliver to my town. I'll keep them in my takeout rotation! read more

Pizza is great, tastes really good, and there are a variety of toppings and pizza flavor to chose from. In addition, La Forchetta serves sandwiches, subs, rice balls, and delicious garlic knots. My favorite thing is that sometimes have chicken or beef empanadas. Service is really great considering this is a pizzeria. If you stay for dinner, they will serve well and be attentive to your needs. The servers are super friendly. Most of the staff is bilingual and speak Spanish too. Wow! We just ordered lunch from where I work and I am blown away! I ordered The Shield sandwich, breaded eggplant, bruschetta, mozzarella, roasted red peppers, all the ingredients were fresh, so tasty and the bread tasted like it was just made from a brick oven. One of the best sandwiches I have ever had. My friends had the buffalo chicken salad and the chefs salad, all fantastic. I cannot wait to order here again! read more

This pizzeria is truly fantastic. It's my go to spot for when I'm feeling the urge for Italian food. I have tried so many things on the menu (it's kind of embarrassing how many times I've been here!), including garlic knots, mozzarella sticks, Caprese pizza, Margherita pizza, chocolate mousse cake, fries, etc! EVERYTHING is delicious. You really can't go wrong here. Whenever I have guests over from out of state who want local "New Jersey" food, I take them here. It's close by and very reasonably priced. I've never been to a place that is sooooo cheap with their ketchup packets. Every time I ask for extra ketchup the mother and son give you a dirty look. I was a great customer. 2 to 3 times a week. I was really excited to try this place and I just moved into the area but was a little disappointed with the Eggplant Parmigiana dinner. It didn't seem like the eggplant was breaded, and if it was, it was a very very thin layer. I also don't think it was made with ricotta cheese since there was a thick layer of cheese on top. Although I live In Wharton I've never gotten around to try this restaurant until today. There were 5 of us and we were all pleased with our meals to say the least. First, the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. For appetizers we ordered garlic bread, fried calamari, and some buffalo wings. All the starters were fresh and very flavorful. For lunch two of the guests had special salads, another a meatball parm sandwich, another a traditional Philly cheesesteak sandwich, and as for myself I had one of their gourmet sandwiches - 'The Godfather'. We had the most wonderful meal delivered today as an anniversary surprise, and the food was phenomenal. I had a ziti in bolognese sauce that was fantastic. A new thing that we tried was penne with eggplant and mozzarella. I never knew eggplant could be so tasty, and will most definitely order this again. A special treat was a cheesy garlic bread. Lots and lots of cheese and perfectly done. The side salads were very fresh and cold, as they should be, and the balsamic dressing was high quality. Dessert was a tiramisu. Creamy, fresh and perfect with a ripe, sweet strawberry as a pretty touch. We have had pizza many times from here, and it is always great as well. They have seating inside if you prefer to eat there, but definitely give this place a try if you haven't already. 2019- I have to say again that the food here is wonderful. Just moved to Wharton and started ordering delivery from them. Gentleman who took the order on the phone was friendly, helpful, and patient. Not in a rush to get your off and you off the phone like most places. Everything I have tried from here has been great, but this Rasberry bomb dessert was definitely the best part. Ordered delivery since I was in Wharton,NJ. Ordered eggplant parm, chicken with spinach, calamari, bruschetta, chicken with salad, and cheese pizza. Pizza was a lot smaller than I thought it would be when I ordered through yelp. Calamari was surprisingly good and soft-not chewy at all. The chicken with fontina cheese and spinach with penne had a lemony taste to it. Chicken fingers and fries were good- although the breading on the fingers was a bit hard....
