Ham and goat cheese bowl
Michael J.

After four days in Paris this has definitely been our favorite meal so far. Although the menu is very small, all of the items we tried had an excellent combination of flavors. For our entrees we had the Chard "bowl" and the ham and goat cheese "bowl". If traditional French food isn't your thing or you are just in the mood for a change of pace, I definitely recommend a visit to Pascade. FYI, the "bowl" is made out of something like a sweet croissant bread.

When I say I had the best meal of my life here I say that without hesitation. This hidden little gem was as always decided upon according to Yelp reviews. Since the boy and I had no idea where we were we went here because it was the best rated places closest to where we were. Took a second to find the storefront but once we did it was the coolest thing ever. We approached the door and it slid open like in an old Star Trek movie (showing my age, lol)! Once inside we were greeted to a modern space made comfortable by all the wood. It was an off time for Parisians to eat so the place was not crowded at all. There were a few patrons inside but we were able to get a seat immediately. The waiter was a handsome black man that spoke English very well. He was helpful with the wine selection and offered a few choices for our meal. He gave us a few moments and came back for our order. On his recommendation I selected the Caïus-Bonus - Quinoa, melon, amandes, petit pois, brocolis, radis, fruit de la passion, citron au sel not know what it was but I loved anything with quinoa and radishes The waiter recommended the best white wine to go with our dish and he was off to the kitchen. He was back really quickly with the wine and it was delicious. I can't recall the name of it but who cares right, I WAS IN PARIS lol! Decided to take the boy to the restroom before our food came and when we came out we were hit with a smell of heaven. We sat at out table and I couldn't resist. I asked another gentleman working there if he could tell me what it was I was smelling and he said, "That is your food" I was overwhelmed and could not wait for it to arrive. When it did I was blown away. It was a perfectly composed salad in the best tasting bread bowl you have ever seen. What was the smell you are wondering...it was the brown bread smothered in BUTTER AND SUGAR!!! After taking a million pictures of it I could not wait to cut into it. It immediately crunched under my knife and then slid though the salad. After 1 bite I was SHOOK. I am going back to my original statement and saying THIS WAS THE BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE and it was a salad!! As you all know I am a foodie and am pretty discerning when it comes to food so when I say its good take it to the bank. The entire dish was perfectly sized for me and the boy but we are not big eaters so it could be a nice accompaniment to a meat dish if you are a meat eater or American, lol. The services was great as well as the prices. We walked away satiated and smiling. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Absolutely phenomenal from start to finish! Do not miss out on this food experience. Everything we had was amazing. We did the dessert minis which were all great- but next time I'd probably pick the apple one! This is a place we will come back to when we visit Paris again.

We had no idea what a Pascade was but took a chance based on the reviews. It was amazing! There were no complaints from anyone at any table. The Pascade was reminiscent of a semi-sweet but very savory personal deep dish pizza. We then had the dessert trio Of Pascades and it did not disappoint. I will go back if I have the chance.

Overall: Come to Pascade for a unique Parisian experience. Delicious and intimate Pascade is a must do. Food 5 stars: Loved, loved loved the pascades. Ordered one cheese and one chicken pascade. Delcious Service: Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful on what to order for wine and pascades Ambiance: An intimate place that's good for a quiet night out.

One of the best places we enjoyed on our trip! The Pascade minis were incredible!! Service was great too. Would recommend to anyone visiting.

Les minis! Dessert to share.

Pascade is a traditional French pancake from the Aveyron region. It is sweetened with sugar and spiced with ramson - and also incredibly delicious. This restaurant is specialized in Pascades, hence the name. You get Pascades for entree, main course and dessert. I picked this place because I wanted something, French, unique and well made. The yelp reviews seemed promising... For entree we picked a "plain" Pascade, perfect to taste the pancake itself and get a feel for what it is. We were amazed, never tasted a pancake on this level... The main course is "salty", and you choose between 4 choices. We picked a fresh one with monkfish. It was divine. The fish was cooked to perfection and had the texture of scallops, amazing taste. It was accompanied by cabbage, pickled onions and small chilies. Perfect. For dessert we shared a battery of "les minis": chocolate-, mascarpone-, lemon merengue- and vanilla lime pascades. So good. Tldr; I would recommend this place as a MUST EAT when visiting Paris. Book a table! Very popular place.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place! We ordered the pork pascade and fish pascade and they were so good! The show stopper are the tray of dessert pascade. The owner was very nice and very helpful. Most of the patrons were French, but they were just as nice as the owners. All in all, a great experience!

The restaurant has a nice abviance and vibe. The service was polite and fast. The concept is clever and makes sense--concentrate on one thing (Pascade) and do it well. So why 3 stars? Both my husband and I had Pascade (his was veal and mine was shrimp) that had way too much garlic. This comment is coming from a garlic lover. For the rest of the day we were looking for mints. Next time I would ask for light on garlic. Otherwise, we enjoyed the experience.

Been there twice. Very innovative way of combining pancake and crepe, cooking and baking. Savory filling with sweet crust (called pascade, the Chef's invention), perfection. Dishes were also beautifully presented, especially the dessert. Wish I could bring a bag of the sweet crust home for breakfast or snack : ) Also, the Set Menu is a good value. I remember about 30 euro or something you got vegetable, appetizer, a main course pascade and four mini dessert pascades!

Absolutely fantastic. Our favorite meal in Paris. We got the salmon, lamb, and broccoli. All were great. Don't miss it.

Wow! Just stop in on a whim for lunch. I had no idea what a Pascade was. Like a small pizza sized sweet bread fully of yummy stuff. I had the new Quinoa / ham. OMG! Delicious!!! Just go. Trust me.

Shrimp pas cafe

I was dressed as a tourist, with my hat, camera around my neck, family in tow, and walked into this random snobby-looking restaurant along the way to where we were going. Based on how I was dressed, I was half expecting to be looked down upon, but not, the hostess and all staff were very professional and friendly. Their meals also came in kid-size. What a surprise, the food was delicious, delicate, classically French but with a twist as they presented the food on this bread bowl that tasted like popovers. That's apparently their thing. Magnifique!

These smaller bistro type eateries are the lifeblood of the local cuisine. They consistently offer reasonably priced dishes that are full of flavor and technique. The wine and drink options are well catered to the menu and they provide options for most price points. The service we experienced was exactly what you want... our server had plenty of suggestions based on the offerings of the day. The service was attentive and responsive... not much more than you could ask for. I had the duck breast being offered... it was served alongside crispy potatoes, green beans, and a salad. Adding in the onion soup and a glass of wine... it quickly became a King's dinner at a very reasonable price. I would be more than happy to eat here again and look forward to exploring the rest of the menu offering many local and classic French options.

Like others have said, it's super small inside, so you'll get to know your neighbors really well. But your attention will be more focused on the food they bring out. I had the lamb with thyme sauce and my wife had the confit duck leg. Don't be afraid to pick the sauce of the day over the regular honey sauce. The sauce of the day on the day we went was a blackberry sauce which was crazy good. With a bottle of wine at 24 euros and both entrees under 20 euros, you couldn't really beat a meal of that quality in many places around Paris for that price. It was only after I ate at Le Potager did I see it had a bunch of great reviews on Yelp. It's definitely earned all those stars.

Making a reservation isn't hard but you do need to email them and there's no online booking system. You also have to confirm again 1-2 days before. I understand they are small with a limited number of tables so that's fair and it seemed like everyone showed up even though they don't require a deposit. On a Friday night, it didn't appear there was much chance or walking in although there were like 2 open seats at what would have been a shared table. The menu is small and includes some typical French starters, steaks, 3 non steak entrees, cheeses, and dessert. All steaks come with potatoes, 3 sauces, salad. Service was a highlight. The waiter was personable and funny, had solid recommendations, and made sure leftovers were taken home. Also had a solid wine recommendation after asking some questions. They probably get a lot of people who don't speak French and they had no problem speaking English. The food- ordered a ribeye medium rare. The steak was so so charred on the outside and it almost ruined the whole thing. I really wish they would have charred it way less especially when it was ordered medium rare. There is seared and then there is burnt; this was sadly the latter. The steak itself was fine, honestly nowhere near the best meat I have had but the price is quite reasonable for how much you get. I would say the steak was maybe 6/10 for me, largely due to the cooking. The fries were phenomenal. Definitely a highlight and really tasty and with a great texture. Salad was good, pretty typical. I wanted to like the sauces more but found them just okay. The best by far for me was the blue cheese sauce but even this one I thought the flavors could have popped a little more. Atmosphere was fun, there were a few bigger groups (6-8 which is the biggest they accommodate) but it never got unreasonably loud. Overall I wanted to love it but was a bit disappointed even though the service and fries were both great.

It's a tiny restaurant, so if you're a party of two, you might share a table with others, but they have spacers so you don't feel like you're eating together. Reservations were easy to make. You email in your requested sitting and someone will get back to you shortly. We were able to get in a little ahead of schedule and start the adventure. Wines were reasonably priced and they had a good variety of cocktails. We hadn't had French onion soup on our trip, so we ordered it as an appetizer. Sometimes it can get a little salty, but these were very well blended. Sacree Fleur seems to be known for their steak and frites, so we ordered the steak for two. Steak comes out on a sizzling platter. You can turn the pieces over to keep cooking until your preferred temperature. It was quite succulent and the fries were well prepared. There are two dipping sauces and some salt to season your meal. We hadn't a great time and way too much food :)

We were so looking forward to the frog legs, onion soup and other delicacies pictured. We got there and the sign was just as it was with the same name -- Au Pied du Sacre Coeur. We should've noticed something was wrong when no one was inside. When the waiter (lone person working along with cook) gave us the menu, my wife and I stared at each other completely confused. The menu looked nothing like the ones on this website and featured Italian food items, like spaghetti, arroz con pollo or mozarella. I asked him about frog legs or the onion soup. He looked confused and just said no. Out of respect for him, we just ordered the charcuterie, which featured stale bread and a few slices of meat taken from my local grocery store in the U.S. Also -- they claimed to not accept any international credit cards. The free Cote du Rhône glass was appreciated for check-in! Our server had his head permanently at a 30 degree angle, staring at his mobile. Tis a shame. But he was friendly ( oh, and easy on the eyes). I liked the quiet location out of the chaotic fray, like up the street, with all its smoking and volume. PS This is lover's type of location.
