Just a quick shout out and thanks to the sales manager Rich and the entire crew for helping us out today! Great, friendly, knowledgeable service. They really made the extra effort to make us comfortable. We totally interrupted their lunch and they went out of their way and made time to help us out. They are located in the shop in between guitar center and Poohbah records. Fair prices. Great service. Clean shop. Friendly crew. This is where you want to go. Thanks again for booking it up! read more

Needed to have my front tire replaced on my 2017 Victory. I sent an email early one morning asking if they could and sure enough the next day they said come on down. Normally I wouldn't have thought about doing so as its not a Yamaha. There are very few places that can perform any maintenance on my bike. To have a shop within 5 miles of home is a huge win. Guys in the shop are good dudes and know what they are doing and in short order took care of my tire. I didnt make an appointment and only waited a little over an hour and that is the best kind of customer service. No appointment, but they took the time to set me up. Also spoke with Rich Sesma on the sales side. Super good guy knows bikes and rides. My wife wants to learn so I now know where I am getting her first bike. Cost of the tire repair was under $50.00 which is amazing considering they took the wheel off and changed the tire. That alone will win business from me all day every day. Long story short, come to this shop and support a local family business. You will not regret doing so. read more

Worst customer service!!! I called regarding R1 . Spoke to a person name Frederick literally my first time speaking to him and my guy has a very bad attitude . I would definitely recommend Pasadena Yamaha to everyone. As a first time rider and bike purchaser, all of the staff made me feel very comfortable with their transparency and extensive knowledge. Rich was very helpful and even called to check in the following day, Alex also had a lot of information on gear and both were very open to questions. I bought my bike used, but they cleaned it up, tested all functionality and helped setup a delivery as well. Price was very reasonable and the purchasing process was very quick. Awesome shop and awesome people, I plan to purchase all future bikes from here! read more

I'm a pretty low water person. I had about 10K to spend on a bike and I went shopping. Walked into this store, 3 guys looked up from their desks, NONE said hi. It's not THAT big of a store. I walked around the store for 5 minutes, still no one said even a "howdy". I don't want to say it's because I was a woman, but...They all looked at me like they couldn't be bothered. NONE of the other stores I went to that day did that. Villain cycles were GREAT and spoke to me for 20 MIN to find out what I wanted AND gave a tour of their shop. Come the F on Yamaha. learn to be polite. Sure, 10K isn't 100,000,000, but I was a customer and deserved better treatment. Your loss! read more

Ok, Patrick is very helpful and he understands what I needed for my XMAX. And Rich understands what I liked because he is a rider too.

Went in to do initial recommended service on my 2020 Yamaha Zuma. I don't use it much so minimal mileage. Patrick checked the mileage and said that I can wait longer. He easily could have just gone ahead with doing service and collected the $$, but said I could wait a few more months. I really appreciated the honesty and integrity. It showed me that it is about the customer at Pasadena Yamaha before the profit. I truly appreciated that from Patrick. They will definitely earn my business for any and all maintenance I will be doing for my scooter. Thanks Patrick! read more

I worked with Fredrick and he was no BS and was down to business. He was straight forward yet easy to work with. I had some perceived issues with my bike after purchase and worked with Patrick and he was more than willing to help. He insisted that I bring the bike back to the shop so that he could ensure that proper maintenance/build up was done. Very helpful and he had pride on ensuring that they delivered the best possible product. read more

Sometimes, Yamaha offers rebates which you can apply to the purchase of the bike. This dealership doesn't do that. Instead, they keep it for themselves. If you decide to purchase from them, be sure you look over the invoice before committing. I ended up purchasing from an authorized dealership in Chatsworth. They have a larger selection and better prices. read more

This place is fantastic! I shopped around town and this place by far took the cake. The staff is beyond knowledgable about their product, and not only that, they're passionate about it to! Rich helped me as I hunted for what I was looking for. I wish he sold everything I was looking for, he knows his stuff and makes sure you know it too. All in all I would recommend this place to any and everyone who is looking for a motorcycle. You'll walk away satisfied! Fast, easy, and great product. read more

Rich Alex Pat & Kel are sincerely great people. I was in the market for the 2020 r1m. Called aRound and around but didn't feel much love over the phone. Till my last spot I called which was here at Pasa Yamaha. Transferred to Rich (great salesman) and in an hour I had my 2020 r1m signed ready to go. Amazing family owned dealer. Customer service was just on point. I'm beyond satisfied. I couldn't have gotten a better deal on my bike from anywhere else. Thank you very much for everything you guys. Excellent experience! I was looking for a motorcycle from different brands, but decided to buy Yamaha Bolt purely because of the customer service I had in Pasadena Yamaha. Richard was the one to help me choose the bike and even agreed to help me riding it for the first time, because I had very little experience then. I did not feel pressured to buy a motorcycle at all, rather just was advised regarding the options. Later, I had a little problem with my front wheel - my parked bike was lightly hit by a car. I took it to back to the dealership and they fixed it for free! I always feel welcomed there and wish all the companies had such great customer service. read more

I want to start this off by saying Kel, the owner of this joint is very professional. Probably one of the most forward shop/dealership owners I've ever met. I came to Pasadena Yamaha because I had gotten into a hit and run, but my mechanic did not deal with insurance. Seeing the high ratings, I decided to give this place a try. On the front end of things, everything was smooth as butter. Dropped off the bike, got an estimate, and Kel actually dealt directly with the insurance company. Completely hassle free, and told me, "we will have her(R6) returned to brand new". After about a week and a half, I got a call and was notified my bike was ready to be picked up. Arriving the following day, is where everything went downhill. I noticed they had not switched out the damaged frame sliders from my accident. No big deal, I thought to myself. Probably an honest mistake. While dealing with paperwork, they attached a new slider on for me. As I went back out to check the bike, I noticed the front wheel fender cowl was missing the Yamaha decal. I thought, wow another mistake perhaps? So they told me the owner is the one who usually puts them on. I decided to cut the man a break since he isn't exactly very young. Another honest mistake I thought. After going to work the next day, I went to put my helmet in the lock under the rear seat and noticed my helmet lock was missing. At this point, I rested against my motorcycle to call the shop and felt my front seat shift. As I turned to check, I found out the seat itself wasn't even bolted to the motorcycle. This place is ridiculous. I thought this was going to be the shop that changed the way I felt about dealership shops, but it only engrained that feeling even more. If you want good, safe, service; go somewhere else. read more

after coming here off on for last few years. After getting the wrong part for the 3rd time from Alex and having damage caused to my super tenere from one of the gas tank bolt being cross-threaded and the overfill hose being left disconnected for months from a tech that use to work there I am done. After dealing with pat many times he is racist and if you've been there 1 time you would not notice. I think he got it from his dad who after dealing with him a few times is the same. I called a spic when I complained about the service then followed by you should have been a better race because I am a disabled veteran. Then followed by it sucks that my taxes have to go toward your disability. Which is about 3 cents per year. After complaining to the district manager who is pos and then Yamaha corporate they did nothing. read more

Just bought my first motorcycle here yesterday. Richard Sesma helped me choose the perfect bike. He helped me weight out the pros and cons between different years and models. I loved the atmosphere at this dealership. I never felt pressured or felt like I was being tricked. Richard really took the time to make sure that I got the bike that was right for me. Rich was upfront about all of the costs and extra fees and helped me stay within my budget. To make this short and sweet I have known the owner and his son and his wife daughter since I bought this 2002 Yamaha FZ 1000. At 1 point they serviced all 6 of my motorcycles. Back in 2009 I almost lost my life because the electrical system went out well guess what the electrical system went out again and it is now 2022 they kept the bike for almost a year supposedly repairing the electronical short thairing the electronic or short that was in the odometer or attack ometer which I personally bought one off the eBay to give them to replace into replace but the wiring is still faulty I had to go to another shop in order to get it fixed correctly. In a nutshell I have never been treated like the inwards since I left the South. Respect customer service loyalty means nothing to Pasadena Yamaha's so called team worst shop on the planet wouldn't take them to a dog fight if they were the dogs fighting. Since the loss of life means nothing to them I give them to God! read more

I'm a new rider, and looked all over SoCal for the best first bike. There are actually a lot of good guys out there selling motorcycles, but I kept coming back to Pasadena Yamaha. He's super knowledgeable and incredibly patient. What a great experience, and I love my new Tracer! Shout out as well to Patrick in parts -- very good dude. Trust. It's incredibly important for a motorcycle rider. Most of all trust between mechanic and rider. I can sum up our experience at Pasadena Yamaha with a few sew simple words...loyal customers from now on. We spoke with Alex to begin with and he was so helpful with getting the bike off our truck and took his time talking to us about what the "issue" could be and etc. he was super nice and friendly. Some people have that warmth in their heart that you can just feel right off the bat. Well, the whole staff here was like that. The owner, Kal, is a patient and kind man. I lost my phone and he lent me his to find it. It was an ordeal and they were so nice to help out. Our mechanic's name was Chris, he answered all our questions and explained what the problem was. All of the people we dealt with here we patient and warm. They treated us like friends/family more than customers. :) They adjusted a few things and their pricing was fair and definitely made sense to us. Kal even worked with us to give us an incredible price for the service and we couldnt be happier. Whenever anything needs to be done...we will be at Pasadena Yamaha!!! Thank you so much guys!!! read more

If I could review with negative stars, I would. DO NOT GO HERE. I have tried this dealer multiple times and I honestly have nothing good to say. The most recent experience has got to be the worst. My bike's starter clutch was busted and we sent it in to this dealer to get it fixed. After a few days at the shop, they gave me a call an said that there was a nail in my tire and it was totally flat. I went to check it out and it looked like they had literally punched this giant nail perfectly into my tire. It was kinda sketchy since I had ridden quite a ways to even get my bike to that dealer. After finally getting my bike's clutch and tire replaced, I went to pick it up and the mechanic decided to break in the tires while I paid inside. I noticed that the mechanic was jerking the throttle WAY to hard. When he came back he handed me a broken off piece of the throttle cable, along with the drum. This piece looked perfectly wire cut, in the exact length where the cable is exposed when the throttle is turned. We called the mechanic out on it and he snapped at us, back-talking very unprofessionally. He said that the cable needed to be lubricated and that's why it "snapped." This is a lie because before the throttle cable is ready to snap, the throttle will start to stick for a while. Also the point at which the cable is needed to be lubricated is farther past the length that the cable "snapped." Few days later I go back to the dealer to get the bike. Finally. A couple nights later I notice yet ANOTHER problem. The rude mechanic hadn't fastened the retention nut on the carburetor end of the throttle cable. I realized this on the freeway when my throttle got stuck. It was beyond dangerous what they did. I returned once again to the dealer and told them what happened. They didn't appear phased at what a major danger they had put me in. They fixed it right then and a few minutes later and give it back. BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! They didn't even put the fuel line back in! We called them back over to the bike and put it back in. I took a good, thorough check to my bike to make sure they hadn't found a way to screw up my bike anymore. And that will be the very last time I will ever step foot into the Pasadena Yamaha Dealership. read more

I've been taking my Piaggio Typhoon scooter to Pasadena Yamaha for maintenance for 6 years now. The only reason I continue to go back is because it is local. But I'm moving away from Pasadena which means I can thankfully find a new scooter maintenance shop. So it's time for my review. As I've reflected on the 5 times I've taken my scooter there, I can't say that a single one was a good overall experience. Here's what I like about them. It's family owned. Kel is a really nice guy, personable, and attentive to you when you are there in person. His daughter helps him out sometimes, too. And they've got a few guys that help out with sales and maintenance. Everyone is nice and friendly... when you are there in person. Here's what I don't like about them. If you're not standing in the showroom, you're not a priority. My most recent experience I took my scooter in for new tires and the annual tune up. The bike was in their shop for two weeks. I called four times to find out if the bike was ready and every single time the guy answering phones said he didn't know the status and they'd have to call me back. Never did I get a call back. Finally I just showed up to pick up my bike. The tires had been put on but the tune-up had not been done. A tune up takes at max one hour. They couldn't find one hour in two weeks for one of their guys to attend to my bike?! Another time I took my scooter in for a tune up and when I drove away the idle had been adjusted so low that it would choke every time I let off the throttle. I had to drive it right back and make them adjust the idle again on the spot. The worst experience I had there was after an incident where my bike needed some body repairs. It sat in their shop for over a month. I called and called and called and the shop guy kept pushing me off saying they were still waiting on parts. After a month I called and the shop guy had been let go. And no one knew the status of my bike. I had to go in personally and explain the situation to Kel to get the repair back on track. He apologized profusely pushing blame on his shop guy for dropping the ball. At the time I believed him. That was four years ago, and not much has changed. Now I understand it's just the business norm. for their operation. Finally, their prices are too high! I paid more for maintenance on my scooter than I did for my car. The scooter is much simpler, easier to work with, and quicker to work on. I should not be paying more for maintenance on it. As I said, if I lived in the area, I'd probably still go back, because they were super close and convenient and I've got no problem being the "squeeky wheel" to make sure my scooter gets attention. But having moved, I am NOT going to miss this place. I'm so happy to be able to go find a new scooter shop closer to my new home. read more

I bought my 09 r1 from these guys for several reasons. 1. They didn't feed me a load of bull$h!t. 2. They didn't pressure me or "detain" me by holding on to my ID 3. The price was right, and the staff was friendly I will give them my business again for different reasons though. 1. I was able to get some defected parts replaced as soon as the parts were in, and i was able to go in and out within 30 minutes each time i was there. 2. The owner is always there and actually "working", which is very assuring because i know that he is aware of everything that is going on in his dealership. read more

Tune up for basic maintenance since i live close bye. They put my rear tire on backwards...... Couple months later went down on the low-side for basic turn at the stoplight turn. Last proper motorcycle shop left anywhere near Pasadena! Still family owned and a pleasure to deal with!

Let's face it, any place with a Yamaha motorcycle inside is almost a 10 Star deal for that fact alone. But alas we only get 5 to work with at yelp, so Pasadena Yamaha get's 4. First time I went in and a gentleman took his time to show me some bikes, talk to me about riding, and tell me some things about Yamaha, the company. No sales pressure, straight forward, and knowledgeable of what he is selling. Second time I went in I entered from the rear and walked through a well kept service area in the back of the store. Bought some oil change stuff and I was happy with the service. The guys behind the counter took time to answer some silly questions about my bike. Such as 'What temperature should the bike run at under normal riding conditions?' Their answer? "Hot" said one guy. "And hotter," said the other. Which is true enough. Third time I went in I was browsing gear. No one asked if i wanted help, no one kept their eye on me like I might snatch something. I just walked around the store and looked at the gear lining the walls, and that suits me fine. This part of the store can use some order and tiding up, however. But it is a motorcycle shop after all, not Nordstrom. So I'll cut 'em a break. They have lot's of used inventory outside in back and you can look around without hindrance from a sales person. They have all sorts of bikes back there, some of which look much worse for wear. But I think those are used for cheapo parts. If you bring your bike in for service and have to wait their is a Denny's, Guitar Center, and 7-11 nearby. As well as a coffee shop a few long blocks east if you don't mind the walk. read more

My boyfriend came in wanting to buy the Yamaha Bold Rspec. As soon as we walked in Rich and Patrick were very helpful with showing us the different bikes and what would be beneficial for my boyfriends tastes. He wanted the green color in particular and Pasadena didn't have it. The owner Kel came by and said he can search different locations and see if they can get it and let us know. Since my boyfriend wanted the bike that day (he really couldn't wait) Kel referred us to someone that was really great and not too far away. Since my boyfriend purchased the bike we have been in and out of Pasadena Yamaha picking up parts and accessories for his bike and myself :) They are all very helpful and such a great family that owns the business. Some reviews talk about them being over priced, but I have shopped around and I always get the best price from Kel. They do such a great job and are very trustworthy. I always plan on coming back. read more

As Brent S. noted in his review, you find mostly 5 star reviews (for sales) and 1 star reviews (for service). This one is for sales. I spoke with Rich regarding a Yamaha generator, having done my initial pricing on Amazon. He was able to match their price (10% off list), and fill it with gas and oil at no additional charge. He walked me through the operation very knowledgeably and said to call if I had any questions. He even phoned the next day to make sure I was completely satisfied. I am. read more

I put a scooter up for sale on consignment on April 14, 2010. For several months I called periodically to check on whether they sold the scooter and was told that it had not been sold. Finally at the end of August I called to once again check up on the scooter and they told me it had been sold in June, but it was actually sold on May 15, 2010. No one had contacted me about the sale, nor had Pasadena Yamaha sent a check. The staff stated they sent me a check but I never received one and they had no record of sending one - no check stub, no notice in the bank. They then claimed to have sent me a second check, which again never arrived. I finally went to the store and picked up a check in person. This check bounced in one week. I had to go back to the store, receive partial payment in cash and partial in another check, and then drive a 1/2 hour away to get the check cashed by their bank in Sun Valley, which they tried to discourage me from doing because they supposedly did not have enough to cover the check that day ($900). Amazingly I was able to cash the check (after a lot of discussion and whispering between the bank teller and her manager) and I have my money now but the whole ordeal was extremely unprofessional, there were no apologies, and they were obviously not honest with me. Additionally, I was paying insurance the entire time the scooter had been sold, which was totally unnecessary and when the check bounced I had to pay overdraft fees through my own bank. Although calm and polite, the staff were completely unhelpful, the manager (Kel) would barely speak a sentence to me before handing me off to someone else, and I left feeling like they were trying to get away with never paying me at all. Again, they never apologized and they never even tried to explain what happened. I remained very patient with them, waiting for checks to arrive in the mail, but it all ended up being a hoax. I am so glad that I no longer have to fight for my money and I discourage anyone from conducting business with this dealership. read more

Came here with a friend for the first time to check out their new R1 as I have been cross-shopping between the R1 and BMW's reigning champion, the S1000RR. The salespeople would not allow me to test ride the bike even though I would have been willing to put down a deposit. I don't care how many glowing reviews I read about something - I will not buy something this expensive without being able to test it out first. Glad I didn't buy it because of the huge recall. One star for allowing me to look at the bike. A second star for allowing me to sit on it. Edit: In response to Kel M., this visit occurred long before Yamaha ever announced the recall, so I don't know what "risk" he's referring to... I was told they just weren't offering test rides on their precious R1. Perhaps he's referring to the "risk" of theft or risk of inherent dangers of riding a motorcycle?! If so, no test rides period?!? read more
