I'm glad I went with Pasadena Yamaha. I've been looking at the blue 2017 R6 for awhile, and finally found a super great deal on a used one (practically new still with only 538miles) Rich is an awesome guy, he made the whole process from start to finish very easy. Very straight forward, no BS. The staff there was also very welcoming and friendly. They hooked me up with a full tank of gas, and a new pair of Alpinestars gloves when I mentioned I had forgot mine from home. I'm glad to be a part of the Pasadena Yamaha family! Came in today with my wife to look at some scooter. Walk all the way inside and finally someone came and help. Service is OK. Best place to go when looking into purchasing a bike. It took me forever to decide exactly what I wanted to buy as my first bike. Rich and the team were very helpful, knowledgable, and friendly to me. I purchased the 2016 Yamaha R3. Its a beautiful bike that I fell in love with. How my process went: I first called them to see if they had the bike in stock. They transferred me to Rich and the bike was available. Not only did he give me that information but was also informative on the specs and what I needed to bring in first before coming in. I came to the store with a comfortable/laid back welcome greeting as if I know them already. They sent me to speak with Rich. He went over details of what paperwork information I needed, what the next steps are in owning a bike, insurance recommendations, and adding on accessories needed for my first bike. Normally I feel pressure or stress when doing a big purchase, ie. Buying a car, however it was never like that from the start. They gave me a great deal that I couldnt get anywhere else and I respect the way I was treated. I highly recommend to going to these guys. They did an outstanding job and everything went smoothly. Didn't take long to feel like family at this place. Rich Sesma is a great Representative of Pasadena Yamaha--I would say "Salesman" because that's technically what he functions as--but, he doesn't operate that way. I stumbled by this place on accident late one night, then I came in the next day. It was freaking 90+ degrees the day I came and they offered water AND bottles of Black Tea. Plus they have couches you can chill on. I was able to take my gear off and relax, Rich greeted me as I came in and we started talking about bikes and his experiences riding, and even other stories about his life. It was a personable experience I enjoyed. I told him I was looking for a used 2019 R3 and he gave me straightforward information about that bike. Then he showed me this used 2018 Ninja 400 the shop recently acquired that wasn't even on the floor yet because it needed cosmetic repairs. The thing is, we didn't even go back to look at it just so he could sell it to me, he just told me how blown away he was how crazy modified it was; the original owner modified nearly every single replaceable component of the bike and he wanted to show me all the work that had been done to it. I ended up buying it that day, because it was a really good, fair price--and a steal for me. With all of the modifications done to it Yamaha could have charged $3,000, but instead they charged the fair market price, and it saved me a lot money in the long run. Plus, the bike had stupid low miles! AND the original owner of the bike gave Yamaha all of the stock parts along with the bike. Now, Yamaha could have kept those parts and sold them separately, or charged me extra for them, but they didn't. They gave them to me along with the purchase. The bike was ready for me the next day like they said it would be. Another thing I appreciate about Rich is this: when he was working and talking with me a colleague came and asked him to reach out to another customer through phone but Rich refused to because he was working with me. ALSO, I already had a pre-approved auto loan through my credit union and when I told Rich I had one, he stopped the financing process through Yamaha so that their credit checks wouldn't hurt my credit score--thank you. Honda screwed my wife's score bad with that. Rich didn't press on financing through Yamaha. This store is dope. I'mma be back--with weapons (kidding). I'll be back for maintenance for my bike. read more

What can I say, this place is great. Everyone is kind and has a great attitude but the main reason for this review is Rich. Rich went above and beyond for me and I can't even begin to describe how grateful I am. From not only walking me through each step of purchasing and financing (never financed anything before) to having a nice talk about the differences and pros/cons of different models I was looking at and everything in between. Just as I ran my credit and was approved he asked "what do you really want?" My heart went to a used GSXR he had in the back of the showroom because multiple people in my family grew up on a Suzuki GSXR. He ran some numbers, called his insurance guy, the works. 5 minutes later I had financing options, insurance options, personal advice, everything and Rich was not once pushy like other places salespeople are. I was ready to sign but I got a call for an emergent family matter and I had to go, I told Rich I wanted the bike but I couldn't stay because family things had came up. So much of a stand up guy he said "I get it, I'm a family man. If you want the bike it's yours, I'll hold it for you. Don't worry about anything go take care of family" he went for a handshake but I outright near hugged him. I told him I'd be back Thursday (almost a full week later) for the bike and to do the paperwork Fast forward to today: I left work early, took a train 2 hours to get to Pasadena because I needed my bike. I fully believed Rich's promise to hold the bike for me but when someone does something like that, is so kind, and so helpful you want to give them your business right away. Throughout the paperwork signing, multiple questions I had, and overall a good conversation of motorcycles Rich was amazing. Best customer service I've ever dealt with. I purchased my 2018 Star Venture Transcontinental from another dealer. I felt like their knowledge was very limited on the product. Things that were said were not backed up properly. I first visited this location a few weeks prior to purchasing my first motorcycle. The salesman Rich showed me around the motorcycle I was interested in and took the time to explain any questions I had for it. After completing my Riders Course and obtaining my license, I went back to Pasadena Yamaha, and purchased my first motorcycle. The transaction went by fast, no hassle, no fuss with Rich. He also stated that I am more than welcome to contact him anytime even after business hours on his personal number(which I wont out of respect) but the fact he offered will not go unnoticed. After preparing my motorcycle, Kel the business owner took the time to show me the functions of the motorcycle(headlights, brakes, clutch etc) and even showed me a short demo on the operation of the motorcycle. Considering this was my first motorcycle and just recently obtaining my license, I was a bit nervous to ride it home from the dealer all the way to my house. Though it isn't a standard procedure, Kel offered to load the motorcycle to his personal vehicle and drop it off at my house after business hours on a weekend. I've never received that sort of First Class treatment as a paying customer. This dealership will be my only go to for any accessories, maintenance and future motorcycle purchases I will ever make in my riding career. I bought 2 brand new R1's at this location, but will not return because service dept is unable to fix this issue. My bike has been to this shop 3-5 times in the past few months. First of all hats off to Rich, Kel, and the whole staff here. They really treat you like family here as soon as you walk in the door. I went in to look for my first bike a month earlier. Rich was patient enough to explain which bikes he recommended for a noob like me. He didn't pressure me into walking out with a bike that day. I told him I will be back in a month after I got my M1 license and he was more than happy to assist me when I come back again. One month later, I got my license and I purchased my first bike, the 2019 Yamaha R3 ABS. I can't even describe how awesome this bike is. Great beginner bike if you eventually want to go into sport bikes. The throttle is perfect for a beginner like me but it catches once you're in 3rd or 4th gear and that's when the fun starts. I did months of research on which bikes are the best for beginners with low maintenance and Yamaha is by far the best when it comes to reliability. You want to ride your first bike with a sense of relief without it malfunctioning as a new rider. Remember you are still learning how to ride a motorcycle and all of your attention is prospecting the road, getting used to finding the friction zone on your clutch, throttle, and braking. These guys just wants the best for every new rider that comes in. Their motto is safety first and find the right kind of bike for you. Ok...so now I'm starting to sound like a broken record....I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Service is amazing, and the guys are all really nice. I just recently purchased my brand new R1...(that bike is a beast)!! On my way to work one morning, she felt kinda sluggish, and wasn't weaving as well as before....got to the shop, and to my horror....SHE HAD A NAIL IN THE BACK TIRE!!! :-(!! NO BUENO!! I called Kel same day....asked for a price...and the stickiest tire he could get for me....I ride fast and I want her to stay on the pavement. So as the story goes, I was in a Yamaha dealership having a service done and new skins put on my Suzuki GSXS 1000F. I also ride a 2007 FJR1300 so it was only natural to look at the new one while I was there. BIG MISTAKE! So I get home and the wheels start turning in my head. 13 year old bike, needs a few things. Time for a new one or time for an investment? Hard choices. Then, there's the electronically controlled suspension and cruise control, heated grips and on and on. Hard to overcome latest, greatest tech on a fabulous machine. I love my FJR. Would I love this one the same? Could it live up to 76,000 miles and 13 years of happiness, therapy and flat out fun? Well, Rich made it my reality and YES, it sadly blows my old FJR away. I talked with Rich briefly over the phone before coming in. Liked the NO PRESSURE approach. Came in and sat with Rich for a bit swapping stories and talking about possibly buying the new FJR. Just for clarification, talking about it! Rich is a kindred spirit. Seemed like we should have crossed paths somewhere. Anyway, Rich has a zero pressure, bike sells itself attitude. He is just there to do paperwork kinda thing. I have made a lot of purchases. Cars and bikes. This was honestly one of the most laid back, easy ones I have ever had. I rode home and was like, "Wow, I just bought a bike". That was too easy. The staff at Pasadena Yamaha were super welcoming and accommodating. This shop is not the type of shop that hounds you down, constantly asking if you need any help. They ask if you need help, and if you don't then they let you browse around with your own comfort. That was a plus for me. Rich helped us out and he made the process for us very easy. We picked out two bikes, and quoted us right away for each one. We ended up picking the Matte Grey R6 and he did not pull up some ridiculous high price like the other big bike shops. The price is what it is and he was willing to work with customer's budgets. We were in and out pretty quick, and he did a good job explaining everything to us. The whole staff here was very friendly and helpful. Rich, the head salesman, was especially helpful in picking out a ride that was right for me. There was literally no pressure at all to buy, he just wanted to help us make the best choice. Which I believe we did! First time there just popped in on a Saturday morning and Rich talked with us for over an hour showing us around to the different bikes and options. 2nd time we knew what I was looking for and they made the process very simple - Rich is very forth coming on all the costs and fees and will not hide anything when asked.
