Wow, I am incredibly amazed with Pasadena Lock Shop. Steve and Nick it was my pleasure to have worked with you two. Steve showed up to the building and was able to help me in a matter of 20 minutes or so. I had 5% battery juice on my phone and within five minutes Nick coordinated for Steve to help me unlock my clients home. I am a Realtor and I was holding an open house unfortunately all my belongings and the keys to the apartment stayed inside the apartment, I called the HOA of the building for any guidance for liability issues and of course they were no help... it's unfortunate when a business that provides customer service in any means especially property management FAILED to assist AGAIN liability issues -- property management would much rather have their tenants SPEND TIME AND MONEY on other services yet ask a highly monthly HOA with no sources of help or guidance this saddens me for anyone who lives in the building. Steve showed up the building within minutes and was able to show me how to properly lock and unlock with another bolt involved. I am not an expert in locks but Steve educated me. Steve has lived in the area for years now and he knows his destinations and because of his knowledge and expertise he was very patient with me he was thorough and best of all was a nice man. I felt so bad the rest of my holding because I forgot to offer him a cold water bottle, it was a nice day out and when someone is working hard i'm sure he had to been thirsty... Sorry Steve for not offering a water. I was delighted with his service. Nick and Steve were my heros. I recommended this shop to a few Realtor friends who work in the area. Thank you so so much Steve and Nick. I will never forget your excellent service! --- Jessica read more

Always very responsive and efficient when I work with them. Quick to fix lock/door issues every time.

Really cool owner I had a chance to meet and speak with. A store I'd been to five years previously and came back to the next time I needed a key. Super fast, quality keys, and affordable prices. And a nice conversation. What's there not to love!? read more

I've worked with his lock shop a couple of times in the past few years and they are super capable and can always install what I've needed. First time I had them install a push button lock for one of my buildings. Service and advice was great. Second time he came or my house and installed new knob and deadbolt for one of our back doors a month or two ago. Now I'm going to use them again to fix front door entry, and French door handles. Would definitely recommend. My house is from the 1930s. read more

Steve is the best. I've brought all sorts of old and new locks from antique cars and building projects and each time they've given great service. Pasadena Lock Shop is the sort of place that would send you to another shop if they thought someone else might be better for a project, but so far that's never happened. I haven't been able to stump them yet. I'd recommend them to anyone needing help with keys or a lock. read more

I have been using the same locksmith for years but he finally retired. I had an old Schlage front door lock that I recently had refinished and I couldn't get it back on. I was a bit worried because it is an older lock and can be tricky but Steve was able to get it back on the door and functioning better than before. I set up an appointment a couple of days in advance. He showed up on time as promised and he even charged me the low end of what he had quoted on the phone. This company and Steve are great and I am happy to have found a new locksmith. read more

PLS Rekeyed a door for us today. Jesus worked the phone to set me up. He called back for an earlier time, and it worked out. Thank you Jesus! Nick rekeyed the door. He called when he finished the job before mine. I gave him driving instructions which are always necessary for accessing a hillside house. Nick asked the most important question. What do you want? Then he did exactly what we asked for. He is very professional. I was very satisfied with the completed work. Thank You Nick. read more

We were really pleased with the service we got. Our locksmith was really knowledgeable and patient. He explainer the lock in detail and why it was deficient. He removed the lock cassette in a way that still allowed the door to close while he was fixing it. He recommended a round knob and the door feels much better already. Would hire them again in an instant. (Also, wore a mask during the entire job.) read more

Amazing quality and service by Pasadena Lock Shop! They came out on short notice and did an excellent job drilling and installing a new dead bolt on my front door. Went above and beyond to grind some of the strike plate as there was interference caused by the other lock on the door. Was quick and professional and would highly recommend. Can't beat their quality, value and service. Very friendly and gave me tips about using the new lock, rekeying and everything. read more

I've lived in Hollywood for over 20 years and my boyfriend/partner has lived in Pasadena 3 and is moving. I really want to thank Steve to be able to come out so quickly and rekey all my locks. I lost my keys and he was the first to respond on Yelp and was very reasonably priced. He was very nice and respectful. He took his shoes off every time he needed to come inside, which I really appreciated when I didn't ask him to. I really hope everyone can support a family business like this one. read more

It's really great, easy and friendly. Very mom and pop shop style. I had three keys made, two house keys and an auto key made. Less than 10 mins to make and cost 16 bucks. If you get locked out, this place is very reputable, fast, trusted, and fair. They respond quickly and don't take advantage of the situation by overpricing or charging for the service. You can also get keys made here. I've had keys made at the major home improvement department stores that are unreliable and sometimes don't work but this place is very professional and the duplicate keys always work. read more

Nick repaired our 1930s original doorknob that had completely frozen. He was able to come right away and was professional, courteous, and super fair. Hopefully our door should be good for another century! So happy to find a shop that specializes in antique locks - most locksmiths aren't able to service at all and they are quite tricky to replace. As festival season dawns upon some of us like myself... I was preparing for take off this week and had been packing up my car with camping gear and other items. I wanted to put more stuff in my car -- grabbed my yoga mat, tent, sticks, blanket and car key my hands were pretty full. As I swung my metal screen door open and used my foot to push it back closed, it wasn't until the door had slammed shut where I realized that I didn't have my apartment keys (haha). Realizing that I had just locked myself out with only my car key, no wallet, no phone... no bobby pins or any other device I could have even tried to use myself I had to think of how I would get someone to help me. Luckily, I live next door to a CVS where I asked the employees to use their phone. One guy allowed me to use his cell phone where I googled locksmiths in Pasadena and then went to Yelp where I decided to call Pasadena Lock Shop as it was the first business that had appeared in the search with excellent reviews from fellow Yelpers. Steve said he would be able to make it out in 15 minutes. He had arrived at what felt like 8 minutes and was able to pick the lock in about the same about of time if not sooner! Steve held a professional demeanor and was kind enough to let me walk over to CVS to pull out cash since I did not have enough in my wallet at home. I cannot thank him enough for helping me out during this chaotic time right before I leave for Coachella! I will definitely be recommending Pasadena Lock Shop to anyone who needs help -- super quick and reliable service! read more
