My friend was staying in a hotel at this location so decided to come here to chat. I was shocked! I had never heard of this place and it was beautiful! Super upscale! I got a dirty chai latte and it was smooth and strong. They had Title Fight playing which I love! Such a good vibe! I parked on the street a few blocks away and walked over. I will come back in the future

Mocha latte

I've been here in the past for nice mocha latte. Today I stopped in for lunch and a coffee. I had enough time that I decided to sit and eat there. I didn't catch the name of the cashier/barista/server but it was clear she wore many hats. Ultra friendly and inviting atmosphere. I went with the Italian Beef and a side of tomato soup. The beef was nice and made in house. You can tell the beef was cooked closer to a roast style VS thinly shaved top round. Really in-house vs store bought. The giardiniera added a nice subtle crunch. Tomato soup was very good. The latte was stunning. Overall an amazing lunch. I look forward to going back and trying the burger.

turkey avo sandwich

Overpriced. Music is loud. Food is so mid - I ordered a turkey avo melt and literally got cold turkey, cold cheese, and barely 1 slice of avocado on toasted Wonder white bread. The fillings won't even stay in the bread. I asked before I ordered if the sandwich would be cold and the cashier said it was served hot. So mad I spent $30 on this tiny sandwich and cappuccino. There's more salad than sandwich on my plate. Turkey is Oscar Meyer. Salad is kale and tomatoes, nothing else. Coffee/cappucino is so bitter it's bad. No outlets in the laptop bar area. I feel like I'm eating a sad school lunch right now, which is the opposite of what I wanted to experience today.

Blackened Shrimp Tacos

We loved our visit to Parterre, located downtown within walking distance of Thanksgiving Chapel and the AT&T Discovery District. It's located on the ground floor of the Santander Tower at the corner of Elm and North Ervay. Parking is beneath it in a parking garage that is outrageously priced, but Parterre provides validation for three hours of free parking to customers. We ordered the Turkey AVO sandwich, a buttery crisp, savor turkey delight on thick sourdough. The blackened shrimp tacos were also yummy with a rich sauce and sweet corn. I'd recommend the corn tortillas over flour. We also sampled two coffees: Everything Nice & Caramel Apple Cider. Noth were well balanced and delicious, though only 10 oz. Service was a little slow, we had to ask for things several times. But, it was nice to not feel rushed. I might have been more relaxed had I known when we sat down the parking was free. Also, the glass at our table looked several days past the need to be cleaned. It's possible some party was there with kids putting food-fingers all over it. But there was a layer of dust outside too, which hindered the fun of people watching in this area. Ambience was light, open, and airy. Would repeat!

Been eating here for years, still crazy delicious! Very nice attentive service. The new biscuits are absolutely amazing, crispy crust, buttery dense cake like inside. Our waiter told us that the chef received a raise based his unique biscuit creation. Crunchy flavorful chicken filet. Served with fresh strawberry puree, chili honey. Coffee bar is exceptional too: Nitro Coffee Green Tea Latte

This place has amazing lattes - they were delicious! We came for brunch on Mother's Day (last minute decision). Cute atmosphere/decor. Seats were very hard definitely would be nice to add some cushion. Our order was placed and the server came back to us 10-15 minutes later when she realized she had not entered it into the system so we had a long wait for our food. However we grabbed a muffin from the counter and sipped on our lattes and cocktails - both were good! Once our food finally came I had ordered the spicy chicken sandwich with fries - it was okay (I could not taste any spice). My husband had the hot honey chicken and biscuits which also came with eggs and potatoes. Plenty of food for the price, but also kind of bland. The biscuit was different than expected. My husband picked this spot because he saw waffles on the website. This is a small kitchen and they change their menu items out so no waffle option and chicken and biscuit was the closest thing according to our server. The whole experience was okay. The music playlist was really good. We will likely come back for coffees but will sit at the bar next time!

Great service, very good food. French toast was my favorite, the biscuits are very different but good. Croissant breakfast sandwiches were flaky fresh and not over done. My only complant was the naked lady pictures were not centered in the wall but I have problems so.

Stopped by this coffee shop and had a really delicious matcha! It was perfectly smooth, rich, and just the right amount of sweetness. The atmosphere was amazing--relaxed, stylish, and the kind of place you could hang out for hours. Definitely my new favorite spot for a matcha fix

So fancy! I stopped by Parterre for a quick, light lunch before work. I felt a little self-conscious because I was the only one there, but I sat at the bar (my favorite spot) anyways. Everyone was super nice. I got a Salmon Bagel & Strawberry Matcha, which I suppose were a little pricey, but I expensed them for work so that really didn't matter to me. Both items were delicious! The Salmon Bagel ($16) had all the fixings--cream cheese, dill, capers, pickled red onions, and smoked salmon--on an everything bagel. I don't think it was caffeinated, but the Strawberry Matcha ($8.50) had strawberry, matcha, and milk. Would come back again, next time for cocktails. The seating situation is cute, too!

Steak Frites

The space is nice and they have live Jazz on Friday nights. I came here for a dinner party and the experience gave off that they weren't equipped to handle large parties or they simply weren't prepared that night even though the event was reserved in advance. Our waiter struggled to keep track of orders and appeared disorganized. Another waiter eventually stepped in to assist and he ended up doing a phenomenal job. He picked up slack and had more knowledge to offer about the menu. If not for our secondary waiter, we probably would have left a lot sooner, live Jazz be damned. The Food: I ordered Steak Frites and it was just what I needed in that moment. My medium steak was prepared perfectly and the fries were delicious. Did I mention how good the fries were? I didn't care for the broccolini that came out looking like garnish as opposed to an actual side. On top of that, it had an extreme crunch to it as if was roasted for too long... so disappointing.

He literally told me, "If a drop of rain comes, then I'll give it to you." It had rained for much of the day, and multiple customers were asking about the same promotion. If the requirement is that rain must physically be falling while you order, that needs to be clearly stated in the advertisement. Otherwise, the promotion feels misleading. I've been to Parliament several times and have never had a bartender interpret the rainy-day happy hour this way. I ended up ordering a smoked Old Fashioned from another bartender I've had before, and it was great. He was friendly, engaging, had great energy, and even did tricks while making the drink. I still enjoyed my cocktail, but it would've been nice to have the option to order from the happy-hour menu as advertised that day. I'm including the Instagram post for reference. I'm very disappointed as I've never not had a good time at Parliament. I really think that the owner should look at the Times stamps around 930 to 10:15pm part night and see the difference of business and traffic flow from when the taller bartender with the glasses versus the shorter Bartender with the glasses was at the front as it was instantly more business. Oh and lastly, I left my Betsy JOHNSON purple umbrella. I'm so sad and they don't have a number to call.

We checked in with the host and were quoted a 30-minute wait, which ultimately turned into 45 minutes. That said, once we were seated, the food came out pretty quickly. The Fried Brie is always a 10/10! The blueberry compote pairs beautifully with the brie, and I love that it's served with sliced baguette on the side. I ordered the Cacio e Pepe with added shrimp, while my husband went with the Bowen Cheeseburger. Unfortunately, the shrimp was extremely salty. I love a well-seasoned dish, but there's a difference between flavorful and overly salty. The seasoning completely overpowered the shrimp, so I ended up picking it off and enjoying the pasta on its own. The Bowen Cheeseburger was excellent, as always. Just keep in mind that you can't request it medium-rare since it's a smashburger. For dessert, I ordered a slice of cheesecake, which comes with the same blueberry compote served with the Fried Brie. It was delicious and earned a solid 9/10 from me! Overall, the food was great, as usual. Aside from the overly salty shrimp and the longer-than-quoted wait, we enjoyed our visit. I'd absolutely come back, especially for that Fried Brie!

Food, however, wasn't great, we came multiple times last year and it was fantastic all around, last night?... New risotto appetizer was flavorless 4/10, sauce was outstanding 9/10. Chicken meatballs were 6/10, salty, but sauce again was 8.5/10. Bread with the meatballs was 9/10. Nightly special was 9/10, chicken thigh wrapped chicken leg, amazing sauce and carrots. Special sauce with the nightly special stole the night at 9.5/10 - I'd order a bowl of that and call it a night! Magic Chicken Thighs were 6/10, overly salted and dry - side arugula salad was a salt bomb 2/10. Sweet potatoe purée was 7.5/10. Burger and fries were 7/10, solid and above average. Salmon was 7/10, slightly overcooked. Mac & Cheese was 3/10, below average, dry, almost flavorless - paid $4 for bacon topping and it was dry also. Noodles were dried out and the cheese sauce was at the bottom of the cup, tasted like they scooped in pre-made noodles, added sauce, threw it in the oven and off it went - didn't appear mixed together at the least. A Happy Hour Hidden Gem in Dallas!…read more We took a day trip to Dallas to see the circus and decided to pop into a nearby bar for drinks and small bites. Parking was a challenge, but we opted for valet and, at only $10, it was totally worth it! We originally planned to check out Bar Eden for happy hour but accidentally walked into Paradiso, which is connected. Bar Eden is a little smaller and has more of an intimate, speakeasy vibe, while Paradiso has a gorgeous, lively atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the happy hour specials were perfect for afternoon drinks--cocktails under $10! The margarita was delicious, and the other cocktails were just as pretty as they were tasty. One thing to know: it seems there's only one restroom, so the wait can be lengthy. BUT once you get inside, you'll understand why...because it's basically a girl's dream photo booth! Definitely plan a little extra time for the bathroom selfies. We didn't try the food this time, but the ambiance and music were on point. The outdoor seating is beautiful and elegant, although it was way too hot for daytime lounging during our visit. Overall, I'd absolutely come back--especially for happy hour! Great drinks, beautiful atmosphere, and plenty of photo-worthy moments.

After about 10 minutes my brother went up to the bar and asked if a server would be coming to take our order, and was told that they were busy (they did not look busy at all) but would get to us ASAP. Another 10 minutes went by and, as no one had still come to see us, we elected just to leave. They said nothing as we walked out of the restaurant. Aside from pulling up a chair on the (again, totally empty) patio, I have no idea what we did that could have made them so upset at us. The whole experience was really odd and super off-putting, particularly so as there was no communication at all from the wait staff.
