They supply you a small box so you don't have eat it immediately but isn't it always a little better as fresh as possible? The doughnut is a yeast one (opposed to a cake). It had some croissant feel to it as well which I enjoyed and seemed to result in less yeast taste which is my usual issue with this type of doughnut. They come with several topping options. I tried the maple bacon and hubs got the carnival one. The sugar frost on top can be a little much and I do wish the maple taste was a little more prominent on mine. Fantastic donuts! Had some for the first time as a gift from a vendor we were visiting in town after my boss was raving about how much he loved them. I fell in love with the Honey Glaze immediately! Walked over to parlor for our first official breakfast on vacay. The line wasn't too bad and it always helps when you're standing in the most heavenly smell of freshly baked donuts. They were not your average donut and they had the most amazing variety. We went with French toast and lemon. Omg amazing. Both were moan worthy. I ordered the mini doughnut special ahead of time of pick up, but alas they were sold out when I got there. HOWEVER, manager on duty was super apologetic about it and allowed me to choose any other doughnut in the store as a replacement, AS WELL AS gave us an additional one for the inconvenience. The yummies are delicious and despite it not being their fault (this joint is first come first serve as everything is baked fresh daily), they went out of their way to "Make it right", when honestly -- I ordered at 9:30a on a Saturday with both the Preds and Titans playing that weekend, so clearly there were a ton of people in town and visiting their location. 10/10. Really cute place attached to a lobby area of a hotel that has a lounge and game area! Great place to enjoy these delicious fluffy donuts! We got smores, confetti and a plain sugar donut and they were a hit. Donut base is perfectly browned super fluffy croissant like buttery donut. Heads up that the glazes are very messy and wet not like ur traditional hard shell glaze on a donut so grab extra napkins! I have no idea how they do it, but Parlor doughnuts are a mix between the best fried donut and the best croissant you have ever had. The glazes are magnificent and taste just as they are described. Unlike other donuts these stay fresh for a few days which is nice when you want an ongoing tasty treat. This location is small but packs a punch with their inventory and flavors per usual. The store itself is small and the inside doesn't have much room, so take them to go. There is a huge American flag that screams that parlor is proud to be an American (one of the many things to love about Nashville), and the place has a heavenly aroma. The prices are astronomical; not cheap! However, its worth every penny. You get what you pay for, and it this case it's damn good donuts! The service at this location was a bit disgruntled the day we visited, but maybe it was a bad day? He still got us what we wanted and we were happy. The glazed with coconut cream and powdered with jelly were my two favorites. There are regular sized donuts but I wanted to try different varieties. Service was good. Pretty good coffee and donut shop right next too/in the lobby of the hotel. They are only open from 7 am to 3 pm though so you have to get there before evening. When I was checking out must-try foods in Nashville, Parlor and Five Daughters came up. So what must the self-proclaimed foodie do? Grab both and do a taste test at the park, of course! It wasn't too busy on a Sunday morning, so I didn't have long to wait. I grabbed the raspberry pistachio and sandy beach (they said it was supposed to be similar to a cinnamon roll). Visited during our trip to Nashville and it was highly recommended by most of our research before the trip. We immediately knew it was a hot spot when we walked in and they only had two donuts left in the display case. We said "what the heck" and bought the last two. The young man working was very nice and welcoming and the shop was surprisingly smaller than we thought.they had a couple of tables to sit and enjoy your donuts. This doughnut shop was within walking distance of our hotel while we were visiting Nashville for a concert, and I am so glad we gave it a try! There was a line literally out the door of this place once we arrived and we could only assume it was for good reason. There were only about two people working in the shop who were very nice and bubbly despite the shop being so busy. They made sure to tell us they were happy to make any doughnut up fresh for us if we didn't see any in the case, which was great. We got three doughnuts and two iced caramel lattes. The donuts were delicious, flaky, sweet and croissant-like! Unlike any other donuts I've had before. I really liked how they had so many different types and how filling but not heavy the pastries were! Our coffees left a little to be desired however, they looked yummy but tasted pretty bitter in my opinion and didn't compliment the lovely donuts well at all. I would absolutely give this place 5 stars but I do wish it had better space for seating inside the parlor, as there were only about 2 small tables in there that were uncomfortable to sit in if there was a line. There was also no space to really sit comfortably outside either which was a bummer!
