Some donuts were a lot better than others in my opinion, the boston creme pie was the very best. The sweet swine didn't have enough maple for me and I kind of wish it had been smaller chunks of freshly cooked bacon - but either way we had a great time here. So I love the idea, seems like a great place to vibe. However the cashier that was working that day definitely didn't give the energy that she wanted to be there. Very dry, couldn't recommend anything and didn't have much to say when came to my questions about the menu options. I did like that you can literally pick one of each flavor. So here we go. 1. Date of visit: March 14, 2025 This was the meeting spot for our East Nashville Secrets Food Tour but we also needed something small as we reached the Distillery a bit early and decided to try a couple of donuts. When I told staff the reason for our visit, they told me exactly which ones we were going to get on the tour which allowed us to get some other ones, which I appreciated! All around staff were friendly and helpful. We went with the Reese's Peanut Butter, the Strawberry Lemonade, and the Homer D'ohnut. I loved both the Reese's and the Strawberry; the Reese's was served with a warm peanut butter drizzle, which frankly, all donuts should be served with! The Strawberry Lemonade had a surprisingly tasty zing of tartness that I wasn't expecting but I also did not dislike. My husband had the Homer and was a bit underwhelmed by the taste. When the tour started, we received a Fruity Pebbles and a Whiskey donut. We both thought the FP was outstanding but didn't love the Whiskey, not so much because of the taste but that the donut was..well, wet. And that was a bit off-putting to both of us. Next time I am in Nashville I would definitely consider coming to DD again and trying more donuts or some of their fun coffee drinks! read more

If you've never dined in before, what are you waiting for? This is the perfect spot to pair a drink with a treat. You get two bites per donut, which is enough to taste. Definitely wouldn't recommend if you are truly hungry. - it's $1 per donut, making it fairly expensive for what you get. - our table lost two screws while we were sitting there and the table nearly collapsed on us. Luckily the people next to us were leaving and we were able to move down. I wonder if they are busier on the weekends... we came on a Friday about noon and got the non-alcoholic coffee flights. The donuts were pretty good. I anticipated not liking rocky road per my flavor preference and I was correct, lol, but the rest were yummy. The chai tea latte was actually our favorite drink. The building/area looks pretty run down and we weren't really greeted warmly or friendly. Just overall "ok". The Mini Donuts were delicious, but I was bothered because when I ordered them, they served me the wrong donut (with bacon) and I do not eat pork for religious reasons. The concept of this place is what drew us here. We did go on a Monday so it was empty thus not sure what the vibes of this place are. I would say it could be cleaner and less dingy looking inside. The day we went it was hot out and really hot inside. There was a fan trying to keep this spot cool as the ac wasn't working it seemed. So the concept is definitely cool as I mentioned however we didn't think mimosa pairing was best matches. My family and I were visiting Nashville for the weekend and kept driving by this place, so one day on the way back to our Airbnb I decided to pull on in. When I walked in it was very much giving dive bar, and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I loved the neon donut sign on the wall and thought it was a cute place to take pictures. I was created immediately and warmly. When I told the employee that it was my first time being there, she gave me a very thorough run down and made some good suggestions. I decided to check out a dozen minis for us to sample. Anyone who knows me, knows that peanut butter is my life's fuel, so of course I made sure to try the Reese's donut along with the whisky glaze, cinnamon sugar, Boston creme, and sweet swine. My husband picked us up donuts and coffee from here for our group as it was in walking distance of our AirB&B. The donuts were amazing. He got a 25 pack of the mini donuts. Actually I think they are all miniaturize sized here. Donuts to me aren't worth the calories if they aren't great and these were totally worth it. We went to the Donut Distillery on a recent trip to Nashville! It was a stop on our Secret Food Tours - East Nashville tour. Such a great vibe! Loved the atmosphere and both donuts we got were incredible. The Whiskey Glaze donut is a Donut Distillery original made with TN whiskey. It was delicious - sweet, austere, soft, and subtle! It had just the right touch of whiskey, where it felt like an elevated glazed donut. My personal favorite was the Frosted Fruity for the nostalgia - it transported me back to being a child and eating my favorite cereal (fruity pebbles) with milk! It was perfectly sweet (without being too sweet). It had the perfect addition of the smooth, vanilla frosting (which wasn't overpowering) and the crunch of the fruit pebbles, which made every bite incredibly fun! We tried all the different donuts, except for the Sweet Swine. We got the Dulce de Leche instead. I truly don't think any of us had a favorite flavor. They were all super average.
