This is my second time visiting! They were really busy, but right outside, there were two staff members (sometimes they only have one). They work quickly and will even heat up your kolache for you. I paid $1.59 before tax for a vanilla sprinkled doughnut and $3.99 for a large jalapeño hotdog, which was probably the largest I've ever seen. Been going here for almost 4 years now and Donut Time still brings the heat when it comes to breakfast treats. My recent visit had me sampling their savory breakfast sandwiches. They offer both a biscuit and a croissant styled sandwiches. I got the croissant with bacon breakfast sandwich and it was delicious! The croissant was soft and flaky and loaded with bacon, cheese and a fried eggs. My arteries might be might be screaming in pain, but my tummy is applauding with delight. I have been on a donut binge lately with plans to try out different donut shops whenever I'm in the area. I love Donut Time in Mount Juliet. I talked to the owner briefly and the store had been open around a decade or more. By the time I got there at 1030, there were no glazed donuts left. I picked out a few donuts and sat down to eat one. The twist was really good. It was very traditional, moist, and moderately sweet. The dough was soft and fluffy with a mild hint of vanilla that seeped through. I ate these wonderful donuts throughout the day and strawberry cake was amazing! That night I dreamt of strawberry cake donuts dancing around my head with their bursts of candied strawberry fruit flavor offerings. Closed out my business trip with a donut. Every time I'm out of town I like to visit a donut or a cupcake shop. Donut Time did not disappointed. I got a flower blooming cinnamon roll (my name not theirs). It was delicious. I could smell the freshness through the bag. The cinnamon was present but not overwhelming. My first visit to Donut Time was to their shop in Lebanon (check out my review), which was very enjoyable. I really enjoyed meeting the owner, Randy, at their new location in Mt. Juliet and learning more about their business. I arrived late, so their trademark apple fritter was sold out, but I was still able to get their iconic Pinecone glazed donut, bavarian cream-filled maple bar, and chocolate iced old fashioned. These are good traditional donuts and fill an important gap in the greater Nashville and surrounding areas donut market. Recommend visiting either the Mt. Mount Juliet doughnut time on Mount Juliet road. This place is a hidden gem!!! Everything in the place is so delicious. I ate one of my favorites, apple fritter, there were so good I ate both of them. Mind you guys the four items I purchased we're supposed to be consumed with coffee over the next four days. So as I'm driving away from the shop, after eating both apple fritters, I try the blue berry doughnut and then the red velvet cake doughnut. I had eaten all four items in under ten minutes.
