They have my ultimate donut which is the chocolate cream filled Donuts and it is chocolate cream throughout the donut, not just right at the first bite and then there's nothing else, it is through the donut and I love it, love it. And the lemon filled is the same way. This is a cute doughnut shop with lots of seating. The bathrooms were clean and kept up. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The doughnuts were really good, especially the dough part. The icing was sometimes a little too sweet for my taste, but they were still quite good. read more

Hands down the best donut place we've found in all of middle Tennessee so far! Coming from California where the donut culture is strong, we'd been disappointed to only have Dunkin' Donuts or similar locations to choose from. A friend recommended we try donut country and our minds were blown. Seriously so good. We went in October, so we had some fall favorites, like pumpkin. They were so fluffy and pillow-y. And you could tell they were fresh. We didn't eat in the establishment, but went in to get the donuts. The person helping us was polite, but not talkative and the facility itself appeared to be very clean. This was our first time trying donut country. We got an apple fritter, a sausage biscuit, a ham biscuit, a bacon egg and cheese biscuit and an everything bagel with sausage egg and cheese. The fritter was dense and dry. The biscuits were pre-made and the sandwiches were microwaved until they were tough and chewy. One small slice of prepackaged thinly sliced ham. We decided to get a glazed donut to see if maybe we had just ordered the wrong menu items. It was okay- just average. The staff was friendly but we were extremely disappointed with the food. I was so happy to be in the area and make it to Donut Country. This happened to be on a Friday evening around seven. The shop is open 24 hours which was good, but there was not much to choose from. The problem with 24 hour shops is you never know if or when the donuts are fresh and the amount or selection of donuts that will be available. The whole process is a gamble if you randomly come in the afternoon. They just happened to be putting out a fresh batch of strawberry donuts as I was leaving but I missed it. I took my donuts home to eat later. It wouldn't have mattered if I ate them immediately because they were not fresh to begin with. Fresh or not, these donuts were not the best. They were to dense for my liking and the flavor was sub par. However, I had cake donuts and the raised donuts could have been much better. read more

first of all, donut's donuts are delicious My complaint is on my visit on January 4. I was supposed to receive $.62 change. The woman gave me $.60. I asked about the extra two pennies I was owed and was told they have any pennies. I said so you're just going to keep my two pennies and she said they were told that due to having no pennies, they would not be taking the hit themselves. she refused to give me a nickel. There were no signs stating their policy. I said so you're not going to be shorted, but you are OK with me being shorted. She again repeated they were told that the customer would not be given the nickel. There was no signage stating their policy. This was a decision made by their management. One cent, two cents, three cents, four cents and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of customers a week in their favor. I will have to say I was shocked. Pennies are still legal tender and they are obligated to pay the correct change. If they cannot, they should not have the expectation of making their customers pay it. I was disappointed to say the least. I canceled my order. I have no control over a penny shortage The consumer is not obligated to pay it, especially when there was absolutely no signage stating their policy. I expected more from Donut Country. read more

They are always sold out of what I would like to try (Boston crème/bavarian), in the last three times I've driven over, so I've never been able to actually try their donuts. By 10ish am this morning they were not only sold out again but for some reason told me they had one left and sold me a completely different donut than what I asked for. I ended up throwing it away as soon as I realized as that's not what I ordered as it's not something I like at all. It was a Twinkie type deal. Being sold out is one thing, but to let me buy a donut and get excited only to find that I paid for something I don't like at all... well that actually sucks. (Just because it's chocolate frosted on the outside doesn't mean I'll just be ok with a completely different filling, you know?) Making, selling, and knowing donuts is literally their business. Stopped here on a road trip. Service was great, we got there right before they started production for the second half of the day so our donuts were from earlier but they were still okay. I wish the maple had more a maple flavor but the filling was good, the texture was there and when the service is good it always makes the food taste just a little better. Donut country is not what it use to be. Maybe because there has been so many donut shops that have opened in the area since. This use to be one my go to places. The donuts here are too heavy for me. Every time I order 6-12 donuts, about half does not get eaten. I will have to just order 2-3 donuts from now on if I want to try them again. read more
