*Post-COVID review* I love donuts and felt like trying a new spot; went with this place based on the great reviews. Picked up a selection: 2 bavarian cream filled logs with chocolate icing, a yeast donut with chocolate icing, blueberry cake, chocolate cake, apple fritter and cinnamon roll. I was really impressed with the consistency of the donuts, especially the cake donuts, which were very fluffy. The chocolate cake was my favorite; unlike a lot of other places that have dense cake donuts, this one was like biting into an actual slice of soft, moist cake that happened to be in the shape of a donut and covered with icing. It wasn't too sweet either. The cinnamon roll was my second favorite; I warmed it in the microwave the next day and it was super delicious. Took off one star as a couple of the donuts had an odd aftertaste, like maybe the oil needed to be changed? Considering all the raves from other people, I'm going to assume this was a fluke. The lady who helped me was nice. They put up a plastic divider for pandemic precautions. It's located just off of Gallatin's downtown square.

Local donut shop that is really good. Family run. I have come here several times over the years but never checked in or reviewed before now. right in front of you, they make tasty cake and yeast donuts and have a wide selection of others: cinnamon roll, apple fritter, bear paw, long john, twists, etc. Not to dis the donuts but they also make breakfast sandwiches. I like them for a more filling breakfast.

Set out for Best Donuts to top off my beautiful Saturday morning of diving into a new book beneath my heated blanket and when I arrived...CLOSED! Before I had a panic attack, I quickly googled other donut shops in the area and Donut Palace came to my rescue!! Right down the street, Donut Palace doesn't look like much but don't be fooled...their display was full of the classic donut flavors we all crave. I ordered half a dozen and they kindly threw in some donut holes for free:) The donuts were just what I wanted--fresh and delicious! Will be my go-to donut joint now.

This place is the hidden gem of Gallatin. There donuts always taste fresh even at closing time. The cake donuts are slightly crispy and the original glazed donuts melt in your mouth. They always give us a few donut holes just to be nice! We go there about once a week for desert! I went to a donut shop in Murfreesboro today that based on their yelp reviews were suppose to be awesome. They don't hold a candle to the donut palace. I don't know why more people don't know about this place!!! Totally worth it! read more

We usually make the short drive to Dunkin Donuts, but today we decided to stop at an old school donut shop. So glad we did! I've heard how tasty Donut Palace is, but never did eat there until today. We split an apple fritter and each sampled a blueberry donut. They threw in two donut holes for free. The best donut holes I've ever tried and a pretty darn good apple fritter! The blueberry donut was awesome as well! $3.06 for all of it. We didn't stay to eat, but the restaurant looked clean. Friendly staff as well. Give this place a try. read more

For my first time visiting I was pretty disappointed. Will not return. Would rather go to dunkin. I was under the impression that they had a large selection of donuts only to see the basics. The donuts themselves were good is why they are getting 2 stars and not 1. For anyone who uses a sumner county smart card (scsc), be prepared to be told that they no longer accept them there. I'm sure there has to be something wrong with that. You shouldn't be able to get on a county wide discount group like that to bring in customers only to tell them they are no longer accepted. Well I already paid my yearly fee to get a 10% discount there. Wonder where I can get my $1.30 back from. read more

I can't describe in words the horrible way this monster of a woman has made me feel. Horrible woman, horrible business, save yourself the hassle and buy elsewhere. If you don't believe in human decency and want to be treated like a dog, this is the place to go. I can't be more serious, this woman is the devil in human form, stay far far away.

Although they don't have any of the specialty donuts that some stores offer, they have all of the traditional donuts you come to expect -- old fashioned, glazed, sprinkles, cake, twists, and coffee rolls. They also have kolaches (spicy and regular). I always grab my donuts to go, but there are chairs and tables to enjoy your donuts in the store. The dining area is basic and somewhat sterile, but it gets the job done. Gourmet Donuts also sells a variety of cold drinks and hot coffee if you're thirsty or need a drink to go. They sometimes sell out of donuts, but you can call Tony and he'll set aside the donuts you want. There's also a drive thru window if you don't want to come inside.

Raised donuts are soft and airy and tender. The ones we got were on the firm side, a bit dense and not airy. Even tasted like old oil. More like a donut you'd buy in a grocery store bakery. I don't understand how a donut place, that famous for donuts, can serve that.
