a display of donuts in a bakery

I stopped in here because it seemed like everyone was coming in and out of this place so I had to try it out. The selection they had was amazing! The maple bacon long john had a whole piece of bacon on top! Now that's how a maple bacon doughnut should be. The flavor was amazing and the lady behind the counter was so nice!

Very friendly service and the location was very clean. The presentation of donuts and pastries was very inviting and I had a hard time deciding on what to buy. I did buy a chocolate covered donut wit chocolate chips and a cinnamon roll. They were fresh and great texture and tasted good. Definitely a great place to go back to.

There is a Mystery Donut Fairy at my work that has made glazed donuts magically appear next to our coffee maker TWICE in the last month! I couldn't resist trying them despite being "on a diet" and was blown away - tender and flavorful, just the right amount of glaze. They weren't warm but arguably better than a Krispy Kreme glazed donut from the conveyor belt when the "HOT" sign is on - possibly a blasphemous thing to say, but I said what I said! The first time the MDF brought these, the boxes were unlabeled, which made the whole situation even more magical. The second time around, one of my coworkers figured out that Donut Palace made these fluffy nuggets of deliciousness! To be fair, I have only had the glazed donuts so far - but if I am ever in the Hermitage area, I will be visiting and eating the whole store. Thanks Mystery Donut Fairy!

The doughissant is the must try at the Donut Palace along with the old fashioned. The doughissant is a play on the famous and trademarked Cronut, but this version tastes just as good if not better than the original. Layers of flaky crust, glazed and coated in sugary goodness! I could have eaten two! We also tried the old fashioned, glazed chocolate donut, donut holes, and a sausage and cheese kolaches. The donut holes were awesome and the old fashioned donuts are always a solid choice, but the glazed chocolate was a little dry and oddly flavorless. The kolaches were delicious! My son and I had one and after trying a bite, my wife went back to the counter and bought one for herself. A kolaches is basically, "pigs in a blanket". Warm pillowy dough wrapped around a hot dog or a spicy hot-link. A great savory option in a sea sweet treats. This will definitely be our go to donut spot for those lazy Saturday and Sunday mornings.

One of the few shops in the area with a doughnut/ croissant that is actually good. Prices are good, staff is friendly, it is more of a small town doughnut shop feel than the more popular trendy places opening up. Which for me personally makes it that much better

This place is a-okay! It is a good local donut shop, with a variety of typical donut flavors. They even have kolaches! They are a bit different, much bigger, than I am used too, but good nonetheless. I especially like the jalapeño cheddar one! I will be getting that one again. The doughssant is just ok, I wouldn't buy it again. The Five Daughters layered donuts are much better. You can definitely taste the difference, in the quality of ingredients. Overall, I will be back whenever I want a typical donut.

This small little donut bakery is located in one of Hermitage's oldest shopping centers! I can imagine baking donuts is a hard job, let alone running the business...it's one of those jobs that starts in the wee hours of the morning so that the donuts are freshly made daily! Yeu, the owner, serves not only your common popular donuts, but he also serves donuts with bacon on top, apple fritters, pigs in a blanket, breakfast pastries, and kolaches....in addition to these yummy treats...he makes doughssants....they are what seems to be a scandalous marriage of a donut and a croissant...!!!!!!!! Need I say more? Yeah...you heard me. A doughssant! Worth the trip just to eat one of these! Prices are considerably cheap! The doughssants are only $1.99 each! The regular donuts are about $.60 each! These sweet donuts are my favorite treats to buy for my kid's school teachers...and they love them! Coffee also served here!

Atmosphere is ok. Doughssant, super nice staff, and other doughnuts make up for it. My family crushed 5 doughnuts and a Ham/Cheese Roll. Don't let location or inside fool you, this place has the goods. Very busy too! They were so nice and gave us extra doughnuts for our travels. Don't miss out on this local gem!!!

    Cheap tasty donuts.

McGaugh's is your classic, no frills donut shop that is more nostalgic than fancy. The space is outfitted with old school decor, flooring and vibes. There are a few tables, a cooler, small condiment station and a counter, and that is enough! In addition to the public space, there is a view in to the kitchen, where all the donut magic occurs. Knowing what I know about this place, I was after the blueberry donuts and ended up with two of those, plus a classic chocolate glazed and an iced mocha. The blueberry glazed was the better of the two blueberry, which included a non-glazed. The non-glazed was a bit flat and also had a tinge of artificial flavoring. The classic donut with chocolate frosting was the standout for me. Light, airy, delicious and absolute perfection! While they are not known for their coffees or are technically a coffee house, I have to speak on the iced mocha...which was not great. This sounds really weird, but it tasted like how a cigarette smells. I know, really odd, but also spot on as I had someone else taste it and they said the same thing. The coffee was only $3, which I appreciated given the taste. So, it wasn't a total loss. Service was friendly, helpful and patient. Given my first visit, I took a few minutes to see what all was to offer. They also have a drive thru, which is convenient and useful now that I know what I would be after here. Pricing for 3 donuts and a coffee ended up around $8, which is pretty rad and rare, so I will take it! Overall, McGaugh's is a solid neighborhood and local donut spot! Glad to have finally popped in. Will definitely be back!

They also have kolaches (spicy and regular). I always grab my donuts to go, but there are chairs and tables to enjoy your donuts in the store. The dining area is basic and somewhat sterile, but it gets the job done. Gourmet Donuts also sells a variety of cold drinks and hot coffee if you're thirsty or need a drink to go.
