My bf and I go to Best Donuts every week:) The owner is so kind, and the donuts are always fresh. Honestly the best donuts in summer county. We asked for a dozen glaze and he gave us this

Great donuts from an independently owned place. It sits behind a Dunkin that moved in and still gets the business.

She was really sweet and offered great recs to my husband. We both got the scrambler bowl, made our own ways. After looking at the waffle flavors, I had to get one of those as well. I was a little surprised when the scrambler "bowls" came out. They were more of omelettes on top of country potatoes with toast on the side. They were still great, but not what we were expecting (scrambled eggs with our ingredients mixed in). I opted for the cinnamon apple waffle which was absolutely incredible! It tasted like fall in my mouth. Mixed with the crisp weather outside, it made me wish we were in October already! I will say, if you do get a waffle and aren't a "sweets" person, go with a regular or something less extravagant. The apple topping was decadent, but it was incredibly rich. I was glad I had the country potatoes and my omelet to offset some of the sweetness. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained. It was very modernly decorated. The bathroom was fine, nothing special. The toilet seat of the stall I went into was not particularly clean, and the toilet itself was wobbly.

But so many other reviews were positive and my hubby was dying for a burger. Our server was ?Maples? She was kind, fast and brought drink refills with perfect timing, even though she had multiple tables, including a large party of 7 or more. Hubby had the Mojo burger and liked it. My kiddo had a standard burger, she said it was good. Her fries were a little cool. Not cold, but not warm. We also got an order of wings, and loved them. I had thr fried chicken with fried okra and sweet potato fries. The fries were meh, but the okra and chicken were excellent. I would definitely recommend the fried chicken! Written reviews matched our secondary experiences. The service was disjointed, and uncoordinated, and the food, should have never been brought to the table. But the claims of, "Under New Management", offered some hope of reviving the standards that had previously earned their namesakes, reputation and growth. This morning's breakfast experience was an astounding disappointment. Greeted and seated by cordial, pleasant staff, we were a party of 3, occupying only the second table, at 9:15 AM. (That emptiness itself should have been a hint of what was to come.) It took much longer than expected just to get coffee and water. Still longer, to place an order, and nearly half-an-hour for the actual meal service. The quality of the food, was nothing short of astonishingly poor. Most notably, cold. Considering there were only two tables occupied in the entire dining room, the cold servings were the first indication of coordination, communications, process, and standards shortfalls. The food preparation showed the skillsets of a 12 year-old, trying to mimic Mom's kitchen routine. How can a restaurant cook not do toast? It was white bread, with a slightly stiff outer layer. Most people would describe it as, "stale bread"; not toast. The pancakes served with the "Lieper's Fork Favorite", were beyond belief. Three hard little discs, served cold, with chilled hard pats of butter, and NO syrup. I actually demonstrated to the very nice server, that the pancakes could NOT be cut with a fork. Again - could NOT be cut with a fork! Come on... They're PANCAKES! Not a single bite could be sampled, without the utility of a knife. I am not a small person. I tried three places around the brown discs to acquire a bite. Țhe effort was foreboding enough. Ì surrendered. The scrambled eggs and bacon were edible, though lacking temperature, and uncaring presentation. When the server saw that the pancakes were as fork resistant as a Frisbee, she took the plate to the kitchen manager. He was a nice, apologetic young man, who acknowledged that the pancakes were "Overcooked on one side..." He did offer to make more. I declined. I told him I sincerely appreciated his offer. But the issue was much deeper, than plastic pancakes. As indicated by the lack of clientele in a fairly large restaurant, there was a blinding flash of the obvious. They were squandering the owner's investment. The kitchen staff lacked the skillsets to produce the simplest traditional American Breakfast - and - the wisdom to refrain from placing it up for service. The plating looked SO incredibly bad, that it was obvious that both standards and personal pride were totally absent. The staff was nice. Ignorance is curable. Training, processes, and well established standards can develop nice people into effective business associates. It's not their fault. They have NO leadership directions. The owners have let them down. Țhose owners have had ample signals and time to cure these maladies. They have a model, in their other facilities - that's how / why they opened more than one restaurant. But those owners are apparently oblivious to the signals of absentee management, process inconsistency, and the gross lack of product standards, leading to failure. To those nice people working at Puckett's, I have a sincere recommendation. The best time to find a job, is when you already have one. Your current employer is going to fail; sooner rather than later. They will surely continue with their communications shortfalls. They will not tell you in advance. They will simply let you go when they finally lock the doors. Take care of yourself. FInd an employer who has a distinct business survival plan. Such plans, include coordination, process leadership, training, and holding a team accountable to perform to the standards they were trained to. You're not getting that.

The menu was surprisingly impressive; I had trouble choosing because everything sounded so good! When the food arrived, it definitely lived up to expectations. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It is one of those places where the simplicity of the space is completely overshadowed by how delicious the food is. I ordered the Taffy Apple French Toast and it is easily one of the most unforgettable breakfast dishes I have ever had. This is comfort food elevated to pure magic. The French Toast arrives piled high with fresh sautéed apples, warm and perfectly tender, coated in cinnamon sugar that gives every bite the cozy flavor of fall. The pecans add the perfect crunch, and the finishing drizzle of caramel ties everything together like a dessert disguised as breakfast (zero regrets). The thick-cut bacon on the side? Smoky, crisp, and the ideal salty counterpart to all that sweetness. Every bite is balanced, indulgent, and completely worth the trip (and calories). Edit is a place I genuinely want to see succeed, and there is so much here that's done really well…read more I've been multiple times now, including Mother's Day, a date night with my husband, and most recently with my neighborhood girlfriends for an early Galentine's celebration. The atmosphere is consistently one of its biggest strengths. It's cozy, warm, stylish, and inviting, the kind of place that feels like a true local hangout. The cocktails are out of this world, the wine flights are excellent, and the space itself feels special for Hendersonville. It's also helpful to understand the concept behind the food. Edit does not have a traditional kitchen. The menu is prepared offsite each morning in a commissary kitchen and delivered fresh, with select items reheated behind the bar. When it works, it really works. You would never guess that the fondue with caramelized onions, gruyere, and black truffle starts cold. It comes out melty, rich, and delicious. The whipped feta is another standout and honestly lives rent free in my mind. Where things have been more hit or miss is execution. Across visits, there's almost always one or two things that keep the experience from feeling truly five star. Sometimes a dish isn't heated through quite enough, sometimes service pacing is slower than expected, and occasionally both happen on the same visit. You can tell a lot of care goes into preparing the food earlier in the day, which makes it frustrating when it doesn't quite land as intended once served. Service has also varied depending on the night. There's a strong sense of community here, and it's clear that many locals are regulars who know the staff well. That can be really lovely, but at times it has felt a bit distracting, especially when long conversations behind the bar slow down drinks or food for table guests. On one visit, delays were significant enough that my husband and I decided to close out early and eat elsewhere. On other visits, including our most recent one, the experience was overall enjoyable but still a little uneven. That said, the vision behind Edit is compelling. Getting to hear the story behind the restaurant and the intention to raise the bar in Hendersonville made me root for it even more. You can feel the passion, creativity, and desire to build something special here. I'm giving four stars because I genuinely think Edit is amazing, but every time I've gone there have been a few things that keep it from feeling like a true five star experience. These feel like very fixable, foundational issues, and if they were tightened up, this would easily be a five star spot in a heartbeat. I plan on continuing to come back, because my hope is that each visit gets closer to that mark, and the moment it does, I'll gladly update this to five stars. If you're on the fence about trying it, definitely go. And if you're just stopping in for a drink, absolutely do it. The cocktails are exceptional, the wine flights are fun, and some of the appetizers are truly memorable. Just plan for a relaxed pace and enjoy your time there. It's a wonderful place to linger, especially if you're not on a tight schedule or racing a babysitter clock.

The space is beautiful, clean, and open, making it perfect for a date. At first glance, it looks like a stylish coffee shop with high-end espresso machines, but it also has a full bar and gorgeous décor. It was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night, which made us a little hesitant, but the service quickly won us over. The bartender and waiter were both friendly and attentive. We ordered both the beef and chicken sliders, plus two cocktails--the Common Problems (gin-based) and the Jungle Bird. The drinks were excellent, especially the gin cocktail--botanical forward. So good! The chicken slider was flavorful with a great coleslaw, but the beef slider tasted like frozen sliced meat on a nicely toasted bun--good, but nothing special. The standout dish was the roasted carrots with whipped feta, hot honey and pistachios--absolutely delicious and apparently not ordered often. Y'all better order those carrots! Prices are on the higher side, but the ambiance and drinks make it worth it. I'd definitely return for the cocktails and those incredible carrots.
