The cashier was possibly the rudest man I've ever met. After asking him where the vodka was, he swore at us using the F word. he is a miserable person and should be fired on the spot. It is crazy that the customer service was absolutely non-existent. Poor man had to work for a minute. read more

Don't let the people outside scare you. Inside the dude was friendly and helpful what I was looking for something I can't find at home. He explained some of the local whiskeys but some were a bit pricey to take a chance on. I almost left without a purchase, but decided on a George Dickel Bottled in Bond which I've had trouble finding. I'm limited to one with having to fly home. It's always fun looking to see what's new. They had wine, sparkling wine, multipacks of beers and seltzers in addition to the spirits. When you ask what's up they'll walk over to the bottle and will move the price tag over to the next bottle. CRIMINAL!! It happened both times I bought Liqour there. Price gouging at its finest. Prices were at minimum 30-40 percent higher than anywhere else. In addition the individual working in the afternoon I stopped by seemed put upon while I was walking around the store/to wait on me. Came in from out of town to get something sweet. The guy behind the counter deserves an award for amazing customer service. Before he walked through the store helping me look for something, he had to deal w a guy who was shirtless and maskless. He was very professional in his dealings with us both. The selection was good if you wanted wine or hard liquor. Didn't pay much attention to the prices. Rip-off central. Cheapest bottle of wine is over $20, with most over $40. I picked up a little 4 pack of Sutter Home wine which he scanned and told me was $9.99. I put it back on the shelf looking for a cheaper bottle of wine but as there wasn't any, I picked up the Sutter Home 4 pack again. When he rang it up, it was now over $14. SOBO is the ONLY liquor store in the Area. Which makes you pay for overpriced items. The staff was actually telling me the prices were being raised because they were highering extra staff which means the customer is paying for this. I asked for Red Wine & lady guided me to the mini bottles of Sutter Homes! There were 2 cans of some unknown winery. Thought I would take my chances. No price on them , so i ended up paying $19.99 for two mysterious cans of wine. BOTH were skunked or just horrible??? Tons of White Claw. If that's your thing. read more

Store is over priced, dirty and the woman cashier was VERY rude to everyone who walked in. Regret supporting and buying from this store but there was nothing else close by. Finding a good wine store while traveling is a challenge, even more so when in a downtown area of Nashville. This great little store had a fabulous choice of wines. Huge organic selection. It was a super laid back southern "bar type" vibe but definitely could cater to every palate looking for a particular drink. This establishment had a few other things that made it soecial. A classic choice, in small wedges of delicious cheeses. Some good appetizer packages, even just great chips if it was just that kind of night. Very reasonable prices to be in the heart of Nashville high brow pocket books. I was impressed by the kindness and friendly service the store owners and staff treated everyone. Even the fun yet racous bachelor party group from New York. Great job, and I will shop there when in Nashville in late August. 5 star, southern service, gentleman manners. Thank you!! read more
