Before I left Nashville to head back home, I decided to stop by Five Daughters Bakery. I wanted to see what the buzz was all about. And boy it lived up to the buzz and more!!! I got four croughnuts: 2 Brownie Batters, The Purist, and Vanilla Cream. Two of them were for me, and two were for my aunt back home. I tried the Brownie Batter first. It was great!!! The chocolate was perfect on the top and inside with the filling. Then, I had the Vanilla Cream. It's not like a funnel cake. But it was still great. My aunt loved the croughnuts as well. They cost more than typical donuts like Krispy Kreme and Dunkin'. But the prices were well worth it. The atmosphere was really pretty and cozy. The staff was wonderful. As far as parking was concerned. I was lucky to park out front since it wasn't crowded on a Monday morning. I will come back for more!!!
Cute little donut spot in the walkable area of the Gulch. Their claim to fame is 100 layers. We were there late in the day so the options were pretty slim, so I chose a mini-Purist. It was $2.75. The employees were nice and courteous but that was it. We took the donut and coffee to go; they were both decent. The space was really cute; it was fun
Overall: Great for a sweet treat :) Got the matcha and the mini cinammon bun. The matcha was okay (not a lot of flavor) but I would definitely come back for the pastries! Service: Quick and easy! Staff is nice. Ambiance: You can get your food to go or sit down inside! It is very cute and clean inside, with a very cute pink theme!
Oh my gosh this place was phenomenal!!! So good we actually went two separate times during our trip to Nashville. Their 100 layer donuts are literally to die for. Cute inside, not much seating, but great service. Will absolutely go back to try new flavors. Wide variety of options!
When there's a line out the door, you know you need to try it! The line moved quickly, the staff were very helpful and friendly, and the donuts were delicious! We appreciated the gluten-free options for our GF eater. We enjoyed sitting outside and sampling our donuts. We tried a selection of 100 layer and yeast raised. I think we might try the minis next time so we can try more flavors! Everything we tried was very good.
I had been seeing Five Daughters Bakery all over TikTok, so I knew I had to check it out when I was in Nashville, and it definitely lived up to the hype. I tried the carrot and vanilla crème donuts, and both were delicious. The vanilla crème donut had a ton of flaky layers and a really rich, smooth vanilla flavor that wasn't overly sweet. You can tell a lot of care goes into how these are made. But the carrot donut completely stole the show for me. The combination of the soft donut with the cream cheese filling was unreal. It was perfectly balanced and honestly one of the best donuts I've had. Staff were friendly and the store was very well kept. Very pink! It is a bit on the pricier side, but for the quality and uniqueness, I'd say it's worth it. I'd definitely come back to try more flavors next time.
Some foodie stops live up to the hype... and then there's Five Daughters Bakery in the 12 South neighborhood that completely exceeds it. This spot was a must-visit on our Nashville trip, and I can confirm... I'm still dreaming about those famous 100-layer doughnuts. They're like the perfect cross between a pillowy croissant and a doughnut, with flaky layers and the most decadent fillings. We tried the King Kong, The Huckleberry, The Purist, and the Chocolate Sea Salt, and every single one was delicious and totally different from the next. The Purist actually ended up being my favorite (which surprised me!) -- sometimes simple and classic just wins. The Huckleberry was a very close second with the perfect sweet berry flavor. If you ever find yourself in Nashville or Atlanta, do yourself a favor and stop by. The bakery is set up inside the cutest little house on a side street and a patio just begging for a sit outside to enjoy the beautiful Tennessee sunshine. The staff was all incredibly nice and was great in guiding us on what to get. Trust me... it's worth the drive and every extra calorie.
Five daughters is a bakery you have to check out if in Nashville! There is a beautiful story to go along with the beautiful donuts! When you walk in you are met with an esthetically pleasing space that displays merch you can buy and nice pink boxes stacked to the ceiling (in a good way). Then as you round the corner the staff greats you with smiles and pleasantries! The donuts are the star of the show, the cases. Are perfectly displaying the many flavors! We got an assortment of flavors a few were the raspberry lemon cheesecake, the purist, maple glazed, and cinnamon cheesecake. They were all delicious. I will say we got there a little after opening and ate most of them fresh, the donuts we ate the next day did not hold up as well just in the box. They do have some unique flavors and a lot of the donuts have croissant layers, which makes for a unique bite! I would recommend the if you are in the Nashville area you try Five daughters bakery for yourself, maybe consider going early because they tend to sell out of flavors early!
Hundred Layer donut? Don't mind if I do! Keep it simple and order the Vanilla Crème. They have minis and regular size donut. I didn't love the apple fritter- not a whole lot of apple flavor and a little greasy. But the Lemon Icebox and the Purist (think glazed) were quite pillow-y perfection. So darn cute inside, too.
This bakery has been on my list for years. I didn't get a chance to stop by last year but I had a few hours to myself and stopped by for coffee and a donut at one of their downtown locations. TBH my expectations were low because a lot of times when you see aesthetically pleasing photos of pastries on social media the food isn't always great. However, the donut I had exceeded my expectations and I'm upset I didn't buy another one to take with me for later. I got The Purist which is a no frills donut, just their signature layered dough with a glaze. It was so soft and fluffy and I'm daydreaming about how good it was as I type this. Service was great. Coffee was alright.

The flavored lattes and mochas are a tasty caffeinated add-on, and I also like when they have one-day-old cookies sold for $1 each. Note there are seating options at this location, making it convenient for dine-in or to-go.
Great customer service! Explained the donut process and what makes them special. The donuts were so flakey and butter and fresh. Absolutely delish and had a great atmosphere and super instagramable graphics inside and outside. Highly recommend these treats. The cookies looked so yummy too... next time I will try them for sure. They also offer drip and ice coffee only at this location (no espresso) but it was still good.
Five Daughters Bakery is the Gulch is a must visit when in the area! My friend and I stopped in here as she heard they had gluten free options, and they sure did as well as a great line up of non-gluten free donuts too. I tried the mini blueberry donut and it was absolutely delicious! The shop was so cute and has cozy seating indoors as well as patio seating outside. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly. I'd highly recommend stopping in to any of their locations!
Some very cool donuts. Would definitely get again. We tried a couple mini donuts as we were just passing through. I especially liked the mini cinnamon crunch - it had this delicious cinnamon sugar throughout it and i liked the crunch from the little white chocolate balls and rice krispies. The brownie batter cupcake was also good but I don't think it needed the frosting on the interior. I just wanted more of the chocolate frosting on top and more brownie batter. The classic was fine, well done but nothing unique. Would definitely order again! read more

Tried the donuts at Five Daughters Bakery while visiting Nashville and wow... totally worth the hype! Their famous 100-layer donut is on another level--super flaky, buttery, and rich with so much flavor in every bite. You can really tell the quality and effort put into it. It's definitely more of a treat-yourself kind of donut, but absolutely unforgettable. Not from here, but if I ever come back to Nashville, this spot is a must-stop again! read more
Expensive, but a Nashville staple. Just get an 100 layer doughnut if you have never had one. It's worth at least one. The iced teddy graham latter was decent. 6/10 - nothing spectacular, but better than a chillebrew at killbrew coffee. read more
My wife and I are still having dreams about their donuts... I have a fear I will have to travel back to Nashville just to taste their donuts again. Quick service, and a place where you can order and go or sit in a great atmosphere. Wife got the chocolate sea salt donut, and I got the chocolate chip cookie dough. Both were amazing, although the lean on the winning order went to the wife. I have had donuts back since returning to Denver and I get sad thinking about Five Daughters donuts... Skip your vacation workout, this is a great, unhealthy breakfast to start out the day, we will definitely hit up one of the locations on a return visit, The Gulch is a cool area to wander around when digesting the massive amount of sugar you just ate, and see you there... read more
Oh YUMMM. This place lives up to the hype! I wasn't too hungry, so I opted for a mini donut. I wish I could transport myself back here for one more bite. It was absolutely fantastic. I'm not normally much of a donut person, but this 100 layer donut was decadent. read more
At first bite, it was a frickin mazing! Messy, but amazing. The strawberry lemon shortcake and the mini glazed did now disappoint. We had just eaten and meant to take a bite, and I almost didn't get a picture. It was croissant like with just enough sweet and tart. Soft and fluffy. I'm only taking away a star because on the second trip, the white chocolate raspberry was a little dry and underwhelming. They were also out of donut holes which was a bummer. For me, among designer doughnut shops, this wasn't all that. I had a chocolate-covered doughnut (with sprinkles... don't judge) and coffee. The texture of my huge doughnut was as promised, amazingly fluffy and full of layers/holes. However, it didn't have much flavor. The coffee was a bit overpowering. We timed our visit perfectly. When we got there, the place was empty and we were served right away. Five minutes later, the line was out the door. I guess everyone needs to visit here once, and judging by their popularity, they must also see a lot of repeat business. However, it wasn't good enough for me to want to return. read more
A Nashville staple! My girlfriend and I come here pretty often on weekends for a breakfast treat. Staff is always friendly and the doughnuts/coffee are always great. You need to try their 100 layer doughnuts; they aren't your average doughnut at all. The flavors are always great, especially the Samoa, PB&J, their coffee flavored; you really can't miss! We went here via a recommendation from the folks at the Rustler Hat Co. They explained how the coffee was extremely strong and the donuts there were so delicious that you had to be careful of not eating six by yourself. So myself and a colleague went to grab a quick afternoon snack. We were there probably around 3:45 and it was pretty busy. There were roughly eight other guests in the store and the individual behind the counter was working extremely hard to take orders, make drinks, get the different Donuts people were asking for, and still do it all with a smile. I ended up getting one of the pre-made drinks at was done with oat milk. And it was extremely delicious. The oat milk really brought out the flavors of the coffee which is something I really admire in pre-can drinks. My colleague ordered a latte for herself. She appreciates her drinks being on the sweeter side, and it was definitely made perfect for her as she finished almost half of it on the walk back to the store. I ended up getting one of the small donuts to try it out considering the warning we got from the folks at the hat Co. It is definitely delicious. It might have been because it was more towards the end of the day. The donut didn't taste as fresh and it felt like it needed just a little bit more glaze on it. My suggestion there is try to go when they are fresh out the oven so you can experience all the flavors. Other than that overall good experience, and I would definitely say potentially having one more person there to help would be nice. read more
I first tried Five Daughters Bakery years ago and fell in love, so I knew I had to get my hands on their 100-layer cronuts again during my visit to Nashville. My friends and I were shopping in the area, so we decided to stop in to this store. The store is cute and welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered the following: Blueberry lavender cronut Salted caramel yeast Snowcap cookie Cold brew Though I absolutely love their cronuts, I opted for just one cronut because I also wanted one of their yeast donuts as well as a cookie. We had just had a hearty brunch two hours before so I wasn't overly hungry. The treats were intended for later. However, I was ready for a second cup of coffee, so I ordered a smooth cold brew as well. The donuts were just as good as I remembered! I missed them so much. It was my first time trying the cookie, and it was amazing. I'm so glad I got to enjoy Five Daughters Bakery donuts again while in Nashville! read more
Our second time here. And we have now been to two of your locations; see other Yelp review. Quality/Quantity - Purist - Interesting. Just tasted like a glaze donut to me??? I could not taste the 100 layers? Is this a wanna be "cronut?" Vanilla Creme - Okay, my family really liked the creme, but it was not my taste. Pumpkin Spice Latte - We thought this would be our favorite, but the flavor was off. Not a pumpkin flavor we are used to...? Maybe due to the spice...? Spice Apple Glaze - My daughter's and my favorite. Best and most flavorful. Atmosphere - Small bakery. Single stall unisex bathroom. Could use a stronger fan... Or some air fresheners. Open 7 days a week from 7am or 8am until sold out. From my experience, they have little to no good donuts left after 5pm. Service - Good. Greeted us when we entered, thanked us on the way out. Called for extra help when it got busy. Price - $13. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success with this location this year and your 10 total locations. We stopped and got a donut on one of our trolley stops. The building itself was easy to find and super clean. We got the chocolate 100 layer donut and it wasn't the best. I've had better personally. Kind of hard to eat. They had minis and regular size as well. Also got a coffee and it wasn't anything to brag about. read more

My husband and I went early evening, so there weren't many options available, so next time we come back we will have to go right when they open! Our goal was to try the infamous 100 layer donut, which I believe is called The Purist, and it has got to be one of the most delicious donuts we have had! I kind of regret not going back before we left Nashville and taking some back home. We also got the Pumpkin Spice Latte, which was good aside from the filling. It almost reminded me of baby food...? The flavor of the icing and dough was great, but we avoided the filling because it wasn't our favorite, y'all it just didn't taste the greatest. The Mini Vanilla Cream and Mini Spiced Apple Glaze were okay, they were a little stale, but obviously it was nearing closing time when we went. Honestly though, the star was for us was The Purist. My husband is very particular on his glazed donuts, and he will always compare my homemade donuts to any other bakery, so him saying he enjoyed them from here says a lot! We will be back! read more

Girl imgo idk where to start. I sashayed my way inside 30 minutes before closing to 2 girls cleaning. One came up to the donuts and didn't say a word to me. Flavors looked basic and boring for an LA city gurl like me hunny. Anyways i got a donut and wanted a coffee hunty but they said they aren't serving coffee anymore tonight uh okay sashay away like I need my coffee bc I'm but it's cold so I wanted it hot and she didn't care omg. So I took my donut hunny and I'll tell you right now that donut was so sweet I think I got a cavity. It tasted very process like it had 100 ingredients in it. The bathroom was on another level of disgusting. Cacita on the toilet and pee everywhere. No toilet paper to wipe hunny I needed it after eating that. This ain't five daughters it's FIVE SONS . We heard so much about Five Daughters Bakery so we decided to pay it a visit. Unfortunately they ran out of the apple fritter donuts we wanted to try, so we settled for a Pumpkin Spice Latte mini donut. I did not care for it at all. There was way too much cream on the outside and in the inside. Especially since it's a mini donut, the cream was too overwhelming for the small amount of dough. The flavor was okay. I'd like to come back one day to try more of their donuts, but for now I left feeling a bit disappointed. read more

It was a lovely quiet afternoon and i have been to the Five Daughters Bakery in the Factory in Franklin but it was my 1st time here. The donuts are all good so you can't go wrong with any selection. And dining in this lovely cozy spot is just absolutely divine. There is also 1hr free parking provided by Metropolis. A nice little sweet treat for sure read more

I was exploring Nashville and killing some time, and I decided to pop in here. I had just come from brunch so I wasn't hungry, but I decided to have a tasty London fog tea latte, it was delicious! I also appreciated that I could just sit and relax and enjoy my tea. The donuts looked amazing and they had many visitors!
