Cute donut shop in Nashville! Definitely recommend if in the area. The donuts are a fun mix between croissants and donuts as the dough is very flaky! Service was relatively quick in the afternoon. Would highly recommend if in the area (especially the milk chocolate!)
Simple donut shop, with some of the best donuts I've had in a while. Service is quick, and ambiance is relaxed. Had seating inside for small groups. Been here a couple times, since it's around the corner from my hotel. Had a couple donuts and also had a couple lattes.
Super yummy donut. Definitely worth a stop. Has also a croissant texture inside donut compared to a class one. Flakey interior. The purist was really good and the frosting was not overpowering at all. Service was quick and kind. No place to eat inside at this location though.
Stopped by here for a few donuts on our way back to our hotel after dinner. They're located right by the second level of the Assembly Food Hall though they have their own storefront. We came later in the day so I wasn't sure how stocked they would be but they had everything available. Their signature item is the cronut with a variety of fillings and flavors in two sizes, regular and mini. I'm big on trying a lot of things so I like they had the mini options but since I was splitting them with my husband we decided to go for the larger ones, which made our tab a little higher. In the end we landed on the vanilla glaze (The Purist) , chocolate sea salt, vanilla cream, tiramisu, and a mini cinnamon cream cheese for science. Everything was SO good. I really love just a plain glazed donut so the Purist hit the spot. The chocolate sea salt was probably my second fave and I'd absolutely get a full sized mini cinnamon cream next time. We saved the vanilla cream and tiramisu for the next day and both held up really well! Sometimes donuts get stale but between the cream on top of the vanilla and piped of inside of both it was still great! The only thing holding me back from 5 stars is the price. We were on vacation so we went for it but if we were regulars I don't know how often we'd swing by just given that 4.5 donuts were nearly $30 plus tip. They are hearty, though, and laminated dough is not easy to do so I get it. But it was a bit steep for an everyday treat. But do treat yourself if you find yourself nearby one of their locations!
I guess I'm a donut guy cause I am hooked on the Five daughters Bakery 100 layer donuts!! Think croissant but a little less buttery and filled with cream!! The over all flavors of this donut is crave worthy, we got the King Kong with a maple glaze and large chunks of bacon on top! It was the perfect breakfast meal that can get anyone going for the day! To know how much effort goes into the process and the affordability of it was mind blowing!
Had this the previous time I came last year in another location and wanted to try again. This time I was closer to the location at the Assembly Hall area and it's more of a walk in and go, no seating inside. Still cute vibe but not able to sit and relax like the other location I visited. Cinnamon rolls are ginormous and can easily be shared by 2. Love that they offer large & smaller sized donuts. Service was good, girls working were friendly but the gentleman working seemed a bit more standoffish and not as customer focused. Still a good day experience and must do in Nashville.
Five Daughters Bakery is the perfect place to satisfy your sweet craving. They offer a wide variety of donut flavors, with both smaller and larger sizes depending on how hungry you are. I went later in the afternoon, and they had started to run out of some flavors. If you want the full selection, I would recommend arriving earlier rather than later. I will definitely be back to try more of their flavors.
The mini donuts layers are so nice. I really like the strawberry cheesecake more than just the original glazed. I wish they warm them up instead of cold donuts
In many years my palette has greatly changed. Now don't get me wrong, I am all good with a red-light Krispy Kreme donut. Let's be real. They just do not taste the same and although not bad they just don't hit the way they used to. Living in many areas I have come to greatly appreciate the local places. Although this Five Daughters location is located in one of the most tourist hotbeds of Nashville it feels like a small mom and pop shop. This is a chain but is not to the point I will say of Duck Donuts, Shipley Do-Nuts, or Randy's. There are other donut shops that mirror this place, or this place mirrors many other donut shops with the selections available on the menu. The menu has something that will please everyone to include some paleo options. I went with the purist as my donut of choice. It is a basic glazed donut. Hey, they knocked this out of the park. Fluffy, airy, not overly sweet, yet still filling. So, thanks to my sis who told me about this place. One of the things I noticed is that there is not an accumulation of donuts. They make them in small batches, and it was not dozens of the same time that were sitting for who knows how long. If you want to treat yourself to a little sweetness, then check out Five Daughters. I don't think you will go wrong with any of their locations especially the one in Assembly Food Hall.
Located in the upper level of the Assembly Food Hall, Five Daughters Bakery was recommended to me by my sister in law. Upon entry, we were greeted and had a chance to review the offerings. Although it was later in the day, all of the items appeared fresh and visually pleasing. They do support a military discount with appropriate ID. I had not had a cronut before, or at least one that was memorable. On this visit, I had the King Kong cronut and enjoyed the flaky layers, sweet and savory profile and the crispy bacon that topped it. The spouse got a simple cronut and he enjoyed his option as well. There is no seating here as things are grab and go. If in the Nashville area again, I'd definitely return to try their other offerings. This spot is worthy of referring to out of towners and others for small and large orders of pastries.
This maple cream sugared doughnut was amazing and not too heavy. However, I did share with my wife and mother. I am a big fan of the hundred layer doughnuts or cronuts (croissant/donut) mix that are popular here. This place does em wonderfully, they have them in large or mini size, and the prices aren't bad at all
I love this bakery! The only place I go to in Nashville. This is a quick shop in the food mall to grab donuts to go. The service was quick and the donuts were fresh. They were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend to anyone who goes to Nashville!
Omg omg omg. Cronuts! We got two minis - perfect for a snack. I got the Cream Cheese Sticky Bun (caramel) and hubs got the Parent Trap (cookies n cream). To die for. We will be checking out the 12 South location as well.

All I gotta say is "WOW" totally worth it the donuts are fresh and huge and delicious. A lot of variety and great location. Quick and easy service with good info on options. The whole place is nice and spacious. Best donut I've had in Nashville Big and fluffy and tasty........ read more
Came here twice during our visit. The first time was a 5/5 (hence the second visit). The donuts were so fresh and yummy! Time of visit: 9 am Two individuals working were very pleasant. Second time was a 2/5. The donuts were pretty dry and stale tasting, and had it been my first visit, I would've have come back. The two working seemed a little put out. The store is clean. If you are going to go, my suggestion would be to go in the morning, but maybe I just had an off-afternoon experience. read more

Everytime there's a girls trip to Nashville, this is a must stop. This one is right in the 12 South Area and it's always pretty fast getting donuts. I'm not gluten free but those gluten free donuts here are just some of the best I've ever tasted that I like them even more than the regular ones! I branched out and tried the samoa but it was a bit more dry than the chocolate sea salt one which I'm obsessed with. Also the employees here are always so kind. read more
We went a little closer to midday (3pm), so I think the donuts didn't taste/feel as fresh. The options were alright, I wish they offered more flavors. But, still fun to try because we knew that this place is really popular! read more
Oh. My. Goodness!!! What a donut! The store is adorable, clean and well laid out. A great selection of donuts. We tried the maple glazed and it was fantastic. All the layers, the cream and the delicious maple icing.... I am sad but thankful there isn't one close to where I live because these donuts are excellent and worth a drive and the calories!! The service was quick and efficient and the coffee was strong and hot! read more

Location: Five Daughters Bakery | 5th & Broadway Nashville Concept / Dedor - YES YES YES Taste - it was just ok Donut meets Crossant = ? I think I'll stick to just the donut! Older man who served us was really nice and worked efficiently for such a busy location. Such calmness about him! He made my vanilla latte really good! read more

This was on my list of places to visit and I'm so glad we made it! The staff were helpful and kind! I tried 2 kinds of the mini layered donuts - the purist and the cinnamon purist. They were light and flaky and delicious! The space was clean and offered some cute photo ops! read more

For a fun twist on donuts, you should definitely check out this shop. They offer a great variety, and the ones we tried were delicious. I normally don't even like sweets, but I really enjoyed this donut. It's not a dine-in spot, but the staff were friendly and helpful when we were deciding what to order. read more

Headed to 5 Daughters this morning and while all the donuts looked great, I can tell you that the breakfast biscuit sandwich, with added bacon was probably the best one I've ever had! Honestly, get the biscuit-you won't regret it. Iced latte also on point. Also vegan options available. read more

Ordered two mini's and one Boston creme. Minis were very sweet. If someone likes that much sweetness they will love it. They packed a lot of flavor though. Boston creme was better, more mild on the sweetness and the creme filling was good. Dropped the rating to 3 because the girl working was not friendly at all. We almost considered not even getting donuts because she was so dismissive. I almost gave it a 2. read more

My family and I were visiting Nashville and at exploring the food options on the Honky Tonk Highway. Whenever I travel somewhere new I definitely want to try a locally grown business and I came across Five Daughters Bakery which was started in Franklin Tennessee. It was on the second floor of 5th & Broadway which is a shopping center filled with lots of food options in their food halls. The boys and I had to try one of their flaky 100 Layer Doughnuts with strawberry cheesecake topping and one of their huge chocolate chip cookies. The line was all the way to the door, but it went quick. There isn't any seating in this location, but we were able to bring our treats into the food hall where there was plenty of seating. Definitely coming back to try other flavors! read more
The texture on these donuts was phenomenal. It was even good after I stored it in the fridge and had the rest the next day for breakfast. I went pretty late in the evening. I was in and out with quick service as it's a pretty casual drop in spot. read more
Very cute little shop and my daughters loved this place especially with the gluten free options for my daughter. Staff were super friendly and very attentive to our needs. Donuts had a lot of flavor and great experience. This is a have to visit place if in town. read more

I loved the aesthetic...bright, clean, and super cute. The donut display was adorable, with so many tempting options to choose from. We tried two of the popular ones recommended by the lady at the counter: The Purist and the Vanilla Cream. The Purist was really good...soft, fluffy, and perfectly balanced with a glaze that wasn't overly sweet. The Vanilla Cream was okay; a bit on the dry side, but the frosting was tasty. Overall, a charming little spot with great donuts and a lovely vibe. Would come back to try more flavors next time! read more

So here I am on vacation, which means I traded in my sensible protein shake for a breakfast that involves 100 layers of pastry magic. I mean, if your donut has more layers than my emotional baggage, you know it's gonna be good. Now, full disclosure: one of my friends is literally one of five daughters. Her poor dad. At one point, they only had one bathroom. ONE. So clearly, when I saw the name of this bakery, I had to pay tribute to the man, the myth, the father with no privacy. Back to the donuts. These things are like if a croissant went to therapy, leveled up, and got frosted. A cronut cousin, but better dressed. I tried the purist and a berry-filled option. Both were fabulous, but let's just say I like my donut to taste like a donut, not a berry trying to steal the spotlight. So team Purist for me. Would I come back? Absolutely. I'd fly back here like a pastry-seeking missile. You don't just casually find a donut that makes you rethink your breakfast values. 5 Daughters, 100 layers, 1 very happy tourist. read more

Delicious! Satisfied my sweet tooth for sure. Visited Nashville and this is one of the recommended places to check out. Cute little bakery. I just wish there was a nook with tables and chairs but it's located in Assembly Hall so we just sat there. There was a short wait bc we ended getting some drinks as well and there was only 1 person taking orders and making drinks. It was worth the visit and I was able to take some back home and stayed fresh until the next day flight as well! read more
Very cute store front and display case. We ordered the strawberry cheesecake cronut, peanut butter and jealous, lemon curd, mini Samoas, and chocolate cronuts. Employee was very friendly and pleasant. She was very helpful with suggestions. read more
