It's what's It's What's For Breakfast the steak egg n cheese bagel. Yum!

Hats off to the ugly bagel!! I'm a freak for a good NYC bagel but the ugly bagel co. Pumps out some elite bagels! Great texture, right amount of chew, good flavors. Well done! Worth the visit for sure!

I had been meaning to stop in here for ages and now that I have, I've been here 2-3 times per week! Their Asiago bagel is outstanding with their salted butter. I was originally getting it untoasted and then an error gave me one toasted - and that worked out in my favor because it was incredible. I need to branch out and try the many other flavors of bagels and schmears they offer. I like that they offer monthly specials, like the "Red Velvet" for February/Valentine's day. You can order ahead (which I love) or order by a kiosk in the store. The employees are nice and they move quickly. I understand they have one more location, and I look forward to seeing more pop up around the city.

I loved the bagels from here! My favorite was the jalapeño cheddar. The chocolate chip was also very yummy. The store is very much grab and go, as they don't have much seating. It's located in the Arcade building with other shops to peruse. My service was quick, and the inside of store was very colorful and I liked the vibe.

We were in Nashville for the weekend and discovered Ugly Bagels by our hotel so on Sunday morning stopped in to grab breakfast to go. Great variety of bagels, cream cheese aka called spread and sandwiches. It was hard to make a decision we went with Asiago bagel with veggie cream cheese & I'm Goin' Back on Seeded Whole grain. The bagels are huge & delicious! The veggie cream cheese was filled with spinach which I love & toasted just right. The I'm Goin' Back Egg, Smashed Avocado, Turkey Sausage, Swiss, was hot delicious! Truly some of the best bagels we've ever enjoyed! And friendly quick staff. We definitely need these bagels back in Southwest Ohio!

Only "ugly" in name! The bagels and spreads are tasty, and I love that new flavors of each are released every month. The interior is straightforward, showing the various bagels and spreads and also selling merch. The exterior has tables and chairs inside the Arcade area to enjoy your purchases. My favorite part of this location, though, is that it participates in Too Good to Go - an app where you may purchase a surprise bag of their bagels!

Wifey and I visited for a bfast sami and a toasted bagel w smear. I think the bagels have gotten better since our last visit - and they were great then. We had a blueberry bagel w berry spread and it was Amazing!!! Simple sandwich was also great on everything bagel. Highly recommend UB for scratching that bagel itch!

Cute little bagel shop tucked away downtown. When you walk in, you order on a computer screen, similar to Wawa. There are loads of options, sandwiches, spreads, sides, coffees. It was hard to choose! But I love an everything bagel so I of course had to get that with eggs and turkey sausage. I did select the "no cheese" option when ordering but there was cheese on it when I opened it up. The coffee was delicious, pretty perfectly balanced flavors. There are patio tables out front where you can wait for your order, which can be got there or to go.

My husband and I visited Nashville this weekend and I was so excited to have a good gourmet bagel while there. This shop is inside an alley thats being remodeled to be like a little shopping center. Once the area is finished, I bet it will look very nice. Right now, it's kind of meh. Obviously, there is no street parking, only paid garages nearby. We parked in 201 4th ave. Garage and it was $15 for Sat./Sun. Parking. The Ugly bagel is a unique place, it just didn't hit the spot for me. You order at the kiosk and they get it out to you in a decent time. My husband and I ordered caramel lattes. They had caramel in them, but the caramel taste wasn't there. No sweetness at all. I also ordered a cheddar jalapeño bagel with plain cream cheese. I received a regular cheddar bagel with cream cheese. My husband got a cheddar jalapeño breakfast sandwich and he enjoyed it, but it was dripping grease. It was a decent place, but not worth the extra trip and having to pay parking just for this.

Ugly Bagel was hopping on a Friday morning but service was great and all moved quickly. Ordering is done on a screen and there were glitches but the staff helped and even ended up comping our bagels. So nice of them! Very light and bright atmosphere. Bagels delicious!!!!

You order off a kiosk & still prompted to tip. There's no communication between the workers & customers other than them calling out your name to pick up the order. The business should be paying their workers a wage that doesn't require tips. Also I ordered a lox bagel & it was given to me with no lox. Just cream cheese, capers, & onions. When I went back to have it remade it was clear the workers were thrown off by having to speak to a customer directly. Super weird vibe. My sandwich & 12 oz coffee cost $25.

**Take my review with a grain of salt, as I am well aware it's a difference in desired aesthetic that's influencing the low star rating** Ugly Bagel is for the Instagram-brained among us. Between the goofy mascot and the branding, there is a palpable effort to be trendy which I personally abhor. It's such a tiny little shop, without so much as a seating area, which made me wonder, "Can this even be considered a restaurant?" On one of the walls, there are plastic models of their different bagels and cream cheese flavors... I felt like an overgrown child in a Fisher Price Bagel Shop toy set. Orders are placed on a touchscreen kiosk, which to me is an offensively modern, robotic, and gauche move. They'd run out of the heart-shaped bagel my roommate & I made the trip for, so I ended up ordering a French toast bagel with brown sugar cream cheese. I've yet to meet a bagel I didn't at least moderately enjoy, and this was no exception. But it was nothing worth writing home about. The only redeeming aspect of the place is the observation window, where one can watch the bakers shape the bagels. But this, too, was quickly spoiled, as the bagel technician (any Seinfeld fans here?) continuously flitted his eyes to me in a flirtatious manner. Uncomfortable, to say the least. The ephemeral & childish nature of Ugly Bagel made me want to click my heels & be transported to Proper Bagel off Belmont Blvd., where the timeless tiled floors and deli-style ordering system would warm me. Save yourself the disappointment & get your bagel fix elsewhere.

I came back the following day for MORE
Erber D.

The monthly bagel flavors immediately caught my eye from outside so I knew I was coming here for breakfast the following day. I had the strawberry bagel with loads of peanut butter cream cheese (perfect combination). I also had a chai latte that was the perfect compliment. I'm very picky with my bagel spots being from New York, but this place passed the vibe check. The service I received was welcoming and yes... I came back the following day as well!

Parker S.

Swung by to try a new bagel spot that recently opened. You order via a kiosk which was easy enough. They have 3 tables outside so it is more of a grab and go place than a sit down and enjoy with family/friends. We ordered a holiday swirl and a jalapeño cheddar breakfast sandwich. Unfortunately when we got home the order was wrong. The bagels were still really tasty, and maybe it was just an off morning for the crew. I would most likely just go to Proper Bagel if I was looking for a bagel fix in the future. If they added more tables to sit at and smoothed out their ordering process to ensure you got what you ordered I'd be willing to give them another shot.

Parking wasn't too bad unless you have mobility issues. Despite their whole thing being NY-style bagels, I actually selected a Reuben on Pumpernickel. I wasn't feeling like eating a whole bunch of whipped cream cheese or a chicken salad. Portion sizes were pretty good, actually. I think the main things for me would be to simplify the menu and offer size options. Something like half a bagel or like a "classics variety" (like a variety cheesecake). So you could pick and choose quarters or maybe thirds. I was happy to see they had savory cream cheese options because they are so underrated. I also got their honey lavender lemonade which was fire and not too sweet. The staff were all great and it is clearly a pretty popular spot. Overall no issues and I will probably go again.

Quick stop. Grab a bagel. Keep it moving. After all, it's just a bagel, right? Wrong. What shows up in your hands is not a bagel. It's a statement piece. These doughy masterpieces are hand rolled like someone actually cares about what they're doing. Then they get boiled in water that's engineered to mimic the kind that made New York bagels legendary. You can taste it immediately. That slight chew. That perfect crust. That moment where you stop mid-bite and go, "hold on... what is this?" And then the plot thickens. The cream cheeses? Made in house. Not scooped out of a tub with a shrug, but crafted. Each one feels like it had a little meeting before being served. The kind of detail that makes you reconsider every sad bagel you've ever settled for. "The difference between a good morning and a great one is about 200 degrees and a properly boiled bagel." Yeah. That. The people behind the counter don't just serve you, they set the tone for your day. Smiles, energy, the kind of friendliness that feels real and not rehearsed. You leave in a better mood than you walked in, which is saying something before coffee fully kicks in. And if you want to dress it up, go for it. Eggs, meats, cheeses, stacked and loaded. But here's the twist. These bagels don't need the help. You can tear into one plain and still feel like you made an excellent life decision. This isn't just a stop. It's a recalibration. Make the time. Go out of your way. Because somewhere between the first bite and the last crumb, you'll realize something important... These are the best bagels I've had south of the Northeast. By 1pm, they were already out of most bagel options, which was a bit of a bummer. I was excited to try the "Rise & Shine" on an everything or plain bagel, but ended up going with za'atar as that and cinnamon were all that was left. That said, the bagel itself was excellent with a great chew, perfectly balanced texture, and generously seasoned. I'm not sure the za'atar paired best with this particular sandwich, and the chili crunch cream cheese wasn't quite my favorite. I think I'd opt for something more classic like scallion or plain next time. The egg, bacon, and cheese were all high quality and cooked really well. The staff was kind, and the space has a great mix of indoor and outdoor seating. It had a steady flow with some lulls and then suddenly a long line. It can get very loud inside. It's in a small shopping center at the north limits of the Crieve Hall neighborhood. You can normally find a parking spot in the lot or if you know someone in the neighborhood, walking is an option too. Walk in and order at the counter. Be sure to check the available bagels that day AND any specials, especially the cinnamon bun special. Every time I have been, the staff has been extremely helpful as you navigate the choices. (note - there is a separate window outside to pickup online orders, delivery orders etc. so that helps with inside congestion). There is almost always a line but it moves quickly. On my last visit, they had just completed the March Madness bracket and were featuring the Cheddar bagel with chive cream cheese- $1. As I said, always check the special! They will feature some interesting coffees, bagels varieties and let's talk about the Cinnamon Roll. The first time I sampled the Cinnamon Roll special it was a blueberry pancake version, imagine an amazing cinnamon roll(yes, it's sweet but not overly and has great flavor), with blueberries and cream on top! The only downside is they are very large, but that means you get one to share with your people. Their bagels are really good! You can eat them plain or get some spread for them. (note that bulk bagel orders are not sliced). They also have breakfast sandwiches. To top it off, this has the feel of a real neighborhood spot. Plenty of folks greeting each other, friends connecting, families gathering. Indoor seating with books for the wee folks and some outdoor tables too. I understand they have another location but this is original CHBCO. Definitely worth checking it out!

We also believed it would come out in order so we were called forward shortly after the people who were in front of us checked out. The ambiance is decent, the restaurant is cluttered and the ordering system is poor. The outside of the restaurant has two different signs and entrances/exits. I heard multiple people in line confused about this choice as well. My suggestion to ownership would be to make one entrance an exit only to avoid new customer confusion and streamline the ordering process. The bagel I received was tasty, but fell extremely flat because it was plain on the inside. Again, I received the wrong order so it wasn't at all what I was expecting. I would like to give this place another try and hopefully I receive someone else to take our order.

Bagels are my birthright…read more I am a New Jerseyan / New Yorker that left the godless north for Nashville 10+ years ago. I was so afraid I would never have another good bagel again that I literally took bagel-baking classes at the Culinary Institute of America. I was right to be scared. For years, Nashville bagels were just bread donuts. Soft circles of steamed sadness committing breakfast fraud. The kind of thing someone hands you and says, "It's basically the same," right before you question every decision that led you south. Then this place showed up. It started as a pop-up inside TKO, R.I.P., and now it has taken over the whole space. This place gets it right. The bagels are boiled, rolled, baked, chewy, crusty, and spiritually accurate. Not "good for Nashville." Not "pretty close." Just really freaking good bagels. No apologies needed. The place looks the way a bagel shop is supposed to look. Concrete floors. Friendly chaos. People working hard behind the counter. And the people? That's the real thing. Mr. Aaron, his wife, and the whole crew are amazing. They know your name. They bust your chops. You bust theirs. That is community. That is customer service with a pulse. They even have a Mets fan, which proves their commitment to authenticity and long-term emotional damage. It's the kind of place you want to go every day, if your wallet, doctor, and basic sense of shame weren't constantly trying to ruin your life. Nashville finally has a real bagel place. I do not say that lightly. I say that as a man who has opinions about crust, chew, schmear, water, and most things. But this place rules. Go. Eat. Complain about the Mets. Order another bagel.
