    Avocado toast

I came here on a Friday breakfast with a group of 3 and it wasn't busy at all so we were seated immediately! One thing that I'll point out is that the service here is pretty slow and the portion sizes are quite small. The saving grace is that the ambiance is super fancy being in a hotel -the place is really pretty and I liked just coming to chill and catchup on life. FOOD: I got the Avocado toast - the size was small so it didn't feel super fulfilling but the dish was super refreshing and I enjoyed the light cheese but also the tomato sauce on the chilly avocado. I also tried the breakfast sandwich - it wasn't super special but the taste was what I expected - the omelette here was also just a normal omelette and tasted blander than other places. The food did feel pretty healthy.

I called from room at 8:50am and the server said 15 mins. When I got downstairs 25 minutes later. I still had to wait 10+ minutes for my food. It must have been made fresh thanks! The food was hot and well seasoned for hotel continental breakfast. The omelet had minimal amount of sausage and was packed with a lot of veggies. My daughter loved it! Nice restaurant a short walk from your hotel room. If you are in need of a meal before the beginning your work day this place is good. It is more on the expensive side for eggs. $18 for an omelet.

Three stars is accurate. I only came for breakfast and found it to be average. As a diamond member staying at the hotel, we have credits we can use towards food, so I chose the continental breakfast every day. The food presentation is great and the customer service is good (not great). Although, everyone is quite friendly. I just found it to be a little slow at times. Along with the continental breakfast, you get tea, coffee, or juice. I chose green tea, which is actually loose leaf! However, they do not properly steep the tea and you can definitely tell when you taste it, if you are an avid loose leaf tea drinker. I did not try any other meals but do appreciate the 20% off when you check in.

Very convenient spot for breakfast when staying at the Juniper hotel. I tried their continental breakfast and the Greek yogurt parfait. Both were really good and reasonable portion. Service is excellent.

Strictly a review of their updated Happy Hour M-F till 6 pm...their Happy Hour Bar Bites have been on a bit of a roller coaster over the years. We were pleasantly surprised to find them on an upswing this visit. Lots of decent options at $5-6: * Shrimp Ceviche was very good, fresh and flavorful. Would have liked just a touch more heat on the jalapenos though. * Chicken Bites was great for sharing. Nicely seasoned, crisp and not too greasy with a bbq dipping sauce. * Guac and Chips were very fresh, but the guac needed more bam...like more jalapeno heat, and a bit more lime. Easily remedied with a squeeze of lime from my cocktail, and some green Tabasco. * Acorn Squash Hummus Crudite -- hummus tasted awesome, but Crudite = "assorted raw vegetables" and they were clearly MIA. We should have been warned. That's a big disappointment. * Tacos Al Pastor -- Flavors were good, but the pork could have been more tender and juicy. * Steamed Mussels are just ok. Nothing to rave about. Good HH Well Drink Cocktails, but HH wines are seriously unimpressive (mostly under 3.5 on Vivino). Service is always friendly.

Parkview Kitchen & Spirits is a restaurant and bar located inside the Juniper Hotel in Cupertino, CA. Back when the hotel was called The Cypress - the restaurant was named Park Place - as I recall. Stayed at the Juniper again last week - flew into SFO and drove down. I was planning to arrive in time for the start of the Clemson vs. Alabama National Championship game and watch it in the bar - got there a bit late due to a delayed flight - but they had the game on! The bar was packed with folks watching the game! I ordered the Brussel Sprouts with Bacon and the spicy Calamari, and a pint of the Back in Black Black IPA (6.8% ABV) (21st Amendment Brewery, San Francisco, CA). I asked for, and received - a chilled pint glass for my beer! The Brussel sprouts were tasty - but I do wish they were a little crispier. They were served with what tasted like a Maple Syrup glaze and crispy, tasty bacon bits. Very good! The Calamari included slices of fried jalapeño, and a spicy Aioli like dipping sauce. Absolutely scrumptious! After dinner, I ordered a dirty vodka martini - made with Grey Goose, and very dry - as in wave the bottle of vermouth in the general vicinity of the martini. I asked if they had Blue Cheese stuffed olives - the answer was "no." But then the bartender (his name was Phil - nice young guy) told me he could hand stuff me some Blue Cheese olives if I did not mind waiting for a few minutes. So of course I accepted! Drink was tasty! Later in the evening I had an order of their fries - which are topped with a tender, succulent rib meat and melted cheese, plus a pint of the Racer 5 IPA (7.5% ABV) (Bear Republic Brewing Co., Cloverdale, CA). Service was excellent! Food was very good! And Clemson won the National Championship! #ParkviewKitchenandSpirits

This was supposed to be a special birthday dinner date that my husband meticulously planned for me,…read morebut it turned into the most horrendous dining experience I've ever had. We dined at Lira on November 14th. The Service (or Lack Thereof): The Menu Shortage: We arrived for our 6:45 PM reservation only to be told by the manager that they didn't have enough menus. We were told they'd bring them "later." Ignored for 35+ Minutes: We sat with nothing but water for over half an hour. To make matters worse, a table of six was seated after us and received their full entrees while we were completely ignored. The Drink Mess: After 40 minutes, the server told me they were out of ingredients for my drink. When I picked a second option, she tried to insist I wanted a drink with celery (my most despised vegetable). We thankfully stopped her before it was made, but the incompetence was staggering. The Food Fiasco: An hour into our reservation, someone dropped off a scallop dish. A while later, a server asked if I'd "received the scallops yet," and I realized the plate I was eating wasn't even intended for our table. We were so starving that my husband and I just shared them. Once we finished, the server finally asked my husband if he "still wanted his meal or if he wanted to cancel it." I finally lost my cool - of course he still wanted his dinner! The Aftermath: My husband didn't realize that my friends had actually made a separate reservation to take me back to this same spot the following night for a second birthday celebration. After this performance, there was no way I was going to step foot in this building again or give them another cent of our money. I texted my friends from the table to cancel those reservations and book elsewhere. With service this disorganized and insulting, this restaurant won't be in business long. Super disappointing. Don't waste your special occasions here. *Edit - it looks like Lira has closed. With the service we experienced, I am not surprised in the slightest. I am hopeful that whichever future business occupies this space is more successful.

I had high hopes for this upscale Mediterranean spot in downtown Campbell. Lots of hype, but the…read morefood was average and service was all over the place. I thought some dishes were great; the wagyu burger was decadent. Other dishes were not that special. The scallops didn't taste too fresh (likely frozen) and combining them with hummus didn't quite work. The side of bread was practically insulting. $5 for stale table bread was a surprise. Dishes arrived very late; we were nearly forgotten when we tried to order, and then after ordering, we waited 40 minutes between appetizers and the main course. Not because they were cooking it; they just forgot we were there and when they brought out the dishes, the scallops were no longer just-cooked, and the burger had been sitting for a bit. No apology, just an acknowledgment it was late, and no discount (not even on the stale bread). They offered us wine, we said we didn't drink, and they just moved on. I debated a lot about how to review this. It's my personal experience that was disappointing, and I'm glad some reviews are very upbeat. But there's a handful of reviews noting frustrating delays... and that needs to be worked on.

I ordered a Bleu Cheese burger, which came with fries, and was super happy. The service was top notch; quick and just attentive enough. The food was excellent. Now, some may think, "Yo! It's just a burger and fries, dude!" To those I say, "Apostates! Be gone with you!" I really like hamburger and fries. I think I'm pretty good at sorting the good from the bad, and the great from the rest. The burger I had here, the Bleu cheese, was great. Perfectly cooked (I ordered medium rare - no lectures on that, please) and they did it correctly. Served on a wonderful brioche bun and accompanied by excellent fries. I asked the server to bring a leftover box for me with the food. This is my weird way of saving the calories when out at restaurants. Unlike most places, the server took care of it the first time and without any inquisition. As an aside, when one is in their 70's like me, almost any restaurant plate is about 2x the fat, salt, carbs, and such that it should be for the metabolism at that age. I find that especially if the food is great, or likely to be at least good, I need to do this to prevent overeating. YMMV. Anyways, I really like my first visit here. The prices are not horrible (my lunch was $20) and all else worked for me.

Living with multiple food allergies can make eating out stressful and, at times, discouraging. Many restaurants try their best, but it's rare to encounter someone who goes as far above and beyond as Jason did. From the very beginning, Jason took my allergies seriously. Rather than treating them as a simple modification request, he took the time to understand my specific concerns and personally communicated with the chef to ensure every precaution was taken. What impressed me most was that he didn't just ask once and move on--he followed up multiple times throughout the process, making sure every item I received was prepared as safely as possible. His level of attention and care gave me confidence that my health and safety truly mattered. Jason's kindness was evident in every interaction. He patiently answered questions, verified ingredients, and double-checked preparation methods. Instead of making me feel like my allergies were an inconvenience, he made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest. That level of empathy means more than people without food allergies may realize. The extra precautions taken in the kitchen were remarkable. Jason coordinated with the chef to ensure separate cooking methods were used whenever necessary and that steps were taken to minimize any risk of cross-contact. My food was packaged separately and clearly distinguished from the rest of the order, which immediately showed me how much thought had gone into keeping my meal safe. Even more touching were the notes left on the packaging specifically for me. Those small details demonstrated a level of personal care that is incredibly rare in the restaurant industry. Because of my allergies, my meal options were understandably limited. I ordered a plain burger with sautéed green beans, while my friends enjoyed several different burgers from the menu. Although my meal was simple, it was prepared perfectly. The burger was cooked exactly as requested, allowing the quality of the meat to stand on its own, and the green beans were fresh, tender, and flavorful. Most importantly, I was able to enjoy a restaurant meal with confidence instead of anxiety. My friends thoroughly enjoyed their burgers as well, commenting on the flavor, quality, and preparation. It was wonderful that everyone at the table could have a great dining experience, despite having very different dietary needs. What touched me most from this visit isn't just the food--it's the care. Jason's willingness to communicate with the chef, verify ingredients, package items separately, use special preparation methods, and personally check in throughout the process transformed what could have been a stressful experience into an enjoyable one. For those of us with food allergies, being able to order food safely is something we never take for granted. Jason made that possible. Exceptional customer service is often defined as exceeding expectations, and Jason exceeded mine at every step. His professionalism, compassion, attention to detail, and genuine concern for guest safety are truly commendable. I am incredibly grateful for the effort he put into accommodating my allergies and ensuring I could enjoy a meal without worry. Experiences like this create loyal customers, and Jason is a perfect example of how kindness and care can make a lasting impact.
