Presentation wise it was absolutely amazing. Everything looks delicious and of course it taste good as well. The stuff Nutella banana was great, but kind of dough-y. I love the fresh berries. The ambience was very homie. Like a small diner. We came towards the very end of lunchtime, so the server kind of made us feel rushed to order. Not bad actually. I am getting quality American fare here. I like the portion sizes. They are very big and one order can accommodate two people. Got the fruity pancakes and it was an epic win. Even managed to get myself a nice mimosa which was to die for. I'd suggest you make your meal a combo to get the full experience. Got a Tuna sandwich as well. This is such a hidden gem in Sunnyvale. They have updated interior so it's very modern inside. I got seated quickly even on a Saturday afternoon. First time trying Keke's. Convenient location with an off street garage parking for customers. We came around noon and there was no wait. Sounds like maybe weekend brunch is busier. Staff were friendly and attentive. Menu has options for both breakfast and lunch. We tried the stuffed French toast with pecans and chocolate which was delicious. We also treated the steak omelet which was also great and came with home style potatoes and toast. They have several drink options and we opted for the iced caramel latte and brown sugar latte. I went this morning with a work colleague. She had the combo plate with French toast (sliced bananas) and she had eggs with cheese and potatoes with a hot chocolate. I was curious about Keke's due to the ads, but after this experience, I don't see a reason to return. I acknowledge that weekend brunch is a busy time, but to simply get a seat for 1 at the bar still took too long. I was told to wait nearby and I just awkwardly stood for ~10 minutes for someone to clean & prep my seat. I started with a Coconut Latte, and it was okay. The foam & sweetness were fine, but the coconut flavor & espresso were average. Then for my main, I had a Florida Waffle. The waffle was nothing special; I've probably made similar quality at hotel breakfasts. At least the fruits were fresh & tasty, but overall this is not worth the price. Final Thoughts: 2.00/5.0 It's rare that my friends and I get to go out for brunch because our schedules never align. Today was an exception and we were able to go get some brunch today. This brunch kind of did turn into a late lunch and I'm wondering if this experience would have been better had we come a little earlier. The experience and food was just underwhelming and a little disappointing. The pictures of the food online looked better, so I was hoping for something more. Overall, I can only push it to a 2 star today. Food: Eggs Benedict with Home Fries: 2.0/5 Eggs benedict is one of my favorite brunch items on the menu and I always like to try it at every brunch place I go to. The combination of the muffin, protein, poached egg, and hollandaise sauce is such a good commination for me. The eggs benedict that I got here was a little underwhelming. Upon arrival to the table, the plate just looked sad... Perhaps the plate was just so plain that it made the overall dish itself look very...small and messy. Presentation is a bit haphazard. Starting with the eggs benedict, they were quite underwhelming. The food itself seemed just warm. It didn't feel like any of it was fresh or hot. Even if it was, it seems to have been sitting there for a hot second instead. The muffin felt rubbery and not toasted at all. It lacks a lot of the texture component for me. Second, my poor egg. It was overcooked just ever so slightly and became a jammy egg versus a poached egg. This was the case for my friend's eggs too. Flavor of the hollandaise sauce was alright. They provide home friends and I truly do not like my fries like this at all. I will typically go for a hash(brown) or fries. It's the ratio of potato/starch to crisp for me. This had zero of the crisp and just all potato. Perhaps this is just a preference because I'm sure someone will like these types of potatoes. I'm just more of a fried potato kind of girlie. Not a fan of the upcharge for this side dish though. Of note, it does seem to be more convenient to provided these kinds of potatoes as the side versus offering alternatives as that can take more time. Side Note: My friend chose a cheese steak panini and it looked good. What takes away from this dish seems to be the chips. These chips looked like they came straight out of a potato chip bag. Now, they were still crispy, so it means the freshness is there. Definitely cannot see these being chips made and fried in-house because they did not that have oil or greasy to it and they were heavily seasoned. Not the kind of salt and seasoning you craft by hand either, but more of the ones you taste in a store-bought chip bag. --------- Quality: Just warm The food felt like it was just warm and not really made to order. Perhaps if it were, it may have been a little hotter than the plate of food that I got. There was also just no texture to be found in my dish anywhere which is a big miss for me. This may have been because we did come a little later during their opening hours. Can't say that's an excuse though, but perhaps it may have been better had we come at an earlier time. Price: Ehh.. For the items we got, I really would not have paid what I did. The price will range from about $15 to $18 depending on what you get. That would typically be normal, but some of the plates just look small. Personally, I really wanted the chicken and waffles and sandwiches too, but opted out of that one because of the pictures I saw on Yelp. For the sides, I did mention that I preferred fries over the home fries and I could have gotten that, but the upcharge of $4 was not it for me. Service: Could have been better Our waitress was actually really sweet. There was a little concern with her login, so she had to step away for a second, but resolved it quicky. Very apologetic. Not a big concern at all. Our initial wait for our waitress was a little longer than expected though given how many parties there were present. It was that and actually waiting to pay and get a box. I actually ended up just walking to the front counter and paying. It was quicker than waiting unfortunately. Ambiance: Sleek and modern brunch and diner vibes. Their interior is quite large and I'm sure they can house a fair amount of people during the brunch rush period. Interior design is super cute. Logo contains tangerines. It that or oranges, but I think tangerines are just cuter, so I'm calling them as such. Simple, but very modern. Very bright inside. Lots of booth tables, which I like. Location/Parking: Designated Parking Structure Available My friends and I totally missed this one because it will take you to a turn before the actual lot if you just input the name of the café onto your maps on your phone for directions. There's a separate Coffee Bar if you just want to come in for espresso or a cappuccino. The two-sided menu offers many choices for Breakfast and Lunch. Florida Waffle - Nice sized, crunchy and soft on the inside. They decorate the top with plenty of banana slices, strawberries (out of season, but what the hey), and blueberries. I'm not sure where the whipped cream went, but I can do without it. I like the syrup in a squeeze bottle - it comes out cleaner and doesn't make a mess. 3-egg Scramble There's so many choices that it's hard to decide so I ended up customizing a 3 egg scramble with ham and cheddar cheese. I dunno, but it was rather flat, meaning, a tad overcooked and stale. Maybe I should have added veggies or mushrooms, but it was relatively bland in taste. Choulula helped with that. The dish comes with choice of toast and grits. The service ranges from total ambivalence to a complete disappearing act. It took a while to get our order in and even longer to get someone to bring our check at the end. Disappointing. We were in the Sunnyvale area for my husband's work project. Decided to look on Yelp for a breakfast place that was open early. There weren't very many and Keke's was the closest, so we headed there. It was a little hard to find until we actually drove past the restaurant. At first we weren't sure where to park (there didn't seem to be any street parking) but then realized they have their own little parking garage next door, which was convenient. We were excited to try a new breakfast spot and were impressed with how new and modern everything looked. There wasn't anyone at the front counter when we walked in but after a short wait, we were greeted by an employee who escorted us to a nice window booth. The table and booth felt very clean and new. Menus were lovely and seemed to have a wide selection of options for everyone. After a short delay, a server came over and apologized, saying she was all alone. Guess they were short staffed. We didn't notice anything until our ice waters came a bit later than normal. Then we soon realized the wait was taking quite a bit longer than is normal for a breakfast cafe on a weekday. There were a few tables but it didn't seem very crowded. When the plates were brought to our table, first thing I noticed was how burnt the toast was. Not the best first impression. But I figured I probably wasn't going to have the toast anyways. We had both ordered omelettes and my husband commented that the egg seemed really dry. I agreed. In the center of my cheesesteak omelette, I noticed the cheese they used seemed really waxy. Reminded me of when I was a kid and Mom would buy those individually wrapped cheese slices. Yuck. I didn't think people ate that as grown ups. I've never been to a restaurant that used processed cheese in their omelettes. Ugh, the waxy cheese was not my taste. It almost felt like they were trying to cut costs by using the processed cheese instead of sliced or shredded provolone or cheddar, which would have a totally different taste and consistency. For a $20 omelette, I expected more. Sourdough bread (which was one of the options our server named off for bread choices) was an extra 50 cents, but that was not told to us until we saw the additional charge on the bill. I should have known better than to only look at Google reviews (as they have a 4.5 rating on Google). My mistake. FOOD: Ordered the "Florida" waffles (with the server suggesting ordering a side of pancakes as it is presumably "award winning"). Like all the other reviews say, service is beyond slow here and obviously you can guess their food is not worth a 1+ hour wait. They also somehow have no idea how a waitlist works. We weren't seated until my husband took a pic of their monitor that had the waitlist on it to see the names and we heard a group 3 names after ours get seated and then joined the crowd huddled by the desk to tell them we'd already been waiting for an hour lmao I should not have had higher expectations judging by its rating here on Yelp lolz but we came here on Sunday at 1:50 and were told it'd be a 30-35 min wait. 45 min passed and we hadn't heard anything so we went up to the front to ask if we could check our place in line because they have no visible waitlist. Two workers came up to the front desk 4 different times and avoided eye contact every single time to not interact with us haha Our server at our table was really nice. We ordered an iced coffee, the cheesesteak omelet and a Nutella stuffed French toast combo. The iced coffee took 15 min to be served. After eating the omelet a bit, we realized it was the wrong omelet. It had chicken and a different kind of cheese. It was already partially eaten and all the staff was busy and nowhere to be found so we just ate it. The food was all standard and not bad but not special. It seems they really need to hire more staff or something to resolve this problem. Okay, Keke! Over the weekend, we found ourselves in Sunnyvale and looking for a brunch spot. Keke came up as a Yelp suggestion, so we tried it out. 20 minute wait, so we opted for the coffee bar area seats and were immediately seated. The number of customers walking out due to the excessive wait times is honestly surprising. Parking is very limited, and there's barely any space to comfortably wait outside. What's most disappointing is that they removed their online waitlist system, which used to make visits much more manageable. We got the eggs benedict and a free short stack of the Florida pancakes from a soft opening deal I saw on Instagram. Both were honestly just alright. As a brunch lover, I was thrilled to hear Keke's is coming to the Bay from the East Coast/Florida! Seems like I wasn't the only one excited, since it's packed every time I came. Waits can be long at all hours on weekends, and food takes a while to come out every time. Food was worth the wait though, since portions were generous. The pancakes were bigger than they look in photos and packed with blueberries. They were so good on their own I didn't even need butter or syrup, which is rare still I usually have to request butter with my bread and pancakes. However I wasn't a fan of the cheesy grits, and the chicken on the waffle wasn't as tender as I'd hoped. The turtle stuffed french toast was very sweet, and I couldn't really taste the pecans. The eggs benedict were yummy but pretty standard, with nice runny eggs and tasty potatoes on the side. I also tried both the silver pancakes and Florida pancakes too, which were good but nothing special. Disappointing food and frustrating service! We were really excited to try this new spot, but the entire experience was underwhelming and frustrating.We started off on the wrong foot when the front desk completely ignored our request for water while we endured a long wait to be seated. Luckily, we eventually asked a server passing by who was kind enough to finally get us some water. Unfortunately, the service issues continued at the table. Our server completely failed to mention that certain add-ons carried extra charges. They also misled us about what was included in a combo, which resulted in us being charged for two separate, expensive items instead of the meal combo we expected.To top it all off, the food simply did not taste good. Both the waffles and the French toast were bland and disappointing. Even the basic breakfast items were botched - the eggs were completely overcooked. Between the communication issues, the front desk's lack of care, and the subpar food, we will not be returning. read more

Delicious and reliable--Keke's hit the spot! We had such a great brunch at Keke's in Sunnyvale! The menu has something for everyone, and everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The omelets were perfectly cooked--one with ham, peppers, and onions paired with crispy potatoes, and another with cheesy grits on the side. So hearty and comforting! The tuna melt was a hit--crispy golden bread, melty cheese, and a generous tuna filling, served with fries and a pickle. Classic and delicious. We also ordered the blueberry stuffed French toast, and wow--it was a standout! Thick slices of fluffy bread, bursting with warm blueberry filling and finished with a dusting of powdered sugar. Sweet, soft, and absolutely indulgent. The kids loved the pancakes with chocolate chips, paired with sunny-side-up eggs and sausage links. And the chicken tenders were crispy and juicy--great dipping sauces too. The service was friendly and the space had good vibes--clean, bright, and casual. Came here on a Sunday around 1:30 PM, and we were seated immediately. The place was packed and the ambiance was nice. We ordered the tuna melt sandwich on sourdough, with a side of onion rings. We also ordered the stuffed Nutella toast. The petal sauce that came with the onion rings was fire. Its a horse radish based sauce. The tuna melt had a generous portion of tuna, with cheddar cheese, lettuce, and nicely toasted sourdough. Only improvement points are I wish the tuna salad was less dry and wanted more cheese on the sandwich. Nutella toast was really good and paired nicely with the bananas. It's super chocolatey and heavy, but a nice treat for chocolate lovers. Overall, enjoyed this spot for brunch! read more

We found this place in Sunnyvale. It's like an upscale or more modern IHOP. Food is freshly made. Service is attentive. They are on top of the coffee refills. Very efficient in bussing the tables. The place overall is super clean. There is almost always a wait on the weekends. Food is good and consistent. If you are looking for a reliable consistency, this is a great place. It can get boring if you end up coming here often but we will see. It's great for groups but I'm not sure if you can reserve ahead of time. There is a parking structure parking and street parking. Menu can be confusing but the staff is always ready to help. read more

Our second visit with kids in tow really allowed Keke's to shine. The kids combos were a generous size and based on the reviews we stayed more pancake and waffle focused this time. The pancakes (we got chocolate chip) were very tasty and excellent in a combo. Poached, scrambled, and over easy fried eggs were perfectly cooked. Kids loved the sausage too. Huge number of strawberries and very sweet. My husband got the scramble bowl and it was kinda meh again like last time as the potatoes underlying the eggs were not seasoned. Docking a star for that and will not order any more omelette or scrambles for a while. Like last time, the staff were absolutely lovely (shout out to Claudia!) and the manager even came by with a kids toy box for them to pick prizes. Whenever we are craving pancakes or waffles, we'll definitely be back. Easy parking and proximity to downtown is a big plus. read more
