I wanted to update my review after giving Eureka another try. The manager reached out to me after my original visit and was kind enough to provide me with a gift card to come back and try the restaurant again. I stopped in tonight and was immediately seated in the bar area, where Alan took great care of me. I ordered the crispy glazed Brussels sprouts and fried pickles, and both were amazing. They came out quickly and were nice and hot. I decided to give the Double Smashburger a try, but I also asked Alan what he thought about the Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich. He told me it was one of his favorite dishes, so that will definitely be what I try next time. I really appreciated the manager reaching out and giving me the opportunity to come back. Tonight's service was great, and the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. Based on this experience, I'm happy to give Eureka another chance and will definitely be back to try that Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich! read more

We went last night, Saturday, August 15th, for dinner. We arrived about 530PM, we were promptly greeted and offered a table, but chose to sit at the bar. It was perfect weather to enjoy the outside seating, but we wanted to unwind and the bar was quiet and inviting. We had no idea they offered a Happy Hour on Saturday, and were thankful bartender Sean S. mentioned it. I inquired about the house made Bloody Mary and was given a sample of the mix and then chose The Old Fashioned, which was very good as was the Lavender ice tea. Sean, thanks for conversation too. There are lots (14?) of beers on tap and a huge selection of bourbon, along with many tequila, vodkas, etc. Afterwards, we went back to the hostess and asked to be seated. We sat in a booth at the other end of the bar and laughed about how far our commute was. Rylie T. introduced herself, gave us menus, and took beverage orders. We asked a few question about the menu, and ordered the fried pickles as a starter. They were delicious; thinly sliced, lightly breaded, and arrived hot with a side of ranch (the garlic aioli is tasty too). It went very well with the Coffee & Cigarettes Porter. Rylie's timing was perfect and we ordered the BBQ Bacon burger with fries and the Waygu Bone Marrow burger w/a side of onion rings. They both arrived cooked as ordered, and the Waygu Bone Marrow burger was so juicy! The onion rings were really good too. The side of fries tasted off and Rylie quickly removed them and asked if a substitution would be liked. We passed and continued eating. A short time later the manager came by and we had a discussion about the fries and the preparation (and much to our surprise, made an offer my wife could not refuse). The staff all appeared the assist each other, and were all pleasant too. There is not much curbside parking, but the parking garage is close by with a pedestrian entrance/exit almost across from the front door. The restrooms were well light, and clean. The background music was not to loud. It did get noisier when shortly after 7PM when the trivia night started, but that is to be expected. Thank you all for a nice evening! read more

I recently visited Eureka with my dad, his wife, and my husband. We had an 11:30 reservation for an early lunch on a Sunday before a visit to Apple Park. The location is really convenient to Apple. Turns out we didn't need a reservation, as there was only one other occupied table. We sat outside to enjoy the lovely weather. Service was outstanding. Very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the jackfruit mojito. It was fun to have a piece of jackfruit to try. I need to return to order the mango inferno margarita. Overall the cocktail menu looked fantastic. I also appreciated the $13 lunch menu. What a great deal. I had a very delicious grilled chicken club sandwich. The rest of our party enjoyed their orders as well. What a nice selection of burgers! I'm old and don't out to eat lunch much. Last week one of my friends and ex-coworker asked me out to catch up at lunch and he chose Eureka! I have to say I was impressed! I ordered a Bleu Cheese burger, which came with fries, and was super happy. The service was top notch; quick and just attentive enough. The food was excellent. Now, some may think, "Yo! It's just a burger and fries, dude!" To those I say, "Apostates! Be gone with you!" I really like hamburger and fries. I think I'm pretty good at sorting the good from the bad, and the great from the rest. The burger I had here, the Bleu cheese, was great. Perfectly cooked (I ordered medium rare - no lectures on that, please) and they did it correctly. Served on a wonderful brioche bun and accompanied by excellent fries. I asked the server to bring a leftover box for me with the food. This is my weird way of saving the calories when out at restaurants. Unlike most places, the server took care of it the first time and without any inquisition. As an aside, when one is in their 70's like me, almost any restaurant plate is about 2x the fat, salt, carbs, and such that it should be for the metabolism at that age. I find that especially if the food is great, or likely to be at least good, I need to do this to prevent overeating. YMMV. Anyways, I really like my first visit here. Went in today to support the Bay Area Cats fundraiser. We were seated fairly quickly but decided to swap tables to get more sun. The server was very kind and told us it was okay. I noticed other tables had a carafe of water, so while we waited for our food, I asked someone to bring us some too. It would be cool if it was standard to bring it by so I didn't flag someone down to ask for it. I got the tofu lettuce wraps with a side of fries and a passionfruit lemonade. The lettuce that came with my order was dirty, you could see the actual dirt on it. It's good that it's fresh, but I'd prefer washed lettuce. I mentioned it to a server, and she happily took it away to replace it with fresh lettuce. The new lettuce was wet, so at least I know it was washed. The sauce with the tofu was really tasty, but I wish they marinated the tofu overnight so it could soak up more flavor. The fries were crispy, and the lemonade was refreshing, though I think it could use more passionfruit flavor. My friend got the spicy fried chicken sandwich. She said the chicken was very moist, the coleslaw was good, and she really liked the sauce. The only thing she didn't like was the bun, she said it tasted like low-quality bread and was too crumbly. We had to wait a while for someone to come by so we could ask for the check. My friend pointed out that they didn't check on us much after we got our food. I think the servers are very kind when you can flag someone down, but they could probably benefit from QR code ordering or checkout, since it seemed like only two people were serving the entire restaurant (inside and out). read more

Located in an area with lots of choices. Parking is tough so plan ahead. I've eaten at several different Eureka's and I always like their grub and drink. They have a great selection of whiskey if that's your poison. Slow on a week night despite other nearby establishments being busy. Sports on TV's to watch your favorite game. This is my first time at this particular restaurant in quite some time. I wanna say I haven't been here since before the pandemic. My best friend and I had trouble parking since it was a grand opening of two new stores, but once we found parking and walked over, it was really nice to be seated rather quickly since nobody was in this particular restaurant. Lol. Ambience inside was rather dark, but it was a little windy outside, so I didn't want to get too cold or have the food get cold if we sat outside. My niece got a burger as did my best friend. I wasn't too hungry so I got the Ahi poke stack without any soy sauce since I have food allergies. My niece didn't realize her burger came with fries as we ordered truffle fries for the table so then she ended up with too much food. Lol everything tasted delicious although the service was rather slow. I think there was only one server for the whole restaurant on this particular Saturday afternoon. We were only able to get one round of drinks and no refills because the poor server was inside and outside helping/waiting on tables. Eureka is open till 11pm - but the servers are so nice - sometimes when we were having too much fun, they would clean up the whole place and come to us last and say, it's midnight, we need this close the place now :) The food is much better than most bar food places. As the lead of community engagement for my son's grade level at his school, I wanted to create a happy hour social for the parents. I had called a number of restaurants and spaces, but since we were over 10+, many of them required a deposit, room booking fee, minimum food and beverage total, and a large party fixed gratuity. Since we couldn't guarantee our total headcount to justify the huge fixed cost, none of these options were viable. Then Eureka in Cupertino popped up on our radar. My co-lead had enjoyed dinner here over the weekend and thought it was a lovely and perfect space for our needs. And best yet? They were willing to reserve a large area for us without any deposit and could separate tabs if desired by person. We scheduled our event during their "Hoppy" Hour, and the event was awesome. A group of us even stayed for over 4 hours! The drink and food selection was decent for a happy hour special, and they were all decently good food. I really like the Cupertino location of Eureka, as it's the perfect spot to grab HH drinks and bites with friends, especially when the weather's nice outside! My friends and I were seated in the outdoor seating area outside of the restaurant, and enjoyed burgers, cocktails, and good ol' people watching. The portions were great, all the food came out hot, and our group enjoyed all the cocktails and mocktails we ordered. I really recommend coming here for HH (3pm-6pm as of this review) as you'll catch some specials and potentially a nice sunset outside if you time things right! read more

My goodness, Eureka has burgers galore! You can also swap out any standard patty for a veggie option. Came here because it was dog-friendly and we wanted to grab a bite with my in-laws. I ordered the fresno fig ($19) and requested to sub out the meat burger for the vegetarian one. I was intrigued by the goat cheese and fig spread, and it was a decent burger. It also comes with a decent side of fries. Husband ordered the southwest garden salad and also added on salmon as a protein option ($13.50 for the salad, $8.75 extra for the salmon). Breaking this down into different categories: service, food, ambiance, and parking Ambiance: 5 This is a BIG Eureka with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, a lot more outdoor seating than most places. I arrived around 4pm for the happy hour. There seemed to be a few parties outside as there were some food warmers and other things that looked like catering / party. This added a bit of energy to an otherwise sleepy interior vibe. The bar booths were about 50% occupied and there was plenty of seating at the bar itself. Service: 4 TBH, the service was a BIG improvement on what I've experienced at their MV and Santa Clara locations. While the bar was slower than the others, it wasn't just about being busy. For whatever reason, it doesn't seem like bartenders are trained to introduce themselves and help the guests feel welcomed at Eureka, which seems strange to me as I spent years in the industry. Regardless, the bartender was polite and efficient, checked in after I got my food and noticed my empty glass pushed to the edge so asked if I wanted another. This is where the service was much better than the other locations as getting a second drink can entail a long wait and a lot of waving Food: 5 I went with the happy hour smash burger w/ fries and the happy hour old fashioned. All were spot on in terms of flavor. The burger was flavorful, cooked well, and the pickles + bun added good texture & flavor. The fries were crispy, well seasoned, and at the right temperature. We were a party of five (including two toddlers) on a warm Sunday afternoon. We sat outside under their inviting covered seating, and enjoyed a light breeze. The server was most welcoming, and was especially good making the children comfortable, bring covered cups, straws, and their food early. 3.5 rounded down I'd say. This is a go to pick for my coworkers and I, as it's a generally safe pick (food wise) and in a nice & convenient location. Props for that angle! Not sure I'd say the food is that great though. Let's start with vibes - typical American restaurant / bar combo "nice" modern. Darker lighting, not much natural sunlight. Mahogany / dark wood. Again, perfect for a corporate group setting! Service is okay, it can be a hit or a miss. We've had servers who are very prompt and friendly, and we've also had servers that seemed to never come back. Food to me is a solid 3. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat this, but also wouldn't be mad about it. Their burgers are probably the best things here - my favorite is their smash burger, that is yummy! Never really liked any other burger I've ordered there (next favorite would probably be the bone marrow burger?). Appetizers have also always been okay to me. Ones that come to mind are the brussels sprouts, mac and cheese balls, and dorito fried peppers. All were only okay imo. The only one I'd probably order again on my own are the brussels sprouts. So overall, great place for a safe bet pick among coworkers, but probably wouldn't come here on my own. read more

We revisited Eureka! a few years after my last review. I had remembered liking the Brussels sprouts, but not much else from the previous visit. We were there on the weekend so there wasn't a happy hour, but the happy hour seems like it's full of good deals and it is like 3-6 or 4-6 during the week so I'll have to check that out. I really liked their variety of salads, and the southwestern one I had was really good. I like how you can add a protein, and I added the grilled salmon which was very fresh and flavorful. Eureka provided a very warming environment for my birthday and my girlfriends graduation. We had a combined celebration and they put up decorations at our table, wrote a card and also gave us a little dessert. We didn't initially know what it was but it was their Butterscotch rum pudding. It was super good and addicting to try. As for the food itself I got the Eureka burger and it was okay, very mid burger. Probably need to try something else next time to get a better feel of Eureka.
