Definitely one of the better bars in the area to sit down and grab a quick bite. They offer a large variety of food and drinks, and everything was tasty. I recommend eating outside because the view out there is better than what you would get inside. I would recommend when compared to some of the other lunch spots on the main strip. read more

Stopped here for lunch today and wanted to sing some praises. First, they're taking COVID seriously--from face coverings, to spread-out seating (especially in the lot), to actively cleaning surfaces--the crew here cares and it shows. Beer list is really solid, the hand-cut fries make for pretty great poutine, and I might've had a few of my daughter's coconut shrimp. We left happy and full. Count me as a fan. Great place to bring the fam or grab a drink. read more

If you stop here for drinks or a bite to eat and it is nice outside the back outdoor patio is a must to eat on. Great views of Rangeley Lake with a nice breeze. The staff was friendly and attentive as well as suggested what to eat. I was surprised when I looked at their taplist and they had a great variety of craft beer I did not expect for this area (including a Triple IPA from Other Half from NY and a heavily fruited sour from Tripping Animals from Florida and even a 14%+ Barleywine from Barreled Souls). Must stop for those enjoy craft beer. I ended up deciding on having the fish and chips which came with a small serving of slaw along with a good amount of fries and two pieces of haddock. It was all tasty but I could have used some more slaw and maybe a little more fish. My girlfriend went with the poutine and mozzarella sticks appetizers together as a meal. The poutine was way bigger than I anticipated it would be but the mozzarella sticks were on the cold side so could have passed on those. Overall a tasty meal while in the area and a surprisingly good taplist with a great outside view. Give this place a try if you are in the area. read more

Wow. Best fish taco I've had in a long time-finally enough cilantro in the sauce! Beautiful night watching the sunset and drinking delicious margaritas. Will be back next summer! read more

Had a fantastic lunch yesterday and the Margaritas were awesome. Returned today for lunch and all four of us had a great meal (chowder, fish tacos, salad). Unfortunately the $10.00 margaritas were a disappointment. The margaritas are served in a relatively small glass to start with and had a cube of ice that displaced at least half of the volume (possibly more). Yesterday the glass had a moderate amount of ice, today it felt like a rip-off. Unfortunate, as we love the food here. read more

Arrived at 1pm Oct 1 Waitress took our order at 1:15. 2;15pm still waiting for our order. Customers who came in after us were served and left . We were still waiting for our order. . At 2;30 We decided to walk out. Never has this ever happened to us . I think our order was never placed. Should not have to sit around for an hour and a half waiting for a couple of sandwiches. read more

I ordered the plain Ceasar salad and the Chicken Marsala dish for dinner. Both were really excellent! We ate on a large outdoor deck with a nice view of the lake. The waitstaff were very busy but pleasant. It was a very enjoyable meal. read more

Service was the absolute worst we've ever experienced. Sat 2 1/2 hours and still no food. Finally left, nobody apologized or had any reason why we had such terrible service. Just bad!. Have been I. The past many times and never had it this bad. Cute place with a ni e lake view. read more

Nice place. Good food (prime rib) Friday night special was great. Wife had a huge salad.

Great place! We've started a tradition of going here once a year. Food and drinks and view are great, but our waitress Becky is the star of the show. Becky is so engaging and welcoming, that she makes us want to come back again and again. Great waitress, great place! read more

No reservations, but no worries...tables galore and food to match! Food is wholesome, yet only average in quality, but generous in quantity. Very reasonable pricing, with most entrees around $18. Wines are only fair, so best to order your beer here. Desserts looked good, and the blueberry pie was excellent. Service one night was good, and the next night, by a different server it was awful...he neglected to clean or set the table for us upon seating, hardly removed any dishes during dinner, and forgot to tell us any of the specials!!! read more

I have been here several times and the food and service was good but they hired this new old lady with glasses. She runs around taking orders but never gives people their food even when it's not crowded. I used a timer and it took 30 minutes to get water. The only reason why this is not a zero star review is because I feel bad for the other waitress that has to deal with her. She needs to be fired right now read more

Food is good and all waiters are good except the older women with glasses someone needs to fire her she's crazy

Great spot it was very busy and the Bar was backed up and drinks were slow to arrive. The food was great and a good spot for lunch in Rangely read more

I love eating here whenever we go to rangeley! The Bloody Mary is fantastic and every food item we have ordered has always been delicious. The service is always great too. Best place in rangeley!!! read more

Baked stuffed Haddock & Crab/Artichoke dip are the best!!! Great drinks, food, service!

Stopped while visiting this beautiful area of our country. Onion rings and strings were great, Reuben was excellent, coffee too strong. My husband wasn't thrilled with the fish 'n chips. Service was great, Molly was very pleasant! People next to me (I was eavesdropping) said the chowder was excellent. I'd probably eat there again! read more

Fantastic spot for a real treat. They'll do your burgers rare, and have plenty of outlets (if you're a hiker and need to charge up.) The beet salad is almost sinfully delicious. Great, friendly service. Excellent! read more

If I could put zero stars I would. Started off great, everyone was very friendly and courteous. It went down hill from there, from the time we placed our order it was 2 hours before our food was put on our table. After several questions on where the food was (after seeing 4 tables come and go). We were told "well you have a large group". The Manager came by and said sorry they were at capacity and very busy, however there were a dozen tables still open. In the time we were there we got our drinks filled once. Never mind the fact we had a 2 and 4 year old who were very hungry. To make matters worse, one of our group has a gluten and potato allergy, that order came our 20 minutes after everyone else's. Get this, the order was a plain burger with bacon, which had to be sent back because it was played with potato chips. Be aware that they are slow, heed the reviews! read more

Stopped here after some backcountry skiing at saddleback. We were starving and not disappointed by some delicious poutine. I also ordered the fish tacos and found them to be cooked perfectly with delicious flavor (I also add a squeeze of lime juice too). My husband ordered the roast beef melt special and also was very satisfied. In addition, they had a good selection of local craft beer on tap which always makes me happy. Our visit was at 3pm so it was very quiet in there, but our server/bartender was appropriately attentive. We will be back next winter for sure! read more

Checked out Parkside & Main while vacationing with my in-laws in Maine. I had the lobster roll and a cup of haddock chowder - which wasn't haddock chowder, it was clam chowder, no haddock. Good thing I'm not allergic to shellfish. Still, it was delicious! The lobster roll was also very good -- that covers the food. The greeting hostess/waitress was dry and had no personality. The service after that from her younger co-worker was painful. Long, long wait every step of the way: ordering, receiving soups, food, etc. Tables around us were being served prior to us and we got there first. Additionally, in spite of my asking three times, the waitress never brought me, or my mother in-law refills on our sodas. I had to go tot he bar and get it myself - twice. It was your typical, "can we get this, can we have that, can we order, can we get our check, can you pick up the check..." It was unfortunate, because the food was quite tasty. The owners would be disappointed to know that the service would keep me from going back. read more

I've been coming to Rangeley for a LONG time and have eaten at many restaurants at this particular location. Parkside & Main is GOOD. We ate there last night after hiking Saddleback. Our hostess seated us right away and our waiter was excellent. He had served us last summer and was very good then too--a full 20% for him. They have a great collection of beer on tap and plenty of beverages for the kids. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer. These were really delicious. The kids had chicken fingers and haddock. Both were nicely prepared and presented. Plenty of options besides fries for the the kids' sides. I had the salmon and my husband had the chicken marsala. Both were tasty. You can see Rangeley Lake from the dining room and eat out on the deck as well. If you have little kids they'll give you a bucket full of little toys to keep them entertained. We'll be back next summer for sure. read more

Extremely loud in the middle section as screaming children were seated by us. The decibel meter app on my iPhone was hitting 95 decibels. When the food came out, I told the waitress "Can we move over there?" Pointing to a table in the back. Waitress "That's someone else". Me " This is very loud and uncomfortable". Waitress leaves, I think she heard me. Waitress comes back , me in an agitated tone "What do you mean that is someone else?". Waitress turns and leaves. Will not return, simple request to change tables should be able to be accomplished. read more

Absolutely killed it! For the last month I have been following reviews and eating out quite a bit. My wife and I were really not expecting much coming here. My wife had the Haddock Churchill I had the Pan Seared Sesame Crusted Tuna. OMG!! Both were fabulous. Our daughter had a cheeseburger Perfectly cooked and delicous. Our waitress was Becky. She was Extremely attentive and on the ball. Great beer selection as well. We will be back for sure!!! read more

So good! The buns used for the hamburgers and haddock sandwich are amazing!! The hand cut fried were great and my kids nearly cleaned their kids meal plates. Not your typical kids meals either. Very good! Service was also right on. Our waitress was very attentive and even gave the kids blow pops at the end of our meal. We will be visiting again as soon as we are back in the area. read more

Wow this is the best family restaurant with consistent cooking! Love the entrees made to order even in a pandemic still the same great food! You may have a wait but people with common sense understand when your busy it isn't snappy! With busy days, being short staffed Parkside still serves the same awesomeness on every plate ! A must place to try a mouth watering meal! read more

The food was very good. However the service by our waitress, Celeste, was terrible. We waited for over an hour and still had not received our food even through she came out several times to tell us it was coming right out. Then a woman who identified herself as the sister of the owner told us the kitchen never received our order and that it was going to take another 15 minutes because they just started working on it. Now I understand that restaurants are short staffed at this time, but it seems like it was Celeste's job to make sure the kitchen had gotten our order. When the sister of the owner took over working on our order she was very pleasant and kindly told us the problem and worked to fix the problem. After the meal we told the waitress that we were not happy with her service and the waitress yelled at us that it was not her problem, she had done her job, and it was our fault because we were not being patient. read more

Another terrific trip to Parkside! Thanks so much for taking the pandemic seriously- taking names for contact tracing and offering spaced seating.. we don't do the al fresco thing usually (we have always adored your cozy bar) but new things in these strange times. Thanks for helping us get a spot where my husband could avoid the sun. Mason was ever so helpful and a delight to talk to. And cheerfully willing to make any number of trips back and forth as we dickered over our choices.... well beer and sides anyway because we knew we were getting the lobster roll when we came in! We plan to be back in again this visit! Thanks for a great and safe experience! read more

Ate here 2x during my recent stay in ME. The house-made burgers (and veggie burgers!) are the way to go! The diverse, hand selected array of drafts will satisfy any beer lover. I personally really enjoyed the German Kolsch they had on draft, but I also had to have an Allagash Black (we don't see that on draft in RI). Service was exceptional on both occasions! I was actually shocked at how well one of the servers was able to remember so many details from so many orders without writing anything down- and he pulled it off flawlessly! Beautiful back porch patio overlooks the Rangeley lake. Couldn't think of a better place to end a long day of fly-fishing or checking out the local shops. read more

We came up to Rangeley for new year's weekend to go snowmobiling. This place was exactly what we needed after a long drive. It was packed but the staff were friendly and welcoming and got us to our table quickly. We waited a little longer than we liked for our food but our waitress was wonderful. When our food came out it was delicious. I ordered the Turkey BLT and the bread was perfectly grilled. Crunchy bacon, thin-sliced turkey, fresh tomatoes and crisp lettuce. We will be up here all season and we will definitely be back! read more

I have been coming here for over 15 years ever since my family built a place on the lake. I hadn't been able to come back for a visit for some time, but tonight it was just as good as I remembered! I had the chowder to start and the salmon and asparagus for my entree and everything was excellent - just as good as you would expect to find at a solid restaurant in a big city. Glad to see that Parkside is still one of Rangeley's best restaurants more than 15 years on! read more

While the food is okay, I wouldn't recommend the chowder ... Way too thin The service sucks! We were there for lunch and it took 2 hours Giving them the benefit of the doubt I return with my wife and son for dinner 2 days later. We had a new waitress, and I am pretty patient and understanding, but after deliverying my wife's and son's meals we didn't see her again until after those meals were pretty much eaten, when she did come back she realized she had not delivered my meal. A number of excuses were made, but I told her she may as well cancel my meal. The other waiter offered to get me something to eat...my family was finished with their meals, so I told him it was too late. They brought me the bill. No offer to "comp" any portion of it. read more

Excellent, bravo to chef!! Haddock Churchill was delightful, Mornay sauce on top delicious. Grilled ribeye with Roquefort sauce also great. Ruffo burger with horseradish cheddar also very good.
