Only say maybe because..well you are in the great north woods of NH and there is no other place to eat in this area. The food is basic pub style foods ie premade breaded chicken? patties. They do have great fries. It is a tad run down with things needing repair. Service was excellent and menu was priced accordingly. Found this place right off the trail, was way better than we expected. Nice big bar, waitress was great, and we loved the food.

We had breakfast Friday morning. Coffee was hot and fresh, food was good. Molls rock is a go to for my son and father. I had the breakfast sandwich and there are no complaints. This use to be called Northern Exposure restaurant and the sign in the building still states the same. The menu however states it is now called ERROL RESTAURANT AND PUB The food used to be good, considering it was the only restaurant around for 30 miles. Highly disappointed. The menu appears to be the same as when it was the old name. The portions are small It took 45 minutes to get 2 bison burgers with a large boat of fries. Now it was 2 in the afternoon and 8 guys seated at the bar and 5 tables of 2. There was just 1 bartender and 1 waitress. Based on the time it took to get our meal I can only assume 1 cook. Food arrived overcooked and tough. The bison burgers use to be 1/4# size. They were thinner than your chain restaurant. Lettuce was wilted. Everything is a la carte, from lettuce, tomatoe, onion mushrooms etc. looks like we will stick to subway grinders across the street inside LL Cote and picnic it on the river next time read more

I have to agree with all the other reviews: meh. It's food. Our favorite place on planet earth, Mt Dustan Country Store, closed. We had to eat lunch, so we went to Errol (closest town) and since Northern Exposure was IT, there we were. Some fountain and bottled drinks, waitress took our order, we waited. And waited. My chicken Cesar wrap was fine, although the chicken didn't seem like a grilled breast as much as a prepackaged piece, and came with a small bag of Lays. A little sad for $9 but ok. Friends got steak and cheese sandwiches, my husband got the steak bomb - essentially the same thing, except my husband's was HUGE and had onions and peppers. They came with chips as well. They said it was fine. Waited and waited for the check. Ladies room door was stuck shut, to the point I knocked, said hello, and had to really shove it open. We stopped for breakfast. Coffee and a omelet similar to a western. The meal came with just a few home fries. Small slices of toast and a two egg omelet. With the 20% tip it came to $ 18.00. It was served with throw away cup and very small cheap plastic forks and knives. I was shocked. If this was Nantucket I wouldn't be but Errol and not a fancy resturant for sure. If I had known it would cost that much ( $37 with the wife's) I would of gone across the street to Subway for a great sub for $9. Actually $7 with the coupons Subway sends out. read more

Got here around 915 am on a friday looking for breakfast. Plenty of empty tables but only.one waitress. After about 15 minutes our order got taken (in all fairness she was hustling the only reaon why we stayed). This place is a joke. Unless you are starving, just keep on driving. We ordered the special "Chop Suey". I asked the waitress if it was good & she said "yes". 20 minutes later (& the place was nearly empty) she brought what looked like "Goulash" - a mixture of macaroni, hamburger & tomato sauce! I told her we ordered "Chop Suey" & she said "yes", that's what I brought you. I said, no where else in the USA is this Chop Suey & it's not acceptable. She asked if I wanted something else. I asked for the BLT wrap, thinking they couldn't screw this up too terribly. By the way, my partner, Jerry, just decided to eat the goulash because he is passive & does not like confrontation. However, he said it was tasteless & it was more like ketchup than any kind of tomato sauce. The waitress did not bring my BLT Wrap but another woman who kind of slammed it in front of me and made a rude gesture & noise & stomped away. I commented to Jerry but ate the wrap which was ok. The alternate food server (not our waitress) brought the check but charged us for both "Chop Suey's" @ $8.95 per (the special was $7.95) plus the BLT Wrap. I, of course, said this was unacceptable but Jerry took the check & said he would take care of it. Being passive as he is (and I should have known) he let them "bully" (for lack of a better word)?and paid the full amount because they told him because it was the "special" we had to pay for it! Needless to say, I am truly upset over this whole incident. The sad part is we are AT&T & the NE seems to be Verizon carriers so we couldn't go to YELP for reviews. I would have rated this less than a one star if I could but unfortunately Yelp only allows you to go as low as 1 star. My wife and I decided to stop here on our way back home to have some lunch and were absolutely disgusted not only with the service but with the quality of food. We had ordered simple lunches, my wife ordered a BLT and I ordered a Ham club both of which had spoiled bacon on them. My wife almost vomited at the smell and mine was just as bad. Instead of causing a scene I asked for the check and we were asked if we wanted a box this was the only time since taking our order we were asked anything. I grew up in the area and am not only embarrased but disgusted as well that a small restaurant such as this had poor food and service. If I were the health department I would have shut it down to do a thorough investigation of the quality of the food and cleanliness of the establishment. Shame on them, never again. I will definately not be revisiting or recommending. First impressions are everything maybe something they should think about. read more

Some friends and I make a trip up to some cabins just north of Errol every winter and usually stop by Northern Exposure. Have always had a good experience - decent food, not expensive, service has been good (sorry the previous person had a bad experience!). Wouldn't go for anything too exciting here, but burgers and sandwiches are definitely tasty and recommended. Only issue is that it's run by a couple (I think) and is sometimes closed when they go on vacation, so you might want to call ahead. The Subway across the road isn't nearly as satisfying. read more

Was in Errol for the weekend and this place was walking distance from the motel. Went in for breakfast and ordered pancakes with home fries. My friend had the same but with corned beef hash. Service was slow and the food was tasteless. Home fries were a small bowl of diced boiled potatoes. No seasoning, just boiled chunks. STAY AWAY!! Traveling to Maine my husband and I stopped for a quick lunch, what a mistake. For starters the wait staff were horrendous. One young woman was loud and obnoxious sitting at the bar/breakfast bar and another making rude comments leaving the whole restaurant to one girl by herself. The horror show of the waitstaff and their rudeness aside the food was not edible. Ordered mozzarella sticks that came out semi warm with ice marinara sauce on the side, horrible. Given that this is the only place for miles we smiled though and ordered meals. My husband hamburger was at least palatable, while my buffalo chicken wrap with inedible. Ice cold, shredding bag cheese ice cold, old shriveled up lettuce with crusty buffalo sauce on the side. The sweet potato fires would have been the highlight, again, if they had been cooked. Keep in mind out bill for this with 2 sodas came to almost $50.00. I warn you unless you want digestive issues, horrendous service and cold food seek your meals elsewhere. read more

I consider myself pretty easy to please and had no expectations going in but it may have been the worst dining experience in recent memory. Server took 5-10 minutes to welcome us after we seat yourself seating. After ordering drinks and burgers at the same time we waited almost an hour without the waitress checking in to see how we were doing or at least a glance in our direction. There was only one waitress but there were also only 3 other tables in the restaurant. The burger came without the drinks or the condiments(which cost extra) we ordered. The Elk and Buffalo Burgers (which sound like interesting and tasty burgers) were all ordered medium and were all over cooked with no flavor. French fries were okay but for $15 a meal was disappointing. Also, for a party of the 3, a third set of napkins and silverware were not even given. I believe the waitress may have been new and/or poorly trained so I don't blame her as much as what seems be simply a poorly run restaurant. read more
