The staff was great. They were very accommodating to our family. The beer/drinks/food we had was great. Next time I visit Gorham, I'll definitely be coming here again. read more

Great family friendly brewery right in town. The vibe is definitely more of a restaurant than a brewery with a full menu and cocktail/wine options. The service is friendly and attentive. In addition to ample indoor space/seating, they have a very large outdoor patio and lawn area, as well as an outdoor bar. We ended up here 3 times within 24 hours during our trip to Gorham, NH. We came for dinner right after hiking Mt. Washington and then again midday on the 4th of July for a quick drink before the parade. Then, we came back before the fireworks! Admittedly, most other options in town were closed for the holiday but nevertheless, this is a great spot to end up at. I'd say we had a pretty well rounded experience- we sat inside, on the patio, and then out on the lawn - each visit being wonderful overall. My husband tried several beers. I had a cocktail and a few glasses of wine. For dinner on our first visit, we ordered the Brussels sprouts, smash burger, and fried chicken sandwich. Everything seemed freshly made. Definitely a must if you're visiting Gorham or the surrounding area! read more

The food is delicious. Service is amazing; the interior is beautiful. We had the Teriyaki Pull Pork sandwich and the Frank the Tank sandwich. The teriyaki pulled pork sandwich was soft and delicate pork with a not too much teriyaki sauce was amazing. The Frank the Tank was a fried chicken in a flatbread. Chewy flatbread with crispy outside and crispy fried chicken with a sweet mustard dressing; on point. The service is amazing. Very kind and very patient. The ales and IPAs are great. Some of the beers are available to buy cans. We did since they were great. I also asked to get the churros to-go; and they accommodated. Thank you so much! (They were very good!) The interior is a modern chic barn style, beautiful natural interior with large windows in front and great outdoor space and seating. There a few TVs where there's sports channels on. read more

Enjoyed the choice of beers and cocktails. Our server was very friendly and sweet. We were seated with another couple traveling and we enjoyed hearing of their travels. The back area to sit was very relaxing. We shared a flatbread pepperoni pizza and that hit the spot. Better than some of breweries we have been too. read more

The only reason why my rating is because the food, the atmosphere and beer was great but the service was VERY sub par. Not sure what we did to deserve just shitty service. Maybe the waitress was in a bad mood? Wouldn't even give her name, said she didn't have one...WTF? Anyways ....good selection of beer and food all at decent prices but man the waitress was too much. Made us uncomfortable for no reason at all. Never experienced this before read more

Absolutely delicious food! I also came on a night they had live music, which made this even more fun. It did take a while to get seated. Once I was able to get attention I was seated quickly and I was very pleased with the food. I ordered buffalo wings, fries, and a margarita. Each part of the meal was fantastic! It was exactly what I needed after a day in the mountains. I totally recommend coming here if you're in the area, and you have time to spare. read more

We loved this place. Very good meal. I got the Big Fish Sandwich, wife got the BBQ Chicken Flatbread, son got the Frank The Tank. We all shared the Northern Lights Brussel Sprout appetizer. Our favorite overall was the Brussels Sprouts. Everyone loved it. I got the German Beer and it was delicious. Service was fast, friendly and attentive. Beautifully decorated. We would definitely come back. read more

We passed by here returning on a trip to Maine. We were very happy we did. Had their Hop Slaw IPA with lunch and it was so great. The food was wonderful as well- the best falafel sandwich I have ever had. Packed with veggies and a great sauce- none of the dryness that can occur. My elderly mother in law was thankful to be able to order a kids burger since she is over 80 (what a consideration policy). Our server was friendly and attentive. And their fries rock! I look forward to coming back next time I am in the area! read more

Food and beer was great! We stopped for lunch after driving to Mt Washington. Pulled pork sandwich was tasty and unique. The flatbread pizza was good. Decor was clean, bright. Would definitely go again .service was excellent read more

This is a great spot! Big windows to brighten up the place, outdoor seating, live music. So many things to love! They have all different styles of beer, so I always recommend a flight so you can try a little of everything. The food is so/so, I had the falafel, it was good but you know when you're eating something and it's just missing....something? It needed a little oomph! Still good though!! Sidenote: you can't ride your four wheeler right to the brewery, we always park in the lot by the train and walk. Super easy! read more

The vibes are immaculate. The service makes you feel like a local. And GREAT beer!! How could you not stop in if you're in the area?! I loved the sour beer they had on tap and my husband highly recommends the lager. They have great variety in the menu, offering their own craft brews, cocktails, and even a great selection of food from salads to burgers! Come hungry. read more

So I go to a lot of breweries. I'm not sure what that says about my mental health, but it does make me qualified to pick out a few qualities of good ones. Or as qualified as anyone else on Yelp. (Which is to say, not qualified). One - this is not fine-dining, you're making barrels of rotten wheat. I want rustic fries, greasy servings and tattoos. You wanna haute your burger, I'm here for it, but you're not charging me $26 to huff wheat fumes while I eat it. Two - flights. This goes out to the Treehouses and Alchemists out there - you're not that good. Get off your high horse and let us indecisive drinkers live. Three - fun. The vibe should be chill, the servers kind of excited, maybe a little confused. Bonus points if the bartender takes every opportunity to describe how mosiac is different from citra and what everyone gets wrong about barleywines. All this to say: Big Day checks the boxes. It's a chill, homey place with a staff that is maybe a bit confused but seems happy to be there. Food is a bit schizophrenic and the beer is a bit one-note, but definitely a place I'd come back to. And, it happens to be down the road from some intense, thirsty-making hikes. Which, I mean...even if it sucked, I'd probably still go. read more

Marzen beer. Dark and sweet Hawaiian pork sandwich good , normal bun, nice height of meat. Good flavor Brussels sprouts were good Service was good read more

Probably one of the best breweries in the area. The secret 7 IPA is one of the best IPAs in New England bar none

First of all we were hungry after biking. This place checks all our boxes. We ate inside because outside was full but it was fine. I'm sure this place gets super busy. The inside is cool. Concrete floors metal barstools rustic yet industrial. Our server was very prompt and even asks about food allergies. The beer was great. The northern lights Brussels sprouts were amazing!!!!! Omg also the burger was good and the fries were great. Crispy outside soft inside and perfectly salted. We don't live in the area but will be back if we are! read more

Stopped in after a long hike on a Saturday night. Gertrude recommended this week's Pilsner, and it did not disappoint. Easily the best beer in town. The live music added to the lively atmosphere. read more

If you find yourself in the northern mountains of NH, this is a great stop. We visited on a Thursday night and we were seated immediately, even though the brewery was very busy. They were doing trivia that night, but we weren't participating so they sat us in a smaller and quieter part of the building. The main part of the brewery is a big open room. I got the hot maple burger to eat and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. My friend and I spent the rest of our trip talking about how that burger was the best thing we ate. I wish this place was closer to me but hopefully one day I'll be back in the area to go again. read more

We stopped by with our dog since we were told that there was outdoor dining available. Once there we found it was more like takeout, just you order and take it out back to a picnic table. We looked the beer selection over and didn't see anything we thought would be good. So, we decided to take a couple of burgers back to our RV. We tried the mushroom and Swiss cheese burger. They were great. They put a light horseradish sauce on them that was perfect. The fries were also delicious. The place looks new and trendy. The outdoor area lacks any real charm. No heaters for cold nights either. I give them points for atmosphere, service, and food. Not so hot for dog lovers. read more

This place was perfect. Space was clean, inviting, and outside was peaceful and quiet. Food was delicious and came out quick. A nice place which looks quite new. I had the Black and Bleu Burger (at least that's how I remember the name). It was a 'smash' burger, so unfortunately no option for how you want it cooked. I do love caramelized onions and I don't feel these were particularly good. The burger as a whole was good but I think the fries were better and what pulls the meal up from an average '3' to a 4. But really just a good, if not special, burger. Also had two beer which were good. read more

Disappointed to leave this. The whole service experience was odd. Wife, mother in law, 1.5 year old, dog, myself staying down the road for first time. Walked down the historic train tracks and entered through the well lit welcoming back with lights. I walked in with mother in law to order a drank after we sat ourselves on the open back patio. Immediately asked "are you getting cans to go?" We remarked no we planned to have a draft, we are sitting outside with our dog and child. "Did someone seat you?" "No, we came in through the back." " oh you can't do that!!" By the bartender. Just odd. So we went to the empty hostess table 10 feet away, who awkwardly brought us to the same table outside we were already at, then waited to be served despite the place being empty and at the bar before. Put in a round of drinks and food, then waitress never returned after they arrived. Had manager flagged down to service and another round. Didn't feel welcomed at all. Saw another group come in the back way we did... hope they didn't get the same treatment. left our 20% and went elsewhere. Just an awkward service vibe overall, especially for a brewery. Mother in law is a waitress and sadly remarked it was one of the worst services. Two stars since the beer wasn't bad. Wrong dressing with the wings somehow on top of all. read more

Overall pretty good! Came in ~6pm on a Sunday for beer and food. They were fairly busy and my waitress apologized several times for "the wait" but I didn't think it was egregious. Started with a flight of beers, which is four 5 oz pours for $16, which is on the pricey side but not unreasonable. The Gravity Quest NEIPA was solid, as was the Cran Dimensional. Swirl Porter was pretty good but a little vanilla forward for my liking. The black IPA I didn't really know what to make of. Malty, a little hoppy, but not like an IPA. Idk, it was fine. For food, I got the hot maple burger. Not sure why "hot" is in the name because it's not spicy and of course it's warm because it's a burger. Overall, the burger tasted good but some individual parts were subpar. The patty was overcooked, the crispy onions on the burger weren't hot, and the tomato was really underripe. I substituted friends for the chips and the fries were decent. Thing and crispy, which I like, but these were also not particularly hot, which is what you should expect if you wait a while for food and they're presumably freshly made. Overall, 3.5/5 (I rounded up since Yelp doesn't do 0.5s). A little overpriced for the quality but if you know what to expect, it's not necessarily disappointing. About what I'd expect in a touristy place that doesn't need to be excellent. Parking is plentiful and service was good. read more

The staff was super friendly and made sure we never ran out of food, beer, and cocktails. The Brussel sprouts were fantastic. The wings and Hawaiian Pork were perfect. Lots of beer to choose from. Stopped by this small local Brewery on the way back to ct after staying a long weekend in Bartlett. Super chill spot that I would love to go back on a Friday or Saturday night for some games or food truck yummies. This was probably some of the better beer in the area. I was able to try multiple flavors as well as a beer slushy. That was something I've never had the pleasure of trying at any of the many brewery visits in my lifetime. The ambiance super cool indoor outdoor seating, as well as a lot of board games and foosball cornhole, just an overall chill place to grab a beer and watch a game. We stopped in on a holiday, which was a Monday and it was rather slow so we got a great experience with the gentleman pouring beers. I got to chat with him a little bit find out more about the beers and the area. Looking forward to another visit this fall/winter. I would definitely recommend stopping in Weather local, new to the area, or just drove four hours to visit the area and need a quick break to stretch your legs. You won't be disappointed with this stop. Cheers read more

Did I it 5 stars because it is just about the only place open on a Sunday evening in the area ? (This is a serious dilemma folks) No, I gave it 5 stars because the food was creative and yummy. Many Breweries have food as an afterthought, but Big Day Brewery knew that any beer deserves a good food pairing. I was filled with joy when there was more than one option on the menu that I really wanted to try. My trails compadre, more of a carnivore than I also loved his food. This growler was not mine, but deserved some screen time here. Even if it was the only horse on town, I can attest that every one of the 20 or so random trail workers who made their way here will advocate for Big Day after a Big Hike or Big trail day. Oh yes, the service was also lovely. Thank you Big Day! read more

Not an enjoyable meal. We were seated immediately and our waitress took our drink order and food order quickly. She never said her name and she was also not the cheerful, bubbly, friendly type of server you expect in this kind of place. Our food was brought to the table with amazing speed. I mean, it was just so fast. I had the fish tacos. They were the ABSOLUTE WORST fish tacos I've ever had in my life. As a pescatarian, I've eaten a lot of fish tacos. They were overloaded with pineapple that tasted like it came out of a can and was thrown on the grill for all of 10 seconds. The fish tasted like it came out of a box and was heated up in the microwave. Absolutely no flavor whatsoever. My husband had the maple burger. He thought it was ok but nothing special. It was such a disappointment. They sell shirts there and I had been planning to buy a cute muscle tee to wear for working out. But after the fish tacos, I wasn't going to buy it. I knew that every time I wore it, I would always think of those horrible fish tacos. read more

What an incredibly hip, earthy yet vibrant venue. Helpful staff and good service. Was able to get a flight to sample the menu. Ordered the soft pretzels with a delicious honey mustard sauce. I ordered the Sorta Greek flatbread (which I wish had more feta and white balsamic reduction... was somewhat bland); my son ordered the Hot Maple burger (which he said "slapped"...code for my teen loves this!); and my husband ordered the Black and Bleu burger, which he loved. Would definitely come here again to try more if the menu. read more

I really wanted to like this place. I was so excited to try their beers. But I waited while multiple waitresses completely ignored my existence. I realize that there's a sign outside that says I need to go in to see the host to be seated, but I had my dog with me and I'm by myself so that wasn't an option and they could clearly see this. I travel solo often and this is the first time that I have been made to feel like I didn't matter because I'm only one person. read more

Food was pretty good, service was pretty bad. Not worth a repeat visit. Our waiter acted like we were inconveniencing him by being there. I ordered something and he corrected my pronunciation of the item; the item is pronounced slightly differently depending on what region you are from. And my pronunciation was of the country of origin. We waited an extremely long time to receive our check, and weren't given the chance to get a second round of drinks. I'm pretty laid back with a lot of things, but I was very put off when the employees put the salt & pepper shakers and ketchup bottles on chairs when cleaning other tables. Perhaps standards have changed since I worked in restaurants, but this seems like somewhat unsanitary. read more

hey guys, it's the seacoast food blogger bringing you another "no go" for eateries in Northern NH. this fairly new establishment in Gorham NH had the opportunity to be a great meal stop but missed the mark on so many levels. note this place has no diet or non-sugar sodas for those who are diabetic, order a unsweetened ice tea, there is no sweetener in the whole place, unless you want sugar, it's in abundance here. Ask the bartender about the beers, well that's an issue as he doesn't know because he doesn't drink, a strange issue for a brewery. now the food. Bar food at best, but still not great for bar food. so disappointing, as this could have been so much better. chef, please try your food before you serve it, you might find it's not good. the French fries, are a top winner. Service, fell flat on it's face, with our server apologizing for sub par service. I gave her 20% but should have been 2%. not returning here for another try. wish you guys luck. read more

Had the Hot Maple burger! Holy Hannah, it was the best burger I have had in a VERY LONG TIME. Perfectly cooked burger, the french fried onions devine (I normally don't eat onions), bacon and sharp cheddar cheese and topped with the most sinfully delicious hot maple syrup sauce slathered all over everything. This burger is the one to beat from here on out. And you will be sure I am going to be trying to replicate this sauce! And the beer was pretty freaking amazing as well. Had the Swirl Porter. So many wows! Wish it was an option for getting in cans. read more

Quick seating on a Saturday afternoon, outside and inside options were available. Good service, good food, good beer.

First the good: The beer here is excellent, and they make a wide range of styles. They have an excellent Hefeweizen, one of my summer favs seldom seen in US. They do both lagers (including a Vienna) and ales. All that I tried were excellent examples of their styles. Of course they have the ubiquitous overwrought IPAs as well. So, good beer and something for everyone. Also good: Very pleasant servers. Varying degrees of experience here, but all are very welcoming. Okay, now for the food: It's really bad! The menu is misguided, doing a bad job with Asian influenced items like bahn mi rather than doing a good job with...... anything at all. The most bland and tasteless fish sandwich I've ever experienced. The smashburger was simply a frozen puck with none of the tattered edges, intense browning, or flavor of an actual smash burger. The unripe commercial tomato and hunks of iceberg lettuce didn't help that sad burger. Wings? How can you go wrong? They do go wrong here! Buffalo wings: easy! Fried wings with a mix of hot sauce and butter, right? Not here! They're kinda dry with a weird dark color. "Flatbreads"? Call them what they are: frozen pizzas. All of their food comes straight from a national frozen food distributor, is prepared without thought or care, and is overall just a step above cafeteria fodder. Go here for the beer for sure. Maybe have fries or mediocre wings, but if you care about food, plan on eating elsewhere. read more
