This place really surprised us for sure! It's cute on the outside and we loved that it's a little Irish pub!! The inside wasn't much more then a sports bar for sure with memorabilia on the walks all around. The had a bar in the back that we had to ask if it was seat or yourself or wait. We sat ourselves, and waited a few minutes for a server. The server was very nice and had good descriptions and suggestions. We ordered drinks that were strong and delicious and apps that I couldn't stop eating, even to save room for main entrees. The onion rings, amazing!! The burger and tenders were good, but the french fries... oh the french fries. Holy hell Batman my tastebuds were a yelling in delight. They must be hand cut, they were just so damn good! 5 star !! Love this throw back locals bar / restaurant ! stumbled upon it while staying at a local airbnb before hiking Mount Adams . The place was very clean , Food was fantastic . What a great little place for a meal and a drink! It is a small place, but there were spots at the bar or tables to sit. They had a full bar and several local brews on tap. The floors were carpeted which was awesome wearing moto or sled boots! We had pizza, chili, motz sticks and buffalo fingers. This is a bar, not a fancy restaurant, so you if you are expecting more than usual bar fare, you will be disappointed (we were not!) However, they had a menu with everything from pizza, subs to fun appetizers like fried pickle chips and pretzels with cheese. The food was good and made to order. Fagin's is a hidden gem that I assume a lot of people just drive by. We stopped for breakfast based on other reviews and were not disappointed. Bacon, eggs, home fries, and toast for $10 might seem a little steep for some, but it was a large portion and tasty. The outside looks a little rough, and well I guess the inside does too. But we really enjoyed this place when our plans to ski got scuttled and left us with most of the day to eat and drink. If you like poor service, bitchy waitresses and inaccurate hours of operation, this place is for you. Website and hours on the door advertised breakfast served until noon on Sudays. We walked in, sat ourselves (as the sign said) and waited for service. 15 minutes later a waitress walked over and said " she's all done serving breakfast". This was at 10:30am. We asked the waitress, "she's done"? The waitress rolled her eyes and replied,"that's what I said, she's done. She then walked away. The place is a dive bar and the only reason we stopped was it was the only place in Berlin serving breakfast. Pretty sad when you have to go to this bar for breakfast. Sat at the bar because I was alone. Looking for something to eat and I had a pleasant experience here before. Not too to busy when I got there but it is a Friday night in Berlin NH. And this is one of the only games in towm. The bartender was not friendly, actually somewhat rude. Ordered 6 chicken wings and a drink. Well needless to say 40 minutes later, its obvious she never put the order in. Instead of apologizing for her faux pas, she tried to tell me she had 45 people in the place. The wings were 1/2 raw. The service was lousy. Had she smiled at least once or even apologized, I would have been fine. Shit happens. But her inability to be accountable was immature and get rudeness inexcusable.
