This was our first time visiting and it DID NOT disappoint! The food was phenomenal! We ordered the stuffed chicken and the Brisket Sando. I'm not even sure how to describe how much flavor there was in each dish, and those truffle fries! Yum! The service was also top notch. It started with the host who apologized for the "long" wait. Haha! It was 2 minutes, if that. Our server was so kind and knowledgeable, she made dinner a pleasure, but beyond that, everyone on the floor was quick to jump if we needed anything. If there is one not-so-positive thing to say, it was the seating. Those flat board chairs are so uncomfortable, and the high-tops even more so. We accepted a high-top because that's what was available inside, (The weather was looking a bit iffy so we didn't want to eat outside) but me being on the shorter side, if the foot bar is too low, it's very uncomfortable. Luckily a small low-top became available about 10 minutes after we arrived, and thanks again to the stellar service, we were allowed to switch. It was really a minor inconvenience and next time we visit we'll know to ask for a low-top or sit at the bar with the nice padded seats. Overall it was absolutely a positive experience and we look forward to visiting again soon! read more

Great atmosphere, great service and great food! Up for a long weekend and wanted a brewery that served decent food. Beer options were good with the favorite being a Session IPA. The servers were very polite and constantly working the room to make sure everyone had what they needed. The group Of us went with burgers and the haddock Reuben. All were exceptional. Only change I would make is to try and get the sweet potato fries crispier as they were a bit too soft though still good. read more

We sat outside, which was delightful. People brought their dogs and enjoyed a low-key good time. The surface was quick, friendly, and efficient. The food and beer were very good. A great place to get together and have a good time. read more

Best fries ever... beer was awesome as well. We loved the total vibe here, and after we ate, we went out and listened to the live music

Food was delicious. Music was good. Found seats at the upstairs bar. Menu was different/limited up there, so just be sure before you sit! Things were busy, so service was a little slow, but overall a great time. read more

Came to Steam Mill again and it didn't not disappoint. I ordered the dry rub wings and the pork belly. Both came out crazy hot and fresh. Don't sleep on the dry rub spice!! My wife ordered a salad it was huge! The star of the show was the grilled cheese with Bluebery jam . I always prefer the upstairs seating, but it wasn't open yet. Ski season will be here soon and all will be well! read more

The staff here are so nice and friendly, the food here is absolutely amazing! My husband and I ended up coming back two days in a row while on vacation and couldn't recommend it enough! We got the bison burger, the backyard burger, the pumpkin spice lava cake the first trip. Second trip we got the butter chicken, the bbq pork sando, and the matcha beignets. The food was so good both times!! Highly recommend after skiing at Sunday River! read more

This is my second visit . Food was great ! Bison Burger with truffle fries and pork belly Bao buns . Asked for a regular table not a high top. They sat strangers at our table while we were eating . It was uncomfortable. Please add some low two person tables . We will back this summer when we can eat outside . Two burgers and fries , 1 app and two lemonades . $87.00 . read more

Service wasn't good, mussels were overpriced and overcooked. No info on sauces for the burrito, super hot. Not coming back here again.

Food was great, Brussels were so CRIPSY. If you don't like Brussels you will now. Giant pretzel was 10/10 esp for the person who's " not hungry" . Devoured. Mustard is spicy but you can't get enough..beer cheese just enough flavor to even out the bites of spicy mustard. Flight of beers were good , always nice to try something new . Things that were recommended & that we tried , 10/10. Beer : awesome to try , we dabble in ipas. 7.8/10. We'd do another flight ‍ read more

From the funny wall art, outside seating, and exceptional staff, Steam Mill is a must if you're in the area. My fiancé and I got engaged last summer and this was our first stop. We returned this summer, and we were greeted with the same smiling faces, delicious food & drinks. There are live musicians several nights a week, along with games like jumbo jenga and cornhole. The specials menu include every kind of liquor you can think of in a mixed beverage. The staff are always welcoming, and they offer a variety of local brews to try! read more

I was visiting friends and decided to try this place one night. We started with the pulled pork nachos, which were amazing. For my main course, I had the cheeseburger, and it was honestly one of the best burgers I've ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

We enjoyed our time at the bar while waiting for a table. The bartenders were attentive and friendly and the drinks were great. Our waiter was great too- very upbeat and helpful. The major negative was the stools at the table. They were very small and uncomfortable, even for an average person. The pretzel, nachos, and cauliflower were great. The entrees were just ok. Next time, we may just stop for drinks and eat elsewhere. read more

Back to a favorite spot. As always truffle fries were great and so was the beer. Also had the brisket sandwich which was good but to be nitpicky (and this place is so good I think it's ok to be nitpicky) the caramelized onions could be more caramelized and the brisket was good but not great (not hughe flavour). But still a great spot with good food! read more

My family and I came here for lunch this past weekend. It's a cute little place with decent food, but it took us well over an hour to get our meals: 3 salads and a burger. There was a group of six who was seated while we were eating our appetizer and they got their food and finished eating before we did. There was no explanation for the slow service by the waitress. We all enjoyed the food, but the slow service would be enough for me to look for another option the next time I'm in the area. read more

What a great spot! We stopped in here while wandering around Bethel. Welcomed warmly by who I believe was the manager, who led us to a beautiful outdoor seating area. The beer here was SO. DAMN. GOOD. We got the blueberry beer and loved it so much we got a four pack to take home. Truly delicious and fresh beer. And they put blueberries in it! Gender neutral restroom and very clean. Overall super friendly staff. Note it is a little pricey, and they only do 12 oz pours, which kind of sucks. There's a food truck attached and I want to try it the next time I come! They had live music in the evening too. Just a really relaxed, fun spot. A must stop! read more

Good food, good service, friendly service. Staff didn't mind that we came in shortly before the kitchen closed. We'll be back.

Came here again après ski. The food really is the best to be had for miles around, and the service is friendly and fast. Truly excellent nachos, crispy, juicy wings, and great in-house beers. A must-visit place for folks in town to enjoy the Bethel area, in or out of ski season. read more

Steam Mill Brewing was incredible! We called ahead to see if we could come with our pup and they said there was outdoor seating in an A frame, so we bundled up and headed there. When we arrived, they offered such great hospitality by setting up a heater and table for us in the A frame. Service was outstanding and the wait staff checked on us multiple times throughout the visit to see if we needed anything (and to give pets to the pup)! The food was great--recommend the Nashville chicken sandwich, Pho bowl, and even a burger for the pup! Would definitely recommend this place and we will be coming back during our next trip to Sunday River! read more

Great beer, great people! We had a great time here sampling their seltzer flight and a good variety of their beers. The brewer and bartenders were super fun to talk to. Dogs are allowed out in the patio area and you can bring your own food. My favorites were the Whitecap Blueberry and the Lovers Lane IPA. 2 very fruity and refreshing beers on a nice fall day. LGBTQ+ friendly! read more

Great open space with a nice size bar! Staff was super friendly and food was really good. We had the crab Rangoon dip with fried wontons, delicious. We had the fried clams special and the BZMT (bacon, zucchini, mozzarella and tomato) focaccia sandwich. Their fries are super thin strips, nothing I've seen before, and I loved them! read more

Great spot! Food and staff were great! Would definitely revist and recommend to any visiting the Bethel area!

Huge disappointment. Service was awful. My nachos were cold. We had to flag servers down to order and I ended up needing to go to the bar to pay because no one came to our table, even after waving around one of their stupid flags. read more

First time going to STM. Great for kids. Beer is not good and food is very average. Our server was very nice but the management and ownership need a lot of improvement on customer service. Not happy how they handled our bill when the food wasn't prepared to our liking. read more

Went here while a bunch of people we were with were skiing. You could bring a dog as long as you were outside which wasn't too bad since there was heaters out there. The huts were nice and cozy. The food was fantastic. We originally ordered pretzels, brussel sprouts and bao buns. All were excellent but the bao buns were AMAZING! We ended up going back and ordering 3 more. I could've eaten them all day! The seltzers were okay. The guys enjoyed their beers. When our friends were finished skiing some of them came and joined us. We will definitely be back when we return to the area. read more

Great spot and very chill! We came here when we had dinner at Le Mu eats next door. Lots of seating space and very chill vibe. I see here comments about high price and small size of pours, maybe for the area it was pricy but visiting from Boston the price felt reasonable for the brew. I had the Watermelon IPA which was tasty, floral and herbal, although did not have a strong watermelon flavor or smell. Would be cool to come back when they have live music! read more

We were finally able to get to the Bethel area to try the Steam Mill Brewing and it was definitely worth the wait. We sat at the bar and the service and atmosphere was excellent. We started with the Buffalo dip for an appetizer and it great! I ordered the Maple Butter Salmon for dinner and my wife had the Beet salad. The Salmon had amazing flavors and the presentation was perfect. The beet salad was a large portion of fresh ingredients and was absolutely delicious!!! We are already looking forward to our next visit! Overall an awesome place to have a great time with cold beer and incredible food! read more

Definitely go to steam mill while you're at Sunday River. 1000% worth a stop. Their hard seltzer's are delicious! Highly recommend the flight. We did the charcuterie, brussel sprouts and veggie nachos & devoured them. Ben, our waiter, was attentive & very helpful. We did sit outside in their A-frames which have heaters and blankets; however, we were still a little chilly so something to keep in mind. We will be back! read more

Wow! I ordered the pho and drank every flavorful drop. It included a perfectly soft egg, pickled red onions, pea shoots, chili paste, jalapeños, Napa cabbage for accompaniments. The broth was rich and I would eat this every day if I could. My husband had the bao buns, my daughters had arancini and pulled pork tacos. The eclectic menu was right up our alley. I worry when I see that because I wonder how the chef can pull off all those cuisines equally, but they happily made me see that they can! Drinks we did not really try since it's January...::sigh:: we will be back for sure! read more

This review is for the brewery part. As a restaurant, it's more of a 4. The food was phenomenal, the fried chicken sandwich, so delicious. I love the spice. The chicken and waffles - the waffles were so soft and fluffy and fresh, the chicken was yummy also. The service could be better, but it's hard right now I get it. But the beer situation.... Very small selection compared to every other bar we've been to this weekend. The waitress said the beer menu we were given was not accurate, after we already perused it and painstakingly chose a beer. Then I was told the one I wanted they didn't have anymore so I ended up with Smuttynose in a Bud Light glass. There also weren't enough choices of stronger beers to please my husband. read more

Service, food, atmosphere, and ambiance the restaurant was clean and personnel were very efficient and friendly. Will definitely be back.

Great food and service. Always on our list to go have a good meal and time when we are up at Sunday River .

We ordered takeout from Le Mu in the same parking lot and saw that they shared an outdoor seating area with the brewery, so we ordered a couple beers and a flight of Hard Seltzers to enjoy with our meal. What a great treat! The White Cap Blueberry beer is light and refreshing with an amazing after taste. Loved that they offer seltzer flights- my fave was the Cherry Lime Raz. My sister's fave was the Cucumber. Spicy Pineapple is SPICY. If you are remotely weak, don't try it- your throat will be stunned. The coconut tastes just like coconut water. Service was outstanding! She was extremely friendly, checked on us regularly and even recommended a place for us to try for dinner. read more
