This is my second visit . Food was great ! Bison Burger with truffle fries and pork belly Bao buns . Asked for a regular table not a high top. They sat strangers at our table while we were eating . It was uncomfortable. Please add some low two person tables . We will back this summer when we can eat outside . Two burgers and fries , 1 app and two lemonades . $87.00 .

From the funny wall art, outside seating, and exceptional staff, Steam Mill is a must if you're in the area. My fiancé and I got engaged last summer and this was our first stop. We returned this summer, and we were greeted with the same smiling faces, delicious food & drinks. There are live musicians several nights a week, along with games like jumbo jenga and cornhole. The specials menu include every kind of liquor you can think of in a mixed beverage. The staff are always welcoming, and they offer a variety of local brews to try!

Food was great, Brussels were so CRIPSY. If you don't like Brussels you will now. Giant pretzel was 10/10 esp for the person who's " not hungry" . Devoured. Mustard is spicy but you can't get enough..beer cheese just enough flavor to even out the bites of spicy mustard. Flight of beers were good , always nice to try something new . Things that were recommended & that we tried , 10/10. Beer : awesome to try , we dabble in ipas. 7.8/10. We'd do another flight ‍

Amazing ambiance, friendly servers, beer options are hand crafted with care. Food is amazing to match the brews.

We enjoyed our time at the bar while waiting for a table. The bartenders were attentive and friendly and the drinks were great. Our waiter was great too- very upbeat and helpful. The major negative was the stools at the table. They were very small and uncomfortable, even for an average person. The pretzel, nachos, and cauliflower were great. The entrees were just ok. Next time, we may just stop for drinks and eat elsewhere.

Strawberry Margarita. Spicy and very good.

The service and food were very good. My husband and I would definitely go again. My only complaint was the chairs were so hard and uncomfortable.

What a great spot! We stopped in here while wandering around Bethel. Welcomed warmly by who I believe was the manager, who led us to a beautiful outdoor seating area. The beer here was SO. DAMN. GOOD. We got the blueberry beer and loved it so much we got a four pack to take home. Truly delicious and fresh beer. And they put blueberries in it! Gender neutral restroom and very clean. Overall super friendly staff. Note it is a little pricey, and they only do 12 oz pours, which kind of sucks. There's a food truck attached and I want to try it the next time I come! They had live music in the evening too. Just a really relaxed, fun spot. A must stop!

Steam Mill Brewing was incredible! We called ahead to see if we could come with our pup and they said there was outdoor seating in an A frame, so we bundled up and headed there. When we arrived, they offered such great hospitality by setting up a heater and table for us in the A frame. Service was outstanding and the wait staff checked on us multiple times throughout the visit to see if we needed anything (and to give pets to the pup)! The food was great--recommend the Nashville chicken sandwich, Pho bowl, and even a burger for the pup! Would definitely recommend this place and we will be coming back during our next trip to Sunday River!

Good food, good service, friendly service. Staff didn't mind that we came in shortly before the kitchen closed. We'll be back.

Fantastic and creative brews (and "guest stars" like a Absalom cider), a very relaxing and chill vibe, a nice open space inside, and incredible seating options outside, even in the winter. Lots of outdoor activities, including x-country skiing free of charge, and plenty of parking. Not having been here before, my friend and I appreciated the clear signage of where to go for food vs. gear. We were fortunate to get to the barn before all the morning skiers arrived for lunch and were able to order and seat ourselves pretty quickly upstairs. We looked at the menu and went back downstairs to order food and drinks. The drinks we carried upstairs, but the pizza we ordered was brought to us. To pay and to order more drinks, downstairs you go. And with the free x-country ski trails, on a nice day, this place jams up pretty fast. Soon tables are packed, there are lines to get food and drinks, and to use the 3 individual non-gender restrooms. Just a few things I found a bit odd or inconvenient - 1) They have a wonderful beer selection, but don't do flights :( 2) The hybrid service model is a bit confusing and certainly inconvenient. Technology could certainly help smooth this out. 3) To pay, you either have to pay in full (and tip) when you order, or have to wait in line at the same line where people are ordering in order to pay, 4) 3 single bathrooms are not enough for the peak capacity Aside from the wonderful beer selection, the highlights were free x-country skiing with a warming hut, plenty of parking and friendly staff. This is my new go-to winter refuge :)

I was honestly shocked to see a real veggie option on the menu that wasn't a veggie burger (although they have that too), so I had to try the chimichurri tofu. It was cooked well - 4 slices cut thin enough to give it a good crispy exterior. The chimichurri sauce was tasty. However, it feels like whoever created this dish has never cooked with tofu before or at least not very much. My suggestion would be marinating the tofu before cooking. The chimichurri made it somewhat enjoyable (I did finish it all!) but the flavor dissolves quickly as you chew through the tofu. I think marinating it will really seal the deal on that dish. Otherwise, the service was great, very friendly and very prompt. The building is quaint and bigger than it looks from the outside. I think my entree was a little overpriced for what I got at $23, but I digress. I see the vision and wish them success.

But it wasn't all bad--I'll start with the positives! The staff were great--super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I also enjoyed the fries, which were plentiful, and the pomegranate blonde ale, which was very refreshing. Although we didn't play, I was happy to see a stack of games on the bar. We were seated upstairs at the recommendation of the hostess. The decor was a little dated but it gave me a cozy and nostalgic feel. Now to the not-so-positives. I ordered the caprese sandwich and in the first bite, I was alarmed to feel something hard, sharp, and un-chewable. Confused, I had to fish whatever it was out of my mouth and found a small piece of what felt like some kind of wood. I realized after a couple minutes that it was the same color and texture as the toothpicks that held the sandwich together. I'm not sure how it got in my mouth--maybe a piece broke off in the kitchen and got stuck in or on the sandwich--but it was the first bite and I wasn't anywhere near where the toothpicks stabbed the sandwiches. Luckily that was the only splintered piece I found in my food, but I was very cautious for the rest of the meal. Honestly, if not for this, this probably would have been a 4-star review, but it put me a little on edge for the rest of the experience. The sandwich itself was decent--the bread was a little charred, but I actually kind of prefer that myself. Caprese sandwiches are always simple and good, as long as the ingredients are decent. The worst part for me was the price. I'm happy to pay a little extra for a great meal, but $18 for a caprese sandwich feels steep. I'm not from around here, so maybe this is normal in these parts where there are limited dinner options. My wife's tofu dinner was $23 for a small portion--back home we could get twice as much tofu for half the price. I always thought city life was more expensive, but I've learned my lesson here!
