Smelled of stale beer and was very dark. Decided to give it another try and so glad we did! The place was bright, clean, and friendly. Mainly buffalo chicken cut up inside the wrap but also lettuce and possibly some blue cheese. The chips and pickle on the side were good too. I also ordered a large garden salad ($9) that was decent. My buddy got homemade chicken tender dinner ($16) plate. I could tell he was bummed the order only comes with 3 tenders. He said they were very good tho and the light breading was like a shell on the chicken. His side salad was small but he enjoyed it. The fries looked good. His mom got the cheeseburger medium rare and it was well done. She ate it but said thats typical of Wilderness. Overall a pretty decent option to get a bite to eat with limited choices nearby. The waitresses are friendly and the drinks are cold.

The ladies running the place are super sweet, but the chef is truly the star of the show. She single-handedly slays that tiny kitchen and produces great food at breakneck speeds. Her whole prep area is about 2ft by 2ft. When we arrived, there were six others that had just arrived too. She whirls around that tiny kitchen, whipping up masterpieces, all the while chatting up the regulars sitting at the counter. We had a traditional breakfast of eggs, potatoes, bacon, pancakes and toast. All of it hot and delicious. I highly recommend you stop in if you get the chance.

When we finally saw our server again it was with our check, no "how was everything? any room for dessert?" My daughter did want something and our server seemed pretty annoyed with that. Part of me feels bad for leaving a $5 tip on a $50 check but the tip isn't about the food (which as I said was hot and tasty) it's about the service.
