Waitress we had could of been nicer. This restaurant needs to update their menus. Don't have certain items which is listed on their menu, (online and in house). We ordered two dinners, chicken kabob and Rumanian steak. The kabob came out and the steak order was someone else's (different steak). The owner followed the waitress and told her that it was the wrong order. He took it back to the kitchen and never said sorry or even made contact with me. My wife was done with her meal and about 10 minutes later my steak arrived without the potato or broccoli (my choice of vegetables). 10 minutes later my potato came out with the wrong and cold vegetable medley. I've had the unfortunate experience of coming here a few times simply because it's conveniently located 5 minutes from my house. I was never a big fan but the last time I was there was the straw that broke the camels back. I ordered mozzarella sticks and a salad which had what I thought were slices of tuna in it. When the mozzarella sticks came out, I couldn't wrap my head around what they were. They looked like someone took a block of mozzarella, cut it into pieces, breaded them and threw them in the fryer. Not to mention they were burned so that the breaded exterior of the mozzarella sticks were very tough. Then I got my salad. The salad was fine but I wasn't expecting to see a tuna steak sitting in the middle of my salad. I'm not a picky person and would have eaten it if it were edible. The tuna steak looked old and dry. It didn't even fall apart when I stuck my fork in it. I had to use a fork and knife to separate it. Needless to say, I left feeling hungry and had a few less dollars in my pocket. The food took forever to come out and when it was bland. Every time I have gone here something DISGUSTING occurred. The first time I went, my water was served with lemons that looked like they were rolled around on the floor and then plopped into my drink. If I could give them no stars, I would. My husband and I haven't been to this diner in a couple of years because of how busy we've both been so we decided to go back because we remembered how much we liked it a few years ago when we were in the area. In short, the place was nothing like it was. The diner was dingy and dirty. We waited about 5 minutes as both hostesses looked at us but didn't acknowledge us. Once we were seated, the booth was dirty, the table was still wet from the dingy rag the bus boy used to clean the table. We should have just gotten up and left right then and there. My husband and I both ordered a cheeseburger deluxe and a soda. My Sprite tasted flat and medicinal like the soda lines hadn't ever been cleaned. Our burgers came quickly and our server was pleasant (the only good part of the night). Our buns were soggy from the lettuce and tomato that they put on the burger instead of on the side. The burgers tasted okay, but something wasn't quite right. The French fries tasted like band aids--the oil hadn't been changed in quite a while. To make a long story short, within an hour of eating there my husband and I were terribly sick. Needless to say, we're never going back to this place--they're nothing like the original Park West on route 46--even though the Park Wayne is run by the owner's son of the Park West. One of the best diners I have been to. My husband and I come here all the time even though we have to drive quite a little bit. Food is best for a good price and service is excellent, all the servers are friendly. Last weekend we were there for breakfast, they were packed but it took us less than a minute to be seated. We were only going to order pancakes but once you check their menu it is not possible to order pancakes only. This is my first time coming here. One, it feels hella fancy but in a comfortable way. Two, there is complimentary bread and a side dish. For this visit, we had pickled beets, and that was delicious for my first time. One person I was with got the prime rib, which was huge. They also got a salad, cup of soup, and a side of vegetables. I got the healthy pasta, and while it was good, this was also huge. I felt like it could have used a bit more flavour but it was good with the sundried tomatoes and the mushroom and broccoli.
